Welcome to our trip report! This is our 3rd time going to WDW in 2 years. Yes, we are crazy, or that is what our friends and family tell us. I worked as a castmember in 1997, and hadn't been back since. In 2007, my DH told me he wanted a relaxing vacation, so I suggested WDW. :lmao: To my surprise, he said yes. I found the Disboards, and the rest is history.
We did not plan on going back to WDW so soon. When we left in May, I had the major Disney blues because we honestly didn't know when we would be back. I was around 20 weeks pregnant during that trip, so we kept calling that our last trip as a family of 3.
About 3 weeks before my due date in late August, we got an elusive e-mail code. Free Dining on a 4 night, 5 day stay at a value resort. I couldn't believe it. Of all times! I didn't even mention it to my DH because I figured he wouldn't go for it. So...later that afternoon he forwarded me the same code. It seems he had gotten it in his e-mail as well. He said we should just go for it. We were going to be up all night anyway, we may as well be up all night at WDW! So I called and booked it!
We decided to stay at Pop. We had never stayed there, or any value, so I was a little nervous. I was also so nervous about ADRs! I figured we would NEVER get in to the restaurants that we wanted. So I sat down and made a list of restaurants.
When planning the meals, I only had two things I was looking for: loud and characters. You see, we had made the mistake of eating at quiet restaurants. When we ate at LeCellier, the food was wonderful, but trying to keep DD quiet was not. So I made a long list and told DH he couldn't be picky this time because we most likely would not get our first choice. I called later that day and got all my ADRs! I didn't even have to alter a time that I wanted. I was so excited!:yay:
So, all we had to do now was plan our days, have the baby (we didn't know if it was going to be a boy or a girl), and hope that this one didn't have colic!
Don't you want to know what happens? Well, read the next post to find out. ;)

Before we move on, let me introduce you to the cast members.
Drea (your hostess):

I'm the one on the left. This is from our trip in May when I was pregnant. I am a lover of all things Disney. I worked in MK in 1997 as a cast member in the County Bounty and the dreaded cart. It was a wonderful summer, and I hated going back up north for the winter. I'm a professional Mommy who likes to scrapbook, take pictures of my kids, and troll the disboards.
Rob, DH:
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/IMG_1176.jpg
This is him trying the Beverly on our first trip together in October of 2007. He went to Disney once as a child and still calls Magic Kingdom, WDW. I think he does it to annoy me, but whatever. I know how to annoy him too. ;)
He has fallen in love with WDW and enjoys going on our trips. They aren't relaxing AT ALL, but we have a fun time. He works hard and enjoys this time with his family.
Princess A, DD:
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day1038.jpg
She's a crazy 2 1/2 year old. She's always been crazy, since birth. She is really a good girl who loves to play and help her Momma.
Baby B, DS:
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day1036.jpg
Perhaps the cutest baby boy that has ever existed! He was born on his due date and started sleeping through the night at around 6 weeks. Loves to watch his big sister run around the house and cuddle with his Momma.
So...Baby B arrived right on time, the little Virgo that he is, on his due date in September. I was hoping that he would hold out for 2 more days so we could share a birthday, but he had to be right on time. ;) He was a great baby right from day one. We are very lucky, we know. Princess A had colic for the first 3 months of her life, so we don't take anything for granted!
The two months from his birth to our trip flew by in the blink of an eye. We heard we were crazy more times than I can count, but we were all so freakin' excited!!
I made this to help us keep track of the time before our trip:

http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/Blake8Weeks003.jpg
I was on the Disboards more than I should have been at this time, but I had a trip to plan! We were packed and ready to go!!
Coming up next: Day 1...A king size bed for a family of 4?

