This isn't directly related, but I only have 2.5 weeks of school left!!! And then this summer, I'm taking 2 online classes and then I'M FINISHED!!!!! :yay::yay::yay: I can't tell you how happy I will be. This semester has been tough! I have a huge Spanish oral presentation in an hour and I've been totally stressed about it. Anyway...not really related, but...
When it's over, I can focus more on DISNEY!!!
Hey there! I just read through your entire PTR (I'll admit, some of it I read while at work, hehe! ;) ) and I loved the DOI!!! How fun! I'm going the next time it comes in town. Still working on J to accept the fact that Disney is ok for adults, too.
Congrats on almost being done with school (know I've said that before), but it'll be so nice! I have 2 major papers to turn in by the middle of May, then I can spend a few weeks doing nothing but Disney planning! :woohoo: And I totally plan on creating some sort of Disney binder!! Then it'll be time for summer school! But at least I won't have to work!
Please let me know the next time you guys plan a DIS meet in Dallas! I would love to connect with a few folks from here! So fun!! Good luck on your Spanish presentation!!:goodvibes

Thanks for the good luck wishes everyone!! I was SOOO nervous, but I think the presentation went pretty well. I brought a lot of props (I work with a lady who lived in Argentina--the country I was presenting about), and my professor even asked me to stay for a little while after class so she could look at all of the books and stuff. :thumbsup2 So hopefully that's a good sign! ;) Thanks again! Yall are great!
Great, I'm glad you were able to double check the DVC rental. I know when I sold a guy some leftover lift tickets I had for the local ski hill he called there to make sure the numbers were valid... better safe than sorry!
And good luck with your Spanish presentation! Presentations are always the most nerve wracking. I don't even mind public speaking really, but especially when it's in a different language I always am the most nervous. I'd rather just write a test! And congrats on almost being done school! I remember being there... now I'm getting my accounting designation, so I'm right back at it. :scared: Any plans for more education?
Yeah--I would have just died if we got there and we didn't really have a reservation! :scared: Thanks! I'm so ready to be finished! I went to school as a traditional student for two years. Last year I was in a leadership training program at a camp, but getting credit/taking distant classes at my university. And I moved to OK this past summer and I've been doing online classes/working full-time since August. I'm ready to be finished!! Wow--when do you finish your accounting designation? That's awesome! :thumbsup2 Are you an accountant now? What will getting your designation mean? NOOOOOOOO!!!!! Definitely no more plans for more education!! :scared1: I thought about a masters in counseling at one time, but I just don't think I could deal with more school. I'm a good student, I just don't enjoy it. And with my line of work, it's really not necessary.
I'm so glad your DVC rental is all set!:goodvibes
Congratulations on being done school so soon. What a relief that must be!
I hope your Spanish presentation went well!! If I could say good luck in Spanish, I would.:rotfl:
Thanks! It is a relief! A huge one. Michael and I don't know what we'll do when I'm finished--we'll have all the time in the world! Heck--we'll actually be able to catch The Office on Thursday night instead of having to catch up and watch it online! :rotfl: Haha--I think good luck is "bien suerto" or something like that! ;)
Awesome pics from part II of DOI! I think the next one we go to we will definitely do the one with all the characters like you did! YAHOO for 2.5 weeks of school left! I didn't have any classes this semester, but Dbf is just as excited as you, since he also has 2.5 weeks of school left. Then, we both have our last class, him his independent research project and me the rest of my thesis and then we're done!! :thumbsup2
Thanks! It was awesome to see all of the different characters. It's funny, but Michael liked seeing just one better (when he was a kid) than all of them--he said he liked the entire story instead of a bunch on steroids! I liked all of them. YAYAYAYAYAYAY!!! We're all 3 almost finished! :dance3: Tell your Dbf good luck! I know this last little bit stinks. Oh my gosh we're almost finished! :yay:

Welcome! :cheer2: Haha--I am at work right now! :rolleyes1 I never have enough to do, so I DIS. I know what you mean--but I'm sure J will LOVE Disney once yall are there in August!! And then you can go back when you have kids (if not earlier) and it'll be a completely different experience! Yay for having a couple of free weeks! Good luck with the rest of your papers! It'll feel SOOO good to have them finished! I want to create a Disney binder during my 2.5 weeks off too! Right now, I've got a ton on the computer and a bunch of random printed/scratched up papers. But I want it to be really good. I downloaded some Disney fonts, so I'm excited about that! :woohoo: Yeah! I'll let you know when we meet up in Dallas again. I have no clue when it will be...but hopefully before too long. Heather and I have been throwing around ideas.

Hey Jen! :cheer2: Thanks for reading!! Thank you--he did a really good job! That would be so awesome if we ran into each other!! We might just have to "make sure we run into each other" ;) Those are just tentative plans though...I'm gonna wait for TGM to post the least crowded parks to really decide... :thumbsup2

That's our tentative day too. I'm waiting until they release the official park hours before I make any concrete plans. I'm down for running into each other by accident. :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Well I'm working in accounting now, but just in a lower level position. But once I finally get my designation I can get a bigger better job where I won't *ahem* HAVE TO Dis at work.
But it's not a bad program, it's designed for working full time and taking one class at a time, but that does stretch it out for a long time. I only have a month and a week-ish left of this course. I'm getting married a month today, then 11 days later I have my exam, and 10 days after that we go on our honeymoon! *Phew*
Oh, and I look forward to hearing about your Disney binder!

First of all, CONGRATS on getting married in a month!! :cheer2: So exciting. It's great. And YAY for being almost all finished with getting your designation! And then you'll only have to DIS at work if you want to! :rotfl: I've started a freelance design company, so hopefully someday I'll be able to quit here and just work when I want to... You're so close to being able to just relax with your new hubby! :thumbsup2 Thanks--I'm anxious to have this time off to be able to work on it. I've already been working on 3x5 notecards to take into the parks. I'll have to take pictures when I get them printed.

Thanks for the kind words! And congrats for starting to do freelance work, I hope that works out well for you. (I'm reading a disneyland PTR right now and the writer is a graphic designer too! Weird!)
I looked at that disney binder thread, and those are amazing! I may be feeling inspired... I'll have to see if I get around to it before the trip.

Woohoo, party time after finals! I remember those days.... :)
Of course Oklahoma was awesome! It was great to see so many old college friends, and even to be back on the OSU campus. I have some great memories and even just walking around campus brings it all back! I :lovestruc OSU!

Thanks! I'm excited about it. My business cards should be in by the middle of next week. I'll post a picture of them! :woohoo: I don't know how "all out" I'm gonna go in making a Disney Binder. I pretty much just want to get everything organized in a cute way. b/c I'm a huge scrapbook fan and I'm already thinking up stuff for my Disney scrapbook...so maybe I'll take it a little easy on the binder. :confused3 And I want to get caught up on the last 4 years of my life (scrapbooking) before we go to Disney. Like that's gonna happen!

Well...this isn't much of an update, but I've been itching to update something.
First of all, non-Disney news:
1) I'm almost finished with this semester!! :woohoo: I have an online final due Friday, a Spanish final Friday, 3 more online finals due various times between Friday and Wednesday...and then NO MORE SCHOOL THIS SEMESTER!!
2) I'm registered for my summer classes. One is a 1000 level sociology course (I'm pretty excited about this...it should be interesting) and the other is a 3000 level management course. And then NO MORE SCHOOL FOREVER!!! :dance3: I think you can tell I'm pretty beyond-excited!
3) We're moving! We've been in a tiny 2 bedroom duplex since we got married. It's been a good little first home, but we just have a lot of stuff. Our guest room has turned into a guest/crap room. And my parents own some rent houses/apartments and the one they completely re-modeled last spring has come available! It's a real house (which means I'll have a real yard, real flower garden, real place to put my hammock...endless "real" possibilities) and it's a lot bigger than the one we're in now. It's still 2 bedrooms, but it's got a big living room, a huge walk-in closet/office (yes--it's that big) and a laundry room (with real a real washer and dryer--we've been having to take all of our stuff to my parents' or the laundromat). And everything is only a year old!! The other renters will be out by Saturday, so we're going to help with a coat of fresh paint, and then we can start moving in whenever we want! :woohoo:
Ok now for Disney news:
1) I've been making little notecards for each park! I've had excel documents with TGM info I've collected for a while, but I decided to make 3x5 documents in InDesign with the info on it. So now I can print it on actual 3x5s and laminate them, and we'll be ready for our tips-to-go! I've even included our lunch choices and where we'll eat dinner and an approximate amount we'll need to bring for tips. I can't print them yet, since we're not totally sure about some of the plans--we need to wait for Disney to release times, and then TGM to release ratings...and then we'll be set and ready to go!! I'll post pictures of them when everything is finalized.
2) I've been thinking a lot about the Disney Planning Binder. I want to make sure I document everything really well so that all of the info will be together for our next trip (whenever that may be) or for the next time my parents, aunt, grandparents or anyone else want to borrow it to plan for their trip. I want it to be cute, but more than that, I want it to be really practical. I'm excited to start working on it soon!
3) I'm also excited to finish school so I can be more hard-core (Oh no, you're not hard-core...unless you live hard-core! ;) ) about reading the Disney books I've bought. I haven't even started the Un-Official Guide! And I still haven't finished Birnbaum's Official Guide... So I'm excited to get to reading some more!
Anyway...that's about it. Oh--and we're in the 130's :thumbsup2

And yes! You HAVE to post pictures of your notecards! I may have to steal that idea! :rolleyes1
I totally plan on doing some sort of binder, too. Just not sure where to start (so much information, gonna overload!). I've started gathering a few pics and stuff from the internet, but nothing official....yet! ;)
I'm so glad to hear everything is going well! Keep it up! :thumbsup2

Congrats that your semester is almost over!! We're into finals week now, Dbf has 2, one tonight and one tomorrow and then no more finals ever again for both of us!! And double congrats on the new house! We're moving sometime Aug-Sept and I'm getting super nervous not knowing what state we're be in/what job either of us will have by then, but we're looking into townhomes. Just like a 2 bedroom, a very small yard to have a grill, we have a 1 bedroom apartment right now and I feel like it's closing in on me sometimes with all the stuff we've acquired! Good luck on your last finals!!! :thumbsup2

