Hello:wave2: and welcome to my first attempt at a trip report! You will be following me on my first visit to the most magical place on earth! This might be a little long, but I promise my joy and happiness will make up for it!

WARNING : there will be MANY pictures to follow! I have them, might as well use them right?!!!

First the characters you will encounter, and a little background info on all of us!!!

Jeff is my sister’s boyfriend. He introduced her to the magic when they graduated from college with a surprise trip! They live together in SC, having left Maine many moons ago to work as physical therapists. Jeff and I have always been more than a little cold tword each other. This trip is meant to allow us to “get to know” each other a little better.

Andrea and I are as close as close comes. We are six, count them six years apart. Having been offered an amazing job in SC, she left me and Maine a few years ago. I had been to SC to visit a few times, and she home, but only for weddings and a funeral. We were in need of some sister bonding time BADLY.

20 years old, life long Disney lover. Never had been to “THE WORLD.” I am a poor college student, working as a RA in my dorm at school. By the time March came around I was badly in need of some vaca time! I was counting down the days from the time that we started planning. Just started dating a new young man in January before the trip. (This is important later I swear) You will see where the Little Beth comes from easily, both my sister and I are smaller.

We are all from Maine. However Andy and Jeff left for SC a few years ago. This trip was a chance for them to share the Disney magic with me. There were some rules though when it was decided that we would go.

1) Beth couldn’t ask questions.
2) Beth isn’t allowed to know when where and why
3) If Beth wants to do something all she must do is ask. If at all possible it will be done.
4) Jeff must take as many pictures of Beth and Andy together as they want, and must not complain.
5) NO cellphone in the parks

1-3 Stem from my very strong need to be in control at all times. I need to know where I am going when I am going there and how I am getting there. This trip was meant for me to experience the magic in all ways possible. My sister is the most amazing woman I know and spent hours planning, and replanning this trip until it was what I now know is the perfect first timer’s trip.

Getting there!!!

So it is decided that spring break 08 will be spent with the mouse! This is decided in October and soon the surprises and TINY bits of information start coming. First comes the guide book. Color pictures and just enough descriptions to get me super excited. This is where the game of guessing where we are staying comes into play. Every few days I would ask my sister a different place, and I never came close!!!!!

All the while I was working as much as possible, and picking up babysitting whenever I could. I knew that this was going to be amazing. If only I knew what were where doing!!:laughing:

The plan

Fly to SC and stay with my sister for a few days, then drive from SC to Disney strait through. This driving was done by Jeff, who had done the haul with a my sister a few times a year now.

Flight down was one of the reasons I hate flying delay delay delay, and when I arrived in SC the weather was great. I will spare you the boringness of this part of the trip!

Day 1 in Florida

But not in Disney!!!!!!!

We pull into the Radisson Celebration pretty late. We will spend tonight, tomorrow and tomorrow night here. This is to allow Jeff to rest up, and give Andy and I day to catch up before the trip. It was pouring when we arrived, and we had a ton of luggage, as you can see here

Yes Andy is saying don’t take a picture of me looking like this, and of course being a good little sister not only did I take the picture, but now I am posting it for all to see!

The resort was beautiful, but we all headed to bed knowing we would need the rest in the up coming days.
The next morning is rainy and cold by Florida standards. Being the Mainer that I am I thought it was quite nice!!!!!
We spent the day exploring the lobby, pool, and playing the games they had pool side. Here you will see the start of the extreme number of pictures I took this trip

This is some kind of duck that was just standing around for a while. We sat and watched it as my sister and I called home and spoke with our dad. He is a bit of a bird guy, but had no idea what we were talking about as we tried to describe it. It could be that we had no idea what we were talking about:rotfl2:

Pool area. There were two pools. One had a slide and was unheated. Even being from Maine I wasn’t going near that thing, as the wind was picking up. So we went to the heated pool and took a dip.

This was the most relaxing day of the trip and was a ton of fun. Not as much fun as Disney, but a ton of fun.
We went and did some shopping at the wacky places that are shaped like sandcastle and mermaids and such. Didn’t buy much, Andy said to save my money, as I would find much better stuff later in my trip.

