First of all, bare with me I've never wrote a PTR or TR. I'll try my best to keep you interested!!
Now for the introductions:
My name is Brandi. I'm 25 (26 in January). I just graduated college with my B.S. in early childhood education and special education. Now I'm working on my masters. My major is educational technology with a concentration in media library. Yes, I want to be an elementary librarian!! I am married to my wonderful DH, Brad (you'll meet him in a minute). We got married in May 2006. Also, I'm a SAHM of our sweet little DS Tyson. My family knows me as the go to girl for anything Disney. A few family members have asked for my help planning a trip but nothing else has been said...yet. I try to spread the DIS news to friends and family about new offers and such.
DH 25 (Brad) works for a popular soda company as a lead merchandiser. He's a wonderful husband and father. I lucked out finding someone who gets just as excited as I do about Disney. No one gets me like he does. He's definitely still a kid at heart. He loves his XBox 360. It's usually his bedtime ritual to play Grand Theft Auto or Saints Row.
DS 20 months (Tyson) is an absolute angel...when he gets his way! No I'm kidding. He's a great baby. He's one of those huggy kissy little boys and I love it. I constantly get hugs and a "Hey Mommy" like he's just making sure I still know he's here and loves me. He is getting into the terrible twos though. I've seen a few tantrums lately and I'm learning how to deal. The thing is you kind of have to calm him down and then talk about what he did wrong. If I get him more worked up than he already is, he throws up. The dr. said it's like when a child holds their breath and passes out when angry. My son throws up. I honestly don't know which is the lesser of two evils. LOL
Here's a few pics

DH and I honeymooned at Disney in 2006. We stayed at AKL and are still waiting for the day we can afford to stay there again. Here's a couple pics of the wedding and honeymoon.

We are obsessed with Disney! I am definitely the planner. DH leaves everything to me. Of course, I include him in all the decision making because we both want to be happy with the vacation.
We decided to stay at Pop this year. I've always wanted to stay there but our last trip in June 2008 was planned spur of the moment and the only thing available was Allstar Sports. Can you believe I planned a 6 day Disney vacation including ADRs in two weeks. I still can't believe I pulled that one off. This time I'm planning way in advance. Of course Disney is not helping me because the May hours have still yet to be posted!!
We booked with the 4 get 3 deal with 8 day tickets with park hopper and the DP, which ended up costing $1609. I loved the DP on our honeymoon so I'm sure we'll love it again. DS will either eat off my plate or I'll order him something OOP. I decided to add PH because it's nice to have that luxury to go to what ever park you want and eat at any restaurant.
Things I still need to do:
Plan what day to go to each park
Plan what restaurants to eat at and which day
Plan some special things for DH (that are low cost, free, etc)
Plan some special things for DS (little gifts left by Mickey maybe)
Up next, what restaurants have I narrowed my choices down to?
Should I upgrade to a moderate?
And maybe if you want it, I'll post pics from the June 2008 trip.
Thanks for reading!! I'll be back tomorrow!

Wow! Thanks Mrs. Grumpy! I keep going back and rereading and adding more to the post. I just added info about DH and DS. I've been wanting to write a TR for a long time. It would be great to get this one going and then post a TR when I get back. I'd love that. Plus, it's nice to meet new people and become friends. Thanks so much for reading!! I'll post more tomorrow. :flower3:

We are staying at POP for the second time in September. It is just DH and I and we are in our 30's and we really enjoyed it. I also was going to go up to a moderate this next trip but decided to stick with POP. We are only there to really sleep since we are at the parks at opening and stay until they close. I couldn't justify spending more right now. I still hope to someday try one out.
I bet AKL was really nce wasn't it.

WOW! We have a lot in common! I'm an early childhood teacher and my DH LOVES XBox 360! I have to admit, I play quite a bit too! We we're married in May, 2002 and are both Disney lovers! We're heading back to WDW in May for our 7th anniversary! I can't wait to read more!
Wow your wedding pictures are beautiful! Very pretty :)
And uhh...let me take the time out to say that yes you should upgrade to a moderate...maybe CSR? LOL
Looking forward to seeing your restaurants...I am still looking for ideas on mine. I want to start looking into some neat countdown ideas as well.
Definitely post pictures from last year. Those are always fun.
Tyson sounds adorable. Rylan comes up to me when I am not feeling well and just cocks his head and says "You K mommy? You OK? You need some medicine? Medicine make you feel better?" He seriously cracks me up. Although he is slowing down on his lovey dovey stuff :( I miss that.
I am with ya on the PH...I originally wasn't going to do it because I didn't plan on park hopping all day with a 3 year old, but then I realized that I didn't want to so tightly schedule everything so that the park we visited was the same where our dinner ressies were. How much of a pain in the butt would that be...

