Hey gang,
I have been trying for over 2 months now to get a room for one night for a friend of mine for Friday, May 31.

He lives in GA: has a annual pass, a AAA card, an Entertainement Club card, and a fan club card.

The cheapest rate I can get at HR is $249.00 and Portfino only has kidsuites for $315.00. This friend and his 12 yr old son plan to only shower and sleep in this room. Therefore, spending $250 a night plus taxes is kinda out there to him and me.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Otherwise, I'm assuming they will stay offsite.

If you're booking relatively close to your arrival date, you may not get a substantial discounts. The best discounts can be had by those who book early. That doesn't mean you can't find a discount, but your odds of finding are get smaller the closer you get to your vacation dates. You can try www.hoteldiscounts, www.travelocity.com, or www.expedia.com.

Try www.hotelkingdom.com. This is where I found the best rate for Club level at HRH in Oct. I also tried all the resources he has plus Fl. res. and none of these came close. Hope you have luck somewhere.

I've seen some commercials down here in South Florida advertising the HRH at $139. Don't know if that's a Florida thing. Call them up and say you heard about a special $139 rate and see what happens.
