Okay so I booked everything months ago, my husband and I arrive at POFQ on Saturday. In a very timely conversation today my husband asks how the dining plan works, he thought we booked the dining plan and is now bummed because I didn't book the dining plan. Can you add the plan when you check in to your resort?:worship: Please help

Sorry - I think you're too late. I believe it needs to be added 72 hours in advance.

Not sure if general reservations have the same hours as the Dining Line - if they do you should still be able to call Disney directly right now to find out straight from the horses mouth.

You are most likely too late. You cannot make changes to your package within three days of checkin - and you can't do it at the resort.

I was able to add it at check in last year, but a manager had to be called. I'm sure they don't do it on a regular occasion, but I was near to tears....and they took pity on me.;)

It needs to be added 72 hrs prior to check in.You can try to throw yourself on the mercy of the front desk Cm.They may or may not be able to help you.

Doesn't hurt to try. Good Luck.

I am trying it for the first time. I am happy I did because my trip is paid for and money is tighter than I thought it would be this year.

I bet someone got in trouble when they added it at check in and that mistake most likely was not repeated. If someone does it once, I suspect they don't do it again once the error quickly catches up. ;) Just a guess of course.
Anyway -- 72 hours prior to arrival is the rule. And I would not count on being able to add it at this point.
If any adult in your party is a WDW AP you could buy the TiW membership at WDW. That gets you 20% at sit down, and most counter services at resorts.

Sorry, as the others said, you are too late.

Here's a thread from someone just back that confirms this:

And as an aside, I wouldn't want to prepay for the dining plan and then get stuck without having anywhere to eat because I didn't make enough ADRs. It's probably better not to add it at the last minute.
