Sounds like it was a great trip. That hawk would have freaked me out too. The bubble bath reminded me of a little fountain in the town where I went to high school. Kids would fill it with bubble bath and food coloring. They don't run water in it anymore... :rolleyes1

I'm glad you had a great time! That was funny a funny story about the hawk. Just a warning if you ever go to Sea World in Orlando, there are a LOT of birds in the dolphin show. They fly over the audience quite a bit. Last time we went, a small parrot flew into one of the trees at the side of the stadium and wouldn't come down!

It sounds like a great trip. Well except for the hawk! The beach looks gorgeous.

Yeah, the hawk was scary. But the rest of the trip made up for it!

What a wonderful birthday trip! I'm glad you got to have some just you and DH time. :cloud9:

Yes, the San Diego Zoo is awesome! I agree; the animals look very well cared-for and they seem to have enough room to roam.

Or a little too much, as with the hawk! :scared1: But I'm glad everyone made it out of the show okay. :thumbsup2

I definitely want to go back to the zoo at some point. It was so great!

That fountain made me laugh so much! So funny that they stopped running the fountain in the town where you went to high school! Those darn kids. :rotfl:

Why do they have to put birds in the animal shows?!? Aren't there enough birds just flying around?

There are definitely some gorgeous places out west...you should absolutely make a trip out there!

It looks like you had a very nice time, with a good variety of activities. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
What is our, um... your, next destination?

I have always heard so many good things about the San Diego Zoo. I'd love to visit it someday, yet I care nothing about traveling all the way to CA, so I doubt I ever will do so.

The beach pictures look inviting!

Our next destination is undetermined. The next absolute destination is Disney World. :yay:

In the meantime, we MIGHT go to Sedona, MIGHT go to Mexico, and I MIGHT go to Las Vegas with a girlfriend of mine from Chicago. These are all up in the air right now, but you can bet that I'll let you know my plans!

There are so many wonderful places to see in California. Like Yosemite, where DH and I got married!

Hey! Guess what! My ticker says 2 months and 30 days till the trip! That's less than 3 months!!!! :yay: :cool1:

And now for some random thoughts
1. DH gifted me with a Nintendo Wii for my birthday. It's tons of fun to play. We feel like we're little kids again!

2. Job news! DH is thisclose to accepting a job offer! The offer from the original company was good, but then he snuck (sneaked?) in an interview with another company. The second company has AWESOME benefits and is closer to the area where we would like to live than the first company. DH also got a better feel from the people at the second company. DH is expecting an email tomorrow from the second company with answers to some questions he had. After all those questions are answered satisfactorily, he will sign on the dotted line! Then all that's left to do is put the house on the market in November and then pray, pray, pray that it sells! Not an easy task in this market, but we've made some pretty good improvements to the house that should help it sell. So we'll just hope and pray for the best.

3. Tomorrow is Friday and then it's a THREE DAY WEEKEND!!! :cool1:

I hope to hear good news for you guys soon! Your post reminds me of all those HGTV shows I love to watch so much about people buying and selling homes. I like the ones where they help people re-stage their homes because they're having no luck selling them, but my favorite HGTV show is House Hunters. I love to see how people decide which one is right, and then I like when they show them all settled in with the house fixed up. Maybe you could be on House Hunters when you choose a place to live in your new city! :)

I'm right there with you in that hooray for the three day weekend! :cool1: :cool1:

That's great news about the job offer(s)! Can't wait to hear.

It's funny... because my first thought was, oh no, she can't move because then we won't see her anymore. :rotfl: Then I thought about how silly that is. ;)

We bought a Nintendo Wii for Christmas. I just have to convince DH to keep it in the box until then. I think Alex will really like it and it will help his hand eye coordination. He loves to play air hockey and ski ball so we got a game that has those types of things on it. Plus bowling - he loves that too. We're just hoping that Zachary doesn't play it and get too frustrated - he tends get really mad when he loses... like throw himself on the floor kind of mad. It's actually pretty funny once in a while...

Yay on the job offers! :yay: That's so exciting! I hope everything goes smoothly and quickly with selling your house.

I love the wii! My favorite is bowling - and I can count the number of times I've actually been bowling on 2 hands! But I'm pretty good in the game! Have you taken the fitness test to find your mii's age? Mine always turns out kinda high because I'm not the best at baseball. :sad2:

If you go to Sedona you must tell me all about it! I've been looking at doing the same itinerary as Adventures By Disney's Southwest Splendor tour on our own (when DD is a little older), and it's first stop is Sedona.

I must tell you that you and your cool binder inspired me to do something on a much smaller scale. i made 4x6 size photo album books for each of my boys - but instead of pictures, I made a daily schedule for each day (with what attractions to visit in what order, nearby places to get lunch, info on parades, etc.) and glued each onto an index card. The index cards fit nicely into the picture sleeves! I also included extra index cards at the back of the albums for autographs. All thanks to you! :flower3:

You can bet I'll still be around on the DIS after we move!

I think Alex will love the Wii. It absolutely helps with hand eye coordination. And I believe some of it translates to real life sports. Make sure Zachary fastens that wrist strap very tightly when he's playing the Wii! There have been several times that I may have thrown the controller if it hadn't been attached!

Yay on the job offers! :yay: That's so exciting! I hope everything goes smoothly and quickly with selling your house.

Sedona is great! It's stunningly beautiful. If you do go, please let me know and I will tell you our favorite hike in Sedona. It's a very easy hike and it meanders along a creek/river under many beautiful trees. Such a peaceful place. :cloud9:

I'm taking my little sister (from big brothers big sisters) to a waterpark today. Then DH and I are bowling tonight with some friends. We haven't been bowling in forever, so we'll see how that goes...

We're going to have some friends over to play Wii and barbeque tomorrow. And somewhere, I need to fit in paperwork and yardwork. Yuck!

The Southwest Splendors tour begins in Phoenix then goes through Sedona, the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley and Moab. It ends in Grand Junction, CO. I've already been to the Grand Canyon a couple of times, but I never will tire of it. I love the scenery out west and just told DH last night that I'm itching to go back. We've spent more money this year on WDW as we did on our trip to Utah when I was pregnant with DD, so it's just a matter of deciding if it would be worth going on that type of trip with a toddler.

Yes, the job offer is pretty exciting. I think DH will accept this week! Yay!!!

We have a cross country drive coming up soon (when we move back to Chicago)! I am excited that we will have the dogs with us this time because that will force us to take our time and enjoy the scenery. When we drove out here, we were in a hurry to get here to see and move into our new house, so we didn't take the time to look around. It will be different this time though!