YAY!! Congrats on being almost finished too! :cheer2: I'm just beyond ready to finish. It's so funny but when I was little, I couldn't wait for the summer to start. Now, I can't wait for it to end bc that means I'll be finished with school, and Disney is around the corner! :thumbsup2 Good luck to you!! I'm not looking forward to boxing stuff up and moving, but I'm so ready to get into a bigger place. I'll for sure post pictures of the notecards once I get them finished!! I love how they turned out. Please, steal away! ;) I know...I don't even know the direction I want to go with the binder...we have time though! Thanks!! Good luck with finishing up teaching and schooling! :thumbsup2

One of our neighbors gets trashier by the day. Today, I walked outside to find 2 rocking chairs, a high chair, all kinds of tools, toys, and tons more junk outside their door. I miss the other people that lived there. Oh well...we don't have to look at it much longer! ;) Good luck finding a new place and figuring out where and everything! Oh my gosh--you will love having a 2 bedroom place! I don't know how we would manage with a 1 room. We've already got crap everywhere!! Thanks!! Good luck finishing everything this summer!! :thumbsup2

I just caught up on your PTR. I loved your mini-TR! We went to Disney for our honeymoon in October of 2007, and had a GREAT time. Before that, I had only ever been in February or April for Mardi Gras week, so it was a nice change. That was before my DIS days, though, so I had no clue about MNSSHP! So we missed out on that, but still had an amazing trip!
I'm looking forward to more. :goodvibes

Aww Staci! Congrats on finishing your semester, almost being done with school, and your new house! These are such exciting and fun times ahead for you. That is wonderful. My DH and I bought our first house last Feb and love every minute of being homeowners.
Oh I wanted to let you know about this. I was getting really nervous that renting DVC point would mean that we couldn't take advantage of the 90 + 10 reservations that normal resort guests do. I kept calling Disney and would never get a straight answer. I posted yesterday on the DVC boards and asked about it and they said they we are still considered resort guests even though it is through DVC and can do the 90 +10. I am sure you probably knew this already but just in case I thought I would share. I mean it makes sense, I dont' know why I thought we wouldn't get to take advantage of that.

My cousin is getting married next weekend, and they're going. My DH and I thought it might be too hectic after all of the wedding hectic-ness...But now I'm SO excited we're going as a sort-of belated honeymoon!! Ooh--Mardi Gras week. Thanks so much!!! I'm so excited about everything. I finish all of my finals (hopefully) on Monday or Tuesday (most are online, so I can somewhat choose). We're still renting this house (we dont know how long we'll be in this town, so we don't want to make the house-commitment) but since my parents own it, we'll pretty much have free reign! I'm excited! :woohoo:
I'm glad you thought to check! It hadn't even crossed my mind that we might not get to take advantage of the 90+10 thing! :thumbsup2 Did you know we're treated like DVC owners? We get special "keys" and get to enjoy all of the DVC perks (like discounts on stuff, etc). If you want me to send you the list, PM me! I was pretty excited to find it out!

My DH and I thought it might be too hectic after all of the wedding hectic-ness...But now I'm SO excited we're going as a sort-of belated honeymoon!! Ooh--Mardi Gras week. I'm sure that was really cool! :thumbsup2 I really liked the fall...I'm excited to go back during that time. :)
We had a GREAT time on our honeymoon, especially since we were there at such a slow time. We had been together before, but it was with my family, so it was a lot of people to accomodate. This was the first time we got to go and be totally on our own in deciding what things to skip, what shows we wanted to see, what rides we wanted to ride 10 times in a row, etc. Plus, we had our Just Married pins on and got a LOT of attention. It was AMAZING!! Your cousin will have an awesome time!! It definitely does not have to be too hectic if you don't want it to be.
We are going in December this year, so I'm excited to be going back at a time of year that is new to us. :goodvibes

oh yeah, definitely post pics of your new place. I'm a real estate junkie. Wow, that sounds like I own a lot of places... but I don't :( Only one. A one bedroom condo! We love it, but it's not very big. Things are just sooo expensive here, but one day we'll move up to something bigger.
I will! We did the official walk-through yesterday, and Michael is deep-cleaning today. Hopefully we'll be able to move things in starting tonight!!! :thumbsup2 You're right--one day you'll have something bigger. I'm excited for the day we can own our own house! :) We'll have to settle down and decide where we're going to live, though.
Oh--and I can't get your link to your PTR to work. Will you send it to me? :confused3

All of the deciding what we want to do/skip/re-do is what we're most excited about too!!! :woohoo: No one to accomodate but ourselves! :thumbsup2 How fun--it sounds like you had such a good time!!! Now I'm even more excited to go. I'll tell my cousin that you said it was great! Wow!! I've always wanted to go in December...Maybe one year. You'll have such a good time!

Thanks!! I'm super, super excited! :woohoo: Have you finished yours yet?
We moved (almost fully in) yesterday!! :dance3: It's so much bigger. I just love it. I haven't unloaded many boxes--I have a feeling it will take a really long time--but I'll take a picture of the outside to post hopefully tonight! I'm taking the night to relax from moving--my cousin has been in town, and she leaves tomorrow morning. So we're gonna hang out! :thumbsup2
I'm so excited to read the UG. It's been sitting on my shelf, unopened, for WAY too long. :sad2: After we finish getting the house in order, hopefully I'll have more time to read it. The Birnbaum book has tons of great pictures, and it has some really good tips, but since it's "official" it's pretty much what Disney wants us to know...ya know? ;) I LOVE tourguideMIKE though. His info is just incredible.
AAHH!! I know. Tomorrow we'll be in the 120s! I can't believe you're already back from your first trip!! I love the TR so far, by the way!

:dance3: We're in the 120s today!!!! :dance3:
I'm so excited! Before long, it will be ADR time! And now that I'm officially finished with school until the beginning of June (YAY!!!! :yay::yay:) I can start reading the Unofficial Guide and start on my planning binder! Michael is going to be gone for 4 days at the end of the month, and I think it will be the perfect time to do some hard-core Disney planning, and scrapbooking (I want to get caught up soon...but I haven't even started college :scared:)
Oh--and we moved in to our new house!!! We have SOO much more room now. Now if I can only get the boxes all put away. But I have a self-induced deadline. I want everything looking great by next Thursday so we can have our youth kids over for an end-of-the-year party! :thumbsup2 So I have motivation.
My cousin has been staying with us since Sunday, and we had a great girls night last night. Let me just say, foundue is a super fun, super girly treat! I'll try to upload pictures. Yummy!!
Oh--and it's pretty much rained every day for the past 3 1/2 weeks here. :sad2: We've had a few partial days that have been pretty, but it's been so yucky for the most part. Well, yesterday was gorgeous! I was SOOO excited. And it was misting this morning, but there's a chance it will turn out pretty. I hope so. Saturday should be rainy. This, believe it or not, would be a great thing for my cousin who is getting married on Saturday. He bought his fiance's ring at a place that gives it to you free if it rains or snows an inch on your wedding day! Anyway, it should be pretty all next week and I'm almost beside myself. I'm SOOO ready for pretty weather!
Sorry...this has been a little random. But my mind is in a million places right now.

Oh my goodness, I know how you feel!! Our company read/heard somewhere that everyone needs to be within x amount of feet from a window. So that means we're all surrounded by windows! I love just looking out and seeing the gorgeous day...but it's torture at the same time! And when it was yucky outside, it was so, so gloomy to be by the windows all the time. I'm trying to think about when/how I can sneak in some sun! ;)

Hey! Yes--it feels so good to be moved in! Tha packing is going great. We have pretty much all of the real stuff (like dishes, books, linens, food) put away, but we haven't started decorating. Our bathroom stuff is still in suitcases in the bathroom floor too! Hopefully we'll start decorating and everything this weekend. Hi everyone!
I need some help. I think I've made my final selections for ADRs. PLEASE give me your feedback! I just recently heard some bad feedback for The Wave, but others love it. And I've heard good and bad about Mama Melrose... Please be brutally honest! And if you have a few other suggestions, let me know. Here goes:
O'Hana's
The Wave
Teppan Edo
Le Cellier
Boma
Mama Melrose
Oh--and for CS, I'm thinking:
Something at Downtown Disney?!--help!
Cosmic Ray's or Columbia Harbor House
Sunshine Seasons
Tangierene Cafe
Pizzafari or the AK picnic
ABC Commissionary, Starring Rolls, or Studio Catering Co.
What do you think?! :confused3

Your ADRs look good, of the TS places you've listed, I've eaten at The Wave, Mama Melrose, and Le Cellier!
Ok, here is my rundown - You can't go wrong with anything at Le Cellier, although if you like mashed potatoes (I love mashed potatoes) and your meal DOESN'T come with mashed potatoes, you should think about subbing your side for them. They are wonderful! The Chedder Cheese Soup is yummy!
Mama Melrose - I would NOT recommend the fettuccine alfredo. It was kinda dry. My Dad swears to never eat there again. I, however, thought that the other meals looked and tasted good, especially the chicken parm. With a little more alfredo sauce, the fettuccine would have been good too. (I think Dad was just in a bad mood that day, it is just unfortunately one of the things I remember).
The Wave - I was afraid (as were several of the waitstaff members) that Disney missed the mark with this one. From what I've seen of the menu on allears.net, however, it seems they have changed the menu up a bit. I don't know, I typically don't think that when I go on vacation I want to really think about eating healthy food, and everything on the menu when we went was very much geared toward that. We did ask for pancakes with regular pancake batter and they were happy to oblige. I have no complaints about the food that I ate when I was there, simply about the limited selection.
We are planning on eating at Boma and Teppan Edo while we are there in December, so I am counting on hearing your reviews, if you decide to go there for ADRs! :)
Sunshine Seasons is great for a CS, there are so many different selections to choose from, even the pickiest eaters can find something they want. If you've been reading Meg's (autumnpalm) TR, she has some really nice things to say about Tangierine Cafe, and that looks really yummy!
I don't really know much about the CS at DTD, but House of Blues has good food, and a fun atmosphere! It's a sit down restaurant though, or I know we sat down and ate there. :)
Looks good!! Good luck with getting everything you want!

