Where do I start?????
In September I, along with around 20,000 other Disney fans, applied to be on the 2009 WDW Moms Panel. I really never thought I had a chance and was amazed to make it to round 2 and then again to the final telephone interview round. I'd convinced myself that I really mucked up the interview so was absolutely astounded when the call came on November 5th to announce that I'd made it :faint:
Fast-forward a few weeks and I'd chatted online with all the other 15 panellists, signed my contract and was waiting at Gatwick airport ready to fly to Florida.
I must admit to being slightly nervous, not only was I flying alone for the first time but I was also diving head first into the unknown. I had no clue what I would be doing for the next few days, where I’d be eating etc, a completely different trip to which I’m used to!!! Plus most importantly who was I going to talk to for the next 14ish hours :rotfl:
After a 10 hour flight, thanks to a head wind, I arrived at MCO and it was almost dark  As we normally travel in August this was very weird for me!!!! I knew that I had a driver to pick me up but suddenly realised that I couldn’t remember where I was meant to meet him! I vaguely recalled A so I headed that way and I was right, there was Tim holding a VIP sign with my name on it :yay: Now I’m not sure if Tim realised that I hadn’t spoken to anyone in hours but by the end of our journey when I hadn’t stopped for breath I think he must have realised :lmao: He was such a lovely man and so easy to talk to.
I arrived at Coronado Springs Resort at approximately 7.30pm (12.30am my time) and checked in, a nice touch was the manager coming out to greet me and hand me my special envelope.
After wandering around for a while I eventually found my room in Casitas 1, I was on the fourth floor and literally only the second room from the elevator which led directly to the convention centre so a superb location. After a quick bite to eat I was in bed by 8.45pm. Now on a normal trip I would literally fall straight to sleep but having read my itinerary for the next few days sleeping was impossible, this became a recurring theme of the week!
Here are a few photos of the gorgeous newly renovated rooms at CSR. (sorry the photos aren't fantastic quality but I was very tired!)

After struggling to get to sleep last night I awoke after what I thought was a good nights sleep, I turned the light on to check the time and it said 2am :faint: I managed to doze off a few more times but at 5.45am I gave up and did some ironing, yes I was that bored that I ironed :rotfl:
I showered and dressed and decided to explore the resort, this was the view from my room.

I was also excited to see this sign, it wasn’t there for me, as due to my flight time and the time difference, I flew in a day earlier than everyone else. But it meant that all my fellow Moms would be arriving shortly!
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb54/disneyjo73/WDW%20%20Moms%20Panel/022.jpg
It was a slightly chilly morning but having left England in frosty conditions I was in my shorts, I think people could tell I was English :lmao: The sun was just coming up and I had a lovely walk around the lake.

Our first scheduled meet wasn’t until 4.30pm so I had all morning to play. I’d found out that 2 DIS friends would be in Epcot today so I arranged to meet them there. I arrived about 8.15am and found a bench to wait. One big difference I was noticing already was just how quiet December is compared to August!!! I soon spotted Heidi (SkyGirl) and her DD Figments Friend and after some hugs we chatted like long lost friends. We also actually remembered to take photos!

It was now time for me to head out as I had lunch reservations with 2 other DISers. I jumped onto the Monorail and decided I would walk from the TTC to the GF. It really was a beautiful day and walking along the beach was so peaceful and relaxing.
I was excited at seeing the Gingerbread House and it didn’t disappoint. I had lots of time to wander and the smell when the chimney smokes is just gorgeous.

Lunch was going to be at the Grand Floridian Café with Angela (Askelton) and Jen (PrincessJV) I had met Angela in August but it was my first meet with Jen. Again both ladies were fabulous and we had a fun lunch with many laughs. One funny thing was when I showed my room key to Jen, I said that it was yellow and I’d always had a blue one before. She replied “That’s not yellow honey that’s gold” :rotfl:

http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb54/disneyjo73/WDW%20%20Moms%20Panel/043-1.jpg
All too soon it was time to leave, Angela kindly gave me a lift back to CSR. I decided that before going for a nap (which I badly needed) I’d see if any “Moms” had arrived and they had :yay: I really can’t remember quite who was there but many hugs were had and everyone was so friendly. Most of them were off to explore a park so I said I’d see them later and headed to my room.
Again I didn’t manage to sleep, my head was just buzzing with all the exciting things scheduled for our training (I will tell you what they are soon I promise) I suppose as a SAHM who golf’s and DIS’s all day my mind isn’t used to so much excitement :rotfl2: So again I gave up and got ready for our first meet…………………………