I have Disney Fever today. And it's bad.

I've been on the DIS way more than I should ever be on it, reading as many TRs as I can.

My brother and his wife (who are going on the trip with me, DH, my mom, and dad in November) were at my parents' house this weekend, so I called the house to chat with anyone who would talk Disney with me! We talked about the weather and what kind of clothes we will need to bring, among other things. I really hope it's not too cold when we're there!

DH and I found a Wii Fit this weekend and I am in love with it! It is a very easy way to get in a whole bunch of exercise without leaving the house! I wish I could invite you all over to play with me!

Okay, to feed my Disney fever, please answer this question: If you had to choose one attraction in all of WDW in which to live, which would you choose and why?

YAY on the job situation!! Thanks again for the tips for Bill. He enjoys the ankle rolls. PT is on Wednesday afternoon!!

As for the attraction, hmmm does it have to be an attraction? If not I would definately say Cinderella's Castle because - Hello have you seen the pictures of it? If it had to be an attraction The Living Seas, I really enjoy all the fish etc.

The Living Seas is a good one! I didn't even think of that. You're totally right about the castle, but it has to be an attraction. (not really, but I'm just making up rules!)

Some days just bring the desire for Disney stronger than others. Too bad we can't do a Jetsons-type instant transport and go down for the day, then be back in time for work the next day. That would be perfect.

If I could ride a ride over and over, it would be Soarin', but if I had to live somewhere, I guess I'd pick Minnie's house, so I'd have a bedroom, kitchen, etc. In Toontown, I'd have all that I needed - the garden, the market, the garage, the playground, and the shopping. :)

Have you been thinking about where we're all going to meet up on Saturday, the 29th? Do we want to meet at a park and do a ride, or do we want to meet at a resort so no on has to be in a park at a particular time? Maybe we could meet at Poly, get some food, and watch Wishes from the beach? We have to see if snowbell has any ideas, too. Glenda called me Saturday, and she said when she met snowbell she was just the cutest, sweetest girl!
I'm hoping Nicole can drive up, but she said since it's the Black Friday weekend, it might be hard for her to get away from work. I hope it works out that she can, though.

Just think, we're finally in September, which touches October. October is right next door to November, so we're getting there!

Plus, you're probably going to be so involved in your big move that the next couple of months are going to fly by!

Ooh, I'm envious of your Wii Fit! My local Game Stop told me to call again tomorrow, so I'm hoping to luck out. Too bad I wouldn't be able to pick it up till after work--hopefully if one's available they'd hold it for me!

Disney attraction to live in--my first thought was also POTC, but since I wouldn't want to fight TK over Jack Sparrow since I know I'd lose, I'll go with Livin' With the Land--I keep saying I'd like to have a garden one day, so there I go! :rotfl:

After calling what seemed like hundreds of stores, we finally found our Wii Fit at Game Crazy. They're attached to Hollywood Video. You might want to check there, if you have one near you. You're gonna love it!!! I can't wait till you get one so we can discuss!

Living with the Land is great! You'd have plenty of food to eat! And you might be able to participate in some experiments. Good choice!

It would be SO nice to just be able to magically transport ourselves to Disney for a few hours. :cloud9:

Oh, Minnie's house would be great! Can you sew me some new clothes on her sewing machine?

As far as Saturday the 29th, my plan is to be at Epcot all day, so I am cool with meeting at either Epcot or an easily reachable resort. Does snowbell have a PTR? I hope Nicole can make it!

You're right...we are getting there. Slowly, but surely!

Maybe one of my students will come back someday and tell me he/she has become a scientist, and they can invent such a transport machine.

Sewing? You'd be sorry if I sewed anything. I sewed a dress once in Home Ec. in 8th grade. Miraculously, it stayed together long enough for me to be in the fashion show. I can sew on a button, but that's about it.

Maybe we could do Beaches and Cream take-out, then, and go find a place on the beach or sit out on the terrace. I don't think snowbell has anything going yet as far a a trip report. I'll PM her and see, and I'll PM Nicole, as well.

Yay! So glad DH found a job in Chicagoland! I take it the offer was what you wanted it to be, then! :goodvibes

Hurray also for 83 days! Closer to 75 than 100! :thumbsup2

On another note, are you still enjoying the Wii Fit? I bought one on Wednesday, but was out that evening and yesterday evening, so I haven't been able to try it yet!

The worker also convinced me to get a rechargeable battery pack, but I'm considering returning it and just using regular Duracells for now. I could probably find cheaper rechargeables online.

Yes, the offer was perfect!

I like how you think about 83 days being closer to 75 than 100!

I am LOVING the Wii Fit! I have been sore from the exercises the past few days, so I know it's working. I definitely have to do cardio/aerobic exercise in addition to the Wii, but it's great for strengthening and SOME cardio.

We bought the charger with rechargeable batteries for the Wii remotes, but we didn't buy it for the Fit. I think we'll do what you did and buy other rechargeables online.

You have to try it and let me know how you like it!

Thank you! We are so excited!

We have been looking at houses online, but we're going to wait to do the real looking till we're there. My parents have a large house with no more kids in it, so they have plenty of room for us to crash for a couple months while we look.

I'm excited to buy a different house! I like our house here in AZ, but I never really let myself get too attached because I knew we'd be leaving. So I'm excited to have a permanent home!

Oh and I meant to answer about which attraction I'd like to live in... if it has to be an attraction, I'd choose TTA - inside at night for sleeping, outside during the day for catching some sun! its a lovely relaxing ride and I love relaxing! But if I could choose anywhere in Disney, it might have to be Goofy's Candy Company or World of Disney!!!

Wow! I just took a long leave of absence from the DIS!

I have some fun Disney news to report! My friend, Beth, and her DH and DS might come along with us to WDW in November! Some things changed in their schedules, so they might be able to sneak a trip in! I'm so excited and I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

The trip is getting closer and closer. Time is flying right now because we're in a mad rush to get our house ready to sell. That's why I have had NO time for DISing!!! We signed up with a realtor and had a stager come over to our house to tell us what to do to get it ready. It's like that show "Designed to Sell", but we have to do all the work ourselves!

We've donated about half of our belongings, put a quarter in storage, and completely rearranged everything else. We've painted all of our kitchen cabinets, replaced the hardware, and painted the whole kitchen. We still have lots more to do. You know how when you watch "Designed to Sell", some of the people don't want to leave after they get their houses all fixed up? Yeah, that's kinda how I'm feeling! Why didn't we do all this 3 years ago when we moved in?!? Oh well! Next time, right?