Here's a helpful hint to start this installment. Diapers take up a lot of room in your luggage!
When I first started packing I thought we could get away with one large suitcase, one small, and one carry-on. As Princess A. would say "Not so fast!" After packing and re-packing many times, we finally ended up with two large and one carry-on, a diaperbag, and Princess A. suitcase/carry-on. That my friend, is a lot of luggage. Thank goodness we were using ME and we didn't have to get it off the luggage carroussel. ANYWAY....
Our flight was scheduled for 8:00 a.m. sharp! I woke up at 4:30, Rob shortly after and we were all four out of the house by 5:45. After a short drive to the airport we were in the new terminal by 6:00. There was no line at Southwest, so we quickly checked our bags and headed to security.
I don't know why I am always the lucky one that gets Mr. Ants-in-his-Pants behind me, but I do. Listen Mister, I'm traveling with two small children and a husband, don't stand right behind me sighing. Pick a different line. I promised myself that I wouldn't stress. I'd take my time, and remain calm. I'm proud to say that I did remain calm and take my time. Mr. Ants, I can't say the same about him. I thought he was going to run down Baby B.'s stroller trying to his things on the other side.
So we made it through and were heading to Mickey Donalds for some breakfast. Is it bad that Princess knows Mickey Donalds? Oh well. I'm not worried about it. Here she is with her suitcase.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day1005.jpg
When we got to Mickey's, I got the order from Rob and went to stand in line while he tried to keep Princess under control. As I got to the counter, I noticed a lot of commotion. I look down and see a worker laying on the floor! She had passed out and it was business as usual in Mickey's. I ask the cashier if the woman is okay and she says "Yeah, she just passed out." *cough* What? I asked if they were still open and she gave me a look like I was crazy, of course they were still open. So, I order my food, all the while looking at this woman who is passed out on the floor! I get my food, still on the floor. After half of my Bacon, Egg, and Cheese biscuit is gone, the Manager asks if anyone has called 911 about the woman. :scared1: I'm not even joking. She had been passed out for who knows how long on the floor of Mickey's and no one thought to call?! We finish our breakfast and EMS arrives. It has been a good 1/2 hour. Poor woman!
We head to our gate, and get our gate check tags and a lapchild ticket for Baby B.
Baby B. chillin' at the gate.

http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day1011.jpg
Who knew climbing in and out of chairs could be so much fun!
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day1009.jpg
We board the flight and are in the air by 8:05! The flight was smooth and we had no troubles. We land and head downstairs to find ME. After a little detour, we find the ME counter. Holy Line Batman! I should have taken a picture. I was shocked. This was the "slow" time of year, right? I immediately start to panic. Are the parks going to be crowded? How did we get all of our ADRs if it is going to be crowded. I get brought back to Earth when Princess starts running around saying she wants to hug Mickey Mouse. :cloud9:
Rob watches the kids and I go stand in line. The line moves a lot faster than I thought. I think I stood in line for about 1/2 hour. We get our tickets stamped and head over to stand in line. We walk up and find the line empty. Rob thinks this is great, no line. I know otherwise. The bus had just left. So, as I'm thinking about how we are going to keep Princess occupied for another 1/2 hour a Castmember comes over and tells us to "hurry because the bus is getting ready to leave." We run and make it on the bus!
After a short trip we arrive at Pop.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day21001.jpg
We walk in and the music is so freakin' loud! I had to shout to Rob to take the kids to watch TV while I go check-in. There are only 2 people in front of me so I make it up there and check-in goes smoothly. Our room is ready, so we get our Key to the World and head to the 70's building 10.

http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/099.jpg
On the walk over we decide to take a nap and head to Epcot after for dinner. Tired, we open the door to find...a room with a King size bed.:confused3
I call the front desk to let them know and they seem confused as well. Why wouldn't we want a king size bed. We are two adults traveling alone...umm...no we are two adults traveling with two small chidren. So, Rob heads down to the front desk and we chill in the room. If anyone finds a water bottle in their room, it's ours. :rolleyes1

He comes back and we head down the hall to our new room. We all lay down and fall asleep. I set the alarm ahead of time. So, we got up around 3:30, freshed up, and headed to the bus. We had a 5:45 date with Mickey at Garden Grill.
We usually rent a car. I really missed our rental car. The buses were fine. We only had a long wait twice, but I missed the freedom of the car. We didn't miss carrying around our carseats, but I'll make that sacrafice for a rental car next time.
Here we are on our way to see the "big ball".

An artsy shot.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day1023.jpg
As we are walking in, I remember that we didn't change Princess after her nap. In our rush to catch the bus, I had forgotten. We stop at the restrooms and I realize that I had 2 diapers for her. :scared1: I DID NOT want to buy diapers! I had packed a ton, so all I could hope for was that our luggage would be in the room when we got back. Fingers crossed.
We make it over to the Living with the Land Pavilion and get our buzzer. We have a short 10 minute wait and head to our table. This is our first time at Garden Grill. It met both of my requirements, characters and loud. The past two trips Princess has not been to hot on the characters. She says she can't wait, she gets excited, then we get this face.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day1039.jpg
We reassure her that she said she wants to give Mickey a hug. To which she hides her face in her napkin. :sad2: Oh well, we'll see how Baby B. does. The first guy to come to our table, you may recognize him.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day1028.jpg
Princess wants nothing to do with him. But Baby B, he is lovin' it!
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day1029.jpg
Then this guy stops by...again Princess hides in her napkin, but Baby B is all about it!