First poster to this pre-trippie! :)
I just have to pipe in here! I love, love Boma. Are you doing Breakfast or Dinner? We really enjoyed breakfast when we were there last year. YUM! And I am planning to return for Dinner this year!
But...The Wave... :sad2: We did not like this one. The atmosphere is fine and the service was great...but we thought the food was really strange. Check the menu and if it looks good to you, go for it! It was just a little strange to us. Hands down the worst meal we had in Disney on our October trip. One member of our party even sent an entree back and got their money back.
Actually... hmm... :scratchin I just went and looked at the menu...

I noticed that as soon as I posted! :rotfl: I would guess refunding the money for the strange food would probably get their attention! That would not have to happen often for them to figure out something needs to change.

Here's what I think:
O'Hana's: Are you thinking dinner or breakfast? We did breakfast and it was AMAZING. SO good and fun with all the characters, I've also heard lots and lots of good things about the dinner, we definitely plan on doing dinner here on our next trip
The Wave: Not sure about this one?
Teppan Edo: Ate here once, good, but just a typical hibachi place, I remember it being yummy though
Le Cellier: Supposed to be very very yummy! I vote yes for this one!
Boma: Definitely want to try one day.
Mama Melrose: Heard some good things about this one!
Oh--and for CS, I'm thinking:
Something at Downtown Disney?!--help!: I'd say..hmm, Wolfgang puck? Never eaten here, but heard good things! Blake and I are partial to Rainforest, we just normally sit at the bar at night, split the chicken bbq wrap and get a drink a piece :goodvibes
Cosmic Ray's or Columbia Harbor House:We LOVE Cosmic Rays, I don't think there has been 1 time that we haven't eaten here. Their burgers, wraps, and ribs are delicious!
Sunshine Seasons: Their desserts and chicken with 2 sides are supposed to be awesome!
Tangierene Cafe: Blake and I aren't huge extreme eaters, Morocco just scares me a little, but I heard their desserts are good!
Pizzafari or the AK picnic: We LOVE Pizzafari. The atmosphere inside is so cute and pretty, their pizza I think is much better than Pizza Planet in DHS, and their Italian sandwich too and their chocolate cake is SO yummy:laughing:
ABC Commissionary, Starring Rolls, or Studio Catering Co.: We've only tried Studio Catering Co, I really like their greek salads and Blake likes their pulled pork sandwich and chicken with black beans
Good luck with your decision! Can't wait to hear what you pick! :thumbsup2

Thanks for all the tips and insight! I do love mashed potatoes--YUM! Ok...I'm really thinking about switching The Wave now. Brandi ate there in Jan or Feb and loved it...but I'm not the healthiest eater, so I'm not sure I would. Any alternative suggestions?! Ok..no fettuchini. ;) I'm wanting the Fantasmic Dinner Package...but if I don't get it, what do you think about switching to Sci-Fi? Boma is my cousin's all-time favorite, and we LOVED Teppan Edo last time we went to Disney... I'm excited about both Epcot CS restaurants... Hopefully they're good. Since we might be getting rid of The Wave, we might be able to go to a TS at DTD...I'll look into House of Blues! :thumbsup2 Thanks a ton!!!

Thanks for the good feedback on Mama Melrose. I'm trying to get the Fantasmic Dinner Package. If I don't, would you suggest Sci-Fi Drive-In instead? I know you and G went there... I'm SOO excited about O'Hana! The AK picnic is a new thing they've started. You can check it out at http://allears.net/din/akpicnic.htm I'd love to try it, but I think you have to use a minimum of 3 CS credits since it says it feeds 3. :confused3 I'll have to find out. Something at Downtown Disney?!--help!: I'd say..hmm, Wolfgang puck? Never eaten here, but heard good things! Blake and I are partial to Rainforest, we just normally sit at the bar at night, split the chicken bbq wrap and get a drink a piece
The atmosphere inside is so cute and pretty, their pizza I think is much better than Pizza Planet in DHS, and their Italian sandwich too and their chocolate cake is SO yummy
ABC Commissionary, Starring Rolls, or Studio Catering Co.: We've only tried Studio Catering Co, I really like their greek salads and Blake likes their pulled pork sandwich and chicken with black beans
Good luck with your decision! Can't wait to hear what you pick!
Thanks for all your help! We're thinking dinner at O'Hana's. I've heard it was amazing. And we aren't really that interested in character meals this trip. We thought about adding one, but we aren't really sure if we want to. I've been to Teppan Edo and enjoyed it. I don't think Michael has ever been to a hibachi grill--so I want him to experience it! You're actually the reason I want to go to Cosmic Ray's! :upsidedow It looked so yummy in your TR! I'm wanting to try to steer clear of the normal burger and fries options for CS meals--I'm just not a huge fan. I'm glad you "approve" of all of the CS places! ;) Thanks again--huge help! :thumbsup2

Ohana's is wonderful, you will LOVE it! Here's a few pics of the dinner if you already haven't found them, this lady's dining TR is out of this world! She's gone SO many times and did an all dining report for just about any CS and TS place you can think of! Plus, her kids are SO cute! Hopefully it won't sway your decisions and you'll be starting from square 1 again  but hope it helps! If nothing else, reading the report makes your mouth DROOL! She takes some awesome pictures! :goodvibes

I also did see above that you were thinking about Sci-Fi. We love Sci-Fi, some people say their food isn't that great, but I think they've really improved a ton in years past. Plus, the atmosphere alone is great to do AT LEAST once. :thumbsup2

I'm not much help since I haven't been to any  but I'll be sure to let you know once I get back! We're planning on going to Le Cellier for lunch (soup is supposed to be "da bomb!" and now I know to order mashed potatoes), Boma and O'hana for dinner. I am so excited about all of them! I also heard Wolfgang Puck's places in DTD are supposed to be great! Good luck with all the food planning (one of my many favorite parts!). :thumbsup2

Thanks SOOO much for the link! I've been reading her Dining TR since I saw you posted this. :thumbsup2 Amazing. It's given me some more ideas, but I'm not totally sure on some of them.... And I think I might have decided that if we don't get the Fantasmic Dinner Pkg for MM's, then we'll go to Sci-Fi. What do you think? It does look so cool in there! Thanks!

Or if I don't get the Fantasmic Dinner Pkg, should we switch to Sci-Fi? Is Wolfgang Puck Express really different from the regular TS restuarant? I'll have to go check out thier menu... Thanks for the heads up about ABC! :scared: Don't want to go there if it's yuck!

Ok, haven't been to any of those TS, but I'll comment on the CS I've had.
Downtown Disney - We ate at Earl of Sandwich. I know a ton of people rave about it, but I didn't find it to be anything special at all.
Cosmic Ray's or Columbia Harbor House: Cosmic Rays is sooo good. We shared a chicken and ribs platter. It was huge. I'm not usually a big fan of meat on the bone, but I even picked it bare.
Sunshine Seasons: We ate here too. We liked it. We had some chinese food. They have a ton of selections and sooo many desserts to choose from. Too many maybe! make sure you look up and see the pretty balloons (I THINK that's where they are)
Tangierene Cafe: We LOVED this. Yummy, unique, but not too weird tasting.
Pizzafari or the AK picnic: Didn't eat at either. I think the only TS we ate there is McDonalds Fries :scared1:
ABC Commissionary, Starring Rolls, or Studio Catering Co.: I know people always say it's horrible, but we kinda liked ABC Commissary. We shared (again) a cheeseburger and fries and chocolate mousse. We were both STARVING when we ate here though, so we weren't too picky, but it definitely hit the spot!
Now for my lunch break at work!

I won't be much help in the ADR department...we rarely ate TS during our trips! I can say though that my parents raved about Le Cellier, and I'm hoping to snag a Candlelight Processional Package there this year. From what I remember of eating at Sci-Fi, it was good, so that may be another option for your Fantasmic Package? And as for CS at DTD, my sister absolutely raves about Earl of Sandwich, and I've read some good reviews for Wolfgang Puck's Express. Good luck with whatever you choose!

:confused3
OK, let's see...
I LOVED Ohana. I think it was my favourite meal of the trip in May. You have to go, it is sooo good, especially the dessert. OMG I could eat that dinner every single day.
Le Cellier, Teppan Edo and Boma are the only other ones on your list we've eaten at and I really enjoyed all of them! I think Teppan Edo is my fave, then Le Cellier then Boma.
CS wise, my favourite DTD CS is Wolfgang Puck Express! I think the food is better at CHH than CR's but I love Sonny Eclipse at Cosmic Ray's! And the fixin's bar is great. Don't miss the strawberry shortcake at Sunshine Seasons, it is absolutely amazing!

First of all, THANKS A TON for all of your help!! I have a Dining Plan that I'm really happy about now.
I don't know the order of the days, since TGM doesn't have his rates out yet, but here's the plan as of now:
Day 1:
.5 counter at Mara (ALK) and 1 snack
1 counter at Wolfgang Puck Express (DTD)
Day 2:
1 counter at Cosmic Ray's or Columbia Harbor House (MK)
1 table at O'Hana's (Poly)
Day 3:
.5 counter at Sunshine Season's (EFW) and 1 snack
1 table at Le Cellier (EWS)
Day 4:
1 counter at Tangierene Cafe (EWS)
1 table at Teppan Edo (EWS)
Day 5:
1 counter at Pizzafari or AK Picnic (AK)
1 table at Boma (AKL)
Day 6:
1 counter at Studio Catering Co. or Starring Rolls (DHS)
1 table at Mama Melrose (DHS)
Day 7:
1 table at Boma--breakfast (AKL)
1 snack
All of the counters are for lunck (besides in DTD) and all tables are for dinner (besides the last morning's bfast at Boma). The days we split a counter, we'll also each have a snack if we want. The other snacks will come whenever ;)
SO...the ADR list will be:
O'Hana's
Le Cellier
Teppan Edo
Boma
Mama Melrose
Boma bfast
Thanks again for all your help!!! :thumbsup2

I'm really sad right now and I just need to write it all out.
First of all, my back has been hurting all day. I injured it last summer and it hurts off and on. Well, last weekend we planted flowers/worked outside practically all Sunday and Monday. So needless to say, it's been very upset with me since then.
Michael left this evening to go to children's church camp until Saturday. I hate it when he's gone. We do everything together. When he's gone, I literally feel like part of me is gone. I know that sounds silly, but I do. Before we got married, I loved being alone every once in a while. When my family or roommate (whichever I was living with) was gone for the weekend or whatever, I loved being home by myself. But now I just hate it. He's only been gone overnight one other time. It was just one night. I was doing ok until I crawled in bed, and then I couldn't stop crying. Well, I've been dreading this for the past few days. This evening after church, we came home and then he had to leave. I couldn't stop the tears even before he was out the door.
Well, I thought that I'd distract myself and cheer myself up by finally uploading pictures onto photobucket and putting pictures of our new house up. I put the camera card into the computer and copied the pictures of my brother's prom onto the computer. I took the card out and put it back in to get the others. They were gone!!! GONE. I have no clue what happened. I tried looking through the card, and then putting it back into my camera. They're really gone. It was pictures of our first apartment right before we moved, my favorite cousin's wedding, a fun girls night with my other cousin, and pictures of our new house. I am just devastated. Pictures mean SOO much to me. I have literally thousands on my computer and back-up disks. My heart is just aching. I've been praying that they just got mixed up and that they'll turn up, but I just have no clue what happened to them.
So, needless to say, I'm sitting here with tears streaming down my face. I'm sorry to be so down during this post, but I needed to share. I'm sure everything will be fine in the morning. Thanks for listening!

