Dates:
12/13 - 12/20
Introductions:
Scott (me) - On here I am Scottny. I have always loved Disney. Went every year as a kid.
Then went in 2000 with friends then fast forward to July 2007 and went again with my partner and his family.
For some of them it was there first trip and we had such a great time that we are all planning on doing it again in June 2009.
This is me

Biff - Went to Disney for the first time in July 2007. He said he had a great time and he felt the magic of the place (until we were leaving and a CM gave him a little attitude).
Here is Biff
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/july%20trip/2007-1265.jpg
So in January 2008 I took my younger cousins and while there I was offered a trip back with 40% off. I booked for September.
Now free dining was released so we switched over to that.
September comes and the day before we have to cancel for Biff is nervous of hurricanes in the Caribbean (they never hit) and I was experiencing vertigo since June.
I rebook for December 13 - 20th.
Now here we are one day before.
I printed out our boarding passes and just have to do some last minute things, like laundry and pack. :lmao:

I was there in January too! (well one day of January :rotfl2: 01/31-02/03/08) with my DBFF (who is no longer my DBFF or even my BFF - short story is she doesn't understand my disfunctional family so she said she wanted to left alone for awhile :confused3 but I respect her opinon).
And I'll be there the exact same days as you as well! How about that?!! :woohoo: In 24 hours will be landing (at 11:15 that is), printed my boarding pass this morning and am all packed (except transfer makeup from purse to carry-on bag). I will be solo the first four days then DD (her fiance & baby) will join me on the 17th.
I bet you can hardly wait!! How far in advance did you make your ADRs? I had made several (3 mos ago) when my DS15 was planning to go but then cancelled them all now that he's not going. Only one I have is Coral Reef lunch w/personalized menu & diver for 12/17/08 to surprise my daughter.
Hope you have a grand time and maybe we will pass in the parks one day next week!!
Happy Birthday Biff!!!

So it is the night before and of course I cannot go to sleep. All week I was going to sleep around 3 or 4 a.m. so I tried to go to bed around 1am.
I set the alarm for 4:40 a.m., this came a lot sooner than I expected.
What did I decide to wake up to, well it would be "Yo Ho! Yo Ho! A Pirates Life for Me". Scared me but got me up right away.
Jumped up and took my shower. Biff then got up and we left the apartment around 5:10 a.m. and the car was waiting for us.
The ride to JFK was uneventful. We arrived and got through security with no problems.
Breakfast was at Dunkin' Donuts and I had a coffee cake muffin and an Iced Coffee. Both were excellent.
Biff has coffee and a bowtie, he did not like the bowtie as it was dried out.
We go and sit down by the gate. A few minutes later Biff gets up to go potty as he is walking away I realize his phone call from Mickey is going to be coming in about 2 minutes. I call his cell but it goes straight to voicemail. GRRRR
He comes back and tells me he has stomach pains and made a lot of noise in the bathroom.
I ask if his phone is on and he said no so I said put it on. It was now 6:33 and I figured he missed the call so I go to the bathroom as we are to start boarding in a few minutes. I then realize I forgot my gum so I go to buy a pack and look over and he has his phone to his ear. He is smiling. I go over and he says they just called. I thought he was saying it to make me feel better but they did just call as he told me what he said. He said it was cute.
Now we board

The flight was very smooth and we landed 25 minutes early. :woohoo:
Saw the airport tree.

http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/disney%20xmas%20trip/day%201/IMG_0185.jpg
I text Dan(Fauntleroy) to see if we could say hello quickly and he was on his way to the airport.
We then proceed to the Magical Express line and it was HUGE. It took about a half an hour to get through. I text with Dan one last time and found out he is being dropped off at terminal A so that was not to be.
By the time I left the line it had doubled and was insane.
We got into lane 3 and waited then were told to follow the lovely lady to the bus. We got a Mears bus.
Watched the video and then proceeded to drop off almost everyone at POP.
We moved to the front seat and we were heading over to Coronado Springs....
Up next....
What are our first impressions of the resort?
Do we go to any parks?