I'll post pics when it's all staged and ready to go!

We look forward to having you back around when you have the time, but it is understandable why you're short on Dis time right now. I can't imagine it'll be much different for a while - all the way through your actual move.

That's good that you might have some company on the trip. I hope that works out for them!

We're in the 60's on our count! Jill, John, and Brooklynn are going to be there in less than two weeks for their 'friends' trip with a girl she used to work with and her family. They're doing MNSSHP, and Jill is so excited!

Uh oh.

I think I have to change the title of my PTR.

DH informed me last night that he is not going to WDW in November. There will be no hater to convert.

I wanted to cry and yell, but instead, I calmly asked him why he came to that decision. His answer was as follows:
1. Because he has to start his new job in IL December 29, we will be moving right around Christmas time. Therefore, we will not be able to do Christmas with his family, as planned. To make up for the fact that we will not do Christmas with his family, he will do Thanksgiving with them.
2. He wants to save up as many vacation days as possible so he will actually get paid for the days in which we drive from AZ it IL.

Let the crying commence. :sad1:

I definitely have arguments against reason number 2. Money isn't everything. We'll be more than fine if we go a week without pay.

As for reason number one, how can I argue with him wanting to spend one of the major holidays with his family? Soon, we will be much farther away from them than we are currently. His parents are in California and Washington. His grandparents live 2 hours south of us right now, so we are able to see them pretty often. They don't do much traveling anymore, though, so once we move, we won't see them much at all. So, really, how can I argue?

I did ask DH to consider doing Thanksgiving and Christmas with his family one week before each holiday. I THINK he's considering it.

I guess I'll just have to wait and see what he decides...

Maybe he will be able to arrange to do that during the weeks before. A lot of people have to do that as they juggle multiple families and in-laws and such. I've done that with Jill and John so that they could be at John's parents on the day of whichever holiday, because that seems to be a really big deal to John's mom. I'm okay with just being together whenever it works out best for everyone. Hopefully, that will work out, but if not, you do still have your friends going, too, right?

I wish I could go the weekend before Christmas. I would love to do each park for one day all day and soak up all the Christmas decor, shows, parades, etc. and take a zillion pictures. I know we won't be able to get in all the Christmas stuff I want to do when we go for Thanksgiving, and I have the time off of school at Christmas. I don't have the money, but I have the time.

Let's figure out how to grow money trees!

If I could grow money like I grow pears, I'd be well off! I've got two pear trees in the backyard that are putting out about eleven thousand pears a day, it seems like!

There's an old black and white movie about a couple who discovered a money tree growing in their backyard. It was great at first, but it ended up causing a lot of problems. I need to find that and watch it again to remind myself that I should stop wishing for a money tree, because I find myself doing that occasionally. :)

I'm glad you still get to go in November, even if hubby doesn't, and that you'll have plenty of good company.

After some major discussions, DH and I decided that it would be fine to invite his family to our house for weekends surrounding the holidays. That means that he's coming to Disney World again!!!! I am SOOOO happy! It will be so much more fun and romantic with him! Oh, and he's the only one of the group who will completely go along with my commando plans, so I need him there! ;)

On the house front, our house isn't listed yet, but there has been a sign in the yard for a week, just to "generate interest." Well, the realtor has received some calls and we have someone coming over for a showing Sunday!!! And she's "very interested." We have LOTS of work to do before Sunday. Fortunately, DH's mom is coming into town this weekend to help us!

When I did it, I just blocked off certain rooms of the house and no one was allowed to go in them. :thumbsup2 I asked the realtor to give me at least 1 hour notice before bringing anyone so I could tidy up and pick up DD's toys. But one time I got a call saying they were in my subdivision and wanted to stop by in 5 minutes! :scared1: DD's toys were scattered all over the living room and I told the realtor I needed more time to pick up and she said ok. But then she called back a few seconds later and the people said they didn't care about buying the toys, but buying the house. To make a long story short, I threw all her toys in baskets as they were pulling up. And they didn't even buy the house. Aargghh...it still makes me mad. :lmao:

Hey Leyla! No worries about not keeping up. I've been busy too. I totally understand.

The candlelight processional is where a celebrity narrator reads passages from the Bible (I assume they're about Christmas) while a choir sings. It takes place in that big theater across from America in Epcot. The celebrity narrators who will be there when I'll be there are John O'Hurley and Neil Patrick Harris. I'm thinking we'll go with Doogie!

We're ALMOST ready for the showing tomorrow. Just cleaning and organizing left to do. We've been working non-stop since Thursday night in between our actual jobs. Tonight, we're going to take a break and go to our town festival. I need some junk food and drinks!

Did you say you're doing Epcot on Saturday after Thanksgiving, or was that snowbell? I am going to try my best to get in everything Christmasy that opens up on Friday, the 28th, sometime before we leave on the 30th. I want to see the Jingle Jungle Parade for sure, and I'd like to go by Osborne Lights, too. I plan to be in World Showcase hearing Christmas storytellers and such almost all of Saturday. Maybe we'll get to see some of the CP the night.

If we get lucky, maybe some of the Christmas stuff will be going a couple of days earlier (we can cross our fingers, right?) so we can do some of it on those days and not be trying to cram everything in on Friday, Saturday, and the morning of Sunday before we leave. Man, oh man, do I wish we were making another Christmas trip this year!!! I don't want to miss anything, but I know we're going to. I have a list of stuff that would fill seven or eight days, but we've only got 5 and 1/2.

I've been doing some Disney planning today and I have some questions for you, my friends!

What are your favorite locations for viewing
1. Spectromagic
2. Wishes
3. Illuminations

I've never seen Spectromagic or Wishes, but they are on my must do list this time. As for Illuminations, I've seen it a bunch because I spend most of my Disney evenings in World Showcase. And I usually just plop myself down wherever I happen to be when it starts. This year, however, I hope to have a plan for viewing locations.

So any and all advice would be much appreciated!

Do they normally do Christmas stuff in the days before Thanksgiving? Or does it vary from year to year? I will keep my fingers crossed for you!

When we were there around the 17th last November, they were already doing Osborne Lights, but this year they say they're not opening them until the 28th. Jingle Jungle Parade doesn't open until the 28th, either, along with Candlelight Processional. Of those, I want to see the parade the most, so we'll plan to be there on the 28th, then head straight to Hollywood Studios and catch the lights that night. (If we can get in! I hope they aren't so busy they're closed.)