Aw hun..here's a huge hug ! I know how frustrating it is to be in pain..I've had knee and back problems. I was up two nights ago until 4 a.m. because my back hurt so bad I couldn't get comfortable. I just started crying because all I wanted to was sleep!
I know how you feel about Michael being gone. I'm the same way with my B/F. This is weird. Seems like we've both been having the same problems lately because my B/F is going to be gone until Monday! I hate being apart because he's really one of the main people I do things with besides my sister and the little guy.
Oh my gosh! I am SO sorry about your picture problem. I wish I could help you.
I hope you wake up in the morning feel a bit better.

Here's a hug for your b/f being gone  It wouldn't be so bad, except my mom and little sister are at the camp too. And my dad is working out of town. And most of my friends live in Dallas. I know a lot of times if you take the memory card into a camera store they can retrieve the data for you. Maybe that would work? I'm not very tech-savvy so I can't think of any suggestions that might work at home, but we've gotten photos off of a broken memory card before. I will cross my fingers for you!

I think it's lovely that you were blessed with such a wonderful marriage.:lovestruc Could you have a Girl's Night on Friday or something? I'll be thinking of you and I'll say a prayer that your back is feeling better soon. Pain just makes everything worse.:headache: Get a good sleep! I hope you're feeling better in the morning but if not... your DIS friends are always here!:flower3:

I know it won't make you feel better until you get the pictures back, but I just recently had the hard drive on my computer fry and (almost) lost over 5,000 pictures - including our honeymoon and wedding pictures/videos. I was able to have the tech guys extract (almost) everything for me - and although it cost a pretty penny it was worth it to have my memories back. I hope you are able to get them back without paying anything, but know that tech guys are super heroes when it comes to that stuff :goodvibes
Also, I don't think it's silly at all that you feel lost without your Hubby. I am the exact same way - my Husband goes away for a week twice a year to help his Dad on the ranch and my heart literally aches while he's gone. I can't even sleep in our bed because it makes me too sad, I always end up sleeping on the couch so that I don't feel that empty space next to me.
Hope your spirits are lifted soon :flower3:

Sending you giant hugs.
I know a lot of times if you take the memory card into a camera store they can retrieve the data for you. Maybe that would work? I'm not very tech-savvy so I can't think of any suggestions that might work at home, but we've gotten photos off of a broken memory card before. I will cross my fingers for you!
It will be Saturday before you know it.:grouphug: You're so lucky to have found someone who you are so in love with... that is so rare! I think it's lovely that you were blessed with such a wonderful marriage.:lovestruc Could you have a Girl's Night on Friday or something? Or totally veg out in your PJs, hang out on the DIS and rent cheesy movies?
I'll be thinking of you and I'll say a prayer that your back is feeling better soon. Pain just makes everything worse.:headache: Get a good sleep! I hope you're feeling better in the morning but if not... your DIS friends are always here!:flower3:
Thanks so much! I'm better this morning--at least not so emotional! :) I'll try to figure something out with my camera. Luckily, we videoed our first apt too--so we at least have some memory of it. I am so, so blessed to have a wonderful marriage. I couldn't imagine it being any better. And I know these days will pass quickly--and then Saturday will be all the better! I think I'm going to work on getting all of my Disney binder stuff organized over the next couple of days. Thanks so much for the prayers and hugs!!! They mean so much

I'm so glad you understand what I mean about being lost without Michael. And I'm glad I'm not the only one. Last time he was gone, I bawled when I had to go to sleep. This time, I read a chapter of a book and then snuggled next to his pillow. I was proud I didn't cry! :) Thanks so much for your help!

Oh goodness, I hope you are feeling better by now! Unfortunately, I have a LOT more experience (more than I'd like!) with my husband being away, so I have an idea of how you feel. He works offshore, so his schedule us usually two weeks on the rig, and two weeks at home. For awhile, it was two weeks on the rig and only one week at home, which was just plain awful! Sometimes we get a nice surprise and he gets to stay home longer, but that is rare. The first few days are always terrible! I have trouble sleeping, and I spend the days when I'm off of work bored out of my mind, since I don't have family that lives close.
I hope you find some way to recover your pictures. Pictures are so incredibly important to me too! This post makes me feel like DH & I need to update some of our backups because we haven't done that in awhile. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that you are able to find some service to recover them! :grouphug:

Oh!!!! Staci, I'm so sorry! I know how lonely you must feel! My hubby was gone for almost a week last summer for baseball stuff and I was so sad! :sad1: It helped having my doggies to snuggle in bed with, but it wasn't the same. Just try to keep yourself busy (maybe with a Disney binder!) and know that he'll be home soon! Then you'll have all the lost time to make up for!! :dance3:

Thanks! Really? That would be so awesome!! :thumbsup2 Are you hoping for an early or late ADR? We'll probably try for an early...
I think we're going to try to get a reservation around 7, maybe a little earlier or later depending on what's available.
 Just keep busy until he gets home. It will fly by and you'll forget all about being sad! I hope your back is feeling better. My back is always bothering me. I must have horrible posture or something.

Hope you're having a better day today! :goodvibes Some days can just be cross. I would definitely take the camera card in or try it again on the computer - electronics can be so fickle!
To cheer yourself up you should go look on all ears for the mara menu! I like the flatbreads, and there are good burgers too. They also had good soup selections last time I was there, but what you really should look out for are the desserts! :thumbsup2 They have zebra domes (kind of a cross between pudding and mousse but so good!) and simba paw print brownies - delicious!

I'm thankful for that. I think we might buy a time machine and keep it in our fireproof safe. Losing pictures is almost as bad as losing memories to me! But hopefully they'll show up... Thanks again!

Thanks for caring!! It means a lot! :) I'm thankful that he doesn't have to travel a lot, but I don't like the few times that he does have to be gone. Luckily, I get to go to the next camp with him! I think we're going to try for a ressie before 6. We usually eat pretty early. But who knows what will be available. Do you know when park times should be posted? And when can we find out what nights Fantasmic and Spectro are showing? It'll be here so soon! Thanks! I'm planning on it! I injured mine last summer and I have a feeling I'll always have to be careful now. Does any of your family have back problems?

Guess what!!! Good news!
I'm going to get to go visit Michael at camp tonight! :dance3: My dad just called and said his best friend (his wife is the children's minister, and they're like my second family) is going to visit tonight!! And my dad is driving down from OKC to meet us there. So I called Dodo (my dad's best friend--his real name is Duane, but I've called him Dodo since I was 2) and we're leaving here at 4! I texted my mom and told her not to tell Michael so I can surprise him. YAY!!! :yay: I can't wait. I'm pathetic. It's only been one night... But oh well! Pathetic I'll be. ;) I'm still super excited!
Oh--and I've started working on the pages for my Disney Binder! I'll show you when it's finished. I'm trying to compile info for a quick itinerary/important number page right now.
Thanks so much for all the hugs and thoughts and prayers!! It's good to have DIS friends when my real ones aren't here! :grouphug:

The park hours should be posted sometime next week along with the schedules for Fantasmic and Spectro. I've been waiting for what feels like forever for them to post the Sept. hours so I can finalize my planning...somewhat. I'm indecisive and change everything around.
I don't think anyone in my family has back problems. It's always the same spot that hurts with mine. It cracks a lot too. Ouch.
I'm glad you get to go visit your hubby! Cute idea about surprising him too. :)

Hi there---just coming our of lurkdom to suggest something for your pictures. If you haven't done anything with the card (i.e. taken more pictures on it, or even if you had) you may want to try using ZAR. It's a photo recovery program that's free and you can download from online to recover photos from corrupted memory cards or even cards that you hare re-formatted and deleted all of the photos from. You may want to look into that, I know how much it stinks having photos disappear so hopefully you are able to recover them with this! :thumbsup2

I just read your whole PTR (I just clicked on the links in your 1st post). Your plans look great! I think we saw that same DOI a few years ago (Madison was in preschool)! We really enjoyed it, but I think we saw it in reverse order! Ours started with PP and 101 Dalmations. I know we also saw Lilo & Stitch and I think the Little Mermaid. I don't know what else was in the show.

You are SO welcome. Glad I could help and even more glad you were able to get your pictures back. Now go spend some time with your DH :goodvibes I know how difficult it is being apart from your significant other (my DH was on a submarine for about 6 years of our 9 year relationship, gone for 6 months at a time), but the reunions when they come back home definitely make you appreciate them that much more, IMO.