So we left off we were heading to CSR. http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/disney%20xmas%20trip%20-%20vinny/SDC10143.jpg
Pulling up to the front entrance
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/disney%20xmas%20trip%20-%20vinny/SDC10145.jpg
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/disney%20xmas%20trip%20-%20vinny/SDC10146.jpg
Quickly we were there. The outside entrance is pretty.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/disney%20xmas%20trip%20-%20vinny/SDC10147.jpg
A little help along the way.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/disney%20xmas%20trip%20-%20vinny/SDC10148.jpg
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/disney%20xmas%20trip%20-%20vinny/SDC10149.jpg
So we move inside and registration is empty.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/disney%20xmas%20trip%20-%20vinny/SDC10150.jpg
I asked for a refurbished room when I made the reservation. The CM shows me the map and had put us in the Ranchos section, I asked if it was refurbished and was told no and then they see my request. I am then told we will be in Casitas 3 but the room is not ready. We will be on the 4th floor with a view of the lake. Told to call later.
We go outside and Biff checks his bag, jacket and my jacket. We then head over to bus stop 1 and were thinking of going to a park. Biff is not feeling good with his nose draining so I ask if he wants to go to Downtown Disney and look around and then head back to the room when it is ready to relax. He loves the idea. This changes within a minute and we decide to hang out at the resort and then go to DTD.
We are hungry so we decide to go inside and eat at Pepper Market.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/disney%20xmas%20trip%20-%20vinny/SDC10151.jpg
It was easy enough to understand how it works.

I had the bourbon chicken with rice and chocolate cake for dessert. It was all very good. :mickey b::mickey b::mickey b:
Biff had the sampler platter with spicy and bourbon chicken. The spicy chicken was really spicy and good. :mickey b::mickey b::mickey b::mickey b:
he said it was excellent.
**I inquired about the tipping**
I talked to 2 cm's and 1 manager about what I heard on the DIS about the tip being included in the dining plan. This is false information I was told. The tip is NOT included in the plan. We tipped.
Next we went to the Rix Cafe to get our souvenir mugs. These are different than the other resorts, they say Coronado Springs.

I liked them a lot better than the Year of Dreams mugs.
So we filled up with root beer and decided to walk around the resort and check it out.
I will stop here....

Love the CSR pics. Way to go with getting a refurbed room :thumbsup2, looking forward to pics of it. I wonder why the tip is not included with DDP at PM?? We ate there in October and the server told us the 10% gratituty is included and also confirmed this when we paid at the cashier :confused3. That stinks if it's not included anymore, but it's a great counter service :goodvibes.

thanks. I made sure to put it on the reservation. I was told some of the CM's were confused and it actually was never included in the plan. So you got some cm's who were not sure I guess. This is why I questioned a few people. We only left $2.00, I mean really all they do is put down your silverware and get you a drink.

The Coronado Springs Resort is so gorgeous :cloud9: Great pictures! The CS mugs are so cute. I know it's harder to cheat that way (;)) but I kind of wish all the resorts had their own themed mugs. It just makes using them so much more fun, especially at home. Disney's all about the theming too, so I'm surprised most of the mugs are still one design.
Looking forward to more! I hope Biff gets well soon. Is he feeling better now?

Nice pictures, Scott. Coronado Springs is very pretty with the lake, landscaping, and architecture.
I sure wish they would return to resort-specific mugs instead of generic for all, but I figure they'll do the new Celebrations themed ones the same way they did the Year of a Million Dreams. Hopefully, with the new ones, they'll at least put some color in them. I never came to love the blue and white ones so much.