It's good to hear you like Pop. I've wanted to stay there for a while but then I start second guessing myself. Do I want to upgrade? If I do, it will probably be at Coronado Springs. DH stayed there a lot growing up and it seems to be a fun atmosphere. I'm also feeling like you are though. I can't justify spending that much more because then we really aren't getting a deal with the stay 4 get 3. Disney would be getting more money from me then they would have and I'd just be staying in a slightly larger room with better amenities. Also, I think if we did that I'd have to take off PH and I refuse to do that. It's what I'm looking most forward to...freedom to choose! AKL was amazing. I get goose bumps just thinking about it. We didn't stay in a savannah view but the hotel is so pretty and I love all the music they play around the resort. Now if I see some kind of Africa documentary on TV and they start singing traditional songs I about start crying because it reminds me of AKL!! I'm such a softy.

We do have a lot in common. Does your DH like those games too? I'm thinking about getting DH guitar hero for christmas but I keep second guessing myself because he plays at night and DS sleeps in our bed at first then I move him to his crib, which is also in our room. DH would wake up Tyson. So I don't know if it's worth it. Sidenote: we live in an apartment that my DF added to his and mom's house so that I can afford to get my masters. I just couldn't bare the thought of working full time, taking two masters classes, being a first year teacher, and having a toddler. My parents said stay at home and just sub throughout the year. I still haven't started subbing yet. I don't like leaving Tyson!! LOL Oh and BTW isn't May the best time of year to visit Disney? Epcot is gorgeous, crowds are light, and it's not too hot yet. Also, Emily is adorable!!

My DH loves all games! As soon as they hit the store shelves, they hit our shelves! We have Guitar hero and I love it, probably more than my DH. I can understand being worried about the music waking up your DS, but then again, if Tyson sleeps like Emily, nothing will wake him up!
I was going to sub this year too, but have yet to do any. I can't imagine being away from Emily either. With my tenure, I was able to take a year off and would be guaranteed a position when I returned, but when the time came, I decided not to, I love being a SAHM!
Tyson is a cutie pie! I hope to have a boy next time around, another girl and we'll be broke for sure!!!
As far a planning goes, I can't wait for the May calendars & when the heck can I make those darned ADR's!! UGH!
Have a good night, can't wait to read about all of your planning!
Ahh I am jealous of you guys, there are days when I wish I could just quit work and continue with school but stay home with Rylan.

I'm still thinking about getting guitar hero. I just found the guitar for 9.99 on Toysrus.com. Maybe I should buy it and then try to find one of the games for sale. It was originally 59.99. What do you think? After shipping it comes up to 18.00. Still good but not 10.00!
I would have done the same thing you did and stay home. They're only young once. And honestly sometimes I miss that little baby that I could rock and love on. Now he's so independent and defiant at times. I know that's just the terrible two's creeping up. He's so loving most of the time.
I noticed that the June calendar is up but no hours so maybe May hours will be posted soon. I think I'm just going to wing it with the ADR's if the hours aren't posted before we can book.
Ahh I am jealous of you guys, there are days when I wish I could just quit work and continue with school but stay home with Rylan.
You know, I love being a SAHM so much but there is no way I could have done it without my parents. They're just wonderful and support us a lot. We don't even pay rent. I mean we offer all time to help with everything but they won't take it. I try to help them in any way I can, even if it's something little. Also, some days I'm so depressed and feel like I'm trapped at home. Maybe my husband took our car instead of his old car(96 rodeo I don't feel safe putting DS in it) or it's so much extra work to get ready while dealing with a screaming DS. It's not the best feeling when DH comes home and I'm still in my PJ's. I want to start getting out and taking DS somewhere during the day but I live in a smaller city with not a lot to do except go out to eat, to a movie or shopping. There are no safe playgrounds or parks and no cute children's museums. Plus, gangs are so much worse this year and they've been targeting women (like shooting them) as an initiation. Police haven't confirmed it but it's the talk of the town. I don't want to be alone shopping with DS and get mugged, car jacked etc. Sometimes I do wish I was subbing so at least I'd be out of the house. You know?