Now that my pictures are back, I have an update! I know…finally…
I’ll start with pictures of our new little house. I can’t tell you how much we love it here. It’s about double the size of our last apt (at least it feels that way) and it’s been so great to plant flowers and really feel like it’s ours. We’re definitely content to stay here until we leave Ada (we have no clue when that will be…probably within 5 years). Without further adieu, here is our little place:
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/spring%20spurs%20stuff/12OldandNewHouses046.jpg
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/spring%20spurs%20stuff/12OldandNewHouses040.jpg
It’s a two-bedroom, but the laundry room is HUGE. We have the desk and some other stuff in there. I didn’t take a picture of the guest room (we’re still trying to get everything put away in there) or the laundry room (it still has a few boxes in it).
Here’s the living room:
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/spring%20spurs%20stuff/12OldandNewHouses016.jpg
With a little touch of Disney:
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/spring%20spurs%20stuff/12OldandNewHouses020.jpg
The window in the living room is our second favorite thing about the house. It is so unique.
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/spring%20spurs%20stuff/12OldandNewHouses019.jpg
Here are a couple of shots of our bedroom

With a little more Disney:
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/spring%20spurs%20stuff/12OldandNewHouses004.jpg
I know…it doesn’t have a picture in it right now. I had a picture of my whole family from our last trip, but I don’t know where I put the pictures when I moved from my parents’ house to our apt. I guess we’ll just have to wait to fill it with our Sept trip picture!
And now…for our favorite part of our house: The CLOSET!!

These pictures don’t even pay it justice. We could fit a card table in the middle of it!
I mentioned earlier that we planted flowers a few weekends ago (the cause of my back problem flare-ups…) and here are a few pictures. I took these a few days ago, and they’re already a lot bigger!

Yay! I love the pics of your house. It looks so nice! You guys have done a great job of making it look really nice, and homey. :)
And the flowers are pretty too! Love your touches of Disney that you've placed around the house.
I am insanely jealous of your closet. It looks like the size of my bedroom. :lmao:

And now…here are pictures of what I’ve started on my Disney Planning Binder!
The cover:
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/spring%20spurs%20stuff/12OldandNewHouses005.jpg
First Page: Itinerary. I put our flight info and our AKL ressie # and things like that on this page. I also put important phone numbers. Do any of you have phone numbers I might want to add? I don’t know what all might come in handy…
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/spring%20spurs%20stuff/12OldandNewHouses006-1.jpg
Up next is our budget. I put our Budgeted Costs and then space for our Actual Costs. The things I’ve already paid for are filled in, and the rest is blank for me to fill in as we spend it. On the other side is a quick reference Disney Dining sheet! I’ve put all of the restaurants we’re going to (keep in mind, the plan may change when park hours are released…but this is the plan as of now). I’ve also included space for ADR #s. The pictures are of all of the different places we’re planning to go to.
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/spring%20spurs%20stuff/12OldandNewHouses007.jpg
Then…I’ve included all of the menus for the restaurants where we’re going. This way, we can look and try to figure out what we’re going to eat at each place. The CS restaurants aren’t a big deal to know ahead of time, but I’d like to have a good idea about the TS restaurants so we can figure out what tip will most likely be. timandlesley said that they make envelopes for tips and I’d like to do the same…
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/spring%20spurs%20stuff/12OldandNewHouses008.jpg
On the right side of this page, I have a snack sheet. I’ve listed different snacks that I’ve heard a lot about and want to try. Again…I need to fill this sheet up—so any must have snacks would be appreciated!
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/spring%20spurs%20stuff/12OldandNewHouses009.jpg
Then, I have a page for park hours and show times for nighttime events (It’s blank now…waiting for park times). On the opposite side is the beginning of my packing list. It’s divided by Carry On, Checked Suitcase, and For Parks.
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/spring%20spurs%20stuff/12OldandNewHouses010.jpg
That’s what I’ve got so far! I’ve enjoyed more-or-less putting all of our information together in one place. I’m no where near done—I have many more pages in my mind that I need to add—but it’s a start. I’m excited to keep adding more and more to it until it’s finally September 20 and we’re heading to Disney World!!

Thanks! We love it there. I know it's nothing spectacular, but it's perfect for us. I'm so impatient...I want the flowers to grow like crazy! :rotfl: Isn't the closet the greatest? But I know one thing: I'll be SUPER spoiled and want a closet that big in every house from now on! ;)

Your house is so cute! We bought our first house last June and it is amazing! We were in our apt from Dec 04 - June 08, so it was nice to be on our own. Before that, we lived in my parents basement! I feel very lucky that the previous owners liked to garden and had gardens full of perennials! Everything came back so lovely and beautiful. I'm not into gardening, so I'm happy I didn't have to do much. I pulled weeds and put out new mulch last week and that's it!
That binder is amazing! I don't have anything like that. I keep a lot in my PassPorter until it's time to go. Then, I transfer our ADR's, park hours, etc into my trip journal (I have a Vera Bradley notebook for this trip! It's fits perfectly into my hipster!). The PassPorter pockets are a bit too tall for my hipster. I have a huge packing list saved in Microsoft Word that I just updated from January. I print it out before I pack and then cross things off after they're packed. I also have a list of things to do before we leave: put a hold on the mail, set lamp timers, make sure someone can come feed the cats, set the Tivo!!!

I have been out of town for over a week and now I am back!
I love your house! It almost makes me wish I had a "real" yard. But I am way too lazy and enjoy the fact that someone else mows my grass! Isn't that horrible! :confused3 (I live in a condo complex.)
Anyway...
I LOVE your binder!!!!! I am so jealous! I really need to do something like that. I especially need a snack and packing list!
I end up writing everything in my pre-trippie and checking the DIS as I am out and about to remind myself of stuff. :rotfl:
You are doing a great job on planning and I love your ADR's! Now I need to get mine all finalized so I can call this week! I think we will have several that are the same. :woohoo:

Your house is too cute! DH and I had the same Mickey & Minnie wedding cake topper at our wedding. It's out on our shelf with some Mickey & Minnie wedding bobble heads whose noses are magnets so they kiss! I love them! And that closet is ridiculous! I could fit so much stuff in there!
The binder looks awesome. Right now I'm just working with an expandable file folder to organize all of the information I have printed. It's nowhere near as pretty as yours! But I actually sat down today and made a list of things I want to try and print at work Wednesday (when my boss isn't there to see me doing non-nursing work & using the hospital's paper and ink for my vacation plans :rolleyes1), and it's a LONG list. So it should really bulk up my folder. :thumbsup2

Thanks! That's so great that you're in your own house now! I'm sure you were beyond ready! I've never been a gardener...I always made fun of my mom for loving it. But as soon as we moved into this house, all I wanted to do was plant flowers to make it look pretty. :rolleyes1 I guess I can't make fun of her anymore! ;) Ooh--I need to look into getting a Vera notebook. I'm waiting for the new purses to go on clearance and then I'll buy a regular hipster. That way I can switch between it and my mini. Would you mind PMing me your packing list? I feel like I'm surely going to forget something! Or at least the highlights...? Ooh--I didn't even think about all the stuff we'll need to take care of here!

Thanks--It was fun to start working on it. I made more pages yesterday, and have some more in mind for today. I'm such a nerd. Checking your PTR is smart! I couldn't do that b/c I really only get on here at work. :rolleyes1 I mean, at home on Saturdays. ;) Thanks! Good luck finalizing yours!! I can't wait for Disney Dining! :woohoo:

I've used them on different things. It just makes it feel more official :rotfl: I'm a crazy organizer/nerd! I love planning/organizing. I get it from my mom!
I am SO glad you were able to get your pictures back. And your new house is super cute!!
I also love your Disney binder!!
Thanks! I am so glad too. I was so upset they were gone! Thanks--we love it. It was a LOT of fun to make the binder! I've added more pages. I'll post pictures sometime this week! :thumbsup2

Thanks! It is so good to not have to worry about bad neighbors. We have great ones all around us, and even if we didn't, it wouldn't be as bad as facing them (like our apt was)! It's so good to live on our own! It was so much fun to put together. My family laughs at me (except my mom--she's proud! :rotfl:) but I don't care. I'm doing this for me--not them! ;) I did everything in Excel before I put it in InDesign. Excel is the best for getting everything organized! :thumbsup2

CONGRATS!! :cheer2: I hope the wedding was everything you've dreamed it would be! I'm so glad the pics are back too! :thumbsup2 I didn't know I'd love having flowers this much. I still need to finish--my mom has 2 rose bushes she's giving me, and I need to add the mulch...sometime this week. Thanks! I had fun making it :goodvibes

That's the plan thus far! Let me know what you think! I have more binder pages finished, but I haven't had a chance to take pictures and upload them.
OH--and I got my hair cut! Majorly. 9.5 inches! :goodvibes I'm donating it to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. I went to a wedding this past weekend (#3 of 5) and so I'll try to post pictures of that.
I'll be gone this whole next week--we're taking our youth to Church Camp. I'm SOOO excited! It'll be my first taste of summer this year. I was going to have to come back and work on Wednesday, but my boss just emailed me and said that if the only reason I was coming back on Wednesday was for the review he had scheduled (he left me with 6 design projects while he was gone, and I'm supposed to be finished by Wednesday), then he was fine with me just taking the week off! :woohoo: He's been gone for 2 weeks, and he said he'll still be playing catch up on Wednesday. So now I'm truly going for the whole week. We leave today at 1 :upsidedow
All that to say, I'll be away from the Boards this week, but I promise to post pictures of the Disney Binder, camp, my hair, and a few new clothes from our short shopping trip (DH and I had a date day on Sat before the wedding) when I get back! :goodvibes

I've donated my hair to Locks of Love twice, and always felt really great after. Especially this last time because I started giving chemo at work, so I take care of some amazing kids with cancer and I can see the kinds of people I'm donating to, in a way. :goodvibes
The schedule looks great!! I cannot tell you how anxious I am for December hours so I can do the same thing!! :rotfl: I'm a little nervous though because my projected ADR date for Chef Mickey's is on September 7th, and that's about when park hours will be posted, if not later since Disney has been so late getting them up. I'll be a ball of nerves that week, hoping we get all the ADR's we want! Luckily we aren't trying for too many, but the ones we want are popular places!
Can't wait for pictures. :thumbsup2

I love your binder! I was catching up on your PTR (I just got back from Disney--we had a wonderful time!) and looking at your "snack list". I couldn't tell if you had Kaki Gori on there or not...It is surely something you must have. They are the best snow cone you ever had, but better. Finely shaved ice, lots of yummy flavor! They are sold at a little kiosk in Japan. If you start on the Mexico side and work your way around they will be on your left just as you are entering Japan. Strawberry is my favorite, but they have Cherry, Tangerine, and one other flavor, Melon? I can't remember!!