We headed to bed early knowing tomorrow would be early. My issue with this Just tell me why tomorrow would be early PLEASE!!!!!!

My sister proceeds to wake me up VERY early. I won’t say the time it is so early it is vulgar. You should know for reference for the rest of the trip, I am not fun or easy to wake up. I am a morning person once I am up, but getting me up is a scary thing.

I get in and out of the shower finish packing up my stuff, and we are on our way. On our way where, well that is a good question and I would like to know the answer as well, but no I have to wait until we turn into the driveway of : Old Key West.
Wait what? I don’t understand when we were playing the guessing game I didn’t even look at the DVC places. This would explain why it was that I never guessed where we were staying lol.
We pull up to the nice security guard lady, she says “welcome home” ~ well I like the sound of that!!!

Security “Name please”
Andy “Ourlastnamethatiamnotputtinginhere”
Security looks at list twice “I’m sorry could you spell that please”
Andy “Notspellingourlastnamehere”
Security “I’m sorry you are not on our list.”

I thought my sister was going to pass out. However being the obsessive Disney planner she is she has all of the paperwork in her bag

Andy “This shows our reservations for today”
Security “I’m so sorry, Welcome Home”

And she opens the gates……… We go up to the Hospitality House where we walk into the lobby and I find my first pressed penny machine!

The first thing Andy does is take me to the counter and ask for a first trip button. I put it on and then. I am told to stay away from the check in counter to preserve any surprises. I wander around looking at the books, the old cartoons on the TV, go outside and look around……. Why is this taking so long. I go back in and my sister is standing at an empty desk. At this time she tells me to go back outside. I know this isn’t a good thing. AT ALL
I can see her through the glass doors and know that she is not happy.

What had happened: When the switched the computer system over our names and reservations had transferred but non of our information. This meant that none of our dinning plan info was linked to our room. There were other issues that my sister wouldn’t go into as this was my first trip and I wasn’t allowed to know anything! ( I found out later my sister was the most upset because she feared we would miss our ADR, the manager called ahead and told them what had happened and they still sat us!)

This all took over an hour to straiten out, but when they were done our room was ready. We booked it to the room, and then my sister yanks me toward the busses. At this point I decided that I like not know what was going on. It was more fun to guess!

A AK buss pulls up, I look at my sister she shakes her head. I step back. A MK bus pulls up I look at my sister she grabs my hand smiles and pulls me onto the bus. I get on the bus and look around. It hits me OMG I am in Disney. We get to MK and I look around in complete amazement. I start to walk toward the gates and yet again I get my hand grabbed and am pulled another way. We jump onto the monorail and are off! We zoom to the Contemporary where she gets me off the monorail and grabs my hand again. (yea we hold hands a lot we are super close and never see each other) She pulls me down the stairs and to CHEF MICKY.

We get our plate picture taken and head to the table. I set my stuff down and go to the little princess’s room. When I come back there is something waiting for me

My mom had gotten a basket delivered. Inside was a set of ears with my name on them, a signature book and pen, plus some yummy snakes! Thanks Mommy!!!! I put on my ears and looked around me almost overwhelmed with how excited I was. It was discussed and decided then and there that I would be acting like I was 5. Then end.
The stitching that was used to put my name on my ears was the Disney font, all week people were stopping me in the park to ask me where I had gotten it done!

I got very into the characters and getting autographs as well as pictures! This also was some of the best food I had on the trip! I loved the whole thing!

Now that is the way to start a Disney trip. I can’t say enough good things about CM!!! This is also the first time Jeff and I start to make some sort of connection. Maybe this guy isn’t so bad after all, or is he?

This is one of my favorite pictures from the trip. My sister is my best friend, and being so far apart has been really hard for both of us. I am so thankful to her and Jeff for all the time, money and effort they put into this trip for me.

Having been a lurker on the DIS I knew to bend down and see the crown rest on Cinderella’s head. My sister was impressed!