As far as decorations, some resorts had up their big trees the weekend before Thanksgiving last year, and some weren't putting them up until Thanksgiving Day or the day after. I want Trent and Kristi to see Wilderness Lodge all decorated up, so I know we'll go there, too. At least I know I can get Magic Kingdom Christmas decorations in all the days before Thursday, since they're already up for the parties. That helps! It's gonna be a busy few days! We'll get home late Sunday night/early Monday morning to Alabama, where I'm leaving my car, and I'll be driving in to school two hours from AL Monday morning. I will be a complete zombie that day!

We have no agenda for Epcot, so if you have an ADR that day, maybe we could just run by and meet you there as you're waiting to go in. That way we're not losing any precious park time trying to arrange a 'meet-up'.

Oh, no! That's got to be fixed! I agree with Charleston Princess. If you see Spectro from back near Hall of Presidents, you are right there on top of it and will get great pictures. Wishes needs to be seen from up front, though. We watched from the Dumbo area once, but it's pretty intense back there. I wouldn't recommend it for a first time. For the first time, you need to be out in front of the castle.

Jill will be there Saturday, and as soon as she gets back the next weekend and we have oohed and aahed over all of her Halloween pictures and adventures, we'll start going nuts over the Thanksgiving countdown!

England is good...it was actually in the high 60's and sunny yesterday although it was kinda bright after being up for 24+ hrs! LOL but still it was nice. **As for your question about favorite places to watch Wishes...I love watching them from the bridge between Main St and Tomorrowland...NOT the one closest to the Castle but the one directly leading to Tomorrowland. There are benches built into the wall about half way through and we get there early and get the first couple of seats. When I went in Sept I watched them from the Walt and Mickey statue in front of the castle...we got a seat on the island thing and I think we were actually a little too close and missed some of the fireworks that were behind the Castle. After that I can say that I prefer the bridge instead but if you want to watch them from Main Street make sure you are a little further back so you can see all of the fireworks.

Ok enough from me...talk to you soon!

I haven't gone outside today since DH had to work and I slept til 1:30 pm...I was tired and all messed up on the time change. I am hoping to walk around town a little tomorrow. DH is good! It is so nice to see him! ;) I can't believe 1 week from today we will be back in the States together and in 9 days we will be heading to Disney!!! Single Digit dance!!!

I am sorry that the showing fell through but at least you got everything done and will be ready for the next one!

Jetlag is rough! It's good that you can nap while DH is working to get adjusted. Then you'll have to do it all again in a week! Hopefully, the jetlag will be gone in time for Disney.

Have fun while you're in England! Please take some pics! I've never been there.

Thanks for the viewing tips!

If you don't mind I have a question for you since you seem to know your stuff about WDW. :cutie: Is the Fantasmic dinner package worth it? I dont know if you've ever done it but I'd like your opinion. We were planning on booking it with Mama Melrose's but I'm scared of "fake" Italian food and wasting money on the package when I could get just as good of seats since we're not going during a time thats super crazy busy. I don't want to wait in like for 60-90 mins to get a good seat though. I really would like to eat at 50's Prime Time so I was thinking we could eat there for lunch and do MM for dinner with the package but if the package isn't worth it we could just do 50s PTC for dinner and save us some money to spend somewhere else in the World. lol If you wouldn't mind I'd like to hear what you think :goodvibes

I did the Fantasmic dinner package a few years ago and I thought it was great. Like you, I did not want to wait in line so long before the show. So I would go for it in order to ensure good seats with minimized wait times!

We're not doing to package this time because I'm not sure which day we'll want to see Fantasmic. Totally depends on crowd levels. So I'm going to be one of the people waiting for 60 - 90 minutes before the show. More time to work on my trip journal, right? ;)

As for Mama Melrose's, I have never eaten there. I have eaten at 50's PTC and it was fun. We ate at Hollywood and Vine when we did the Fantasmic package and I definitely liked the food there. I'll be checking your PTR to see what you decide!

...that is the question.

Now that the house is all set and on the market, I have more time on my hands. Aside from the daily cleaning and straightening, there is not much to be done. Our trip is getting closer every day (54 days today :cool1: ). With this extra time, I've begun to make our official Disney schedule. I love making the Disney schedule and deciding just how to get the most out of our time there.

In my Disney past, I have been a complete Disney commando. This has been made possible by my trip companions. On each trip, there has been at least one other person who is all in for commando touring style. On past trips, it has been DH (BF at the time), my BFF Beth (several times), and my cousin Sarah. I have always crammed every minute with as much Disney magic as possible. However, in reading other people's TRs, I have begun to appreciate the more laid back style of touring that really allows one to feel the magic. Ironically, there are so many things I have missed in my efforts to not miss a thing. Furthermore, I have noticed on previous trips that around day 5, I have the inevitable crabby spell that last a few hours. The crabbiness is probably induced by lack of sleep and physical exhaustion. I hate these crabby spells and it is very hard to shake them once they start.

So in an effort to slow down and leave time to smell the Disney smells and avoid the crabby spell, I have put a break in each day's schedule. This break will hopefully be used to go back to Pop and rest. Perhaps we will take a nap. Or if the weather is still warm, we'll swim. (I have a feeling though, that now that DH and my blood has had 3 years to be thinned to adjust to Arizona weather, we may not be as ready to jump into that pool as we have been on past Thanksgiving WDW trips when we were Chicagoans! My brother and sister-in-law, however, live in Wisconsin and will probably jump in the pool no matter the temp.) Perhaps the break will be used to go to Downtown Disney and have a treat and people watch. Whatever the time is used for, it will be downtime from the parks.

Now the question is this: Will I be able to tear myself away from the parks long enough to have a sufficient break? Or will I get back to the resort and get all anxiety-ridden and need to get right back to the parks? In an effort to make the breaks more likely to actually occur, I have made it so that will will spend an entire day in each park. For example, on our Magic Kingdom day, we will go to MK in the morning, then break, then back to MK. I hope that because we are going back to the same park after the break, I will not have that same itch as when we are going to a different park in the evening.

I know that my brother and SIL will appreciate this schedule. When they are on vacation, they want to feel like they are on vacation. Not only do they want to have lots of fun, but they also want to get some rest.

My parents will also appreciate this schedule. My mom has bad knees, which she has so generously passed on to me. Her knees will surely appreciate the break. My dad is still going strong, but at 68 years old, I am sure break will be good for him too.

So that leaves DH and me. We are both the type of people who want to do every possible thing to be done on vacation. We come back exhausted from every vacation we take and we like it that way. But I do think it is time for a more relaxed Disney trip.