http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day1030.jpg
Our dinner arrives next. No food porn. I forgot, sorry!
As we are eating Pwoto stops. Princess loves her some Pwoto. But again, hides in her napkin. Baby B, havin' the time of his life.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day1044.jpg
After a visit from this guy, we get our dessert. It's okay. Not the best. The dinner was great! Loved it. They need a new dessert though!
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day1040.jpg
We leave there and go to ride Living with the Land. I'm sure you are going to be shocked to hear this, but there was no line. I know, we were so lucky! :)
At this point, Princess has had enough. She's melting down, and fast. We go to ride her favorite ride, Nemo. She loves Nemo.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day1061.jpg
It puts her in a better mood and we stay for Turtle Talk. She loved it. When we leave, it is dark. We are all tired, with full bellies, so we decide to head back to Pop.
Here is a picture of the tree. It was so pretty!
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day1066.jpg
And of course, this:
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day1072.jpg
Right after I took this pic, I felt a raindrop. Before we took 10 steps it was a downpour! I mean, it came out of nowhere! We ran to get some cover and get our ponchos out. We were going to wait for it to slow down, but if you have ever had a tired 2 year old, you know that waiting isn't always an option. We run to the bus and luckily there is one there waiting.
We make it to our room and....
Chapter 2: Is the luggage there? Are we going to run out of diapers?

How was your trip? Isn't it crazy the amount of diapers we have to pack?!

Let's see, where did I leave off...oh yeah...
We make it back to the room and open the door to find no luggage! We have one diaper left for Princess and 2 left for Baby B. If you have ever been around a breastfed baby, you know 2 diapers aren't going to last that long.
I call down to the luggage service and they say they have our bags and they will be right up. I'm so happy. About 10 minutes later our luggage arrives and we get ready for bed. Not surprisingly we all fall asleep really quick.
Fast forward to 5:30 a.m.
"Momma, time to get up yet?" Yes, that's right. Our 2 year old was up before our 2 month old! At home, she is never up before 8. Sometimes I have to wake her up at 8:30. Not today. As hard as I tried, I couldn't get her to go back to sleep. So, by 7:00 we were all up and showered. Rob went down to get breakfast (we really missed having a mini-fridge) and I stayed back with the kids.
He returned and reported that the food court was empty and it was really humid outside. A quick check of the weather showed that we were in for another rainy day.
We were out of the room by 8:30 and at the bus stop. Princess already looked tired, so I knew this could be a rocky morning. We arrived quickly and entered my happy place, the Magic Kingdom.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day2001.jpg
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day2004.jpg

http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day2007.jpg
As you can see from the pictures, the sky was scary. It looked like it could downpour at any minute. Our plan for the morning was to ride the rides in Fantasyland, head over to Tomorrowland and ride some rides, finish the morning with a ride on Goofy's Barnstormer and head back to Pop for lunch and a nap.
So we walked to the back, took a left here,
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day2008.jpg
and headed to Dumbo. Dumbo is always our first stop on the first day in Magic Kingdom. With a 2 year old, lines are not our friends. On this day, the park was not crowded at all. The wait sign said 10 minutes, it was more like 5 though. While we were waiting we saw Princess do this:
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day2011.jpg
This is never good. When the thumb comes out, so does the bad mood. :)
Baby B. was content, as always.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day2010.jpg
Almost our turn!

A happy Princess on one of her favorite rides.

http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day2016.jpg
I was starting to get worried about the weather. We had only brought the single stroller, so I was worried about Princess walking in her poncho in the rain.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day2019.jpg
After Dumbo we decided to head over to Pooh. Princess loves Darby, I mean she LOVES her. While we were waiting in line she said "I see Darby in dere." I told her I didn't think Darby was in there, but I didn't convince her. While waiting, this happened.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day2023.jpg
We knew we were in a time crunch, so we decided this was our last ride in Fantasyland and we were headed over to Tomorrowland.
Here we are on the ride.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day2026.jpg
When the doors open at the end, Princess was very confused. "Where Darby? Mama, where Darby?" She was very upset that there was no Darby. I told her to take it up with Mickey Mouse.
As we were walking to Tomorrowland, she spotted the Tea Cups and wanted to ride. Since Rob isn't a big fan of spinning rides, that meant it was just the girls. We enjoyed ourselves.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day2031.jpg