Then we were off to Big Thunder Rail Road!!!!!!!!!! It was walk on. Yea my first ever Disney ride and I walk on. This is my sis’s favorite ride and we had a blast. Most of the trip Jeff let Andy and I sit together! On we go to splash mountain, where I get wet and whiny. Yea I whine. I should also take the time to tell you that of all the rides at Disney Splash scared me the worst. I am terrified of the dark, and no one warned me that there is a moment of pitch back in Splash. Scared the heck out of me!!!

On to Tom Sawyer’s island! We wandered around all the caves and had a ton of fun. Yes I even have a picture!

This was a super fun time. I loved the silly jokes. We had a very funny woman skipper that made the whole thing great!

We did the Swiss family’s house and outside, while eating my first Micky Head Ice cream I made my first pin trade. This became one of my favorite things, searching the CMs for Ariel pins everywhere we went!

At this point Jeff and I are even joking a bit. Could it be that all this time I was wrong??????????

Next Up : Meeting Ariel would I be able to speak?

If there is anyone out there reading along I hope it all making sense and not putting you to sleep :goodvibes

Remember the rules? I loved the one about me getting to do anything I wanted as long as there wasn’t a good reason not to I used the rule for the first time on the first day:

The only character that I was willing to stand inline for was Ariel. She is the strongest of all the princess, as she is the one doing the saving! I loved this movie as a child, and in my dorm room is a little mermaid fish tank. And besides that I am at Disney world and I am going to meet the princesses and that this that. :banana:

Some of the mother’s around us were having heart attacks when their children came back soaked. One girl was in a sopping wet princess dress and looked miserable. We stood in the line, for a while, but not too long. It was the longest line that we stood in all week.

This experience was well worth the wait in line. It was one of the highlights of the trip, and I loved it! When I went in March (This was Sunday) there was a PhotoPass Photographer inside that took many pictures of first the three of us (Andy Me and Ariel) Then of just Ariel and I! I left walking away feeling the Disney magic deep in my heart!!! pixiedust:

I loved my luggage as well. I was looking on line at it, and my mother got really angry and I didn't understand, it turns out what I was looking at and talking about ordering was what my sister had already bought for me!

This was a fun and cute show and I loved every moment of it. It was also a nice break as we had been going strong since breakfast. It was great to sit down and rest!

Yes I know my ears are on backwards!

We did ride the Haunted Mansion! This is soooo fun and they let all three of us cram into the doom buggy so it looked like the ghost was on top of me. Even with all the dark I was ok, most of the ride was dark, but never pitch black, and I could feel sissy next to me. I loved all the detail in the ride and wished we could have gotten back to it, but we had so much to do!!!!

I love how I am so into it, Sis is into it, and Jeff is standing there. The photographer said look scared! Now look scared!

Wishes. WOW.
I stood next to my sister and we wrapped our arms around each other. About half way through I stared to cry. I never thought that I would make it to Disney, and I never dreamed that I would get to share it with my best friend. I was so happy and thankful to be there and just so moved. This became my favorite moment of the trip.

Because of the fear of the dark I choose to sit out on Stitch, but we waited for Jeffery to ride. We were well into the extra magic hours at this point and I was getting tired and cranky!

I was fading VERY quickly. Like I wana go to bed now or I am going to have a melt down like a 5 year old in the store.
But we still had the Laugh floor to do!
Jeff got made fun of for having “4 ears” as he was wearing his ears. He even got to answer a joke. I love the whole “that guy” concept. This show is a must do!

At this point I was done. I had to get some rest or tomorrow wasn’t going to be any fun. We headed back “home” I got back and called the new boyfriend. Talked to him for all of 2 minuets and crashed. Haha that’s good for a budding relationship right?

What will tomorrow bring? Will I see more princesses. There hasn’t been much princess time and I was getting a little whiny about it! O and we better get to eat something yummy!

I loved the last update! That was so sweet about watching Wishes with your sister. I'm planning a trip with my boyfriend right now, but I'd love to take my sister some day! (She's 13, I'm 20).

