Can someone answer a ? for me?

I want to get into digital scrapbooking and have been reading some about it. I'm pretty sure Dh got me Photo Shop Elements for Xmas. I was wondering if I can have the scrapbook pages I make printed out at Costco in 12x12 format?

I did a trial on Smilebox and when I had them printed some of it was chopped off. I have 12 x 12 albums and all the paper scrapbooks are 12 x 12 as well. Als, do I need to buy additional software for layouts? I know there's some freebies, but is it really ok to take from those?

I can't wait to get started!!! I just want to make sure that I can print out on 12 x 12 and it look good.

I know Costco does scrapbook size prints, 12 x 12 and 8x8. I haven't done digital scrapbooking either so I don't know how they come out. I'm hoping to start doing some digi scraping too. I'm hoping DH gets me SBC+ for Christmas. There are a lot of digiscrapers on here. So I'm sure some one can answer you question better.

My plan is to put the printed pages into my 12x12 book with a mix of paper pages.

I mix my books (digi and paper) and the costco prints are true 12x12. they are $3-$4 a page though, so at some point I am going to have to invest in a large pic printer.

And most of the free stuff I have found prints 12x12 well. You can usually tell what is not high enough res to print when you are working with it.

Thanks for responding. I was trying out Smilebox Creations and it was easy, but when it uploaded and was printed out to Costco the pictures were fine, but some of the stuff on the layout was cut off. I went back and found that you have to use specific layouts in order to print a 12x12 out.

I have watched a few tutorials so I am ready to play with it. I can't wait!

I'm still learning about all this digi scrapping. Is Smilebox a scraping software program? If so how do you like it? Can you use digi elements from other places or are you limited to what the program provides?