actually my title is changing, the surprise fell through. I knew I was too excited but I thought it would happen. I will discuss it now. We went on the DVC tour and were going to buy into Bay Lake Tower. Until we got home and Biff decided it wasn't for us. :confused3 so now I am going to save up the deposit and place it next time I go. I can tell this now.
Room: gorgeous. we asked for the refurbished area and the room was perfect, sort of.
A.c.: I hated the digital ac unit. I knew how to bypass the system but it was really annoying
Refrigerator: the first one never got cold. 10:30 at night they brought up a new one and it worked but it was missing a leg and every time you opened it the thing would wobble.
Housekeeping: it was terrible. we left tips everyday and the garbage can remained full of paper for 4 days. one of my sheets had blood on it.
the sink was never dried off.
Biff made coffee every morning and used the regular coffee, so they him 5 packets of decaf. He was MAD. He called and complained.
Food court:
Cafe Rix we used for refilling the mugs. also for milk and snacks. this was a great little place. they make flatbreads here and I regret not getting one.
Pepper Market is by far the worst counter service. first of all 10% tip for taking you to the table, putting down a napkin with a fork and knife and getting a drink is not worth 10% tip.
I had the omelets most mornings and they were decent.
I will hold off on Biff's final morning there.
Staff: They were friendly and nice except for the lady in the gift shop.
Buses:
these were hit or miss. we were in casitas 3 so the bus stop was behind our building and very easy to get to. bus stop 2.
there were times we waited nearly 45 minutes at MK for a bus. 3 times this happened.
We also waited 30 minutes at the resort for a couple of buses.
So there you have it.

http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/disney%20xmas%20trip/PC124272.jpg

Thank you. the wait is terrible.
Well, I had a little catching-up to do !! I agree with the tipping @ Pepper Mill! Stupid!! I really didn't like it there. I did like the resort itself. It's very pretty! It's nice to take a walk & look around. Your new room was great! Yes....the tip is no longer included with the Dining Plan! I didn't like that either. That's one of the reasons for getting the plan. Sorry to hear that Biff was ill for most of the trip. Hope he managed to have a nice time.
I'm so glad you decided to do a TR here. :goodvibes
You're going back!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2 :yay: :woohoo:
CS should not be a tipping place.
Beautiful resort. Last day I walked around and got more pics.
I think he had a good time.
Oooh! You'll be there during my birthday, Scott! (6/22) And yeah, that IS a huge group!
I will party for you.
Congrats on booking a new trip! Going with 20 fmaily and friends will be amazing!
it should be interesting to say the least. it could be 2 more possible 5 more. still waiting to hear form people.
Oh my gosh! I think I'll be there sometime during those days!
if you are let me know we can say hello to each other.

So we make our way to the bus stop for the Poly to go to dinner at Kona. I had made reservations for 8pm originally but changed them to an earlier time in order to see the fireworks so we made it for 6:45pm.
We got there around 6:05 and check in.
As I am standing there I see a guy walk by with a Goofy sweatshirt on that I have but I think the guy looks familiar. Then I see a woman go by who looks familiar.
A few minutes later they come back over our way and stop next to us. I am looking at her and then she sees me and I think she said something first to me.
Anyway, it was Punkin413 (Dawn) from the disboards and her hubby Ray. They were there with friends Anna, Chris and there son Luke. (Here is a link to her report CLICK HERE (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2035757)) It is a great read.
We chatted a bit about there trip (I will leave that to her to tell you, never divulge someone else's trip) and then they were called. We said our goodbyes and then 1 minute later we were called.
here is a pic of Dawn and I.

***Dinner review***
Appetizers - we both had the crab cakes
Entrees - we both had the Teriyake Steak
Desserts - I had the White Chocolate Cheesecake
Biff had the Banana Chocolate Cream Brulee
My review -- I thought it was good. The menu seemed different. The steak did have 2 bites that I just could not eat and had to spit out.
I also had a
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/disney%20xmas%20trip/PC124355.jpg
I still enjoyed the place.
Biff's review (in his words) - Well we went to Kona for Dinner talk about over rated Our waitress was one of the most annoying people totally useless but more on that later.
I ordered the Steak something which couldn't be eaten. The steak was cooked to perfection, I ordered it rare. thats where the excellent review stops. I was unable to eat the steak, started to saw through the grizzle never had a steak quite like that before 4 pieces & not one which was a possiblility to try to eat. 20 min into the dinner the waitress showed up to ask how our food was so I said horrific it was and she smiled I don't think she had ever heard the word before so she smiled as if I was a friend who was putting her on. I am neither a friend of hers nor was I fooling around. I tend to take my food seriously. So I tried again & said the steak couldn't be eaten so she said she was sorry no offer to get me something else. I didn't want to create a scene so I suffered in silence (will never make that mistake again) was surprised when the Bill came & I was charged for the grizzle steak.
Scott liked the Butter all well & good but this place serves it on white bread (sort of like an over sized Hamburger Roll) I love Bread & think an assortment of breads would be the way to go include some specialty breads maybe a nut bread.
Would I recommend Kona, sorry to say not worth the time or your money.
See what I put up with on a daily basis. :haha:
So we left our dinner and I said goodbye to Dawn and her party and I think I walked into a wheelchair then.
Then we went to the monorail. here is a tree on the way.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/disney%20xmas%20trip/PC124356.jpg
So we get over to MK
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/disney%20xmas%20trip/PC124357.jpg
A bus came fairly quickly and had 2 wheelchairs getting off, they got off no problem but then 2 had to get on and something happened to the lift that it would not lift them. it just worked so I have no idea what happened. A supervisor came to see and told him to load and go. Another bus came as soon as we pulled out.
We made it back to CSR and walked over to Casitas 3. This was the fountain behind our building.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/disney%20xmas%20trip/PC124360.jpg
Biff could not get the lay of the land the entire trip and kept going the wrong way and getting lost if I was not there.
Now we noticed the ac is not working so great and Biff checked the fridge and it was not cold so he called down. Someone came very quickly and checked the fridge and decide dit was broken and then did the bypass for the ac.
Now he was with housekeeping so after him came the maintenance man for the AC but I told him it was working. So he left.
Now the guy is back with a new fridge for us. Minus a leg. But it got cold and that was the only thing important.
Then he left and 2 minutes later the ac stopped. we called down for the guy again (he never came back).
We played with it and got it to work. I do not like those new ac's.
Biff fell asleep and I went to the store for a notebook to write notes down. I asked a CM and she told me they only had Disney books and I would pay Disney prices.
I guess she thought I was part of a convention. Kind of put a damper on my mood. But not for long. Really they should not say things like that if they don't know.
Went back to room and wrote down notes, watched Stacy one time through and set up a wake up call.
With that day 1 ended.
Up next....a trip around the track and a space visit.

That really is a beautiful resort. The fountains, the lake, the architecture, the landscaping - all of it.
That's cool that you happened to run into Dawn and Ray!

Fun mini-DIS meet! Dawn's TRs are always so much fun!
Sorry to hear that Biff didn't enjoy his meal at Kona. We liked it when we went in June (on your recommendation ;) ). Maybe he should have had a Lapu Lapu, too, to take the edge off.
That fountain is beautiful! We never made it over to the Casitas section to explore -- we were staying on the other side of El Centro in the Cabanas.

sorry that biff didn't like kona. we usually love it. i'll get to our review later in my TR, but maybe you guys just got a couple of bad pieces of steak? ray and chris got the strips too and they liked them. and ray is usually picky about his steak. i can't believe the server didn't get a manager or try to get biff something else!
i didn't see you run into a wheelchair after you said bye to us. so if you did it nearby you covered yourself well! :rotfl:

Oh no, sorry that Biff didn't like his steak. It sucks when you pay so much for food and then it just isn't good. I'm sure it was a one-time thing, though. We went to Kona for lunch back in 2006 and loved it! I love that picture of the fountain, too!

Love your TR so far. I debated going to CSR next year and the pictures of it are really nice. I decided to go to CBR instead, checking it out for a huge family trip in a few years. Was sorry to hear about Dinner at Kona. That's one of the restaurants we've never tried and don't know if I want to now. DH and I are steak eaters and a tough steak is not fun. Biff should have complained more. Looking forward to reading more of the TR.

I can understand what Biff means about Kona. Our meal there was just alright. It wasn't horrific by any means but by the way people go on about it here, I was expecting something unique.
I thought the service was a little odd as well. Before we even sat down, our server took us on a tour of these plastic desserts. She didn't tell us what we were doing. It felt pretty stupid.
I chalked my perspective up to having eaten at Vic & Al's Chef's Table the night before. After that, nothing would probably satisfy and we were likely still full. I will have to give it another try in the future. I'm not surprised though, that Biff and others haven't liked it there.