http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day2036.jpg
After the ride, Baby B. was hungry, so Rob and Princess went to ride this,
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day2037.jpg,
and Baby B and I went to find a cozy spot in the shade. While I was nursing him, Push the talking trashcan came out for a spin. It was fun to watch all the kids.
Rob and Princess were only gone maybe 15 minutes, so they headed over to talk to Push so Baby B could finish eating. Princess was very confused and kept trying to push Push away.
After Baby B was done, we headed to Auntie Gravity's Galactic Goodies
for a smoothie. They are so good! I highly recommend getting one. Yum! Princess was in a better mood after her smoothie, so we decided to sit and finish our smoothie and then ride Buzz.
After a quick bathroom break/diaper change, we were on to Buzz. I'm happy to report I beat Rob! I couldn't believe it. I can't remember my score, but we were both shocked I had won. :)
We knew we were playing with fire, but we decided to go to Toon Town.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day2038.jpg
We were there to ride one ride: Goofy's Barnstormer. Princess loves this ride! She rode it back in May and talked about it for weeks. She rode with Rob, then I rode with her. She wanted to ride again, but she got distracted by Minnie's house. She walked through with Rob and Baby B. and I had another nursing session. :)
As we were walking out of Toon Town, she had a meltdown. We expected it and put her in the stroller to make a quick exit. We were afraid she would fall asleep on the bus, so we stopped at Casey's for lunch. It was okay. I probably wouldn't eat there again, but it was fine for a quick lunch.
As we were walking out after lunch, I couldn't believe how pretty Main Street was with all the Christmas Decorations. I thought it was pretty during the fall around Halloween, but this was wonderful! A must see, for sure.
We waited for about 10 minutes for a bus and headed back to Pop. Princess did fall asleep on the bus, and slept all the way back to the room. When we got back to the room, she was still passed out so we all got to enjoy a nice nap before our evening in Magic Kingdom.
Will it rain out Spectro Magic? Tune in to find out!

great TR! I saw you heading about being there w/ a baby and had to read...we will be heading down in march and DS will be 12 months. We were going to be going next week, but thought it might be better when he can walk and weather is warm enough for swimming. It worked out b/c of the 4/3 deal and new DCL kids free deal. 2 in 1 vacation for us! Can't wait to read more!!!

We took our first trip as a family when DD was 17 months old and it was so much fun!! She could still nap in a stroller, so most of her naps were in the stroller. We also planned a "down" day where we stayed at the resort and a morning off and a night off. We ended up not needing the morning off though. You are going to have so much fun!!!

After we all got up from our nice nap, we freshed up and headed to the bus stop. We really never had a long wait at the bus stop on the way to the parks, which was nice.
When you are traveling with two kids under the age of 3, you have a lot of stuff with you. I carried a backpack diaperbag, and I had a bag under the stroller with an extra set of clothes, extra diapers and wipes, an extra "ga" (Princess' comfort item), ponchos, sunscreen, and all that extra little stuff. Looking back, I wish I would have brought another backpack instead of a bag. I always felt like something was falling out of the bag (because it is a rush to get on and off the bus), then DH could have just put the backpack on and we could have both had 2 free hands to help with the kids.
Here are some pics of us in line.

http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day21009.jpg
Rob and I looked at each other and knew we were in trouble. When the thumb and "ga" comes out, that means that Princess is tired and is not in the mood for much. We really wanted to stay for Spectro and Wishes, but we weren't sure if she would make it.
Our pager went off and we headed back to our seat. We got a nice hal-booth. The best thing though was that it was nice & loud. Which realy worked in our favor because Princess had a major meltdown. All of a sudden she said her shirt was itchy and wouldn't calm down. This is where the extra outfit came in handy. Rob ran to the stroller, we changed her shirt, and all was well.
Here is me & Baby B after the shirt incident.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day21010.jpg
I ordered the Chicken Parm. & I can't remember what Rob had, but we both liked it. It was good, not great, but good. We would go back there again.
After dinner we headed to Main Street and saw the beautiful castle, as the lady that was walking beside me called it "Cinderella's Palace".
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day21018.jpg
We headed to Liberty Square to mark our spot for Spectro. We were lucky to get a spot right in front of Hall of Presidents (which was closed for rehab). I don't have any pictures from this point on because Rob was using our new video camera so I was in charge of the kids.
I'll try to post a video later. We met some really nice people while we watched the parade, and Princess LOVED it. She was tired, but loved pointing out all the character.
After the parade, Princess asked to be put in the stroller. So, she went in the stroller and I put Baby B in the pouch. We went to go find a place to watch Wishes.
It was so crowded that we stopped right after the bridge and put the stroller between us. We watched Wishes, I cried, Princess and Baby B fell asleep.
We were smushed in there like sardines so we thought we would just wait until it cleared out a little to move. Well...not everyone had our idea. People were trying to walk both ways and then it happened. A man with a double stroller almost took my DD's leg with him. He was barreling through, yelling at peope to move. I kid you not. So he gets to us and there was a crowd of people standing in front of us. He went behind the crowd and crashed right into the stroller. Rob tried to move our stroller (not possible) and he just kept pushing. Rob was telling him to stop, Princess started to cry, and even the guy beside us was telling him that he was hurting her. What a jerk! He backed up and went in front of the crowd.
After that we decided to call it a night. We were all pretty upset about the entire thing so we headed to the bus stop.
They had opened up two bus stops for Pop. Of course the line I picked was the slowest one. If you ever see me in line, choose the other one! :)
We waited for about 45 minutes and finallly got on a bus. Princess had calmed down, and she fell asleep on the bus. We made it back to the room and I got the kids ready for bed while Rob ran and got us some drinks in our mug.
The next day was Animal Kingdom day! We LOVE that park.
Do we encounter more rude behavior? Will Princess actually interact with the characters at Tusker House?

It really wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. You'll see coming up that we had to really alter our schedule based on the kids, but we didn't care. We were at WDW!
You just have to be in the right mindset I think.

They will have a blast! We were nervous taking two, esp. Baby B since he was so small. It turned out that it was actually easier traveling with a younger baby than a toddler!

I hope you get to take your trip with your baby!
I wanted to ship the diapers down, but Rob thought we should just pack them. I think packing them is fine if you can do without some other things. It also frees up some space on the way home for souveniers.
I would pack more diapers on my carry-ons next time though. That was stressful!!

I feel so bad that I have been neglecting this TR! The holidays were so crazy (we travel to both of our parents' houses). Then my DH got sick the day before we had to drive home (10 hours!), so I've been watching the kids more at night and not getting my Dis time in!! :)
I'm going to try to work on it tonight. My DH is out of town on a business trip so we'll see how tired I am. Baby B is fighting his nap right now or I would do it now. :)
Thanks again for following along. It makes is so much easier to write when I know I have people that are waiting. If you have any questions about traveling with young kids, feel free to ask. I'll answer the best I can! :)

ugg...rude people in strollers. This will be why I am afraid DS (also born this Sept 25) will probably be about 2 or 3 before we take him even though I still want him in a stroller at that age and we also will go at down times because DH has no patience with crowds...especially if they are rude.
So I am reading reports of other people going on disney trips while waiting to take my little man on his first trip...though I know in my heart our reasoning for waiting will be well worth it since he will be older.

my youngest will be two when we go, and he HATES to ride. but won't hold on to your hand or anything either, he is kind of a bolter.....:confused3 my friend offered to lend me her "leash backpack thing" but I think it would be like that SNL skit that Mike Meyers used to do with the kid tied to the jungle gym kwim? he runs away really fast and then gets yanked back hard. not fun.

We took my DD the first time when she was 17 months and she had a great time! She stayed in the stroller when we wanted her to and we could zoom around. Our last two trips since then she has wanted to walk, so it has been a little slower getting around.

I have never used those backpack things, but we saw a lot of people using them this time. We thought it was because of the stroller increase, that instead of renting they were going to try that way. My DD is stubborn, so she would probably whine until we took it off.
I am in MI, metro Detroit area. Watching it snow today.

Princess decided that we needed a 5:30 a.m. wake up call on this day. This was not a good way to start out the day esp. since we had been up late the night before. Luckily she didn't wake up Baby B, I swear, that boy can sleep through anything!
We got up, showered, and Rob headed down to the food court to fill our mugs and get Princess a snack. We were eating breakfast at Tusker House, but not until 9:30.
While he was gone I packed up and when Princess was done with her eggs, we headed to the bus stop. There was only a few people ahead of us so we knew we would get on the first bus. A thing we learned was to already have the stroller closed BEFORE the bus got there. It makes things a lot less stressful! We only waited about 5 minutes before the bus arrived. It was a quick trip to Animal Kingdom.

http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day3026.jpg
We got there in time to see the morning open. It is really cute. I asked Rob to take a picture of me and Baby B with the tree in the background and that's when it happened. This lady pushed the back of my head so hard that my chin hit my chest! I had Baby B in the Hotsling, so I tripped forward a little bit. I turned around and she said "Move, I need a picture!" I couldn't believe it!! Two rude behaviors in two days. In our last two trips we hadn't even encountered one rude person!
Anyway, here are some pictures of us waiting.

http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day3033.jpg
At this point it was around 9:05 so we headed to Tusker House to check-in for our ADR. We were really excited about this breakfast because all morning Princess had been telling us that she was going to take her picture with Don Duck. She loves him! She carries him around with her a lot at home, so we were looking forward to see if she actually would do it. As you remember from our first day, she doesn't like the characters when they get up close.
I went to check us in. It was about a 15 minute wait to just check-in. We found a seat and were called in about 5 minutes.
This is what you see when you walk in to Tusker House.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day3046.jpg
This is also where you get your food. It is so cool! It looks like an outdoor market!
We got our seat and Rob went to get some breakfast for himself and for Princess. The juice that they give you is so good! I'm not sure what it is, but it is worth a try.
They let us bring our stroller in this time since they don't have infant high chairs. We did have to ask though, so if you need an infant high chair and don't have a carseat, ask if you can bring in your stroller.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day3040.jpg
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day3041.jpg
The first character up was Daisy. Princess saw her heading to our table and said "Wook Momma, dat Daisy" I asked her if she was going to give Daisy a hug and she said yes...Daisy walked up and...

