So as kid I always got these tin bookmarks from Fort Wilderness, they came in sets of 4 and had what is now considered classic characters. Once I tried collecting character bells. Literally little bells you could ring, got one and couldn't find them again.

As an adult I haven't bought any souvenirs in 4 trips. Curious what other adults (ages 20+) choose as a keepsake.....

If I ever won the $500 shopping spree from YOAMD, I'd buy things for my students, what about you?

I'm kind of boring. Pins and antenna toppers mostly. I keep saying that I'm finally going to buy myself something nice, but haven't yet. Maybe with my $200 gift card next month

Figurines, artwork, things from the different countries at Epcot. I usually spend around $500 each trip on souveniers. Its funny cause each time I go I'm thinking "I got everything I wanted last time, probably won't buy much this time..." Then I go and find all this new stuff I never saw before....figures.

I like to look for unusual jewelery from the different countries at Epcot, I like little animal figurines, and I like looking for unusual things I won't find at home. Last trip I found a small Chinese Calligraphy set in the Yak and Yeti gift shop.

We like the pressed pennies. We don't go very often so we still have a lot to get. I suppose at some point we might have to graduate to the quarters. I like them because they are cheap and easy to store (with the little books) and I don't have to dust them!

We also buy pins...not for trading, we just like them. We put them in shadow boxes and they are on display.

I also like the antenna toppers (you can make really cute "bouquets" with them) and the refillable mugs.

We also tend to get resort specific stuff (i.e. pens, Christmas ornaments, etc.).

DH likes t-shirts...I think he got like 5 or 6 last trip!

We can't afford a lot of bigger stuff and even if we could our house is small and we just don't need the clutter.

I save all the paper things I see and put them in my scrapbook. I try to not get any souvenirs. I save the money for the next trip.

The add a charm bracelets are nice and you can find different charms in different parks and resorts. The have the same basic selection where ever you go but you can find a few that are unique to your location. I am not the only 35 year old who collects them. My friend does also. By the way we are both teachers.

I'm a bit fan of pens. Exciting, I know lol. I especially like the holiday ones!

Can't have a trip without the obligatory mug for school coffee use!

Pretty much anything I see that is cool, I pick up because I never know if I'll see it again.

My tradition is to get a candy-covered, chocolate-covered, caramel-covered apple on each trip (or, sometimes, on each day of a multi-day trip). Don't think that counts as a souvenir, though, since it doesn't usually make it home.

Other than that, at some point somebody decided that I needed to collect Stitch stuff (probably me), so I just get something different each time. So far I have an antenna topper, cute little magnet thingy, not so cute rubberized magnet a.k.a. The Ferret Chew Toy, cookie jar, T-shirt, large mug, travel mug, ridiculously gigantic mug, etc., etc., etc.

Stitch story: I was at MK with some young friends who wanted their picture taken with Stitch. I (of course) was happy to accommodate them. In between pictures, Stitch kept pointing at me and then at himself. Wondering how he knew I was a fan, I thanked him for the thought but told him I don't photograph well. He seemed pretty insistent, but I just took the pictures of the girls and we moved on. Oddly enough, as we were leaving, he threw up his hands in (apparent) frustration.

Only on the way home did I realize that on that day I happened to be wearing my Stitch T-shirt. He didn't want me to join him in a photo, he was just pointing out that he approved of my choice in clothing.

It's a very nice shirt.

I've been picking up fridge magnets from the last few vacations I've been on, and I'm starting to use those as sort of a travelogue for places I've been to.

Usually a t-shirt and ballcap.

Non-Disney stuff from World Showcase: a pillow from Japan, cologne from Norway... Over the years, people have given me all kinds of Disney stuff- kitchen towels, dog bowls, blankets.. you name it. So I pretty much shoot for things that don't necessarily look like they're from Disney, but remind me of being there.

I've been collecting a new mug each trip - they're useful, and make me smile when I wake up to a hot cup of d-n-d before heading off to work on the day's headache ;)

Thinking of starting up a charm collection to supplement the one my mom started for me back when I was 6.