Stitch woke me at 7:30. Biff made coffee while I shaved and showered. Biff then goes to Rix Cafe and gets muffins and juice for us. I had a banana nut muffin and is was really good.
My notes say "what a day". It was an Epcot day. Biff's first time at Epcot.
We got to the bus stop at 9:20 then we went to the first bus stop in the front and this is when it got bad. Kind of.
A German or Dutch family got on the bus, 9 of them in total. The father had the biggest double stroller I have ever seen. Then the older woman had a wheelchair. One of the cm's drove the wheelchair on for her. The stroller took up so much space they finally put it on the back seat.
Now it is 15 minutes after we had pulled into bus stop 1.
Finally we are ready to move so this larger woman decides to sit next to Biff on the 2 person seat. I look at him and his eyes bulge out like is she crazy. It was actually funny. I guess she is used to people giving up the seat because she takes up more than her share, well not when Biff is there. (There were plenty of other seats for her to sit on, I think she just wanted this seat) After 2 minutes she realizes he is not getting up and she does and is not happy. Complaining in whatever language they speak. The others are telling her stuff, finally one of the kids gets up from the single seat and she sat there.
I could not believe how upset she got because he would not give up his seat for her when there were plenty of others seats.
So we arrive at Epcot.

wow....i can't believe that woman on the bus. i don't want to sound mean but that's probably part of the reason she was the size she was - people give up their seats to her too often! i don't always think that's the case when people are that size but sometimes it really is due to laziness. anyway, glad biff didn't move!

Okay, I'm all caught up now! That's so great that you met Dawn! Lucky! I'm sorry the steak wasn't very good. I hate when you're looking forward to eating somewhere and then it's no good and you get disappointed!
I'm glad you walked on TT and MS! And I'm glad TT didn't break down for you! You'll hear all about that on my Epcot day!
I've always enjoyed Living with the Land. And that's so cool you saw workers there! I've never seen that before.

Ok so now we are heading over to the Seas for our lunch. our lunch was for 11:45 but we got there at 11:35 and they took us right away. http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/disney%20xmas%20trip/day%202/PC134432.jpg

He loved it and thought it was very nice.
They also gave him a pin for his birthday.
What we ate:
Me:
App: Lobster soup
Entree: Chicken
Dessert: Bailey & Jack Daniels Mousse
Biff:
App: Lobster soup
Entree: Mahi
Dessert: Nothing
**Reviews**
Scott - I loved this place. The soup was delicious and so was the chicken. I felt funny eating fish with them swimming around me. :haha:
The atmosphere was nice. Sitting next to the tank was really nice, no kids running up, all the parents that brought there kids up were very respectful of the people sitting there eating.
I would definitely return.
Biff - (his reviews have gotten short and brief)
lobster soup - fantastic best soup I ever had
mahi -excellent
Server was very good at her job made the meal fun. she checked back at the table to make sure you were not wanting for anything.
(recommend highly)
Now I had ordered a diver. The waitress told Biff to eat very slowly. She later told me the divers don't come in till 12:30 and she wished reservations would tell people that (now it doesn't matter as they have stopped doing it).
So needless to say we did not see the diver.
We left there at 1pm.
Still no diver and it was a fantastic meal and will recommend it for our June trip to the group.
Here is the dessert. They put the happy birthday on it because Biff did not order any dessert.

Ok as we are waiting in line a CM asked for a party of 2, i was about to tell Biff to be quiet but he said here before I could. I knew we were going to be in the 3rd row and if we waited we would have had first row. I was not happy. Told I am the Disney expert not him so please keep mouth closed.
I did not like row 3. I will ask for row 1 every time I go on. They also really need to fix the screen, big black lines all over it.
It was nice to ride it though.
Biff liked it.