http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day3035.jpg
We couldn't believe it! I ran up and got some breakfast. I was so happy to see that they had the bisquits and gravy. I love the b&g at Crystal Palace, and this was the exact same. So good!!
Next up was Mickey. She was hesitant at first.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day3036.jpg
And then she did it again!
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day3037.jpg
We made another trip up to the buffet and then came Goofy. We were hoping that Goofy would be last because he is so tall. We were right...too much. She wouldn't even move from her seat.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day3038.jpg
We were almost done eating and we still hadn't seen "Don" duck. Then, here is came! Princess got very excited and then when he walked up to our table, she wouldn't budge! I took a pic for her.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day3039.jpg
Next up was the parade and dance with Mickey. We decided to participate and then head out to the park.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day3043.jpg
Our first stop after breakfast was Kilimanjaro Safaris. I almost didn't go because I thought it would be too bumpy with Baby B, but decided to do it since there was no warning against it.
This is one of our favorite rides. We always ride it first thing and we have seen animals every time. This time I didn't take as many pictures because we videod a lot of it. Here are a few of the better ones.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day3047.jpg

http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day3051.jpg
After the ride we decided to catch Nemo. We hadn't seen it before and Princess LOVES Nemo.
We made it right in time. There wasn't a line so we walked right in. What a great show! If you haven't seen it, do it. Ours did have "technical difficulties" about halfway through, but it was only down a couple of minutes. This is also a good place to nurse if you are breastfeeding. Baby B nursed the entire show and it is nice and dark in there. I have a BebeAuLait so that gives me extra privacy.

After the show DD was getting a little cranky and needed a snack so we headed over to DinoLand U.S.A.

They have a little cart in the corner that serves pretzels, hot dogs, and these slushy drinks. We got DD a hot dog and a slushy.

http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day3061.jpg
Rob and Blake decided to rest in the shade and Princess and I went and rode TriceraTop Spin. She loves this ride.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day3054.jpg
There was about a 15 minute wait for this ride. Luckily there was a little girl in front of us that looked about 4 that kept Princess occupied and I chatted with her Dad until it was our turn.
By this point it was about 1:30 and we knew that our time was running out. DD was getting tired so we decided that we would eat at the Park and then go back to POP. Here is Rob looking for a place to eat...or avoiding a picture, you decide.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day3056.jpg
We decided on Flame Tree BBQ. We eat there every time. It is so good. You get a lot of food, so there is enough for DD to share with us. Before leaving I took the kids to the bathroom for diaper changes.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day3059.jpg
Then we were off!
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day3055.jpg

http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day3069.jpg
We both got the BBQ sandwiches and headed out to look for a seat. Last year, Princess was terrified of all birds. We though she was over it...we though wrong! If your kids are afraid of birds or ducks, do not eat here! They are everywhere!
Princess spotting the ducks.

Going to Daddy for help.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day3077.jpg
At this point we already had our food, so we looked for a spot without ducks...not happening. So we sat at a table in the corner in hopes that they would leave us alone. There was an older couple at the table behind us who was helping us shoo away the ducks. But there were another couple sitting at the table beside us who was FEEDING the ducks. I asked them if they minded not feeding them because Princess was so scared, but they ignored me. I guess they didn't see the card that they give you that asks you not to feed the wildlife either. At this point, Princess was sitting on the table because she was so scared and we were inhaling our food. The feeders left before us and the ducks cleared out pretty quick since the only people left were waving them away.
Baby B was calm, as always.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day3070.jpg
After we inhaled our food, Baby B was hungry, so we found a bench and watched the street performers. I nursed him under my BebeAulait and Princess and Rob danced around.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day3078.jpg
At this point we were all tired from our early wake-up call so we headed to the bus.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day3079.jpg

http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day3084.jpg
When we got to the bus stop, there was only one couple in front of us. We knew we had just missed the bus. We waited about 30 minutes for the next bus, and were so happy to see it pull-up. It is a quck ride to Pop thankfully!
We stopped by the food court to fill up our mugs and then headed to the room.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day3085-1.jpg
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day3086.jpg
We got back to the room and layed down for a nap. All four of us took a long nap. When we woke up we decided to eat at the food court. I got the buger and fries, Princess got a pizza, and Rob got the Beef and Broccoli. They were all really good for food court food.
We browsed the gift shop and then headed back to the room to relax. We wanted to swim, but it was a little too chilly, so we settled in for the night.
We had an early morning the next day. It was our last day and we were spending it at Magic Kingdom.

