That's a great interview. I think it's an indication that marriage equality is a major issue for all people, gay, straight and other. Kudos to John Stewart and to his young audience. I sincerely believe that when the youth of today take the leadership positions in this country, we are going to make amazing strides. I wouldn't be surprised if within the next few decades we have the first openly gay Governors, Senators, Supreme Court Justices, and, dare I say it, President of the United States.

I think for so many American's that are opposed, they are confussing our CIVIL rights, with religion....and they are NOT the same. When we start to see this as CIVIL RIGHTS, then things will change. I'm more hopeful now, than ever!:grouphug:

I finally had a chance to watch this last night. My jaw absolutely dropped, I mean he Stewart really really punched it hard to Huckabee. Huckabee seemed to backpedal a bit and boy when the whole choice thing was brought up, that killed me! And of course as Stewart pointed out, if the "people" still had their way women would be at home cooking and black people would be segregated. The reality is it was the courts, not the people, who have moved our country forward on civil rights issues.

"Oy" is right. Gotta love Jon Stewart - he uses humor and intelligence to cut through all the garbage. I did think my head was going to explode when Huckabee started to bring up anatomy. Yup, I'm sure all the straight folks in the world only 'do it' one way and only for the purpose of producing kids. :sad2:
