A new one just came out. It is updated with a bunch of the new carts, but also some new features. The big one this time...

You can delete parts of an image!

So let's say you are working on a Disney character paper piecing, and two colors are on the same function, so you have to cut everything out twice to get the colors you need, and you end up with extra pieces. Now you can load it up in CDS, and delete the pieces you don't need to cut, and just cut the pieces you need!

In your CDS, select Help and "Check for Updates." It will load the download page in your browser. It still says the last update was in August, but a new one is available.

Also, SCAL still works with this update, according to reports.

Ooh, that's an awesome update! Thanks for the heads up (I'm so behind at the Cricut board!)

Thanks for the news. I try to keep up on the Cricut board, but I usually spend too much time seeing what everybody is making, and not reading what I need to! :) Hopefully, this new update will help with the freezing of the cutting and shutting down of the CDS that the other update caused.

I am not happy with the new update. I was playing with it last night making a hamburger from Locker talk many colors all in one button. It was just easier to do it the old way.
I also have a pazzles and it's version of that is so much easier. With pazzles, you highlight each section in a different color (so with the burger, brown for the meat, tan for the bread, red tomato, green lettuce, etc) and then tell it to only print the green parts. it will only cut the lettuce piece.
With the cricut you have to "un-highlight" everything on the page except for what you want (aka the lettuce) cut that, then unhighlight it and highlight the bun. It might be easier if I didn't drag the image to make it larger and I could just make multiple pages of a standard size, one for each color.