I agree. People think that just because they won't remember every detail it's not worth it. We look at pictures at least once a week and talk about our trips there. We have fun while we are there and *I* will remember what a fun time we had going there. Oh well, some people just don't get it.

It's wonderful reading that not only is it possible to take a child that young, that they can also enjoy themselves (and you can too!). :)
Great read!

Just found your tr. Your children are adorable. I just want to hold that beautiful baby boy of yours...so cute. Looks like you are having a pretty good time so far, minus the mean guy:confused3

So sorry for the rude people. How unacceptable. We are going with our 2.5 year old in May Her first trip to DIsneyland was at 4mo. Also staying at POP. Thanks for taking the time to write a report.

I'm enjoying your TR. I'm glad to see you guys realized what your DD's limits were and worked around them. I think that's why your trip was a success as opposed to the "We are paying good money to be here, now quit crying and let's ride" approach.
Oh, my DH would never do that. He would rather crawl in a hole than walk through anywhere with a crying child!
I am so impressed in all you did during your trip! So much fun reading and seeing!

She really loved it. We look at the pictures several times a week and we talk about the trip. She'll love it!

Yeah, the mean people really were out in force this trip. Not sure why, maybe the cooler weather brought them out.:rotfl:

Can I go with you? ;) We are planning another trip for October. We were going to stay at ASMu in a family suite, but switched back to Pop. You can't beat Pop for the price. We loved the themeing and the food court was awesome.

Sorry it has taken me so long to update! Just when I think I have life as a family of 4 under control, something new happens!!
I'm posting an update right after this post. When I was looking through the pictures to post for our last day at the parks, I couldn't believe how much the kids had changed!
Here's a pic of Baby B last week:

And Princess, who has def. turned into Tink at this point! ;)

We got our usual wake-up call from Princess at around 5:30. To tell you the truth, I was really tired this day. I didn't sleep well the night before and was not happy at the early wake-up call. I think my DH knew this and got Princess dressed and took her to fill up our mugs and get her a small snack.
When they got back I had showered and gotten Baby B ready for the day. He decided he wanted to do a marathon nursing session, so Rob took Princess to play at the small play area. It happened to be right outside our room, so all they had to do was walk down the steps. It was nice because I could stand right outside our door and yell down! :wave2:
Baby B was finally ready so packed up our bags, put him on the stroller and met them at the play center. We got to the bus stop and there was a LONG line. We didn't think we would make it on the bus. Looking back, we should have waited for the next one because it was stressful getting on that bus! It was really crowded and getting the stroller folded, bags carried, getting down the isle...
We ended up getting a seat in the back across from a Nun and her friend. They were really nice and told us about their stay so far. The friend had participated in a jump rope on Main Street the day before. She gave Princess her sticker that she won as a price. This made her morning! She held on to the sticker for the rest of the trip.
We made it to MK in time to watch the opening show.

We had ADRs at Crystal Palace at 9:10. So we took our time walking in and down Main Street.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day4019.jpg
Our tradition has been to eat at Crystal Palace our first morning of vacation. I usually get the earliest ADR so we can get in the park early. I couldn't get an ADR for our first morning this trip though. :sad2:
I went to check-in while Rob and Princess walked around. There wasn't anyone in line to check-in so I went to look for them and saw this:
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day4021.jpg
Princess was having a melt-down because she couldn't find her sticker from the bus... Crisis was averted when we found it in her hoodie pocket though! :rotfl:

Baby B was nice a cozy in his HotSling and blanket.

We were called quickly for our table in headed in. We sat down right in time for the parade.

My bad mood was disappearing as Disney Magic was taking over! I love Crystal Palace. The food is so good and the character interaction is wonderful.

Continued...
All morning Princess was talking about Tigger. She was very excited to see him.

After the parade Rob went and got food for himself and Princess. He returned and I went quickly to get my food. I saw some characters walk out of the kitchen, so I hurried back to our seat.
First up to visit our table was Pooh.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day4038.jpg
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day4039.jpg
I returned to the table right as Pooh arrived. Princess was not budging from her seat. She had that look on her face. :)
Next up was Eeyore. Eeyore used to be her favorite. Her first birthday party was an Eeyore party, she was Eeyore for her 2nd Halloween, and her poor Eeyore doll is not in good shape from being toted around. So, we were all surprised when she wouldn't budge for him either!
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day4041.jpg
So, Rob jumped in the picture.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day4043.jpg
We saw Tigger coming next. We braced ourselves. This is what happened last trip.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/IMG_1105.jpg
So as Tigger walked up I shielded Baby B's ears and waited for the freak out...but we got this instead.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day4044.jpg
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day4045.jpg
We were shocked! The first picture is blurry because we didn't even have the camera on!! Here's a video.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/th_WDW-Day4048.jpg (http://s223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/?action=view¤t=WDW-Day4048.flv)
Piglet was nowhere in site, so I took Baby B to change his diaper. I came back and still no Piglet so I headed back to the restroom. While I was gone, this happened!
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/WDW-Day4050.jpg
I couldn't believe it!! I was so mad. We waited another 5 minutes and still no Piglet, so we paid the bill and headed out.
Next stop: Frontierland!

