Will be heading down to Orlando, 2nd week in June with daughter, girlfriend, and her two kids. Was wondering which night spots to hit, Pleasure island @ Disney or City Walk @ Universal Studios? My parents will be going along too and can watch kids while we are visiting these night spots. Will probably be going on a Saturday night. I'm 32 years old and she is 26 years old and we both like the dance club scene and the kick back and chill out scene. Which place would you go if you only had one night to do this sort of thing?

IMO, CityWalk would be a better choice if you enjoy dance clubs and an atmosphere that is a flashier. On Saturdays, it gets really crowded.

The Pleasure Island area would give your kids more options since they can go to the Marketplace or West Side with your parents while you enjoy the Clubs.

To kick back & chill out you could try the Adventurers Club if you are at Pleasure Island. I haven't heard of City Walk having anything similar to it. I think the AC is one of a kind. I don't go to dance clubs so I couldn't do that sort of comparison between the two areas regarding that topic.

I just returned from the world and did both City Walk and PI. As an adult I liked PI better. To me, City Walk was full of young people under 21. I just didn't think it had the atmosphere that PI has. Unfortunately, PI has the fee to get in.

PI might be better if the folks are sitting. PI tends to get hopping earlier than CityWalk. PI is happening by 9:00 but CW is dead until at least 10:00. Some of the entertainment doesn't even start until 10:00 at CW.

You have to be 21+ to get into all of the CityWalk clubs.

At PI, you can run into teens in some of the clubs.