Alas, we will try to take breaks each day in an effort to make this truly the best trip ever.

Thanks for the advice on the Fantasmic package, I really appreciate it. I think your idea with breaks throughout the day is a really good idea. I've also always been one to just stay at the park ALLLL day and then crash at night and that crabby spell most definitely happens :scared: We also plan to do only one park each day since we're not getting park hoppers so you're gonna hafta let us all know how it works out! :)

And although I can appreciate the commando style of touring, I have to tell you, if you're reading my trip report, you'll know that there's something to be said for going with the flow. Taking breaks sounds like a good idea and we almost always take one. Even going as a kid with my parents we would take an afternoon break of course that was in Aug and it was too hot and we needed the break. Now DH HATES commando style therefore it forces me to be more of a break person but it does make everything more enjoyable.

With saying that on my trip in Sept with my friend we didn't take a break the day we did MK and were there ALL day except for when we went for dinner at Kona Cafe, it was fun but man we were tired. We weren't even running around like crazy b/c we had no waits for any rides...sorry that was a spoiler from my TR. So after that trip I have come to realize that I really do like my breaks. Hi Julie! Just back from Mexico, so I'm not all caught up yet. Glad your house is ready. You have pegged our schedule in March exactly. We found out of necessity we had to break with small kids, and got pretty used to it, so we are doing it ourselves without kids. Also a thought - single park tickets are much cheaper than hoppers if you are not doing water parks or hopping for meals. We are saving aboug $400 by getting single day tickets, hitting one park a day, with the last day being whichever park we enjoyed the most and want to repeat. I planned our meals so that we don't need to hop. I think you will enjoy the break, knowing that you'll have energy to stay out later, and it feels good to freshen up before dinner.

I feel like the tour guide as well! Sometimes it feels like a lot of responsibility to make all the decisions and ensure that everyone is happy. But who am I kidding? Any Disney decision is a good decision to have to make!

You are so right about saving money on the passes...I hadn't even thought of that. I need to check into that!

Have fun figuring out your schedule! Can't wait to hear what you decide!

I can imagine that you will absolutely NEED a break with your DD. A nap will be of utmost importance.

I feel EXACTLY the same way about missing things! I feel like it's such a waste to be sitting in a dumb old hotel room (even if it is a Disney hotel room) when there's so much fun to be had!

Getting a lot done before lunch time is my goal as well.

Honey, just take it one step at a time. :goodvibes Schedule in breaks, and you'll know what you feel like doing. If you want to keep going, keep going, and if you want to relax, relax. Of course I'm reading your TR (as should everyone else!)!!

You are right...we should just go with the flow. I will try to strike a nice balance between commando and relaxed style. I will schedule in the breaks and we will use them if we choose to use them!

I think the only "bad" part of my past trips has been that i have had every MINUTE planned out. And that did not leave any time for unexpected things to happen. So I will definitely take your advice to heart.

I think that because you are going to go back to the same park in the evening, you may find breaking in the afternoon a little bit easier. Also, isn't it pretty crowded around Thanksgiving? You may be thankful to escape the crowds for a little bit. However, like TK said, if you don't feel like breaking, don't break -- just keep going. :goodvibes

I agree...the break will be easier to do since we are returning to the same park in the evening. When we leave the park in the afternoon, we will know what we want to do when we get back and plan the break time accordingly.

I've been twice before at Thanksgiving and I honestly can't remember it being super crowded. But everyone says it's really crowded, so it must be! :confused3 So, yes, a break might be just what Walt ordered at that point!

And I am REALLY going to try to just go with the flow!

Taking breaks sounds like a good idea and we almost always take one. I definitely need to look into the cost difference of park hoppers and single park tickets. There are a couple days where we plan to go to two parks, but I may change that if the price difference is significant enough.

Random thoughts:

Today, I took my little sister from the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program to see Beverly Hills Chihuahua. It was SO cute! I definitely recommend it (if you don't mind talking dogs!)

Also, we went out to dinner with two other couples this evening. We made reservations for an outside table at this super cute Mexican fusion restaurant. The weather is starting to get much nicer in the evenings and we can finally dine outside again. Okay, so we live in the desert, right? So if it's not monsoon season (it's not), it NEVER rains. But guess what! Just as we were finishing our dinner and sipping the last of our delicious margaritas, the skies OPENED up and it started to POUR! It was actually pretty funny as we ran into the restaurant for cover. Unfortunately, I was wearing some pretty spiky heels, and one of my heels got caught in between two boards on the patio! I got extra soaked as I tried to pry my shoe out! Sheesh! All that rain reminded me of my trip to WDW last October!

It was a fun Saturday and we're hoping for some showings of the house tomorrow. We plan to go for a nice, long hike tomorrow with the dogs, so hopefully people will come while the dogs are out of the house!

I've never been one for breaks. It just seems to take so long to get to the hotel and back again. But as you have read in my TR I will be taking things slow. Maybe if you guys decide to do the same a nice trip to the boardwalk for an afternoon stroll. Also Bill is almost finished with his PT, thank you so much for helping me, I asked about scar massage and it helped Bill tremendously. I don't know if these measurements mean anything, but the PT guy measures Bill's leg/ankle/foot and he said it went from a negative 9 to a postive 18.

Yesterday, DH and I got the dogs and ourselves ready, packed up the car, and drove to a beautiful hiking trail in Cave Creek, AZ. We hadn't been there before and we were excited to try a new trail. The weather is FINALLY starting to cool off in AZ, so we're thrilled about getting outside again.

The hike follows a creek (as the name suggests). Our dogs are normally not water lovers. I think we have one of the only labs in the world who HATES water. However, yesterday, they were loving the creek. It was so cute! We let them off their leashes (shhhh...don't tell the forest rangers) and let them have at it. Well, Roxy, our lab, was having a ball running from one bank of the creek to the other. Then, suddenly, she decided to rub her face and head in all the mud on the creek bank! And she wouldn't stop! DH and I were cracking up watching her have so much fun. We then hiked back to the car and drove back home. Along the way, DH and I decided we were hungry, so we got some lunch from a gourmet grocery store and had a little picnic in the parking lot with the dogs.

It was such a fun day! The hiking and nice weather are two of the many things I will miss about AZ.

Here's Roxy getting into the creek (this was after she rubbed her face in the mud once)

http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb315/julieswanster/886b56ce.jpg

And here's a close-up of her muddy face! My pretty white lab all muddied up! So cute!

Part of me wants to see that movie part of me doesn't :rotfl:. Do you happen to have any MNSSHP tips? Bill and I will be going for the first time on Oct. 21st.