:thumbsup2
That's so awesome that you get to work with little kids that might be getting Locks of Love wigs! How special. :goodvibes I bet you're just SOOO ready for December hours! I know I was going crazy for Sept hours! Good luck on them posting early so you can get the ones you want! Especially CM :thumbsup2 I'll post pictures soon!
Your plan looks great! Have an awesome time at camp, and I can't wait to hear all about it when you get back!
Thanks so much! It was a GREAT week! I'll post pics soon!
YUMMY!!! I've never tried one of them. I'll add it to the list right now! Thanks! :woohoo: They sound super yummy. We both love sno cones...I'm excited to try them! I'm glad you had a great time at Disney!!!! :thumbsup2
Found your PTR this morning.
I'm an Okie as well pirate: and my family will be down at WDW during the same time period (Sep 17-26). From the looks, our main itinerary doesn't really match anywhere, but hey...."it's a small world" over there right?
Look forward to following the rest of your PTR and countdown.
HI FELLOW OKIE!! :cheer2: Thanks for reading! I see you're from Moore. My parents just moved there this past weekend. Crazy, huh?! My little sister is going to Brink. They're excited, but my sis is pretty nervous. That's so awesome that we'll be at Disney at the same time! Who knows--maybe we'll run into each other. I'll go over and check out your PTR :thumbsup2

If your sister is going to Brink, does that mean she's in line to go to Westmoore or Southmoore later on?

Yeah! They just moved this weekend. I don't know...I'll have to check. She's just going into the 7th grade...so she has a couple of years at Brink. My parents are both educators in OKCPS. My dad is a HS principal, and my mom will be a 9th grade counselor this next year.

Now for the long overdue update! :thumbsup2
I’ll start with the hair.
As I mentioned before, I cut 9.5+ inches off of my hair a few weeks ago to donate to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. My cousin has a friend who works in the children’s cancer ward at a hospital in Dallas, and she said a lot of her little kids get wigs from Pantene. They also let you donate 8 inches instead of having to have 10. Anyway…I’ve been growing my hair out for a couple of years (I’ve only had trims every few months, but no major cutting). One night, I was up tossing and turning for literally hours in the middle of the night. Every time I would turn over, my hair would wrap around my face and/or neck. That night, I decided I’d had it—I would be calling my hair stylist first thing in the morning!!! :headache: She got me in the following day.
In case you need a refresher, here’s a picture of my hair before the cut:
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/spring%20spurs%20stuff/10BdayWeekend107.jpg
Keep in mind that was back in April…meaning it’d grown a few more inches.
Here is the ponytail after the cut:
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/01HaircutsandWedding001.jpg
Michael thinks this is disgusting. He was so grossed out by it at first. Since I had to let it dry completely before I mail it, I just left it on a sack on my dresser. One day, he decided to be funny and put it on top of his head…and then acted like it was a tail…and then a beard. Oh, boy. :upsidedow
Here’s the day after I got it cut (on my way to work)…sorry about the weird color…
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/01HaircutsandWedding002.jpg
Here’s us at a wedding a few weekends ago:
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/01HaircutsandWedding012-1.jpg
And here is a hasty picture taken late last night to show it more straight:
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/01HaircutsandWedding020.jpg
Anyway…I like it because it’s just so much easier—without having to be in a ponytail all the time! :goodvibes
Next up: More Disney Binder pages!!!
First of all, I’ve expanded my packing list. It now fills up two pages:
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/01HaircutsandWedding015.jpg
I also typed up all of TGM’s crowd charts (Green, Yellow, and Red ratings) for each day/each park—I colored out his ratings so I wasn’t passing on info I shouldn’t. On the other side is my detailed park plan:
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/01HaircutsandWedding0162.jpg
I don’t know if I’ve put up pictures of this or not…but I made little charts of attractions I want to visit at each park and tips about the attractions. On the other side is a park map for that park:
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/01HaircutsandWedding017.jpg
I think I might have included this earlier, but it’s a quick reference for our daily dining, and on the other side, I’ll put our ADR times and numbers:
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/01HaircutsandWedding018.jpg
Lastly, I made the tip amount page prettier! Do you see the hidden Mickey?
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/01HaircutsandWedding019.jpg
Lastly, here’s a pretty picture of some of my flowers: :flower3:
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/01HaircutsandWedding004.jpg
And I thought this picture was really pretty too—I took it last night. The picture is something we were given for our wedding. I think candles photograph so wonderfully:

Your hair is soooo cute!! Mine is just so thick that it seems no matter what I try to do with it, it doesn't want to cooperate. Too funny about your DH and the ponytail. But what is so gross about it just because it isn't on your head?? Doesn't he realize it's the same exact hair?!?! :lmao: Boys...
And I love the work on the binder! Mine is coming along, but still won't be anywhere near as adorable and colorful as yours! I exhausted all of our printer's ink printing clip art, so I'm waiting for our refillable cartridge set to come in the mail, and then IT'S ON! :rotfl: I will be a printing fool!

Oh my gosh, I LOVE the hair!! It makes you look more grown up and believe me, I know how much easier it is being shorter! :goodvibes
I've been debating with mine for a while, it grows so quickly, and is so hot in the summer, especially taking SO long to blowdry it! But it seems like every time I get it cut short, people say I look even younger than I look with long hair. Usually I get 17-18 years of age (at 25) I can't win :rotfl:
Love the binder by the way, no wonder you're a graphic artist! :thumbsup2

Well, today was the day. The day of the ADRs. :upsidedow
I set my alarm for 5:39 (I don't do 5s or 10s) so I could get everything ready before I called at 6:00. (We're Central Time...so it's 6 here when it's 7 there...) I got my binder pages out that had the dining info and the times I'd wanted, a spiral notepad just in case, my credit card (even though we didn't end up needing it), and the Unofficial Guide (in case I was put on hold). Oh--and Michael was so wonderful and woke up with me! I told him he could sleep, but he said he wanted to wait with me :goodvibes
I called Disney Dining at 5:58 to put the number into my recent calls log, so that at 5:59 1/2 I could just press call twice. I got through right at 6:00 (7:00 there...) and was told I had about an 11 minute wait. Michael ended up going outside and watering my flowers (what an amazing hubby! :lovestruc while I waited.) At 6:14 a CM named Melina answered the phone. She was very, very helpful! I love that she was so cheery so early in the morning :thumbsup2
I already pretty much knew that I wouldn't get a ressie at Le Cellier, so I had a backup. It was the first I asked for...and there were absolutely no openings either of the days we could go. So I went on and got a Coral Reef ressie instead. Next up was Mama Melrose. They only had a super early ressie, so I skipped it and went on. 'Ohana was only available at 9:45 or something ridiculously late like that (we're used to eating at 5:00 or 5:30) so I skipped that as well. We got Teppan Edo, Boma, and Boma bfast within 15 minutes of the times we wanted. Then I went back and went ahead and took the MM ressie, and changed our 'Ohana request to Kona Cafe instead. We also added a ressie for Sci Fi instead we want that in place of MM.
Melinda was SUPER helpful, and she tried to help me find places/times that would work out. I asked her a few questions about adding/canceling ressies on the online system, and then wished her a good day. I stayed on the phone to give her a good rating on the survey. :thumbsup2
Overall, I was pretty happy. I mean, there are so many wonderful restaurants at WDW that I knew we'd be happy with whatever we got! I'm so glad our Teppan Edo ressie worked out. The first thing Michael said when I got off the phone was "Do we still get to go to that place where they cook it in front of you?" :goodvibes So he's excited about it!
Here's what we wanted originally:
9/21 Le Cellier 5:30
9/22 Mama Melrose 5:30
9/23 'Ohana 5:30
9/24 Teppan Edo 5:30
9/25 Boma 5:30
9/26 Boma bfast 8:30
And here's what we got:
9/21 Coral Reef 4:00
9/22 Mama Melrose 3:55
9/22 Sci Fi Drive In 5:35
9/23 Kona Cafe 5:00
9/24 Teppan Edo 5:40
9/25 Boma 5:45
9/26 Boma bfast 8:15
I know a couple of the dinners are really early, but we talked about just splitting a CS for lunch around 11, and then we'd be hungry for dinner. And we can split another CS or just get a snack that night. We'd much rather eat super early than super late.
We went back to sleep for a few hours (I'd asked my boss if I could come in at noon). We got up and while I made muffins, Michael actually asked what the website was so he could look at the restaurants we'd be eating at. It was so cute (he would die if he knew I said that, but it was! :goodvibes). He went through and looked at all of the restaurants and he got excited about all of the places! And then he started looking at all of the attractions. We ate our muffins in front of the computer, and he'd watch the different videos and look at all the pictures. I started doing some laundry, and he'd lean his head around the corner and say something like "I know you might not want to, but I'd kinda like to do the One Man's Dream thing..." :woohoo: Are you kidding me?! Of course I want to!!! I love that he's getting into this now. He said it feels a lot more real since we're only 90 days away!
Tonight, we're making homemade pizzas, watching Toy Story, and looking over menus to try to decide what we might want at each place! I'm so excited! A Disney Date :goodvibes

I couldn't get Ohana for anything earlier than 9:30! WTH? :confused3 I reserved it but I'm not sure if I want to keep it. I was thinking about making a dinner reservation that night for WCC or Kona instead.

