I am thinking of calling BWI room assigner as we have 1 reservation booked with CRO for 1 night, 1 room followed by 2 reservations made through DVC Member Services for 2 rooms for 5 nights each. Because the reservations had to be made with both CRO and DVC MS, I was thinking of calling BWI's room assigner 3 or 4 days in advance to make sure they realized it was a continuting reservation.
Has anyone called the room assigner instead of faxing?
Thanks!
Donna
P.S. We leave Sunday, May 19th.

Donna, you can tell them it is a continuing reservation when you check in and they will do their best to be sure that you stay in one room the whole time. :)

We called the room assigner for the YC a day before we were to arrive at the hotel. He was very helpful and gave us a wonderful view.
We had originally called a week before hand, but were told to call the day before our arival so the Cm would be able to see an updated room chart.

Ok...here's a dumb question. Do the room assigners work on Sunday? We arrive on Monday, and would like to call the day before since we have a few requests on our ressie.
Thanks!

Just as front desk CM's work 7 days a week, so too do room assigners (who BTW are front desk CM's).

You can still send a fax if you'd rather. Just be sure to include both reservation numbers and the dates they run. Tell them you have continuing reservations and you should have no problem. Your situation really isn't that uncommon.

The reason why you were told to call back closer to your arrival is that the resort doesn't have your reservation at 7 days out. They can't do anything for you until they actually have the reservation in their computers.