Also Bill is almost finished with his PT, thank you so much for helping me, I asked about scar massage and it helped Bill tremendously. I don't know if these measurements mean anything, but the PT guy measures Bill's leg/ankle/foot and he said it went from a negative 9 to a postive 18.

Tracy, those measurements are AWESOME!!! Those are the kind of measurements that we hope and pray for as PTs! I am so happy that the therapy has helped Bill. Scar massage is definitely key to a good recovery after surgery. I'm so happy I could help you guys out! And kudos to you for carrying through with the home program!

I definitely do have MNSSHP tips! If I had it to do over again (someday I will!), I would not go on any rides except Haunted Mansion and Snow White. I would do all of the special activities/shows that they have going on for the party instead. We missed a lot of the activities because we went on a bunch of rides. Rides we could have gone on any old time! Also, pay close attention to the times that attractions and restaurants are open. We did not pay attention and we missed out on eating where we wanted to!

Thanks for sharing your great hiking day with us! That had to help with all the stress of everyday life (and selling the house) just to get away and have fun!

I second your advice about the activities. Stick to the special stuff, because there aren't enough hours to get all those and the rides in. Jill, John, and Brooklynn did MNSSHP last night. She called me while waiting for Hallowishes to start, and then the Boo to You Parade was after that. They had already done trick-or-treating, the Villains Dance Party and had pictures taken with Mickey and Minnie in their Halloween outfits.

49 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe we only have 49 days left! I am getting SOOOO excited for our trip. I haven't even made a countdown yet! I need to get moving on that. I'll probably do that this weekend. Any cute countdown ideas? (That don't involve Mickey Heads because I feel too guilty to steal them!)

Oh, and a house update...welcome to my rollercoaster, er, life. We have now decided to keep our house and rent it out through a management company. DH talked to the realtor yesterday and the realtor said that since we've only had ONE showing, it means we're priced too high. We're just not willing to go lower with our asking price though. And in today's market, that means we have very little chance to sell, apparently. SOOOO...after much deliberation, we have decided to keep the house as an investment property. Our realtor seemed okay with this idea and even said he could find us a renter (for a commission, of couse). So our morning cleaning sprees are over! Hallelujah! And now we can leave whenever we want. I was a little worried that someone would make an offer on the house soon and we would have to leave earlier than planned. So now all we have to do is install a pool fence, decide on a management company, and we're all set! I'm very happy with this decision, but it seems a little too adult for us to be landlords. Weird.

48 days today! :cool1: It's really getting close! Hearing that makes me very excited because it means my trip is getting closer, too! Sorry, I don't have any countdown calendar ideas. I'm not very crafty, I guess. :confused3

Sounds like you both have a good plan for your house. It's pretty tough to sell these days and prices are pretty low. We plan on trying to sell again when the housing market picks up. I know what you mean about being a landlord! My parents just started renting out a condo they have a couple years ago. It's kinda scary at first, but they've had great tenants so far. Their management company is really good and does the credit checks and doesn't target students (It's by the beach and there's a college nearby).

Don't feel bad about stealing the Mickey Heads, there's plenty of them there to go around and since they are free, its technically not stealing anyway.;) Either that or I'm just trying to justify the fact that I took about 60 of them last week and make myself feel better about it:rotfl2: Congrats with the new renting idea! I don't know much about real estate or anything but I definitely agree that in this market you'll never get what you deserve for the house so look at the rent money as extra money you can spend in Disney!!:goodvibes

When is your trip?

December 3, but just for 2 nights. We live so closeby, so we never take really long trips to WDW. I like to say that being so close is a blessing and a curse. A blessing because we can go often, but a curse because we never stay very long like those of you who travel from further away.

I forgot your exact dates, and it looks like I'll be just missing you. We're staying at Pop, too. So maybe I'll run into you near the check-in/out desk! :lmao:

I made my countdown calendar today! I had about an hour to kill while I waited for my oil to be changed, so I brought my supplies with me and worked on it while I waited. I definitely got some funny looks from the other patrons of the dealership. Oh well!

One great thing about this countdown is that I finally found a use for my page-a-day calendar that I NEVER tore the pages off of! I'm excited to now have a tangible countdown with pages to rip off every day!

I am too lazy to post pictures right now, but you know I will as the trip gets closer. DH's grandparents drove up from Tucson today and we went to a wild west town for the day. We had dinner at the cowboy steakhouse there. It was delicious, but I am so full, I can hardly walk!

The weather here in AZ is getting SO nice! We had a beautiful day today. I don't think the temp got above 75. :yay: These are the best days of the year here...when it FINALLY cools off!

I drive a Pontiac Vibe. It's a hatchback sedan-ish car. I just got it last December and I love it! Since I go to kids' houses to do their physical therapy sessions, I have to bring my equipment with me. I had an SUV but it was terrible on gas. The Vibe is perfect because it fits all my equipment, but gets GREAT gas mileage. And I got it with the upgraded sound system and the sunroof, so it's even better!!!

As promised, here is a pic of my countdown calendar.

This page is kinda boring...just the number and a sticker of Belle (my all time favorite princess). The pages get much more exciting as we get closer! But you'll just have to wait to see those...

http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb315/julieswanster/d67393f5.jpg

And I bought a trip journal today.

Here's the front.
Nice and boring and customizable:

http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb315/julieswanster/b2c01b93.jpg

And the pages are all different colors!

http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb315/julieswanster/1c62f4ce.jpg

See all the different colors? I guess I'll have to use one of those super cool gel pens to write on the black pages!

http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb315/julieswanster/6da022f7.jpg

And here are some house pictures! I said forever ago that I would post these and I totally forgot!

Here's our kitchen, with our newly painted cabinets. I wish I had a before pic to show you how dramatic the difference is with the cabinets painted!

http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb315/julieswanster/3c2d1125.jpg

And here's our dining area/family room. The walls (well, two of the walls) in here were dark red and an eggplantish color. I have absolutely no idea why we didn't paint them sooner! It looks so much better now!

http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb315/julieswanster/a39dc588.jpg

http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb315/julieswanster/175044cb.jpg

And our bedroom with new neutral (boring) comforter and iron scroll for the wall.

http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb315/julieswanster/05b8991e.jpg

Our bedroom used to be all white and shades of blue, designed to remind us of Capri, where we honeymooned. It was so peaceful and relaxing. But the stager told us we had to make it all neutral, so we painted the walls to a neutral color and got this comforter.

I left out the pics of the office and spare bedrooms. Oh, and the bathrooms. Those rooms are all boring!