I made my way down to Rixs Bar at about 4.15pm, this was our first scheduled meet and the first time we would meet all the panellists and our team leaders Laura and Leanne. More hugs and introductions were made and after a little while we were led into the bar. The first thing I spied was a bright light attached to a camera  OMG I didn’t realise we’d be chucked in at the deep end. I walked in with such a silly smile on my face, which kept appearing every time the camera was around :rotfl: I was introduced to several non-panel members and it really is hazy who they were or what they did within the Disney Company but they were very pleasant. At one point I laughed a bit hard and chucked my head backwards not realising the camera man was behind me, wow that camera is hard because that hurt :lmao: One of the panellists, Kay, had bought us all snowman Mickey ears with Mom embroidered on the back, she is such a sweetie and some of us posed wearing them.

After a few drinks and some nibbles we were led to our private bus, the driver was Tim who picked me up from the airport the day before :) We were driven to MK, entering via the back entrance, all of us were amazed to see behind the scenes and were soon told that photos weren’t allowed!!!!

Tour…………………………………..
Cinderella Castle Suite!!!!!!!!!
We were split into 2 groups as the suite isn’t large enough to hold our party, which was up to about 25 people. Also the elevator would never have fitted us all in! I was in the first group and we were all so excited to view such an amazing place. I took tons of photos so I hope I don’t bore you!

After our amazing tour we waited outside for the other group to have their tour, we were just in time for the lighting up ceremony, wow the Castle is awesome covered in lights, I’d seen photos but nothing could compare to real life! Whilst we were waiting I feel a little prod and it is Jen, she found me :yay: I also got to meet her lovely DH and her cute DS and DD. I had a photo with her children who are just adorable and Tink (her DD) was wearing the cutest dress! It was so funny after they left as a few “Moms” said how unbelievable it was that the person who lived the furthest away met someone she knew :rotfl:
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb54/disneyjo73/WDW%20%20Moms%20Panel/082.jpg
Once the other group had finished we made our way to Crystal Palace, we made quite an entrance with our camera crew and people were all wondering who we were :rotfl: The table next to mine were interviewed, luckily I escaped that!!!!
We had some lovely food, although to be honest I was so tired I didn’t know whether I was eating breakfast, lunch or dinner :lmao: The characters also visited us.

Oh yes one thing I haven’t said is that not only were the 16 new panellists there but several of the 2008 ones were too. Officially there to help us with our training were Bri, Beth and Heather. And unofficially were Kim, Michelle and Bret. Bret actually came and found us at CP which was great of him :goodvibes
We were then ushered to the front of the park where we had VIP viewing for the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party parade. The whole of the Main Street Station was reserved for us! There were also lots of cookies (not that I was hungry) and also drinks and amazingly alcohol :faint: Yep alcohol in the MK!!!!!
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb54/disneyjo73/WDW%20%20Moms%20Panel/Wishes.jpg
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb54/disneyjo73/WDW%20%20Moms%20Panel/088.jpg
Whilst we were waiting for the parade to start a few of us, including me, were filmed chatting and we were a bit silly pretending to point at stuff and laughing, it was just visual no sound!
Laura then said that she had something special to announce, she had 2 bags, 1 with the 2009 names in and 1 with the 2008 names in. One lucky person from each bag would be chosen to spend the night in Cinderella Castle Suite :faint: The 2008 winner could choose their date but the 2009 winner would be staying there on Sunday night.
Beatrice was chosen as the 2008 winner and Cathy as the 2009 winner. It was so wonderful that Cathy’s name was chosen as she was the only panellist there with her family (she had already booked her trip before being selected) and she was in floods of tears telling them!
It was then time for the parade, which was wonderful but unfortunately my photos didn’t come out very well, this was the only half decent one.

http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb54/disneyjo73/WDW%20%20Moms%20Panel/1.jpg
We then had time for a little shopping before the fireworks and wow what an amazing view!

http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb54/disneyjo73/WDW%20%20Moms%20Panel/140-Copy.jpg
We now had about an hour of free time before the bus left at 11pm, I was literally asleep on my feet and at first decided that I would find a chair somewhere and chill, then I thought nah I may miss something :rotfl: The other “Moms” couldn’t believe I was still going!!!!
First stop was BTMRR in the dark and it was great, there were lots of screams and laughs. We then headed for Haunted Mansion but the queue was too long so we somehow ended up on Small World  We chatted the whole way through and probably annoyed the rest of the boat, whoops. BTW I can’t get over how awake I look in this photo!

