Question about vacation home rental and timing

We have often rented vacation homes (though never for going to WDW) and the rule has always been that the rental was from Saturday to Saturday. This timeframe never seems to work for us when going to Orlando - we often fly during the week. Has anyone come across rentals that do not necessarily go from Saturday to Saturday, or will rent for more than 1 week but less than 2?

You can rent homes from 1 or 2 nights on anyday you wish. You just need to look around a bit more !!
About 10 years ago most homes were rented on a Saturday - Saturday basis as there were less of them. Most of the homes in those days were owned by British people and because of flights this was the way things were arranged. You may still encounter these antiquated owners but in this day and age, your vacation is when you want it !!

For once I actually agree with FLeisure.

You should be able to and can rent whenever you want - availability permitting, of course.
Not many owners or man. ***. will turn down, say, a 10 day booking.

Families First are a booking agency. They have no homes of their own.

I had quite a time finding a place to book back in January for just 4 days. Some people flat out refused or demanded the Saturday to Saturday dates.

Booking agency, owner or management company, check their policies and let them know ahead of time your criteria. Some people are very willing to work with you.

I'm a villa owner and we take bookings from and to any day of the week and for any duration.

We appreciate that its not always possible to get reasonably priced weekend flights or you may need to fit your holidays around existing arrangements.

Most private villa owners that I know are very flexible.