Don't you just hate how tired you get by the end of the day? You want to stay up and be at disney as long as possible, but it's exhausting!

DAY 2 (Monday)

The phone rings

Andy “Munchkin grab that”

What a way to start the day. I still wasn’t impressed due to the lack of sleep. I like to sleep. A lot. Like I will go to bed at 11 and get up at 9 kinda sleep. You know how much sleep it takes to be this happy all the time?
Anyway

I get out of bed and move to the shower. While I am using the Micky soap Jeff makes me some oatmeal. We did breakfast in the room everyday to save our meals for later on.
Andy walks in while I am in the shower and says don’t forget sunscreen!

As I start brushing my hair I realize that I have a sunburn. Not on my nose, not on my ears.....On my part in my hair. My sister had smothered me with sunscreen the day before and I was fine, except the part. As you will see from here on out I go with the pony tail.

As I put the pony tail up Andy ties a bow in it because “Disney is more fun with a bow in your hair.” I truly have the best sister in the world.:cutie:

We get out the door and are off to the bus stop. This is the first morning I notice that it takes forever for the bus to do all the stops in OKW! O yea, the bus I am on ~ Disney Hollywood Studios

We pull up and I get into line like a good girl to have my bag dug through and get a smile when the bag checker sees my 1st visit button!

Truth was, I was scared. I had promised to ride the tower of terror and Rocking Roller Coaster today. Yea nuts I know.

First order of the day then Tower of Terror. Yes I am terrified. I don’t like the dark and this looks dark. Very very dark. Jeff and I are the only two who will be “taking the plunge” Andy doesn’t do this type of thing, and Jeff was excited to have someone to ride with him! So we walk up, all the way into the preshow. OK Jeff is standing next to me and it is dark in here. Maybe he isn’t so bad! We get on.
Me~ Yea you need to move nearer to me.
Jeff ~ Ok
Off we go. It was super fun! I can’t believe I did it. I was scared and nervous and loved it! It went up and the doors opened! What a view from up there.

Ok that was fun on to the Rocking Roller Coaster. This was amazing. Jeff had to talk me down as I was getting really upset as we got into the loading room. But being a great guy he got me on and I am so glad he did. Maybe I even like this guy! Again Andy sat out on this one!

As we were walking in, Andy said she didn't know what to do while we were on the ride. Normally when she is waiting for Jeff on these rides she calls me!

This is the photo pass guys asking if Andy wants to be in the picture. I told him no just me and my brother, we were the only ones brave enough to ride! ~Wait did I just say my brother?~

I'm loving your TR! You look like you are having a blast! I am glad you tried to face your fears and get on rides that scare the bejeezus out of you...I was 24 the first time I went on ToT....but I ended up loving it! :)

I felt like such a nerd though. I wasn't scared of the fall on the TOT or the upside down on the r&rc I was afraid of the dark. :rotfl2: I just needed someone there that understood

I can't wait to eat at Cosmic Ray's - I remember it from my trip in 1997. I'm glad you rode ToT and Rockn' Roller Coaster - ToT is my fav ride. I never thought of the dark parts before til you mentioned it on some of the rides but glad you were brave ;)

She treated me to the hotel, but I paid for my plane, Dinning plan and park tickets. The rest (hotel, planning, and special surprises including some meals) she cover. I know I am so lucky to haver her!

I don't know if you have read the TR about the sister's that didn't speak for a week after. That one is one of my favorites, if I had acted like the sister in that one my sis might have hurt me:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I understand the dark thing...I took my 7 year old on ToT and he was ok with everything but the dark. He HATED it.

I read that TR....I would have left that sister behind the first day! Don't mess with me at Disney!!!

I am so sorry to hear he hated it! I know for me as long as I have someone close I will be ok, it just really freaks me out sometimes. There is nothing worse than being in the happiest place on earth and being terrified.

