Renting a car for the day?

Has anyone rented a car for the day to go to the beach? If so how much would I be looking at for the day. We are also DC members if this helps.

Just rented at National for a three day weekend from the Car Care Center by MK with the DC discount, it was $89.85 for an intermediate car. The compact was higher for $105 for the same rental period. (May 30-June 2)