Our time was almost up so we headed back to our meeting place, I found a comfy post and almost fell asleep leaning on it :rotfl: After exiting the park via a secret back exit we were back to CSR by about 11.30pm.
Tomorrow starts with a working breakfast at 8.30am, hope I get some sleep!

Again I struggled to sleep, I never have this problem at home, must be all the excitement! I was showered and dressed by 6.30am and after getting a hot chocolate took a stroll around the lake again. CSR really is very beautiful first thing in the morning.
Breakfast was at 8.30am in the conference room and a huge spread was laid out, I’m not really a hot breakfast eater so I just had some fruit and pastries. Whilst we were eating one of the “Moms” Kay stood up and told us she wanted to share a family tradition with us. She handed us each an envelope, in one was a $10 bill, another had $5 and the rest were $1 (so we were all winners) she does this every morning with her family but said that she could only afford to do it once with our group as there were so many of us :rotfl: I had a $ (Disney Dollar no less) but Tanya who was sat next to me had the $5!
Cathy then stood up and announced that unfortunately her family had been unable to change their flights so would be unable to stay with her in the Castle Suite the next day. This meant that she would pick her 5 roommates out of a hat. Not sure of the order but the names that came out were Anna, Diane L, Joanne, Kay and then lastly Tanya. She announced though that she would like to give her place to……………..
Me :faint:
I didn’t know what to do, I was so grateful but didn’t want the other Moms to think badly of me. I decided though that I’d be silly not to accept, thank you so much Tanya
After all that excitement we then had an informal chat from 2 key Cast Members welcoming us and they told us some funny stories. It was then time to do our whistle stop resorts tour.
Please excuse the silly face!

Angel was our host and he was very good. First stop was All Stars to view the new family suites, I can definitely see how nice it would be to have the kids sleeping in a different room to the adults. Next was to the CBR to view the new Pirate rooms and wow they are so cool. I can see that every little boy and lots of little girls would love to stay here.
Here are a few photos, take note of the plank carpet, dividing curtain, the barrels and the etching on the bathroom wall!

Back on the bus and next stop was SSR to view the DVC models. First was the BLT, which was stunning, followed by the AKLV. Sorry I didn’t take photos, as I know they can be found easily here on the DIS. If I had to pick I’d definitely go for the BLT, I seem to prefer the modern look rather than the rustic :rotfl:
It was now close to lunchtime and we were off to the Contemporary to eat at the Wave. We had our own private room, which was lovely. Kay had us laughing the whole meal but for the life of me I can’t remember about what :lmao:
I had lamb lettuce wraps followed by a cheeseburger. The food was nice but a little spicy for me, hence the burger! We also acted like kids asking for light up Tinkerbells!!! Everyone was stuffed so we skipped dessert and as we had some free time all 16 of us headed to Epcot.
Once we arrived we split up, some went shopping but 12 went to TT. You can see from the photos which were the crazy bunch, guess which group I’m in :rotfl:

After a half hour lay on the bed I once again gave up on the whole sleep thing and went and got a drink. We had all arranged to meet in Cathy’s room as lots of us had read that the 2008 panel received a basket of goodies at last years training, we thought it would be nice if we made baskets from us all to give to Laura, Leanne and her team. I took Cadburys chocolate and English tea. The amount of stuff we had was phenomenal!