What a fun show. At first I was worried that they wouldn’t have enough time to tell the whole story. They did an amazing job. I love the live music, and the talent they have here is great. We were sitting in front of the cutest little girl. We ended up seeing the family later in the day. It was almost as fun to watch her reaction to the show as it was to watch the show.

This was a very funny joke for me to play on my boyfriend. He is in the Army National Guard. I gave him this picture and told him I had found a real army man. He wasn’t impressed. :confused3

The line to meet the toy story guys was just way too long to think about. Not only was the ling long, but they had just gone on a break. We walked around and found this little penguin on the toy cart near here. When you squeezed it it shook and laughed. For some reason all three of us thought this was the funniest thing we had ever seen. Jeff recorded it onto his phone we were all so amused by it. :laughing:

Grumpy is the fanny pack Jeff is wearing. At first when we were talking about what kind of park bag I would get I wanted a princess fanny pack. I don’t know what it is about Disney that makes fanny packs ok, but I like it. When I couldn’t find one I decided on my bag, which was good in the long run with my ear obsession! Grumpy was the place that held everything of importance. Our tickets, room keys, everything. Grumpy never leaves Jeff’s body. This is one of the best things anyone can do. I loved my back pack for ears, lanyard with pins and sweatshirts, but I would never dare to leave anything of value in a backpack!

Under the hat is the pin store as you all know. I love this place. Pins became on of my favorite things about the Disney parks. Where else in the world can you walk up to someone you don’t know and ask them to trade something with you? I loved the thrill of the hunt, and the interaction that came from asking people to trade with me. By the end of the week I had more than a lanyard full. I stopped wearing it because it became too heavy!

We went on and had lunch I think at Backlot Express. It’s the one with all the neat stuff hanging on the walls. I had the Turkey sandwich and chocolate cake with a frozen something cherry to drink I think. Very very yummy. I am sad that I didn’t take many food pictures on this trip. I know better for next time and will be a good DISer and do so.

This is another time I would like to say how much I loved the dinning plan. I would never get dessert with meals like this if it wasn’t included. I loved all the food I at that week, and can’t imagine what I would have done without that plan.

We asked a photo pass person to take our picture in front of the theater, but they told us they were not allowed to. The owner of the theater the one at HS is modeled after won’t allow them to take and sell pictures of people in front of it. But he did take on with my camera!

And then asked me why I didn’t have one of her pins. She noticed that I was wearing a lanyard, but had none of her on it and insisted I correct this immediately. They were also handing out temporary tattoos celebrating the release of 101 Dalmatians soon! She was the most interactive character that I met on the trip! What a hoot!

We watched the Muppets Movie, not as good as Philhar Magic, but still fun! I even looked when he hit the wall at the end! I love how they have the grumpy men in the room with you to!

We rode the great movie ride! I was NOT a fan of the alien room at all. However I loved all the stuff in the queue line. It was fun to have something to look at in the tiny line.

The Voyage of the Little Mermaid was wonderful!!! I loved the show. However there was one of those people in my show. You know the ones who think the no flash photography rule is for everyone but them. The CMs working the show were great though. The second the flash went off they were all over the person. However they did it during the under the sea number, and it took some of the magic away to see the people on the stage. I loved the effect though of the black light and dancing fish!

And we are off again! Still on a quest to squish pennies wherever we go! I am happily squishing a penny, when Jeff says come here now. There were Mike and Sully! With only one person in line to meet them!!!! Sully chased my sister all around the room it was the funniest thing I have ever seen. I was laughing so hard. They were very funny and super playful!

We wandered around looking in all the shops, Andy bought a cute pink sweatshirt and I bought a pin for the new boyfriend.

This was also the day where I got my third pair of ears! I was looking at the princesses ears while we were in a store. I decided that I didn’t need them. Andy and I kept walking and looking at things, next thing I knew Jeff walked up to me and handed them to me. My Jeffery had bought me my princess ears. They became my favorite ears, the ears I wore for the rest of the week.

When my sister was planning the trip she told me that if there were any restaurants that I knew I wanted to eat in I needed to tell her. The only one that I had found that I really wanted to try was the Prime Time 50s Café. I was so excited to try this as I had heard many fun things about this place.