I'm so excited to get in on your PTR! :) Your family seems precious.
I've never done one either, and I'm going to start mine today or tomorrow! :cool1: My fiance and I are getting married in a couple of weeks, and we're already planning a trip for Sept! :yay: :yay:
As far as upgrading to a moderate, it depends on how much time you'll spend in your room...We stayed in POP a couple of years ago, and it was great. It's just great to be on-site. My cousins stayed at a moderate, and the pool was really the biggest upgrade. Have you thought about renting from a DVC owner? We're getting our AKV room for almost the same price as POP would be...
Good luck with the planning!!! :thumbsup2 I'm anxious to follow this trip with you!

I left off my report last night contemplating a switch to a moderate resort. You know I just keep talking myself out of it because of the extra money. I want to save some on this trip not spend more. If I decide to switch it will be at CSR. It seems like such a great resort and DH has stayed there before. Also the pool looks awesome!!
I called about the May hours this morning and the CM couldn't tell me a thing. She just said any day now. I've been hearing that for a while!! I wonder what the delay is though. I did notice that the June calendar is up so hopefully May will be posted soon.
I've been thinking about ADRs for the last week or so since hopefully we will all get to book ours in mid Dec. I have so many that I want to go to that it's hard to narrow it down. I'm going to list all the ones that are a must and then the ones that I have to narrow down.
Must do TS restaurants
Ohana breakfast
Chef Mickey (Already booked for May 9 for dinner)
Teppan Edo or Tokyo Dining
Le Cellier
Boma (anniversary dinner)
]
TS restaurants to choose from
San Angel Inn
Coral Reef (I like the personalized menus and diver)
Mama Melrose
50's Prime Time
Yak and Yeti
Kona Cafe
California Grill (Maybe for sushi and dessert one night)
I would love opinions on my choices. I have not ate at San Angel, 50's Prime Time, Yak and Yeti, Kona, CG or CM. Since i have park hopper it doesn't matter too much what day we eat at each restaurant.
I'm also looking for anniversary ideas.
Here are some I've thought of so far:
A small castle cake while eating at one of our restaurants. Which ones can the castle cake be delivered to?
A gift from me to DH and DS upon arrival
The personalized menu and diver at CR and the menu at CG.
That's all I've thought of so far. I'd love ideas. I'm also looking on the anniversary cakes thread.
Now for pics from May and June 2008:
First, in May we took my grandma to Daytona and decided to spend a day at MK. It was a great day. I didn't take many pics. Later that week we visited Dh's grandma in Orlando and stopped by DTD on the way back.

Love all the pics!
As far as your dining list we have only done San Angel and 50's Prime Time. 50's was a lot of fun and we are doing it again in September. San Angel we did last trip also even though I had read so many bad reviews. We actually thought it was pretty good and again had planned on doing it again on the next trip but then I saw the updated menu on All Ears and it kind of scared me. Not too many things on there that I think I would try. I am trying to get DH to try somewhere different but I think he really wants to go back so we probably will.
I think your TS choices are great. I really want to try 50s Prime Time, but mainly for the atmosphere not the food. I hate the idea of spending fifteen dollars on fried chicken! I think that will be on I will go to if Dsis comes with us.
I have heard such rave reviews of CG and if I could afford it, personally I would go just because it looks good. I have never had sushi before either and I LOVE seaweed lol.
As for upgrading resorts. It took me a LONG time to decide to upgrade. For me, I was willing to shell out the extra $300 for the upgrade because I know we will probably spend more time in the room than most. The fridge and coffee pot were a must, which would have added another $100 onto my value cost. I also liked the bus system at CSR plus the deluxe amenities. Its all personal taste though..I just wanted a room a little bit bigger than pop had and sucked it up and finally did it lol.
Curious to see what you decide, but either way you are sure to have a blast!