Sure wish we had crossed paths since we were down there the same time as you! Our park days were just never the same as yours :(
I got the personalized menu and diver for my daughter, fiance and grandson (age 1) for our lunch at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday 12/18 and she was completely surprised! They put the menu in front of my GS and I had to pick it up and hand it to my daughter to see if she wanted something to order off his menu. She didn't catch on at first, just looked on the right side where the food was listed and not the left side where his pics were. Her fiance said, Hey isn't that Mason?!! and she finally caught on :lmao: Then the diver came up to the window when we were about 3/4's of the way into our meal and held up the sign. She saw him coming and asked why there were divers? I said sometimes they come to clean the glass and maybe she would like to take a pic. It was while she was taking the picture that she caught on to the sign. She was overwhelmed - they both were teary eyed before the meal ended. It was wonderful! I'm sorry your diver didn't show :( Your menu was fantastic! What a great job of putting the pictures together :)
I explained to my DD that they weren't doing this in 2009 and she was so grateful. We weren't on the DDP so the meal was pretty expensive but so worth it. The food was delicious (which I was surprised at compared to all the reviews on here) and it was the highlight of our trip!

Sorry you didn't get Row 1 on Soarin'. I love Soarin' so much that I'll take any row any time, but it really is better on the first row, no doubt.
And as for whether or not you find Nemo...
if you got on the ride and didn't jump out of the clamshell before it ended,
I'm going to guess yes, you did find Nemo,
and Mr. Ray and the starfish and Dory and Marlin and all the other sea creatures happily sang about it! :)

thank you for reading.
I like short and to the point.
I would say January. The weather was perfect (really cold one night) and the crowds were great.
July was ok but HOT and the Brazilian tour groups were everywhere, including the trip down on the plane.
October was great, a little warm but crowd wise was nice
December was nice to see the decorations but it was so much busier than I expected and doubt I will go again around the holidays.
So January wins.

That menu from the Coral Reef is so nice! I'm glad you and Biff enjoyed your meal there. I'm always afraid to go because of the reviews, but we just may try it next time. Maybe... Great pictures from The Living Seas. That picture of the stingray's too cute!

I have heard mixed reviews but we were on the plan so if it was not good no big deal, at least I tried. Lucky for us it turned out to be great.

LOVE the new rooms at CSR. We might have to stay here in August if they have them all refurbed by then. I like how there's an actual sliding door between the bathroom and bedroom. I love that resort. The grounds are wonderful. The pool and play area are nice. My only thing ~ those lurking thieves that steal one's panties! :scared1: Those I can do without. We went by here for dinner one night, it was pretty good, but the place was dead. I think there were two other tables in the whole place! Why were the boats closed? I saw boats going at CBR and all around the MK resorts? Weird. Especially since the weather was so nice.
I totally agree...Goofy's should read Molasses "slow as". We had a lot of snacks left over so we brought home a huge bag full of boxed pretzels and cookies to hand out in our Christmas baskets. The neighbors loved them. I'm sure they caused me to gain a good 5 pounds too.
I am loving your trip report so far. Biff sounds like he'd be a trip to go to WDW with. :lmao: Good for him for keeping his seat! Maybe she caught his cold too. And the menus are Coral Reef were awesome! I liked how you included the ride pictures! Very cool.

I think because it is not a Disney owned resort, like I found out by the cm. Maybe whoever owns it decides to close them for the season. Not really sure.

Thank you for visiting my "home and native land". We have yet to explore all of the Canada pavillion as we are always looking at the others. This time we are eating at Le Cellier and will take the time to look around. Your photos make it look truly enticing. :goodvibes
Scott, why do you like leaving us in suspense like you do? Now I will be wondering all the time what you and Biff will be doing next! ;)
Thank you for letting us in on your vacation. For the most part, except for a few upsets, it looks like you are both having a great time.
Remmy
PS-Do they have a water fountain near by or sell water for after your around the world Coke taste testing?
thanks.
it was really pretty to look at and the movie was so much better than I was expecting, just beautiful.
because I write these on Enchanted first but in my head I remember the photo post here is 25 so I just stop when I get close.
Thanks for reading. it was a great vacation, even he says so and he was sick the entire time.
haha Get biff, i love it! i knew about the Beverly THANK GOD!!:lmao: Sorry you missed the fountain:( what was the circle thing???
I did it in October during Ip-Dip fest and it was ok then very bad.
circle vision?? that is how they show the movie in Canada. It is in a 360 degree screen. really nice.
DH and I got to see the new O Canada in August and I have to say i was very proud of my countrymen and women. It was great!
Grey Goose Slushy you say?????? My NEW best friend thanks to the DIS. I can almost taste one now...
it certainly was, they did you all proud.
Let me tell you, the Dis might know about it but so does everyone else in the world. Those lines were long.
OMG I AM SO JEALOUS OF THOSE ROOMS!!!!! We stayed at CSR in February and thought the rooms were nice except those hideous bedspreads but WOW they look so much nicer now! Makes me rethink POR for April!
they were nice. if you rethink make sure to put down a refurbished room on the ressie. We are doing POR again in June, I am looking forward to it.
OMG....those pics of Biff are priceless! :rotfl: Beverly will get them everytime!!:lmao: Don't you just love that Christmas tree in Epcot? :goodvibes Did you get to see any of the other Storytellers? I love to listen to them.
yes she will. :lmao:
the tree was gorgeous.
no jumping ahead.
Hey!! I'm late, but I have a medical excuse...rotary cuff surgery with 3 new pins in my right shoulder. I am loving the report and I do need to be enchanted!;)
hope your doing better since the surgery.
thanks.
then come on over when you feel up to it.
You did good capturing his faces while trying the most famous Beverly.