We went in and were sent to the living room to wait. While we were waiting I think Andy called home to say hi to Dad. We waited around for just a little while and then were lead to our seats. We didn’t get a seat with a TV but this was right across from us

Our uncle Tim came in and took our drink orders. We were on the dining plan but Andy and Jeff decided to have something from Dad’s bar so I got a soda and a smoothie thingy. It was soooooooooooo yummy (strawberry)!

Uncle Tim was sorta funny. He gave me a hard time about my elbows on the table, but the Aunt across the way was so funny to watch. She was giving people homework and making sure they ate all their vegetables. I ordered the meatloaf. It was very yummy. Big portions, but I was starving and ate the whole thing, plus a desert (Brownie Sunday)!

*Just a general questions How many times a day do they really need to run High School Musical. We spent what felt like the whole day running away from the singing and dancing and the float. I swear the stupid thing was chasing us.*

After an amazing dinner we head out to Fantasmic! But on the way stop for a few pictures.

Now on to Fantasmic! While we were waiting for the show the whole place was doing the wave! It was great it would go back and forth and back and forth. We were seated really close in the middle but not too close, so we didn’t get wet.

This show is amazing. I can’t imagine not seeing it if you were in the park for the day. I loved every part of it. Now how about some pictures from the show!!

Day 3 (Tuesday)

Once again I am awoken by Stitch this morning. He and I are not going to be friends if this continues. I jump in the shower while oatmeal is being made. My sister comes in and tells me to wear pink. I love that even though I am going to be surprised and have no idea what is going on, my outfit will be up for the day.

We head out to the bus stop where we jump on the Epcot bus. We take the super long ride around OKW and are on our way. We get to Epcot and get in line with everyone else for bag checks.

We wandered around the leave a legacy area looking for Andy and Jeff’s picture. Once we found it we were off and on our way to soaring. We only waited about ten minuets and we were off soarin!

I know that many people find this ride boring, but I though it was super fun. I loved seeing all the weird plants, and how they grew a whole bunch of the produce that is used at Disney.

We then went and road on spaceship earth! Andy and I rode together and Jeff rode behind us. It was really neat they way that you just go up and up and up. I loved the touch screens in the cars, they made the trip down fun and relaxing.

This ride was the cutest thing ever!!!!!! I love how they have the big blue world song in it as well. I could ride the clamoblies allllllll day. I know the tunnel that turns with the bubbles bothers some people but I loved it! The way that they have the fish swimming in the tanks at the end is really neat as well. When we went through Crush was swimming with a few live turtles!

We went out and explored the aquarium area and then the shark play area.

Love your TR! So far most of your favorite rides are the same as mine. I have always had a special place in my heart for Figment. You gotta have imagination to enjoy the magic of the parks. Have to say however that I have never ridden RNR. Just can't do a rollercoaster. Especially with a loop! Thanks for sharing your trip!:)

OMG I love your trip report. My sissy and I are best friends and separated at the time too:( She is doing the Disney college program and I'm still in school. I just saw her last week, but I started tearing up when you said that you guys hugged during the fireworks. Also I like your idea of bringing a photographer with you, I mean your sister's bf lol. It's great though with the photopass people, you still get a lot of great pictures if you just have a sister trip. I'm glad the three of you had such a fun trip!

I enjoyed reading this. I am a lonely, I mean only child, so i can't relate. But I have 3 girls and I hope they are BFF. They are really close now (especially the younger 2), I jsut hope they always are.

My DH wears a Grumpy fanny pack too (not the same one though). And he also got picked at Laugh floor (the girls loved this). Lots in common... (He was a soldier for a number of years too.)

And my favorite movie (and Princess) is Ariel as is my DH and youngest DD. We named her after Ariel for her middle name and oe of Ariel's sisters for her first name. We love meeting her there and DD6 loves to tell Ariel her name. No matter which "Ariel" we meet she is always flattred that we named DD after her and her sister.