I'd do Teppan Edo over Tokyo Dining...it was amazing when we went a couple of years ago!
I've heard that Coral Reef is SO good, and the personalized menus are great! (PS what is the cost for this, and how do you plan for it?)
I've also heard that San Angel is NOT good.
50's PTC is a lot of fun. But the food isn't the greatest in the world. And the crabby lady might scare your son.
Have you thought about Breakfast with Pooh at MK? You can get into the park early and take a picture in front of the Castle. Plus, it's a really good buffet.
I've heard Mama Melrose is to die for....we went to Tony's in MK and it was really good as well...
I'm getting excited even thinking about you and your family enjoying these great restaurants!! :yay:

I had just two weeks to book and plan a 6 day trip to Disney. We stayed at ASSp, which I really liked. Check in was quick and easy. The CM gave us the fridge for free since DS needed it to keep his milk cold. She considered it a medical need. Tyson got a pirate balloon from her also. They did not have us down for a King even though I requested it. I mentioned that to the CM and she took care of that too. Next we went to the concierge desk to get our tickets. We had only booked a room only deal. The CM was really nice and soon we were on our way to the car to drive around to our room. We were so glad that the parking was close to the room because I couldn't be much help carrying anything. I carried what I could and Tyson, then stayed inside to watch him while Brad went to get our luggage.
On the way to Disney

Entertaining a bored DS (He was tearing up tissue paper and putting it in a tupperware container LOL. How much more redneck can we be? But it keeps him busy at home while I'm cooking so I figured I'd give it a shot.

This was on our bed when we checked in!

After relaxing for a while we decided to go to EMH at MK. We left around 7 for the bus. There was a really nice family in line from S. Carolina that kept talking to Tyson. We saw them later that night too. By the end of the night, DH and I agreed that it's easy for DS to make friends. He calls out to people and wants them to say hey. If you're a girl and standing by him, he'll try to grab your hair to pet you. He doesn't pull it. He just holds it because he thinks hair is pretty. I had to stop him several times from doing this.
The park attendance was average for June. I personally don't like going in June but any time is a good time for Disney. We rode some rides and then decided to eat at Cosmic Ray's. I love this CS restaurant. People have mixed views about it but I always have to eat there once or twice. We watched fireworks but missed the parade. We realized later that the parade runs again around midnight. I never knew that. We met Pluto and got his autograph. Unfortunately I can't show the pics because you can see my white bra right through my shirt.:scared1: I wondered why the CM looked at me funny after he took the pic for us. A couple took a pic of us in front of the castle right after meeting Pluto. I strategically placed my arm in front of me so the pic would be usable. I didn't want another bra shot!
Strategic pose
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y95/Victoria83/HPIM1721.jpg
We left the park around 1:30 and got back to the hotel around 2 am. Tyson had got his second wind by then and I have hilarious video of him running around the room and being hyper. He was laughing and just happy to be there. He finally went to sleep soon after.
The next morning we went to AK. I couldn't get up early enough to make it to rope drop. I think we got there around 10 am. We went straight and got fast passes for the safari. I had never done it before so it was the most important. Thanks to a fellow Dis'er, we had matching shirts for the whole week. It's the first time I have ever done this and it made the trip even more special. Here's pics from AK

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y95/Victoria83/HPIM1722-3.jpg
He's never seen Lion King and had no clue who Rafiki is. Needless to say he was freaked out a bit.
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y95/Victoria83/HPIM1724.jpg
I love DS's facial expressions. He's saying "Get me outta here!"
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y95/Victoria83/HPIM1725.jpg
Pal Mickey came along for the day in his Safari gear. Can you tell Ds was hot and tired? This is on the train to Rafiki's Planet watch (or something like that)

Mickey and DS look at fish in Africa
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y95/Victoria83/HPIM1729.jpg
He finally knocks out right before the FP time for the safari ride. I wanted to go on in because we would be done around the time for the parade.
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y95/Victoria83/HPIM1731.jpg
Later that evening we meet Donald (DS didn't like him much)
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y95/Victoria83/HPIM1732.jpg
and Goofy
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y95/Victoria83/HPIM1733.jpg
After that we left the park to take a nap and eat. We decided to come back for EMH that night. Well after DS ate, he was knocked out. We decided to take a nap too. We didn't wake up until 9. :sad1: Oh well, we did get some much needed rest and decided to just stay in and get up bright and early.
Little did I know that mother nature had different plans for the next day.
Ever ran in crocs with a stroller covered with your poncho to save the stuff inside from getting wet while your husband runs and holds your baby in a lightning storm? LOL we did. Never again will I drive to the parks to avoid the buses. :headache:

First of all, congratulations and thanks for reading my PTR!!! That is so exciting. Are you going on your honeymoon now or is the Sept. trip your honeymoon? I'm so excited for you. I really wanted a Christmas wedding but with school it was hard to plan it around Christmas. Thanks for the compliments. I think they're precious too!! :lovestruc I agree about the hotel. You're mainly paying more for the pool, which are wonderful but we don't really use them at all. I've never been in a pool at Disney. I don't really know what goes into renting. But I got that 4/3 deal so I'm probably saving by going this way instead of DVC. However, I would LOVE:love:  to stay at AKL again. Can you fill me in on how to rent?
Love all the pics!

