Hi...new to boards. We were about to buy into WLV, but my husband wants to wait for BCV. Does anyone know if there is a wait list or if Disney is taking deposits? Also, when is it scheduled to open? Thanks.

There has been a lot of discussion about the BCV (you might do a "search" on this board)- but little information is available from DVC.

They are currently under construction with an expected opening of Fall, 2002. There are no pre- orders being taken, but you can certainly call your vacation guide and let them know you are interested, but until the resort is cleared for sales there can be none and DVC can't even discuss the resort until it is declared into the program. Thanks for the quick response! My husband is concerned that the WLV won't be that popular. Any idea on how their selling? We may try to find a BWV resale since we like the boardwalk and beach atmosphere.

The VWL are expected to sell out quickly, mostly because it's so small, so there isn't much available to begin with! (I think it's only 136 units)
We own at OKW now, and we're waiting for BCV to buy more!! :) :) :)

Like you, we are very interested in BCV. VWL are selling very well, I think they have 210 units or so. But the real issue for us was that we really prefer to stay in BW/BC area. You could be waiting a couple of years by the time you're actually able to be in BCV and perhaps quite a price increase. We opted to buy BW resale and add on when BCV are available.