It's ok. We're pretty happy with the ones we got. I think I'll stick with Coral Reef b/c Michael is more excited about it than he was Le Cellier. But I will keep calling back about 'Ohana. We really wanted to try there! This is our first Disney Date! I think we might try to watch The Three Cabelleros (he's Mexican, and I'm Brazilian...and he's never seen it!) next week. :goodvibes

I KNOW!!! Isn't that just CRAZY?!?!?! :confused3 Le Cellier is completely booked on the 21st and 24th as well. Oh well. I'm almost glad we can't get something there if it's going to be that booked. And we could only get a super super late 'Ohana ressie too. So we turned it down. I hear the bread at Kona is fabulous. So that is a plus! :upsidedow Thanks--we're both excited about it!!! Congrats on doing so well with your ADR's! Just out of curiosity, why did you opt for the phone reservations rather than the online system? Did you find it easier to do it that way? Thanks! We're really happy with how they turned out--even if they weren't our first picks! :thumbsup2 I'm renting points from a DVC member...and there's a glitch in the system where DVC members/renters can't make ressies 90+10. They can only do 90 days. So I pretty much had to call. If I were you, I'd get online at 6:01 Eastern time and make as many as possible online. And then if you have questions or need additional help, you can call at 7:00 Eastern time. Good luck!! :thumbsup2

Hi!! I just read through your entire PTR!! All 29 page!! WHEW!! I loved it though! You seem so fun, I'm sad that we are missing each other by a couple of weeks!!
I LOVE DOI!! I have gone the past 3 years just because I love it. The first one was Princesses on Ice and that was my favorite. It showed quick stories of all the princesses and was jsut AMAZING!! For Sleeping Beauty they even had this HUGE dragon come out that really breathed fire and spit it all over the ice...it was so cool. Last year I went to Finding Nemo and this past year (my first year actually having a kid there) was the Incredibles. Sadly, they won't be back where I am any time soon but I looked and they are having one in Orlando when I am there. While we are free that night, I don't really wanna drive to the arena and then be all tired the next day! Oh well!!
I love all your pictures and how in love you and your DH are. Its so cute.

Thanks! We're really excited! :goodvibes Oh yes--your other trip is coming up soon, isn't it? That is SOO exciting!! It's getting closer and closer--finally :thumbsup2
:cheer2: Thanks for reading!! Aw...that would have been so cool if we were there at the same time! DOI was so neat. That is awesome that you've been so much! I think we'll wait to go again until we have kids. But we enjoyed it as adults too! ;) Thanks--we are so in love. and I love it :goodvibes

Thanks! They were a lot of fun to make! I would love to share...but they're made in InDesign. Do you have Adobe Creative Suite? Or at least InDesign? If so, I'll for sure pass them on! :thumbsup2

I don't unfortunately. My computer situation is all screwy right now...I'm rarely ever home so I cancelled my internet and so really can't do anything on my personal computer (which is my dad's old computer and I'm pretty sure it may have one of those) and the computer I am on now and pretty much always is at work and they have NOTHING!! *tear* I liked them so much!

First of all, here’s the long-overdue camp re-cap I promised:
We took our youth to a Church Camp in Oklahoma. I came to this same camp for the first time when I was 3 months old!! My parents were sponsors almost every year when I was little. I think I’ve only not gone about 8 years. So this place is special to me.
It was neat being on the other side of things, though. I absolutely loved the kids that came with us. Only a handful were actually kids from our youth group, but all of the kids just meshed so well together. And we had NO PROBLEMS! Let me repeat that: We had no problems! This is huge. No teenage girl tiffs, no guys obsessed with taking girls on icee dates, no pranks (Michael announced in the parent meeting that if there was one prank, the student would be sent home—thank goodness), no cliques. Nothing. It was so good. These students were precious. I’m so thankful I was able to go and spend the time with them.
Here are a couple of pictures of the week:
The Theme was ECHO. As in echoing the truth from one generation to another.
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/02FallsCreek003.jpg
The speaker’s name was Ed Newton. Check out his podcasts. He’s an incredible speaker! The kids LOVED him!
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/02FallsCreek093.jpg
The Common Ground Band led the music for the week. They were awesome! They came and ate lunch with us one of the afternoon, and they were truly genuine guys. The drummer hung out with us throughout the week.

http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/02FallsCreek017.jpg
They had a video contest for a Rules Video. Well…my hubby is a very talented videographer, and we won!!! Out of all of the churches that were attending in June. By the way…there are over 5000 students that come each week, and I think it runs for 10 weeks a summer. Something like that. Anyway…because we won the video contest, we got to go in early to save seats every night! Can you say front seats?! Our students ate this up!!
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/02FallsCreek002.jpg
One afternoon, we did a huge ropes course. I’ve done more ropes course challenges than I can count, and this was BY FAR the most challenging! I didn’t know if I was going to make it. I’m a huge challenge-eater-upper, but this was a doozy! Thank goodness I tackled it with Michael and another guy sponsor.

http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/02FallsCreek056.jpg
We also went swimming one afternoon. Here’s a pic of my little sister and me before stepping into the cold, cold lake. They had a HUGE blow up ice berg that you can climb up and then slide down. It was awesome. They also have a big blow up trampoline with a blob, slide, and something else attached. It was a lot of fun!
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/02FallsCreek096.jpg
Our group played volleyball (and made it to the tournament!) too. I cheered them on. Every since I got hit in the head with a volleyball in elementary school, I’ve been terrified to play.

http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/02FallsCreek195.jpg
One of the days, our volleyball game was cut short by this:

http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/02FallsCreek110.jpg
Thank goodness it only rained once!
We took a kinda short hike up to the falls and saw this:

And this:

It was an EXCELLENT week! I loved every minute of it. I’m already looking forward to next year. I’ll leave you with one of the most beautiful things I saw all week:

Secondly, here’s an update on Disney Planning:
We had our first Disney Date over a week ago, and it was great! We made pizza, watched Toy Story, and picked our meals (or at least looked at the menus). It was a BIG hit! :goodvibes
So much so that we’re having another tonight!!! We’re eating a mighty meal (steaks and baked potatoes) and watching The Mighty Ducks! :rotfl: We are also putting together a 75 day countdown calendar!
Last night, we finally did it. We went to Home Depot (or Home of De Pot as my dad used to say. haha) to steal Mickey Heads. Needless to say, Michael was embarrassed. He gave me the hardest time! He went on to call me a zealot. And nickname me Zelie. Oh gosh. :upsidedow But it was all in good fun! He’s even going to help with the calendar tonight! I’ve had one at my work since March (I just printed calendars from the Disney Artist website, and wrote the countdown numbers in). But I’m so excited to get an official one up at home!!
Thirdly, on life:
We had a GREAT weekend! I was off work the 3rd, and the 2nd was Michael’s birthday. I took him (well…actually he drove and paid…but it’s the thought that counts—right?!) to an absolutely incredible Italian restaurant. It was in a little bitty town a couple of hours away. If you’re ever in west Oklahoma, go to Marlow and eat at the little Italian place on Main Street. YUM! I had cheese, shrimp, and crab ravioli with half alfredo sauce and half marinara sauce. It was amazing. He loved it too, and said it was every bit worth the drive! Yay!! :thumbsup2
The morning of the 3rd, we packed up the car and headed to the lake to go camping with my parents. Sorry—no pictures…I was too busy relaxing. They had this camping time share trial thing, so they took their camping trailer, and we took our tent. We had fun just swimming, relaxing/visiting, and eating. It was really hot, but we didn’t realize it too much since we were inside the trailer or in the pool most of the time. The first night, we had shrimp kabobs/shrimp scampi, grilled fish, and fried fish. YUM! The next night, we had really great grilled hamburgers! We tried making homemade ice cream, but we didn’t realize the bowl has to freeze for a day before you make it. Needless to say, it didn’t work too well. Oh well! The spoons tasted yummy! :upsidedow We spent the night in our tent (it was our first time getting it out of the box) and actually got a little sleep. However, after the sun came up, we went into the trailer and slept for 4 more hours! After more swimming, visiting, and eating, it was time for fireworks! Then, we packed up and headed home. It was just a great, relaxing weekend!
I only have 4 weeks of school left, and I’m finished FOREVER! Can’t wait for that day.
We’re going to try to go to Six Flags (an amusement park in Arlington, TX—close to Dallas) in a couple of weeks. :woohoo: We have a family reunion in Dallas on the 25th, and we’re wanting to go to Six Flags on the 24th. We used to go every summer, so I’m SUPER excited about this! It’s no Disney, but it does have tons of fun thrill rides.
I’m trying to really get my free-lance business off the ground. So if you know of anyone that needs some graphic design work done… hint, hint. Haha. Just kidding. Sort of. :rolleyes1
Oh—and I’ve pretty much gotten my outfits picked out for Disney World. I need to start taking pictures and getting everyone’s opinions. I’m so excited! We only have 76 days to go!!! :dance3:

Sounds like you've had quite a few fun times so far this summer!
And don't you love shopping for vacation clothes? I do. I try to plan out my outfits ahead of time, but I didn't do very good this time. Being that we were in so many places with less consistent weather than Florida it was a bit harder. But I just packed heavy like always.

Sounds like a fun weekend!! I finally got my DH to sit down and look at menus with me, which was a huge accomplishment, but I don't think I'll get him into making a countdown, so good for you for getting your DH to! :thumbsup2 I wanted to seal some Mickey heads from HD too, but DH talked me out of it saying I was "stealing." But hey, it can't be stealing if they are free, so I'm totally sucking it up and taking some next time! :rotfl: I'm jealous you only have 76 days left and I have so many more (151, but who's counting!)!!

So I was stretching the truth when I said "we" :upsidedow Haha!! Yes...he told me that I was going to make Home Depot go bankrupt because I took all their paint samples. And then they would have false hopes that people were thinking about buying it. :rotfl2: 75 today!!!

First off, I wanted to share a few pics of the wedding I went to in Louisiana a few weekends ago.
It was GORGEOUS! Two of my closest friends were marrying each other! They got married outside at this art gallery place (or something like that). Our GPS got us lost for 45 minutes instead of taking us the 3 miles down the road from our hotel. Thankfully, we left with a 30 minute buffer. Sadly, we were still 15 minutes late. At least it was an outdoor wedding, so no one knew we were late!
Here’s the little amphitheater where they got married. Isn’t that just stunning?!
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/03Wedding011.jpg
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/03Wedding013.jpg
And they got in this little carriage which took them around the grounds while everyone headed to the reception hall.
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/03Wedding015.jpg
Here’s a pic of the girls I road-tripped with. We were in a leadership program two years ago. The bride and groom were in it too.
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/03Wedding018.jpg
And here’s the happy couple with the other people from the program and our director:
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/03Wedding022.jpg
Anyway….just thought I’d share!
Here’s the pizza we made on our First Disney Date Night:
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/04PizzaAustinandRandom005.jpg
It looks a little deformed, but it was AMAZING!
http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/04PizzaAustinandRandom006.jpg
Last night, our Mighty Disney Date Night, was great! We cooked steaks, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, and crescent rolls. YUM! For dessert, I made cool whip Jell-O.
If you have never had this, it is GREAT! You make Jell-O, and then before it’s jelled all the way, you mix in a tub of Cool Whip and put it back in the fridge. It is very good!
Then we watched The Mighty Ducks (yay!) and I worked on the countdown calendar. I’m really happy with how it turned out! After the movie, Michael helped me staple it in our ginormous closet.

http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp95/stacikristine/04PizzaAustinandRandom035.jpg
It was a great night! I get so excited every time I walk in the closet now! I love seeing the Mickey heads all in a row. Tomorrow we get to mark our first one off!