50's does seem fun. It's traditional home cooking types of foods right? I'm going to look at the menu again. I've heard bad reviews for San Angel too. It's just so pretty inside that I want to eat there! I'm going to look at the new menu.
I think your TS choices are great. I really want to try 50s Prime Time, but mainly for the atmosphere not the food. I hate the idea of spending fifteen dollars on fried chicken! I think that will be on I will go to if Dsis comes with us.

I looked at the prices of the sushi at CG a minute ago...:scared1: Who spends $18 on a California roll? It better be so big that it fills up my whole plate for that price. I really want to eat there because I heard the sushi is great but wow that's a steep price tag. I love seaweed salad too! It's great at Tokyo dining.
I am in a fridge swap for Pop that's been going for two years now. The lady who owns it is really nice and it's actually free. You just have to make sure you pass it along to the next person or make sure it goes into Disney storage safely. I hope no one loses it before May!
YUMMY! I love Disney Dining!

:yay:
I'm thinking Teppan Edo too. We have ate at Tokyo Dining and it was great but I want to try the hibachi grill. Coral Reef is awesome. On our honeymoon our table was on the left corner of the tank. We had a little fish protecting his rock our entire dinner. It was so funny seeing him fight off big fish. The Chocolate Wave cake is amazing and the CM gave me the recipe. I still haven't made it and don't know where the recipe is. As far as the menu goes, i think you contact this lady (Debbie maybe?) about two months before your trip. You email her pics and what the special occasion is along with your ADR and confirmation #. It's free and the menus are so cute. As far as I know the diver is free, unless they start charging next year (I'm just speculating. I haven't heard that at all but you know how it is. It's the Celebrate year and Disney could see this as an opportunity to make more money.) I don't care for CP. I either caught a bad virus or had food poisoning right after eating there on our honeymoon. I was sick from Tuesday to Saturday. I probably should have gone to the hospital for an IV but I was too stubborn. I just can't bare even looking at that place...bad memories. Mama Melrose is great and the more I think about it the more I am leaning on making it a must do!! Can't I get the fantasmic package? Is it still one TS or two?

Hi, came over from hlrababy, enjoying it so far. :)
I wish I was going in May. It must be so pretty during the F&G Festival.
Your wedding dress was so beautiful. So princess like. Your DS is a cuttie.
I was a SAHM for 6yrs, and I can relate to being a little bored. I was so happy when DS started school and I could volunteer there.
Did I see a Burberry bag in one of the pics? Very nice pics by the way. ;)
I love coming in at the begining of a PRE TR, I really enjoy the planning stage, making ADR's and deciding what to do when. I am a PHopper fan too, it's so worth it.
I havn't been to San Angels or 50's Prime Time, so I'm no help. I would agree, Coral Reef was a very good meal. :thumbsup2
The Fantasmic package with MM is 1 credit, just counts as a normal TS :)
Seems like both of our kids are major flirts. All Rylan did last Friday when we were out to eat was dance and smile at the people behind us.
I also think I might have to look further into the Asian dining. I absolutely love the food.

Hey!! I'm so glad you came over! I thought it would be neat to add pics from the last trip since I never made a TR for that vacation. I hope it will be a way for people to get to know us while I plan for the next trip. I love taking pictures now that I have a better camera. It gives a lot clearer picture. It's an HP but I don't know which one. Overall, I like it but sometimes the screen goes fuzzy and I have to take out the battery and put it back for it to work. It's annoying. I missed a picture of Tyson and Stitch because of that camera messing up. Good thing DH had the video camera on. I'm glad you're reading my report. I can't wait for more of yours. Thanks for the compliments! You are so sweet!