Tonight’s plans called for us to meet at the bus at 6pm. We then headed for DHS where we arrived just as they turned the Osborne lights on. This was my first viewing of the lights and they were amazing, especially when they danced to the music. We very slowly made our way down the Street, the crowds were huge, as we were meant to be getting a group photo in front of the lights. Due to the huge crowds we didn’t make it in time though so headed straight to TSM. The line was huge but luckily Laura had special FP’s for all of us :)

We now had about 45 minutes of spare time so a few of us ran to ToT. This was really great, the first time I’d ridden in the dark and so much fun. My lack of sleep was again affecting me and I did think that maybe ToT wasn’t a good choice of ride but I was fine :rotfl:
Once we finished riding we literally had 2 minutes until we had to be at the Hollywood Brown Derby so we speed walked it, arrived all breathless and they were still waiting to be seated :lmao:
We were shown to a huge long table and I sat with some of the 2008 panellists. A little way through our meal our special guest arrived, his name was Gary and he was hilarious, unfortunately he sat at the other end of the table to me so I missed all his jokes, but I could hear the laughs :rotfl:
After quite a long meal we were led back to American Idol but this time we went inside! BTW DHS was now shut and it was so lovely walking round an empty park, I could so get used to that :lmao: No photos were allowed inside AI but I can say, having never watched the show, that it’s amazing, so life like and the opportunities it’s going to give talented singers is amazing!
We crawl back onto the bus and finally get back to CSR about 11.30pm, it’s been a long busy day. As I enter my room I see…………..

I woke up feeling as though I’d finally gotten a good nights sleep, I switched on the light to check the time and it was 2.30 am :faint: So much for a long sleep :rotfl:
Todays plan was for us to meet in the conference room at 8 am for breakfast. We were joined by some people from different Disney websites. Whilst we ate I was interviewed by Deb from allears, someone from Mickey News and errrr someone else :lmao: (I'd given up on taking notes by this point, there just wasn't the time!!!)
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb54/disneyjo73/WDW%20%20Moms%20Panel/182.jpg
Today we were going to learn how to use the website, before we started though we gave our goodie bags to Laura, Leanne and the team. I think they were very surprised especially as they were so large :rotfl2: We all had our own desk with a computer on and also on the desk was a lovely embroidered messenger bag, 2 Moms panel pens and a Moms Panel mouse mat. Also Joanne from Canada had left us each a Canadian flag and pin, which was very sweet of her. I found a seat but once our speaker started talking I realised that I am going deaf, I’ve been disputing the fact with DH for a while, and moved to the front where I could hear!
After about 2 hours a strange man came into our room, he started asking us if we were the Campbell family (or similar) over and over again. When we said we weren’t he wondered whether we wanted to listen to the song he’d written anyway. Well OMG he was fantastic, so funny, the song was all about the Moms Panel and us. We were in stitches and gave him a standing ovation. It turns out he was the famous Guitar Dan and the interesting facts about ourselves that Laura had asked for before our trip were used in his lyrics. Bri from the 2008 panel videoed it and it is under videos on my FB page but I can’t work out how to make it public, sorry!

Well after all the fun we had a small break before lunch, during lunch we had a couple of guest speakers from transport. After another delicious meal we had a presentation from the people in charge of next years “What will you Celebrate”. They showed us lots of the special things planned and the new merchandise. Also some very yummy looking cakes, which we were allowed to sample :)
At 3.45pm we boarded the bus to Epcot where we were shooting a small video outside of the Seas. As far as I know it will be going on the website once we go live. It took quite a while to shoot as planes kept flying over, monorails went past and people kept being noisy :rotfl: It took me several takes to get my lines right, we had cue cards and although I’d memorised what I had to say I kept looking at the cards and they put me off, I’m so not cut out to be an actress :lmao:
We had a little bit of free time again so we headed to Soarin but couldn’t get on so I think we rode TT, I was so upset at having to ride again ;) :rotfl: A few of us got the bus back to CSR and had to wait about 20 minutes, where was our private bus when we needed it :rotfl2:
There was time for a quick freshen up before boarding the bus again at 7.30pm for dinner!

