We were supposed to be leaving for WDW this Sunday for eight days, but our trip was cancelled due to economic reasons. When we broke the news to our three DDs I told them I would use my Disney cookbook that I got off ebay or other resources such as Dis to make a Disney dinner. This way we can pretend we are at WDW.
I am asking for your help on creating a dinner for our trip that never was. Even though I would like to try new things, we had reservations for the Boma, my girls are kind of picky. Any suggestions on things your children liked when you go? I am also looking for ideas on recipies for snacks you can get there too. Thanks:worship:

So sorry your trip got cancelled:grouphug: The Disney recipe exchange has loads of recipes. I've never eaten at Boma but I'm sure others will have suggestions:thumbsup2

I would suggest the Disney recipe thread also. There is a separate index that you can look thru and pick out recipes (there are many from Boma).
You can see if their favorite food is listed and surprise them or have them help cook the dish.

I'm so sorry about your trip! :( I know how sad I would be if we had to cancel a trip. We haven't been there since 2001 and we often make things we've had or heard about just to humor ourselves. ;) Some of our favorites are listed in the thread for which greeneyes so kindly provided links:
Flank Steak Marinade - Boma
Potatoes with Afritude - Boma
Strawberry Banana Bread - Wilderness Lodge
White Meat Marinade - Polynesian
Crisp Rice Sushi - Contemporary
Cured Pork Loin with Coconut Curry Sauce (not very spicy & I serve on the side) - Boma
Durban Spiced Roast Chicken Salad - Boma
Frunch - Boma
Nut Crusted Fish - Boma (my recipe called for pre-ground spices rather than the seeds as listed in the thread - I just toast them briefly in a skillet on top of the stove...until they begin to release their fragrance)
Wilderness Lodge French Toast (similar to Tonga Toast, but with blueberries instead of bananas)
Parmesan Potatoes - Chef Mickey's (or any of the breakfast potatoes are good with dinner as well)
Can you see a pattern here? :lmao: The whole fmaily loved Boma, so most of our favorites are from that restaurant.