It is really easier than you would think to travel with little ones. You just have to be prepared. We took our DD the first time when she was 17 months and we had a blast!!
For a child that age I:
*figured out how many diapers I used for a day and took 3 days more.
*(we had a car) bought all her favorite snacks and brought at least 3 items with us to the park each day.
*brought twice as many wipes as I usually use. You will be surprised at all the things you will use them for.
*bring some clorox wipes to wipe off everything. :rotfl:
*Bring your comfy big stroller, a lot of the time DD would fall asleep in her stroller as we were exiting the park to go pack and nap. We knew she would never fall asleep after a bus ride so we would walk around the park then.
*make Breakfast or late Lunch ADRs. Dinners didn't go so well because she was tired by then and at that time wanted to take another nap (which was great because we could stay at the parks later).
*bring a poncho for her stroller
*Bring an extra outfit, bathing suit (may be too cold in Dec), and a bag and stash it under the stroller, JIC.
Let me know if you need anymore tips!
When was your DD born? My DS was born on 9/14, his due date.:goodvibes

Thanks SO much!! :goodvibes That's great advice! How funny! Madelyn was due on 9/14 (my Mom's bday) but I ended up getting induced & she was born 9/19 (my Dad's bday) :) Thanks for the meal tips - I've been so unsure of how many ADR's to make - but, I totally agree with what you wrote in your TR - louder restaurants are SO much better! LOL When we take Maddie for wing night at a loud restaurant she's an angel, when we try to take her to a quiet Italian restaurant she fusses the whole time & I'm much more worried about her making noise there. We also planned on brining our cushy stroller from home that reclines so she can nap there. :thumbsup2 Thanks again!!

[QUOTE=DreaGirl;29116985]Welcome to our trip report!
Well, read the next post to find out. ;)[/QUOT

great tips. I too am reading reports where the kiddos are small. DS (also born this past Sept 25th) will either be 16 mos or 28 mos depending on when we decide to go. We're going with my parents and my brother and his family but my brother can;t decide when he wants to go (doesn;t want to use much vacation in the next couple years and let it accrew for when they would have another baby) My mom and I would like for it to be next year but then again I am hestitant on that bc I would like DS to be a little older. If he is 28 mos then he might be tall enough to do more rides (I think he will be tall) At least we will have lots of extra help on hand. Being spoiled by grandma should help out his mood if should get cranky!! :rotfl2:

Keep in mind that the little ones can ride any ride that doesn't have a height restriction. There are quite a few at all the parks that they can ride. :)

We headed to Frontierland. This is also something we do each time. The first day at MK we head right to Fantasyland. The 2nd day at MK we go to Frontierland first.

As we were walking over the bridge we saw Rafiki. I asked Princess if she wanted to get his autograph and she said yes. So, we went to stand in the small line. When it was our turn, she looked at me and said "I don't want to do this!" So, we turned around and went to look for Rob and Baby B.
Our first stop was Aladdin.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/Magic%20Kingdom/WDW-Day4053.jpg
There was a small line, but we only had to wait one ride.

http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/Magic%20Kingdom/WDW-Day4064.jpg
After this we went to ride Jungle Cruise, but it was closed. :( We were upset because we loved this ride last trip.
We decided that we would try Pirate's again. Last trip, Princess did well, but we didn't know how Baby B would do in the dark. On the way there we spotted this guy.
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/Magic%20Kingdom/WDW-Day4066.jpg
We watched the show for a little while, but Princess was getting bored. I like it! When we turned around to go to the ride we saw these two, with no line!
http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/Magic%20Kingdom/WDW-Day4074.jpg
Princess was scared of the Captain, but she loved Mr. Smee.

http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd159/DreaDis/Magic%20Kingdom/WDW-Day4072.jpg
We left them and headed to Pirates. It turned out to be perfect timing because Baby B was getting hungry. Once again, there was no line, so we walked right on! Baby B nursed the entire ride and Princess loved it!!
After the ride I changed diapers and Rob shopped around the store. We ended up buying a bag of jewels for Princess and a bottle of bones and skulls for us to enjoy later.
At this point Princess was getting tired. Would our next stop be Pop or would we make it back to Fantasyland?