We always meet her in her grotto, but this trip we added dinner at Akerhaus to see her with her legs. That was fun.

So I am in the middle of finals :teacher: and don't have time for a real update so I will just cover a few quick things I forgot.....

:mickeybar = one of the most amazing things in my life. Can't wait to have more! I even saved the wrapper for my scrapbook!

:3dglasses = 3 D glasses that they have there, supercool that they clean them each show. I am a super germ phobe and Disney does and AMAZING job of making people like me feel good in their parks!

Ok so this is officialy the big sister, to all the people who say munchkin and I are cute thank you. To my lovely sister trip report is wounderful but could have left out some of the bad pictures. And just a note I was mad at the front desk on the first day because I had called multiple times the week before to make sure everything was perfect and was reassured it was. To make up for the mistake and time delays though they gave us a $100 credit on our room which we did not ask for. Munchkin I am very proud of you and lucky to have you as my little sister. I will see you in 6 days and counting....

This was such a great experience. I would tell anyone to get the card just so you can get into this meet and greet. The characters spend a ton of time with you, the photo pass guy will take about 10000000000000 pictures, and the line is so much shorter then at the character connection.

Right in front of us was a very funny couple about my sister’s age. They were super funny, and we saw them again a few moments later.

This is where I got confused. I thought she was handing it to me. Nope. Then she put it is salt and moved it to me so I could see, and once again I though she was handing it to me!

I chose to have it put in a cage so we went and looked around the large shop! I found some cute stickers for a friend back home. We walked outside and saw the candy lady from a distance, and then went back to get my pearl!

My sister and Jeff had never caught this show and we were all blown away by the singers. I have a passion for American history so this entire stop was one of my favorite.

Andy asked me if I was getting hungry for dinner, and of course I was. She asked me what I wanted to eat. I knew there was princess dinning here, but having read a little on the DIS I knew it would be full, so I said lets see if we can get into the French restaurant. But she wanted to head to Norway first to ride the log ride.

The troll was very special to us. We lost our stepfather about a year and half before the trip and he collected trolls like the ones we saw in the shop. It was a little upsetting, but at the same time a great memory of Russ.

We rode the log ride, running to get away from the movie at the end! We walked out and stared heading toward France. We got to America and Andrea decides she wants to ride the Norway ride again. WHAT are you kidding me I am starving!

While we were dinning my sister noticed a young man with special needs in the corner who was really enjoying his meal. My sister is a physical therapist and works with many people. Watching him interact with the princesses made her day, and she asked the server if she could by his family their picture pack from meeting Belle.
After dinner we were approached by someone in the restaurant and Andrea was given a set of two tinkerbell pins. It had a note on the back, that we had spread Disney magic, and they wanted to give her one to keep and one to share to pass on Disney magic.!!

She is just an amazing person in all. Last time they were at the world they overheard a couple saying they didn't want to spend too much on dinner to each other, then overheard it was their anniversary, so she bought them dinner. She was on the DDP and had extra and just wanted to share, because that is how she is. I know I am super lucky to have her.

Last time they were at the world they overheard a couple saying they didn't want to spend too much on dinner to each other, then overheard it was their anniversary, so she bought them dinner. She was on the DDP and had extra and just wanted to share, because that is how she is. I know I am super lucky to have her.

Yea, I didn't realize it was that bad till I was putting it into the report.:lmao: I love that you can really feel like you are meeting the characters, not that you aren't;) The princesses were all my age or just a few years older though, so when that happened I felt really stupid after

I now officially love meeting face characters. I've only ever met one and that was Aurora in France (in EPCOT, lol) and she was so great with her character. I wish we'd had time for more but whatcha gonna do? :confused3
And I'm gonna let you in on a little secret about the age factor and being at Disney. My MOM felt honored meeting Aurora. Literally, she was on :cloud9: after metting with her. Disney is ageless.

