I used the dining plan in April and am planning on using it again next year. My kids will be 3, 5 and 8, so all now on the kids plan. I have heard that "people" have ordered things that were not on the menu for kids...such as grilled cheese? Can anyone give me more info on this? What kinds of food? Were you on the dining plan etc... Two of my kids don't eat pasta AT ALL and 2 others don't eat hot dogs. Help!!!

Twice they have made my son a grilled cheese at Le Cellier...not on the menu. It was DE-LISH-US. :)

I have heard (cannot confirm from experience though) that at O'hana they will make Grilled Cheese or Chicken Fingers. My kids are picky too...I am also looking for options wherever possible.

I am hoping to go to Le Cellier so that would be great info:) Thank you.
Its so hard when the WDW kids menus mostly have 2 choices which is crazy.

Hope you get better server than we did @ O'hana. My 3 yr. old would not eat anything there, and our server when asked for a different option told me she needs to eat this food.

I was really pleased with the improvemements in the kid menus at our July trip. Each TS place seems to have a kid pre-plated selection that contains all the food groups and somewhat follows the theme of the restaurant. Obviously it's on the DDP, but is also a great price.
At 50s Prime Time it was a chicken breast, green beans, yougurt, something starchy, and a dessert. At Coral Reef it was white fish, rice, vege. All very good.

DDs are vegetarian, and I think that they could make a grilled cheese anywhere that I asked (at one TS place, it was cheese melted on a burger bun, but she was still happy).
I'll second the Le Cellier grilled cheese - best grilled cheese EVER. (DD had an inside out english muffin with a white cheddar.)

Nice server. I hope that you didn't tip this server well.
To the OP, have you seen menus? http://allears.net/menu/menus.htm

I would think that table service restaurants will be more accomodating than counter service. I did hear that several places, including Pinocchio Village Haus (MK) and Pizzafari (AK) have added pizza to their kids' menus - finally!

My son has food allergies, so when we sit down to eat, they always call out a chef to come speak to him. They are usually so kind! They tell him what they have that is safe, then ask what he wants them to make for him. Talk about service! At Boma, they made him special grilled salmon on skewers of sugar cane, with plain rice, at Coral Reef they made him plain grilled chicken, I forget where else, but they always accomodate him so nicely!
I think for other needs, like vegetarian, or pickier eaters, they will help find something nice.

Disney is always wonderful about allergies. It is a courtesy to the staff to notify them of this special need when you make the ADR. MOST of the time, they are good about picky eaters, but as above, there can be some "rotten apples" out there.