Love your friends location for their wedding and love that turquoise dress, SO pretty with your dark hair! :goodvibes
Your pizza looks amazing! We've bought pre-made crusts and put our own toppings on it before, did you make the crust too? Yummy!
Love that Disney countdown, so professional looking! Although you are an artist! I definitely need to go steal some samples!
And a final note..hands down, the Mighty Ducks is one of my all time favorite movies! Really like the 2nd one a lot too, but not so much on the 3rd one.

I just found your pre-trippie today and I have so much to comment on. I will try to go in order.
Our trip is about the same time as yours we are going September 22 - 28th. We are actually DVC members, but are staying at the POP for free dining. I will tell you that once you stay in a DVC room it is very hard to stay in a regular hotel room.
I love that you donated your hair. You have beautiful hair and it must be warming to know that it will provide such joy to someone.
You and your DH are awesome. I attend Fellowship Church here in Dallas and I am so greatful for all the staff and volunteers that go with the kids to camp and make it so wonderful for them. It looks like you and the kids had a wonderful time.
I love your countdown calendar. i won't do one for this trip as I don't want to rub it in to the kids that we are going without them. I will make one like yours for our summer trip in 2010.
I am looking forward to your next post. :yay:

The place was absolutely gorgeous, but it was SOOO hot! It took us at least an hour to cool off after we'd been out there! Thanks! I had fun making it!!
Ah, SO many things to comment on!!
Did you really quack at the principal? :rotfl:I'm going to have quotes stuck in my head all night! :rotfl2:
Thanks so much! I actually borrowed the dress from my little sis--it's good to be able to share now! ;) The pizza was SOOO good! We bought the refridgerated crust that is in the cinnamon roll and biscuit section. That pizza was extra good b/c we put mozerella, cheddar, and parmesean cheeses on it! :goodvibes Thanks--I loved making the calendar..and yes you need to go to HD! YAY :woohoo: Another Mighty Ducks fan! Yes--the second is really good. We bought it too. But the third is just blah. They should have stopped while they were ahead. :upsidedow
WOW! Those wedding pics were beautiful!! And I love your Mickey wall! HA!! I might have to go grab a few from the H.D.... :rolleyes1
P.S. You made the baby want pizza for dinner tonight! :lmao:
Isn't it a gorgeous venue? Thanks!! It's so fun to see it every time we go in there! :woohoo: Yes--go steal! hahahaha! Awesome! :thumbsup2 Did Baby get pizza?

Love the countdown calendar!! Too cute!
What part of Louisiana was the wedding in??
Thanks! It was fun to make :goodvibes The wedding was north of Baton Rouge in a little town called St Francisville. It was the cutest little town!
:yay:
:cheer2: Thanks for reading!! It's always so fun to meet someone from the DFW area! My hubby and I met at school in Dallas, and we LOVE it there! We'd like to move back someday. We're actually coming to Lewisville in a couple of weeks. We're going to stay with my uncle and his family on the 23rd and then head down to Six Flags the 24th. We're having a family reunion the next day in Allen.
How long have you owned DVC? Michael and I are going to try to start saving for it...we don't want more debt, but we'd love to be able to pay cash for it someday. That's cool that you're staying in POP--we loved it a couple of years ago! I can't wait to stay in our first deluxe!! :woohoo: We might run into each other at the parks!!
Thank you--we love what we do. It's awesome to be able to hang out with the kids and know we're investing in lives. I think some of my friends went to Fellowship Bible while we were in school. Michael and I went to FBC Irving and LOVED it.
Thanks--it was fun to make! It's awesome that you and your DH are getting to go together! I'll go over and check out your PTR! :thumbsup2
You pizza looks AMAZING! I am going to try that cool whip jello, it sounds so good and easy. Your countdown calendar looks great! Ours is very similar but only 30 days. The black mickey head was a great idea and so was the minnie. I can't wait to hear about more of your Disney Date nights.
Thanks! It was YUMMY! We love the cool whip jello thing! Let me know how it turns out! Thanks--it was fun! I'm sure you had fun with yours too! We got to cross off our first day today...YAY! I think we'll have a Mulan/Chinese Food/Fun Noodle Sword Fight night next :thumbsup2

I have been to St. Francisville. I visited the Myrtles Plantation with my grandparents...it's one of the most haunted homes in the US! :scared1: I was wondering because I live in Louisiana too. I'm west of Baton Rouge in Lafayette.

Kimmy - You've never seen Mighty Ducks??? Blasphemy! :rotfl: You could probably pick it up at Best Buy for like $5! It's a good investment. :thumbsup2
Oh goodness! It is one of the greatest movies ever!!! :rotfl: So funny. We laughed like crazy last night. You REALLY need to watch it! Jenny is right...you should be able to buy it for super cheap. We got it cheap online. I have SOO many plans! I think our next one might be Mulan. We'll order Chinese food, watch the movie, and maybe have a swim noodle sword fight! :thumbsup2 YEP! Go to the HD! They have all kinds of colors. You def. need a Mickey Head countdown calendar! ;) He's hilarious. I am constantly laughing at something he says or does! And you're welcome! ;)
Sorry guys!! I'll go pick up Mighty Ducks!! LOL
Mulan night sounds fun!! I need to find someone to have Disney Date Nights with!!
I LOVE your countdown calendar!! It looks SOO GOOD!! Its so hard for me to make scrapbook stuff now. I used to just do everything on the floor because its easier to spread it all over and now I can't do that because Landon gets into EVERYTHING!! Definitely stopping by HD though!! (Side note: At first I forgot that it was Home Depot and you said "Go to the HD!! They have all kinds of colors!" I thought you were talking about high-def tv or something and how good colors looked on that...lol...silly me!)
P.S. That wedding looked SO BEAUTIFUL!! I love weddings. You are seriously so gorgeous!!

Yay!! :yay: Watch Mighty Ducks!!! You can have fun Disney Date Nights with anyone!! I actually got the idea from a person on the boards who had them for her kids :thumbsup2 Or you can have them with friends, your parents, whoever! Thanks--it was a lot of fun to make! I bet Landon gets into everything...but have you thought about using the kitchen table? It's still big enough to spread things out. :rotfl: No...not High-Def TV. Just Home Depot. ;) The wedding was a lot of fun. Thank you! You're very sweet :flower3:

Hi there - I just caught up from like, June 1. I can't see your pictures here, unfortunately, but I also donated my hair to Pantene Beautiful Lengths, as did my husband, who had longer hair than I did at the time.
And I collected your binder information too - I need to work on mine more, so I'm getting more ideas for it!

Do you have the link to the thread? I'll have to get someone to do Disney Date Night with! They sound like too much fun NOT to do!! Oh I just thought of a cute-ish one...might be lame/cheesy though so prepare yourself. Watch Remember the Titans (which one of my guy friends says is the best Disney movie ever) and then go through all your old pictures together and talk about all your first dates and "remember" your memories together!
Landon does get into everything!! Its cute though. I have so much Disney stuff. I was thinking about pre-making some scrapbook pages and then just adding the pictures after the vacation. Do you scrapbook or just make super cute crafts? I have a whole drawer in my little craft corner devoted to Disney stuff. Stickers, punches, papers, borders, stamps, etc! I love the Disney sections at Michaels and Hobby Lobby!

Hey Staci! Sorry I haven't been around in a while. I've finally caught up on everything though! Love your countdown calendar, and I LOVE MIGHTY DUCKS too!! :)
The pics from the wedding were gorgeous. Question: So, I am scrolling through your pics, I come across one of you and the girls you roadtripped with. And I see someone I recognize. Other than you. Is it possible that you were roadtripping with Jane Owen? Jane and I went to high school together, in fact, if I am not mistaken, she was my class president. Or Student Council President. Or something like that. Like they say in the song, "it's a small world after all!"

I have an update/addition for our trip!!
Well...yesterday evening, I started looking at one of our Disney books...and I was to the tours section. When Michael got out of the shower, I told him that I thought it was probably a good thing that we weren't doing anything extra this trip so we could really just enjoy the parks and everything.
I was COMPLETELY caught off-guard when he responded with, "Well...I thought we were going to look into using some of the extra money for a cool tour or something..." :confused3
UM YES!!! I am completely ok with this!!! :woohoo:
I started reading all of the overviews of the different tours for him, and when I read about Keys To The Kingdom Tour, he got really interested! He said, "I think I would REALLY like that one. You know I'm a nerd like that." :thumbsup2
So we got online, looked at jenjolt's post about it, read some more about it, looked it up in another book, and decided YES!!!
So now we'll be going to the KTTK tour on Thursday before we go to World Showcase!
I'm so excited I could :dance3::yay::woohoo::banana:
I'm very, very glad Michael is getting into all of this now :goodvibes

Ok, so how funny is this since we were just talking about the Mighty Ducks? An older guy comes into my office, needs help finding a way up to Boston. We get to talking about hockey and he asks if I remember the Mighty Ducks movies. "Of course," I say. He asks if I remember Adam Banks? And I say "Yes, what's his name? Vinnie something..." And he says "Vinnie LaRusso. I'm his godfather." :lmao: Apparently he lives in NJ, a few towns away. He was like 'I can't believe you remember his name' and I was like 'Yeah, used to have a big crush on him. He always got picked on in the movies' :rotfl: He told me he still goes out to LA every once in awhile to act but lives in NJ. Awesome! I will die if he comes in anytime soon. :rotfl2: I just had to tell you!