And now that we're renting the place, I'm wondering...did we REALLY have to do all that work? But I guess it will make the place more attractive to potential renters, so it can't hurt!

And having a clean house all the time is SOO nice!

On another note, DH and I saw Quarantine Friday. If you love scary movies, GO SEE IT!!! It was great!

Cute countdown calendar - I can't wait to see the rest. I, too, love gel pens. They're so cool, but I sort of feel pre-teenish when I have them in the cool colors. :lmao: Sort of Lisa Frank-ish. Did you ever have those?

I definitely had the Lisa Frank goods!!! Stationary, stickers, pens... You name it, I had it!

It's funny because I got rid of a bunch of gel pens when we were thinning out our belongings in preparation to put the house on the market. Now I'm kicking myself for donating all that stuff! I guess I have an excuse to buy new ones! I'll just pretend they're for my little sister. :rotfl:

The cabinets were a whitewashed color. They are a light wood color and had a whitewash stain on them. They just looked dirty to me! But I guess that's what was fashionable in the 80s here! Oh, and they had the ugliest hardware. Ick!

It's funny...I just said to DH yesterday that in our next house, if I don't love the cabinets, we're painting them white! It just makes the kitchen look so bright and so clean!

Gel pens are a hot commodity amongst third-graders!

Jill had some of the Lisa Frank stuff. She also loved going to the San Rio Surprises Store, but I could rarely buy her anything. I had little to no extra money to spare in those days, and that's one of the reasons I enjoy doing things for her so much now.

Sounds like you are at peace with the renting situation, so I hope you get good renters who stay a long time. I don't want you to have headaches with that while you're trying to establish yourselves in your new place. I know it feels good to have the house looking like you want it, and it does look very nice.

I said we were starting our official countdown today, since Jill's birthday trip is now over, but I'm not psyched up about the trip today, so I'm going to wait a few days until I can really be excited when I start. There have just been too many stressful things going on around here between school and home and Drew's accident. Maybe when I get through two nights of parent conferences this week, then I can think about being excited again.

I know once things settle down here, and I start seeing the Christmas pictures people start posting, I'm going to be very eager to go! We're meeting in Epcot on Saturday after Thanksgiving, right? We need to pick a spot that's not so crowded so it'll be easy to find each other. I was thinking over there near the UK, like on one of those back streets where the shops are - there are never hardly any people there. Or maybe across the way at the outdoor seating area for the fish and chips place. We'll touch base with snowbell and Nicole (if she gets to come up), and there's someone else over on our TR that's going to be there that week, too, so we'll see if they can come by. You guys will probably spot Brooklynn before we spot you. She'll probably be dancing around singing a song in the streets!

I know it's hard to feel too much excitement about a trip when there are very serious things going on elsewhere in your life.

I think meeting in Epcot near the UK shopping area would be perfect. And you're right...I'll recognize Brooklynn right away! Are you going to the candlelight processional that night? Any time is good for me as long as it's after noon (so we can do most of the things we want to do in Future World). We'll be there all day!

It will definitely be here before you know it -- I was pulling out Thanksgiving recipes today and thinking how close it was -- sure wish I was you and planning on eating at Disney! :goodvibes

YUM!!! Thanksgiving recipes. I saw on someone else's thread that you made pumpkin bread today. That sounds DELICIOUS! I just bought some pumpkin shampoo the other day and it smells just like Thanksgiving! Also, I had a pumpkin latte yesterday. SO good! I love planning holiday meals. We're going to do Thanksgiving with DH's fam the weekend before Thanksgiving, so I'm happy that we'll still have a home made Thanksgiving dinner! Although those Disney thanksgiving dinners are pretty tasty...

Great house pictures, youre so close to your trip, im so excited for you!!

Thanks!!! :goodvibes

The pumpkin shampoo came from the hair salon. I got a haircut and I saw that pumpkin shampoo on the shelf and i couldn't resist. It looks like the brand is "healthy sexy hair". It's by the same people who make that "big sexy hair" stuff.

I might have to get another pumpkin latte today. Yum!

I am freaking out right now!

I just talked to my mom and she said our balances were due today!!!:scared1:

What?!?!?

I have never done a MYW package before. I have only ever done room only. So I completely forgot that I had to pay my balance ahead of time.

So I called Disney right after I called my mom and they were CLOSED!!!

I specifically remember asking the agent if I would receive a reminder email about the payment due. She said yes! I know I shouldn't have relied on that and that I should have written it on my calendar, but I was a dummy!

So now when I call tomorrow, will my reservation be gone? Will my super money saving code be gone? I am so scared! :scared1:

In the wee hours of the night last night, I figured out how to pay my balance online.

But at first, I could not find my reservation online. You know why? Because they still had my phone number listed as my parents' phone number! Even though that hasn't been my phone number my past 4 trips! I don't know why their system doesn't update those things. :confused3

The crazy thing was that I entered my card number and everything and it was loading for about 15 minutes. It said on the screen "do not hit back or refresh while loading as this may result in a double charge to your credit card." WEll, after 15 minutes of waiting for it to load, I figured there had to be a problem. So I clicked on the dreaded refresh button! And it loaded for another 5 minutes or so and then said "page error". Oh bother!

However, when I logged back into my reservation with my parents' phone number, it said my balance was paid in full! :yay:

All is right in my world again!

Thanks for keeping me calm!

After a certain time of night Disney updates the websites and that is why you were having issues. Since you hit the refresh, I would keep track of your reservation and make sure it didn't charge you twice. It probably didn't, but I would double check just to make sure.

Now that the trip is paid in full and we are REALLY and TRULY going to Disney World, my thoughts have turned to getting in shape for this trip!

In the months preceding last year's trip, I had been running a lot, so I was in good shape for the trip. This year, nothing! Well, I guess I've been doing the Wii Fit, but that doesn't really help with endurance.

Also, with the ridiculous amount of pictures that are sure to be taken by my mom, my bro, and me, I need to tighten up a little so I don't hate the pics of me! So this week, I have begun to take the dogs on extra long walks. This weekend, I will begin running.

DH and I also decided that we are going to do our annual ski trip in Park City this January. Previously, we had decided that it was going to be too much with Disney, moving, starting new jobs, etc. But we both have frequent flier miles to use and we love that ski trip, so we're going for it! That means that I have to be in much better shape than I currently am. Last year, I got very tired and sore at the end of each day of skiing, and I hope to fend that off this year by preparing a little more.

My quest for fitness has hereby begun!

(Check with me the day after tomorrow to see if it's still going. :rotfl: )

Some fun news...