I now officially love meeting face characters. I've only ever met one and that was Aurora in France (in EPCOT, lol) and she was so great with her character. I wish we'd had time for more but whatcha gonna do? :confused3

Just wanted to jump in and say that I'm reading your trip report and enjoying it :thumbsup2 . I am in the process of my first trip report too, and I know it's hard when no one is responding.

I'm loving all of your pictures, and I love seeing you and your sister together. My girls are 5 years apart, and I hope they will be as close as you are. It's hard right now because DD #2 is only 1 and DD #1 gets frustrated sometimes, but I really want them to be best friends.........I think because I'm an only child and missed out on that growing up.

Thank you for responding, I will have to take a peek at your report! Thanks for letting me know you love the pictures, I have a billion and figure someone might see something they were wondering about, weather is was what pose to do in front of the hat, or something in the background they always wondered about.
As for Andy and I I must confess :
We didn't always get along, but we grew closer as we grew up and now I can't imagine my life without her.

I just saw that you are back. I'm all caught up and waiting for more. Your sister sounds very kind, (BTW, welcome TheBigSister!).

Can't wait for more! (Side note, at Aherhaus in november our photo package was free, is it not anymore??? Too bad if it isn't, that was a great deal!)

ok I am not getting a big head but those are very nice things you wounderful people have said about me. All I have to say is: my sister and I grew up without alot of money and I know how magical it is to get to go to Disney. So whatever I can do to make it more magical for others also makes it more magical for me. I am thankful that I have a good job and a wonderful sister and I never want to take that for granted. I work long hours in a hospital and don't do much outside of there but am always looking forward to Disney "my special place":cloud9: , and as my boyfriend says "Work hard play hard":banana:

I am loving your trip report but am I the only one that had the end of MGM day cut short and the beginnning of Epcot not there? You were at Nemo when it started. I wanted to hear how you were woken up that day. Doesn't Stitch start to irritate after a few early mornings?

I also need to comment on the age thing with the characters. I saw Mary Poppins with my mom when it first came out. She died shortly after that when I was 12. Mary Poppins has always held a special spot in my heart. Fast forward to me being 45 and meeting her in the park. I could barely talk to her I was crying so much.....I was trying to explain to her but I am sure she thought I was a crazy person out on a pass for the day :lmao:

There might be a quicker or better way but this is what I do.

1)Click on the number in the top left corner of your chapter.

2) It will pop up as a window than copy the website address and close the window.

3)Go to your first post and click edit in the bottom left corner. It should go into edit mode where you can add/delete anything.

4)Then just paste it into the writing where ever it makes sense to you.

Ok after the tooooo long hiatus onward to

Day 4!!!

So stitch wakes me up again, and I eat some more oatmeal! I go to get dressed and realize that I am almost out of tank tops! So of course I go and steal a tank top out of Andy’s bag!!!
We head out the door, and jump onto the Animal Kingdom bus!! I had guessed that was where we were headed as it was the last park to visit.

Now due to my fear of the dark we decided to skip it’s a bug’s life on this trip. I had read here on the boards that it can get intense, and just didn’t want to chance ruining the day by scaring myself silly.

I did however decided to take on Dinosaur. I was surprised by how bumpy the ride is. I have since seen a Disney special on TV that showed how they make the bumps, and would never have guessed!!!

We wandered around and then headed over to enjoy the safari. I waited in the stand by line, and only waited for about 20 minuets.

I loved the story line on this ride. We chased down the poachers, and then decided it was time for a snack! Over to Pizzasaurs for cheese sticks! These were so yummy, I am sad to hear that they are no longer offering these for a snack credit. We relaxed for a little while, then were off to our next adventure at Animal Kingdom………..

After that adventure it was on to conquer the Yedi!! I LOVED this ride. I think not only the ride its self, but also the queue area are themed so well, and are a great example of Disney magic!!!!

We stopped in the gift shop and I got the new boyfriend a yedi that bends. The yedi is one of the neatest things I bought while there. He is furry but bends to pose!

Animal Kingdom only took us until early afternoon to get though, so we started to head back to Old Key West, but on the way out, I ran into Pocahontas!