Dinner tonight was at Jiko at the AKL, we were shown to our own private room, which was gorgeous. We had a personalised menu and we were being treated to an amazing 8-course menu!!!! I brought the menu home with me so I could share it with you!
Taste of Africa ~ Trio of dips with assorted breads and house-made Naan.
Individual Appetizer Sampler Plate:
Spiced Briouats ~ Pulled Beef rolled in Naan with tomato-date jam.
Curried Samosas ~ Crispy pockets with potato, sweet corn and sweet tamarind dipping sauce.
Duck confit and fig salad with comice pears, black mission figs and goat cheese crouton.
Choice of the following starter:
Barbecue chicken flatbread with grilled onion, apple, African barbecue sauce and four cheeses.
Or
Fire-roasted mussels with lamb merguez, sweet potatoes and spiced tomato broth.
Soup:
Roasted kuri squash soup with spiced yogurt and roasted chestnuts.
Salad:
Tomato cucumber salad with red onions and watermelon vinaigrette.
Intermezzo
Choice of the following main plate:
Wood-fired lamb loin with spiced lentils, baby carrots and lemon-infused demi-glace.
Oak-grilled filet mignon with macaroni & cheese and red wine sauce.
Maize-crusted sturgeon with vegetables of the moment and tomato-butter sauce.
Chermoula tanglewood chicken with goat cheese mashed potatoes, preserved lemons and harissa.
Jiko Dessert Sampler:
A taste of our favorite three desserts… To share.
I so wished I liked spicy food as it all looked so lovely, I did try a little of everything though. For my starter I chose the flatbread but without the apples as I’m allergic and it was very delicious. For my main I chose the Filet, which again was yummy, the mac and cheese was an odd accompaniment though!
In between each course the chef came out to explain what each dish was and we also had our own sommelier. We were also joined by several guests, one who was in charge of Disney Dining and very knowledgeable!
Several hours passed and as 6 of us were being picked up at about 10pm we had our dessert boxed up to go. Because we were headed back to the MK!!!!!
We walked outside to see our carriage waiting, not Cinderellas I’m afraid as it was too far for the horses to go :rotfl: But it was a big car, sorry not sure what type but it did have a nice sign on the side :)

Katie was waiting to whisk us away to our fairytale abode for the night. During the drive she told us that MK was hosting a MVMCP tonight and we were welcome in the 1.5 hours left to ride some rides. Due to on-stage shows we were informed that once we entered the Castle Suite it was very difficult for us to leave again so we unanimously decided to ride some rides :yay:
First stop was Buzz and with our own personal fastpass Katie we were straight on. I scored pretty good and after talking with Katie will definitely be scoring higher next time!
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb54/disneyjo73/WDW%20%20Moms%20Panel/190.jpg
Next stop was Space Mountain and after riding the right side Katie asked us if we’d like to ride the left side straight away to compare, well how could we refuse and we were shooting off through space again. Kay was hilarious on this and made funny errrrr errrr errrrr noises throughout, we were all in hysterics :rotfl: The time was going amazingly quickly and we had time for one ride on the Haunted Mansion before heading to the suite :goodvibes

So like 6 eight year old girls we were led to the suite, by the way we would act like eight year old girls for most of the night :rotfl: We were soon in the elevator heading up to the suite. We were each given our own personalised key card but as Cathy originally won the Castle stay we let her do the honours!
We excitedly entered and even though we’d toured the Suite only a few days ago it was now our room for the night so everything seemed new again! Strangely enough the first thing I noticed was a beautiful white chocolate carriage containing chocolate covered strawberries, not sure why I noticed that first :rolleyes1 :lmao:

After we’d all explored, found our bags stowed in the wardrobe and the fridge full of drinks we changed into our Pyjamas. We then had to do a little bit of posing :rotfl:

We’d asked when we arrived if it would be possible to have our photo taken outside the Castle in our PJ’s and robes and they said yes!!!! At about 1.15am after everything had been cleared from the show our “butler” came and escorted us out. It felt so surreal and honestly as if it was happening to someone else.
Joanne saying, “We’re here!!!”

