Hi All,
Well, we closed Jan 30th on a resale thru the Timeshare Store. We received a letter from them stating that the executed Warranty Deed had been forwarded to the county's Official Records dept. for recording. They felt it would take 3 weeks. They report that the title insurance policy will follow 60 days afterwards.
How will we know when MS has received the recorded deed so that we can make ressies ASAP, and does one need to have the title insurance policy before doing so?
Thanks!!!

We closed Wednesday and our broker told us that we can make ressies next week, probably Thursday. She said all we do is call MS and get our Membership number and then make the ressies.
Good luck! ;)

We bought through Jaki also, how long did it take you to close from the day you sent your deposit in? They got our check last Weds.

Lance- if your closing was Jan 30- it usually takes about a week to be in the computer. You don't need to have the recorded deed in hand. Call MS and see if they have record of your transaction. You will have to provide your SS# since you probably don't know the membership number. If you're in the computer- you can make a reservation. Enjoy!

We bought through Jaki at A Timeshare Broker and we closed in less than 4 weeks in Dec. One of the weeks being Christmas week when nothing generally goes on I thought that was fairly quick.
Jaki did a great job staying on top of the attorneys and Disney to work the deal out smoothly.
Good luck

We mailed our closing check on Tuesday afternoon via overnight UPS. I wrote the tracking number down and it was delivered Wednesday morning around 9:30 a.m. I received a call from Jaki from the Timeshare Broker on Thursday that we closed on Wednesday and we could get our membership # from MS either Friday or more than likely Monday. We called MS on Friday, of course :) ! and was told that they showed that we closed on Wednesday but the membership # wasn't yet in the system and we would need to wait until Monday! They indicated that ALL Disney closing occur on Wednesdays. (We had good timing!) We received a call from MS on Monday with our membership #! How exciting! We then made our first reservation Tuesday of last week at the BWV! We were a little nervious concerning availability but had no problem! 12 nights at BWV in Sept! One Bedroom Standard view! We must be lucky!
Have a Disney Day! :)