Last night, I got an email from Southwest about low fares for the holidays. So I checked my mom, dad, bro, and SIL's flights and was able to save them some moolah! Their homebound flight was quite a bit less expensive, so I rebooked it for them and my mom (who paid for all the flights) now has 280 dollars in a Southwest account!

When I called her to tell her about it, she said "Oh, maybe you and I can do a mother-daughter trip somewhere with that credit." I smell bounceback!

:lmao: I do the same thing! I actually look at the calendar for any upcoming events where I know pics will be taken or will involve people I haven't seen in a while. Actually, now that I type it out, it's a little embarrassing. :rotfl: In a couple of weeks I have a birthday party that I'm going to that I want to drop a couple of pounds for. I'm short, so a couple of pounds are noticeable. I really do need to exercise, but I've been leaving the house at 8am and getting home past 9 almost every day. So right now, it's just not in the cards for me.

(I'm sorry if that pic is grainy...I took it with my phone!)

It has been nice to have a car at our disposal for the last few trips. We used the bus most of the time, but there were some times when the car was so handy. Like when we wanted to go to the grocery store. And when we were staying till park closing and didn't want to wait for the bus!

On my phone, I can send the pics to my email instead of to a phone number. It's so nice! Easier than uploading them from my camera.

I was reading Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris. They're the books that the HBO show "True Blood" is based on. I was sad about being finished with all the Twilight books, so I began another vampire series!

Have you read "The Year of Living Biblically." That was a very interesting book about a guy who tried to live a year living all of the rules of the Bible. First the old testament, then the New Testament. I really liked it.

Wow, it was only in the 50's by me here today, but I love fall so the brisk temperatures are welcomed by me :) This was me for most of the day :surfweb: with a cup of tea lol

I would love mid 50s right now!

Fall is my favorite season. The leaves changing, hot cider, halloween, thanksgiving, pumpkin farms...:cloud9:

Last week, I went to the Disney Store to get some Disney Dollars for my SIL for her birthday (which is next week). She and my bro are going on the Disney trip with us.

Well, that got me thinking about our change bucket...

I have decided that the change in the change bucket will be converted to Disney Dollars the week before the trip. So far, there is a total of about 80 dollars in that bucket. I think I'm going to add some dollars to the bucket now as we get closer to the trip. The more Disney Dollars, the better!!!

Seriously. I HATE winter. I mean, I HATE it. I LOATHE it. But the huge majority of my family is pretty much right around here, or somewhere in New England. Quite frankly, I can't imagine functioning without that support system. I'm sure we could do it, but it would be hard.

That's a great idea! Don't want that change to get lonely, right? Throw some dollars in! ;)

Living so far from our families has been pretty hard and I'm ready to be done with it.

HOWEVER, winter will be a hard pill to swallow. Especially since we're moving back right in the thick of it. No easy transition there. DH is much like you, hating winter and all. It's going to be an even harder transition for him. But it will be worth it to be close to family. (I'm just going to keep telling myself that!)

Yes, gotta keep that change company! I might just go add a 5 right now! If it's Disney Dollars, I won't feel like I'm spending real money!

Me too. I would move in a heartbeat if my kids would move some place warm. I have given my DH alot of grief for alot of years because he moved us back here. We were away from home for 10 years with the AF, so we're pretty independent - although I suppose when we're ready to leave, our parents will need us. Oh well, we can always get away to WDW! :hippie:

One good thing about keeping our house and renting it out is that we'll always have a home in AZ. So if we're too wimpy for the cold Chicago weather...AZ here we come!!!

I never thought about gift cards...do you get them at Disney store?

I am stuck at home with pink eye today. I won't go into details but it's gross.

So when I went to Target to fill my eyedrop prescription today, I had some time to kill. I wandered over to the sporting goods section and bought these babies:

Sorry it's dark. Phone pic again!

These are my fave ponchos. Last year, when it rained on us every minute of every day of our trip, these were the ponchos that worked the best.

So I got two for each of us (Dh and me). I also have some dollar store ponchos, but those will be a last resort. Hopefully 3 ponchos each will get us through the trip.

Feel better, pink eye is most definitely NOT fun! I was just going to get dollar store ponchos but do you think I should spring for some that are a little more expensive? I don't know how to put this...lets see....I have a big head:rotfl2: so I need to have a poncho thats going to stay on it and not fall back like every other hood does on me lol:laughing:

Here's hoping the about two inch average rainfall in Florida in November is not going to all fall during the days we're there. :umbrella: I'd be okay with none of it falling, unless it's just a sprinkling to run some of the guests out of the park so we have fewer people to stand behind in lines! :)

Sorry about the pinkeye. Kids at school get it all the time. It usually clears up quickly, though, so hopefully it will do so with you, too.

Hope your pinkeye clears up quickly, and that it doesn't rain at all while you are there in November. :goodvibes

Hey Julie - all caught up here! Congrats on your quest for fitness - how are you doing? I need to start one also - just getting back from Disney and eating soooo much. In fact, I just ate my rice krispie chocolate dipped mickey head that I brought home yesterday.

Woo Hoo on the change bucket too!

Thank you!

If I were you, I would spring for at least one of the more expensive ponchos (well, 2, I guess so your DBF has one too!). I found that they stayed where they were put and did not get torn as easily as the dollar store ponchos. And I think they should definitely cover your head! You must be very smart. You need somewhere to put all those brains, right?!?

Yes, I hope it doesn't rain much! On our last Thanksgiving trip, it only rained once and did precisely what you said...scared some people out of the park! And the Thanksgiving trip prior to that, it didn't rain at all. So I'm hoping!

The doctor said I'm good to see my kiddos tomorrow, so I'm relieved. I HATE missing work. It was hard for me to stay home today!

The quest for fitness is going well. I am currently sore from my quest for fitness! DH and I are supposed to go running tonight. I can't wear my contacts right now, and I don't know how the running will be with glasses on, but we'll see!

Yum! I want a chocolate dipped mickey head rice krispie treat!!!

That change bucket is getting fuller and fuller!

My Magical Express tags!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yay!!!!

I'm so excited!

The trip is becoming more and more real to me!

Oh, another fun thing! DH pulled the page of the countdown calendar today! :cool1: (Maybe I forcefully asked him to, but he did it!)

But why does it say AK in the Mickey Ears? I should probably know the answer to that, but I don't!

Yay for ME tags!!! I've never been able to figure out why they say AK either. I forget what it said when I stayed at CBR last year. But Pop century has always said AK. :confused3