http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb54/disneyjo73/WDW%20%20Moms%20Panel/Castle.jpg
After about 15 minutes we were ushered back inside, as we got out of the elevator our “butler” (I can’t remember his name so lets call him B!) asked who had the key. Well we all looked at each other as if to say we needed a key???? :lmao: We all just curled up as B disappeared to get the master key to let us in, it was just hilarious and for 6 girls high on excitement and, well a little alcohol from dinner, it was just too much :rotfl2:
I’d heard that you were allowed to phone anywhere in the world from Cinderella’s phone so once we finally got in I asked if I could phone my family. I had let the girls know that I would be calling them at about 6.30am their time so they were waiting for me. It was an odd call because all of a sudden, even though I was having such a fantastic time, I realised what an amazing experience it would have been to have my husband and 2 girls with me, maybe one day we’ll be lucky enough, you never know!
So after all that we were so tired and crashed. I was sharing a bed with Joanne from Canada and the eight year old girls appeared again, we just all got the giggles, I can’t even remember what about but we just couldn’t stop! At one point I know we couldn’t get the super duper mirror turned picture turned TV to turn off and almost had to call B up to come and turn it off!
We finally fell asleep in the most Magical Place on Earth :goodvibes

All too soon our wakeup call came, we were being taken back to CSR at 7am as today was *gasp* video shoot day  We all quickly packed our things, left the robes and towels behind but did take the stationary (we even asked for more so we all got enough for our children) and had the chocolate carriage boxed up, we thought it would be a nice gesture to take that for the other panellists to share.
There was a flurry of activity on Main Street, the Christmas decorations which had been taken down for the party had all miraculously reappeared over night, even the tree. Everything was being given a good clean and there were CM’s everywhere. Some of us got our cameras out only to be told no photos :sad1: I suppose it would ruin some of the magic!
We were soon back to CSR and we must have looked a strange sight walking through the resort in our jammies, yep we didn’t bother changing :rotfl: I opened my door and there is a big gift basket on the desk, another one!!!!! We are being totally spoilt. This one was mainly things with the Moms Panel Logo on.

We received a lovely jacket, watch, pen, mouse mat, sticky note block, plush Mickey, plush Minnie, trading pin, Mickey ears and some coasters for the car. All are fantastic and I’d like to say a huge thank you again to Laura and Leanne just incase they read :grouphug:
I managed a quick shower and tried to make myself half presentable, I tried to cover up the dark circles under my eyes :lmao: We had to meet at 9am to catch the bus to Epcot again, but before we boarded we had a visit from a very special guest, Meg Crofton the President of WDW. She was really lovely and took the time to speak to each and every one of us, we then had some photos taken!
The shoot was happening near Italy which was completely empty at that time in the morning. Most of us had decided to wear our jackets and we were a vision in pink, well except Doug who’s jacket was blue! We were led to the waterside where bottles of water etc were laid out, we decided to take some impromptu group photos and soon the official photographer took over. Then the Main Man arrived and we had our first official character shots :)

Next we were lined up to have our headshots and our own Mickey photo’s taken then it was over to the make up artist. I was one of the last to shoot my video and I’m not sure if that was good or bad. I really was very nervous and probably really annoyed my poor camera man, by the way there were 4 cameras shooting different people at the same time. I’m not sure whether it was pure lack of sleep, the bright lights and sun or nerves but I was, or felt I was, rubbish! I just couldn’t remember what I wanted to say, any tiny slip up and I’d stop when I should have carried on. Lets just say the editors have their work cut out with my video and I’m really not looking forward to its release on 5th January on the Disneyworldmoms.com website!

Eventually it was over and there was only Jodi and I left so we wandered to Soarin, I had to buy a funnel cake on the way, can’t go to WDW and not have a funnel cake :rotfl: We had just enough time to ride Soarin and then go to Mouse Gear where I bought the girls some Goofy Candy which they’d requested. We made it back to Japan, as we were eating at Teppan Edo, just in time to see that we had to shoot another video!

What exactly is the Disney Moms Panel? I am delighted you are in it as it looks like a terrific adventure to be involved with.:goodvibes It's part of the main WDW web site, it's basically a panel of 16 people (12 until January 5th) and upcoming guests can e-mail their questions in. Although there are many forums like the DIS on the internet many people don't realise and don't make it past the main WDW site. So Disney came up with the idea of the Moms panel as a way for them to ask questions and get personal replies from people just like them ie Moms not Castmembers. We're allowed to be completely honest even if that means telling people to hire their strollers offsite or that we think a ride is rubbish, it's all uncensored, well unless we swear obviously :rotfl2: Click here to see it! (www.disneyworldmoms.com)
BTW everyone once I go live on 5th January can you all send me (you can click on my name) some really, really, really easy questions to give me practise please :rotfl2:

We arrived in Japan to see most of the “Moms” lined up on the restaurant steps and the camera crew there. We had been told we would be shooting some kind of Grand Gathering video but though that it would actually be in the restaurant. Jodi and I took our places on the steps and smiled away :rotfl:
Luckily this time we didn’t have to say anything, we just had to sit in the bright sunshine and look pretty :lmao:
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb54/disneyjo73/WDW%20%20Moms%20Panel/d02dc15d.jpg
Filming took about 30 minutes and we were then led into Teppan Edo, one of my favourite restaurants. We had a whole section to ourselves and during our meal more filming was shot. The food was absolutely gorgeous and our chef was great, I really do love this restaurant because it combines delicious food with entertainment.

All too soon we were being whisked out of Teppan and back onto our bus. We had a Guestology Tour at MK to get to! Lisa our Guide met us at our normal backstage entrance and gave us all a head set so we could hear her from afar. The tour lasted probably about 2 hours and was very informative, Lisa was fantastic and very interesting. During the tour we rode Haunted Mansion and she told us how the imagineers really do go in-depth when they’re developing rides. She told us a story about a lady and her pearl necklace, I won’t spoil it for you incase you ever do a tour but just keep an eye on necklaces next time you ride!
The camera crew kept us company during the tour. At one point it was so funny watching these two boys, they kept pretending to drop something the other side of the camera so they had to walk in front of it, little did they know that at that point the camera wasn’t running :rotfl:
Once the tour was over we all received a special pin and then everyone except Doug and I boarded the bus for CSR. Laura had plans for Doug and I, another video :faint: I thought that my videoing was all over but oh no Laura wanted a short video from us, Doug with the Dad angle and me because I’m English.
We did the shoot near Main Street Station and Laura told me roughly what to say, I mucked it up several times and when I finally got it right a train pulled into the Station so it ruined it :lmao: Several takes later they were happy with me and I finally relaxed! Doug then did his shoot, I kept my distance though so I didn’t distract him.
Once he’d finished Doug decided to head to Epcot, where we would be meeting in abut 40 minutes time, I got a lift with Laura in Michaels car back to CSR. I literally had time to run to my room, chuck some trousers/pants on and freshen up before getting back on the bus to Epcot. Today was one packed day :faint:
you must be exhausted by now! Looks like great fun (expect for the photos and videoing!)

Back on the bus at 5.30pm ready for our 6pm dinner at Bistro De Paris. We went in the back way and were soon right by France. World showcase was very busy this evening but thanks to our bright pink jackets we didn’t get lost :rotfl:
I again skipped an appetiser, I just couldn’t eat everything, for entrée I had the lamb and it just melted in my mouth, the food at Bistro was just gorgeous. The waiters were pretty nice too, especially the one who liked my accent ;) :lmao: We all had a lovely meal and again shared lots of laughs, all too soon we were told we had to leave and had no time for dessert.
On my way back from the bathroom I overheard a lady commenting on the Moms Panel and what was it, so I did a quick bit of pimping for the site, it obviously worked as she said she’d definitely visit!!!!
Next stop was VIP seating for the Candlelight Processional, we had our own guide lead us from France to our seats with a nice glowing stick. At one point one of the Moms, probably Jackie, took over and was waving the stick around for us to follow :rotfl:
We had lovely seats, about 4 rows from the front on the right hand side. Having never been at Christmas time this was yet another first for me and it was lovely. The music, the singing, the narration, it was all just magical. I even loved the very loud trumpeters who stood right by us and half deafened us :lmao: A nice touch was a signer, she put so much effort into each and every word she signed and was a pleasure to watch even for those that weren’t hard of hearing :).

http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb54/disneyjo73/WDW%20%20Moms%20Panel/224.jpg
Once the performance was over we were led to our own private viewing area for Illuminations, we also had a dessert buffet, which was gorgeous.

http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb54/disneyjo73/WDW%20%20Moms%20Panel/227.jpg
As part of the dessert buffet we were given special glasses to wear for the fireworks and OMG they are awesome, it turned every little light into a Mickey Head. As each firework was released it looked like 2 MH’s flying into the air and then when it burst it was like hundreds of MH’s filling the sky, absolutely fantastic. It must have been hilarious standing near us as we were literally ooohing and ahhhing at each firework, people near us must have wondered what we were seeing that they couldn’t :lmao: We were allowed to bring them home and you can also use them on your Christmas tree lights :rotfl:
Here are a few photos, it was very hard to capture the actual firework ones though but I think you can get the idea!