I've collected so many cups and mugs over the years, I don't allow myself to buy anymore. The cabinets are beyond full! I've recently decided I have a shortage of sweatshirts, so last trip I bought two. I love getting things for the kitchen. We get a Christmas ornament every trip, and I always by a shirt from Tatooine Traders. DH and I both like to trade pins, but we buy them BEFORE we go, so I don't know if that counts or not.

I'd like to get a "passport" at Epcot and get it stamped in all the nations :) That's my goal this next trip.

I got totally hooked on pins. I just couldn't stop myself. i have yet to trade though. Next time deffinately.

I also collect Disney promotional videos. I have some from the early 80's and I order the new one every year. I've got the DVC videos too. And then the ones you buy in the park too. Of course.

I'm thinking about getting into snow globes, but I really have nowhere to put them=P

I collect the Carribean Beach Resort refill mugs. Even when I didn't go, my parents got one for me. We're Carribean Beach people.

I don't really buy much anymore, but I will probably buy a watch this trip. My Rolex's clasp won't stay shut so now I'm afraid to wear it. Time for a cheap watch until I can send it in to be fixed.

Also, if I a cute Stitch thing I will usually pick it up. I like shot glasses as well and there's a new 4 park set that looks very cool and I'll get that this trip.

I dont buy too many souvenirrs when we go to Disney. We go often so I see basically the same things each time I go.

I'm 28 and I love Stitch. So if I see something new to sit around my house with Stitch on it, I usually get that. This last time I was on a mission for a hoodie and I found one that I liked, but I dont usually purchase clothes at Disney. And I also buy a new pin or two each time I go to add to my collection. I was also on a mission for cups last time, so I found a Pirates cup and a Cars cup that I liked. But again, I dont usually buy cups at Disney.

Based on a common sense approach, that should work. Unfortunately whenver I hit the World Showcase (espcially during the F&W Fest), I tend to start drinking around the world and my attention span regresses to that of an infant. ie. I become distracted by shiny or colorful moving objects, and have to hit the bathroom every 30 minutes.

Last trip was during F&W fest of '07, and I was al ready to get my Stein, but by the time I made it to Germany, I became mezmerized by the pickle ornaments and toy trains. Later in the week I figured I'd take care of things, but ended up in the Rose & Crown for longer than expected and forgot all about my stein again.

For the next trip, I'm writing a note to myself in permanent Sharpie on my forehead, "Ask me about my Stein" !

Okay... instead of having that written across your forehead and being in photos* that maybe someone wouldn't want in there... How about a sticky note at eye level when you go out the door of room AND make a b-line to Germany get the stein, have it shipped to room, and enjoy the beverages from there. Then you can look at the pickles and trains :)

*granted there is photoshop to fix things like that

What's funny is that I WOULD write on my forehead and hit the parks. If I'm on vacation having a good time, I usually have no shame. Typically the last words out of my friends and families collective mouth is "I can't believe you just did/said that!" My philosophy is that it takes a little insanity to keep sane in today's world.

The on-site room shipping will eventually be my saving grace. Next time I'm down (which may be F&W '09), will be a B-line to Germany along with shipping to my resort.

Mugs, oh my gosh the mugs. I've scaled it back some because my cabinets are ready to burst! I use the mugs, too, I don't really display them. I also collected magnets from each resort/ place I'd been to, but I quickly found out that not every resort has its own magnet, so I put that one on the back burner.

I'm a simple trading pin guy, this past year:
25yr pin for Epcot
Star Wars Weekends
a Free pin for Keys to the Kingdom tour (MK)
a Free pin for Wild by Design tour (AK){Cooler of the two freebies}
Plus there is always the fun of pin trading with CMs!pixiedust:

26/F here.

Mickey Mouse shot glasses and matching coasters.
Rock N Roller Coaster ride photo.
Twilight of Tower hotel bell.
Port Orleans luggage tag (needed it anyway).

Kind of spent more than I meant to. But hey, the luggage tag was only $2.
