Booked and Paid for Trip

The last time I posted, I told evryone about the death of my husband in October and was wondering if I should go on our anniversary trip in May that we had planned together. I have decided to go, but I really need to get away from here for a bit, so I booked an 8 day trip with a friend and we are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge. I am looking forward to this trip but It will also be bittersweet as is understandable.
Has anyone stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge and if so, were you happy with the Resort? We are staying in a Savanna room and will be there Jan. 9th through Jan. 16th.:)

I have never stayed at AKL, but I did want to give you a hug for deciding to go on this trip. I think I remember your post awhile back. I think this is a great decision for you to go and I think it will help with your healing process.
