Sorry to bite off of Dizzy over Disney's thread - but I thought that post would make a great poll - Im not sure if this has been done before - if it has - sorry.

So - How many points do you own ??

We have 150 points @ SSR and love every one of them.

Adonitis is just starting to hit us - but we haven't needed the extra points yet as its just the two of us.

Started with 150 at SSR. Jumped into AKV the first day it was on sale:cool1: for another 100.

We've found the 250 we have is just about right. Always tempting to add on, though. Maybe another 50 at some point, who knows? :confused3

* 150 - VB

We have a total of 350 points ...3 contracts! Originally purchased 150 points at BWV, then wanted to add more and at that time BW was sold out, so we added 100 BCV points just across the water, and then when BWV opend up more points we added another 100 points there ...so total 100 BCV and 250 BWV points! We LOVE and use everyone of them too!

We have 560 total, 300 at VWL and 260 at AKV. This will be our comfort level for a while, I think.

610 total, 300 SSR, 150 AKL, and 160 BLT, all of the points are divided into two contracts per location. That way we can give them to the boys easily when they get older.

We always wanted 600 total, but we bought 160 at BLT to get the tile. So that tile cost us $1070 dollars. I could have of re-tiled my bathroom for that much.

With regret - only 100 SSR. DH wasn't at all keen so I bought them with a legacy left to me. However on our first trip to SSR in October, he loved the BLT model and is happy to consider buying here. Only downside is the pound to dollar exchange rate is really poor now and we might have to wait . . . . .

This is interesting. It ties into the discussion of having extra benefits for those with large investments in DVC. It looks like ownership starts to drop off after 600 or so points. So maybe the this 'club' would be around 700?? That would be about 2 weeks in a 2 bedroom in Dream season. I'm sure our sample is not the same as the whole population of DVC members but it gives an idea of the distribution. The DIS, I would guess, has more heavy hitters and would skew the curve to the high end.

For us, we have 550 (300BCV, 150VB, 100AKV). Really don't need any more and perhaps have too many ....but really want VWL (we travel during school breaks and need home field advantage)

We have 100 points at AKV. DH is not a big Disney nut so my plan is to take my DD's for 5 nights in a studio using about 50 points, then bank the rest. The next year, DH can come and we'll get a 1BR.

Right now, the girls are a little too young for me to take by myself. I think I will wait until they are 6 and 8. That's only 3 more years...but we have our points allocated for trips until 2012!:lmao:

Maybe an add-on will happen, but I doubt it. The cost to get to WDW is very prohibitive for us.

I also like AKV but I would not buy in a non MK area resort, so GCV is better for us!!!! and gives us the option to altern from WDW to DLR :thumbsup2

We have 100 at AKV and plan on adding around 75-100 at VGC depending on the charts. That should be more than sufficient for us since we only do one 3-4 day trip to DLR every year and only plan on WDW once every 3 years at most.

Also we actually like sharing a room with our two DD's since for us it is a family immersion bonding experience and only for a few days. We also don't plan on doing any cooking or laundry.

100 at Hilton Head-wish we had bought 25-50 more, as we have to borrow each year. We skipped our HH trip in 2007 and banked those points, so we're sitting pretty points wise for now..but I still wish we had that extra 25 points.

I love my ownership - 150 at SSR and 52 at BCV. When I'm older I think I'll probably buy more at BCV or BWV. I like not having to take the bus and having the restaurants around the world so close by.