http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb54/disneyjo73/WDW%20%20Moms%20Panel/233.jpg
Suddenly with the end of Illuminations we all realised that our training had come to an end, what a perfect way to do it though! Leanne announced that she was not coming back to the hotel with us so lots of hugs and thank-you’s were exchanged and we had one final group photo, although some of the Moms seem to have been cut off!
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb54/disneyjo73/WDW%20%20Moms%20Panel/3112710415_e022330051.jpg
We took our final bus ride back to CSR and again had lots of hugs, we were all leaving at different times tomorrow so we weren’t sure who we’d see again so we just hugged everyone just incase :rotfl:
Some “Moms” headed for the bar and I managed about 5 minutes before the tiredness suddenly hit and I headed to bed.

When I got back to my room I found our final surprise, a plate of cookies and a carafe of milk, they really did think of everything. I was too stuffed to eat any though so I just wrapped them up and put them in my luggage to share with the girls when I got home!
http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb54/disneyjo73/WDW%20%20Moms%20Panel/237.jpg
I had the best nights sleep ever that night, pure exhaustion had finally taken over, that was until 7am when David, my husband, phoned :headache: He had been phoning most mornings at that time as it was 12 noon back in England and I knew I’d always be in my room, but normally I was wide awake and he didn’t wake me up like today :rotfl:
There were no plans for today except that Magical Express was picking me up at about 2pm. Originally I had envisioned myself, and other Moms, hitting a park to get our last few rides in but we all agreed we were just too tired, yep too tired for rides in Disney :faint: What had they done to us? :rotfl:
So after finalising my packing and yes I did manage to pack everything in my 2 cases, even with all the extra goodies we’d been given. (Laura had given us all a pre-paid box to ship home, most Moms sent home their dirty laundry so they could show their children their gifts straight away, I was so relieved I managed to fit it all in as I didn’t want to risk paying excise duty on my dirty laundry :rotfl: ) I took my luggage to bell services and saw Amber and Diane (I think) there so was able to say one last goodbye :) I then headed to the buses to do one final bit of shopping at DTD.
I waited ages for the bus but started chatting to a lovely lady, she was very interested in the Moms Panel and we chatted all the way on the bus, she said she’d look out for my name and ask me some questions, she was very sweet!
I grabbed a few pressies for the girls and had a look at the new make your own T-Shirt store, which looks really great, before heading back to CSR. In the lobby were Heather from the 2008 Panel and Jackie and we chatted a while before they headed out to their ME, I also managed to catch Bri too.
I grabbed a Chicken Caesar Salad for lunch and found a nice comfy sofa overlooking the lake to relax on till my departure time. The bus was near enough full and we had a nice trip to the airport watching the video.
The airport was very uneventful except the plane got delayed by about an hour, I sat at the gate for ages surrounded by English people again when I hear this American voice, it was Doug he had come to find me as he had a later flight, we chatted a while and it was so so lovely of him to do that as I was starting to feel lonely. Thanks Doug you really are a great person  BTW suddenly your accent sounded quite strong :rotfl:
I never sleep on planes but for once I did, I managed about 3 hours before the lady next to me woke me up because she needed the toilet and couldn’t get out :lmao: It was great to get home and I literally slept for the first few days and I didn’t even blame it on jetlag, just pure tiredness :rotfl:
So to sum up, this trip was fantastic in so many ways, we did some truly amazing things that I could never have imagined. The people were all wonderful and I’m not just saying that they truly are all fabulous people. We got to eat in so many wonderful restaurants, viewed the new Pirate rooms and the new American Idol, made 15 new best friends, slept in Cinderella Castle Suite and who can forget a very scary video shoot :rotfl:
I would like to thank Laura, Leanne and all their team for making the trip happen and for choosing me to be on their panel, thank you :grouphug:
And finally as I have no photos of today I’d like to repost my 2 favourites from this trip and say thank you to you all for reading :goodvibes
