You can book a room-only 500 (or is it really 499?) days out.

I believe the policy is 365 days in advance, but you will be subject to the price increases, etc. when the actual prices for 2010 come out. You will pay a one night deposit at current price, 2009 rates I would guess, on the room to secure the ressie if you book it before the 2010 rates come out. That's the way we've done it the last few years, b/c we always book before the rates for the next year come out.

I didn't realize that, I was told that it was only for RV's at the campground that you could book that far out....who knew!

You can book at the 499 point but the rate is not guaranteed.

Nope, been there, done that. In early July, 2006, I made ressies for our Thanksgiving trip in November 2007. 499 days out. They had me pay a deposit that was the 2006 price I believe at that time, it was subject to change. I did get my AAA discount once those rates came out too. :thumbsup2 Mind you, I had been planning from 635 days out...
