Just a quick question, do they do the refillable drink mugs at Universal, the things where you pay a set price for the mug and then a small charge to refill?
Thanks,
Zoe

If you buy one from the gift shop, they cost $5. If you buy them for a stand, they can run anywhere from $5 to $9. There's $5 ones that look like dragons in the Lost Continent. There are others at the other islands and USF for $9. You can find some at restaurants for $2.69. You can get refills at both parks, no matter if you got it at USF or IOA.
BTW, water refills are always free. :)

There's one for Seuss Landing. It has the Cat in the Hat on the top and a cartoony map of Seuss Landing on the bottom.

You can also get your cups refilled with Slurpee's and let me tell, on a hot Florida day that is the best way to stay a little cooler!
I will be there this cominf weekend. I bought a refillable mug at the Studios and it has Scooby Doo on it - you can find so many different kinds of cups. :)

the "Yard of Beer" mugs.
You know the one with the safety harness that fits around your neck so in case you stumble and your beverage slips out your hand only to be saved by this wonder device from hitting the ground. Whew.
Do they sell these as refillable mugs too?

My son has the cup with the marvel heros figurines on top...:) This is new to me about refills in the park. We will certainly be bringing his cup back this summer!

Where can you find the cheaper mugs? Are the refills always the same $1.79 charge no matter what you paid for the mug? Are they labeled refillable when you buy them? With so many mugs how do they keep track of all the different mugs?

I'd like to know to, how do you know your purchasing a refillable mug and are they clearly marked refillable. Can they be refilled with achochol or just soda and slurpies? And Barrry what resturants have them for the lower cost if you happen to know.

The $2.69 was right after 9/11 so that special might not still be in effect. the refillables seem to be cheaper when you buy them with a meal. So on your first time around IOA, stop in each food place and see what the price is and then but it at the cheapest place.
the twister cups i believe are all gone. the narrow part in the middle made it tough to get ice to the bottom.
if you are not sure if it is a refillable, just ask before you buy it. :smooth:
Someone asked, but I didn't see an answer. Can they be refilled at the resorts?:sunny:

On a recent trip, I didn't see any of the $2.69 mugs available. :( I think if you buy a $5 plastic mug in the gift shop, they will refill it for $2 + tax.
Resorts have no refillable mugs, so you can't refill them there. :(
BTW, if you just want water, any drink stand can fill up your water bottle for free. I usually ask when they're not very busy. You can also refill it from the water fountains. The drink stands seem to have colder water, though.