We left the UK and proceeded to walk to France. We got there and we were early for our reservation. I looked at the storyteller set up.

Well we had the time and the show was starting in a few minutes so we went to the France movie "Impressions de France".
Ok again I was really impressed with this movie. Not as good as the Canadian movie but still definitely seeing.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/disney%20xmas%20trip/day%202/PC134639.jpg
It was still too early to check in so what should I do. Oh yeah.
http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g134/scottny/disney%20xmas%20trip/day%202/PC134640.jpg
oh it was liquid heaven. I love them. I downed it, Biff was very surprised, then called me a lush.
now it started to drizzle so Biff checked us in and then we waited under the awning.

I am going to do my review and then I will get Biff's in the morning.
App: a la Flame Alsacienne - Alsace specialty. Flatbread baked with cream fraiche, onion and bacon
Ent: Noix de Saint Jacques et gambas sautees Flan d'epinards, sauce a l'oseille - Sauteed scallops and black tiger shirmp served with lemon butter, vegetable and fresh herb sauce, black pearl rice
Des: Crepe a la pomme et cannelle, glace vanille, caramel jus de pommes - Crepes filled with cinnamon, apple, vanilla ice cream and apple caramel sauce
I thought it was delicious. The flat bread was incredible. When it first came out I was hesitant but WOW. incredible.
The entree was very good. Not much shrimp and scallops but still really good.
The dessert was very good also.
Now did I try escargot. Yes I did and surprisingly I liked it.
I also had a beverage but do not remember which one I had. it was good I know that.
I am going to stop here, I want Biff to post his review and I thought I was almost done with this night but I have lots of pics of the tree and the archway then a surprise I found out at the resort.
Up next....

Sorry for the pic overload there. I really loved this place. So did Biff. he took his time looking at everything.
After this we went in and saw the movie. This was good also.
Will stop here.
Up next...
My first time on a ride and I have the pic to prove it. :D

Love all the pictures from One Man's Dream. I think everyone should go through there, look at everything, and see the movie. If it wasn't for Walt, we wouldn't be able to got to the "Happiest Place on Earth".

Great pics of One Man's Dream! Isn't it amazing in there? It's crazy to think how one man was able to dream up something so amazing. It's awe-inspiring. I actually have the movie at the end of the attraction on DVD. I think you can find it on Amazon; it's so interesting!

So we ventured over to Rock n Roller Coaster. Biff asked if looped, I could not lie and said yes. He said no way.
So I stood there and pondered the idea. Single rider was 5 minutes. Well what did I decide? Go down and see if there is a pic involved.

I walked on. I had to wait a few minutes but then was let in. I like the queue of this ride. very cool.
I was put into the last car with 3 friends. Can I say that launch, holy crap. It was fantastic. I had no idea the loop comes so soon after the launch.
The rest of the ride I thought it went slower and the corkscrews were worse than the loop.
I LOVED IT!!!!
I cannot wait to ride it again in June.
Next was TOT and Biff said no. the wait was 30 minutes so I decided not to do it.
I will stop here.