Yay! Thanks for coming over!! May is a great time to go! Epcot really is beautiful and I love the butterfly house.
I was so in love with my wedding dress. I love the little details of pink all in it. There was actually a Diser that was getting married at Disney around the time I was getting married and she had my dress. I thought that was neat. Maybe one day I'll lose weight and fit into it again!! :sad2:
Yes, that's my only Burberry bag! I really like the bag and get a lot of compliments about it. She is a patchwork Nova check bag that originally sold for $595 and I got her for $295. Can't beat that price. Plus I got her at a regular Burberry store and not the outlet. Sales are usually not that good there. I have one bad thing to say about the bag though or Burberry PVC bags in general. It soaks up colors from your clothes, especially jeans. I have a horrible stain on it where I kicked it with new pair of shoes on and the black rubber soaked into the bag. I've tried to get it out but it's not going to happen. I have come to the conclusion that this purse is going to get stained and I have to just wipe it all the time with baby wipes.
Oh and I love taking pictures so I'll be posting a lot in the TR after our vacation in May. This past trip I took tons of video but not many pics. How do you load video onto the internet? I have them on DVD. There has to be a way to load them for ya'll to see. I've got some cute stuff. I'm really looking forward to Coral Reef. I'm marking San Angel off my list, I think.

Aww that's so cute! He sounds just like Tyson. I'm glad to know that the fantasmic package is just one credit. That will be added to the must do. I don't like fighting the crowds to get a good seat at fantasmic. When we had the package during our honeymoon, we were front row at fantasmic and only arrived about 20 minutes before the show. I think they need to have a package for the Nemo musical. I was in the nose bleed section last time. Tyson started acting up because he couldn't see a thing.
Definitely check out Tokyo dining or Teppan Edo. I have a local Japanese restaurant that we go to every two weeks for sushi here in town. I love the place because it's so pretty and reminds me of a Disney restaurant. Sometimes I'll go to new places that have no affiliation with Disney but it reminds me of it in some way.

What days will you be at WDW? We'll be there 5/9-5/16 and have an ADR at Chef Mickeys for breakfast on the 10th (our anniversary & mother's day). For dinner, we are eating at CG..YUMMY!!! I highly recommend it!
I'm also planning something for my DH for our anniv. I think I'm having a cake delivered to our room while we're at CG. I'm also having this delivered to our room for arrival for my DD http://www.ftdfloristsonline.com/waltdisneyworldflorist/pages/magicalwelcomes/display

OMG!! Us too!! May 9 to 16th at Pop!! Yay I smell a Dis meet for me you and Kara then our kids can play for a little while. Maybe meet at that little playground by Winnie the Pooh? Just a thought.:dance3: :dance3: :woohoo: :yay: I'm so excited!
Wow! The grand welcome is amazing! It's not quite in my budget. I wish so much I could do that! I want that Mickey.:lovestruc Our ADR for CM is at 7:35 on the 9th. I haven't planned what we'll do on mothers day. I know we'll go to Epcot more than likely and then head over to MK. I thought about the mothers day brunch at Epcot but I decided against it. When is your anniversary? Mine is May 13. I'm going to try to get an ADR for wed, May 13 for Boma since that's where we ate our first night at Disney on our honeymoon. We also got to eat there again this year on our anniversary. The cake delivery is such a good idea!! Where are you staying? Will they deliver to Pop? I want a cake from the GF bakery. Maybe I'll get it delivered while we're at Boma. Hmm so much to think about! I love it!

I just looked at the Disney florist site. I think that I'm going to start buying little Disney items as they go on sale at Disneyshopping.com and at walmart and target. By May I'll have a whole basket of things for DH and DS. I can add all kinds of snacks too. Then when we get down there I can go to the Pop gift shop and buy a big Mickey. I'll ask the concierge to place it in our room once we leave for CM on the first night. It will be great!! Do you think the concierge desk will do that. It might be policy not to. If so I'll have to find a way to be sneaky. I can sneak all the items and basket on the drive to FL because DH does not pack anything. I do it all. I don't mind though because I'm anal about that stuff. I stay up all night before we leave and finish packing. Next time DH said he wants to load the car the night before. It's a good idea because that takes an extra hour or more with all of Tyson's stuff, coolers, strollers, etc. So what do you think about me making one myself?

How fun! We'll definatly have to hook up! We are staying at the Poly, I can't wait! We've never stayed there before, but we spent 2 weeks in French Polynesia for our HM, so we thought it would be appropriate to stay at the Poly for our anniv., which is May 10th! I know the Poly has their own bakery, but I'm not sure about the Pop. If the Pop can't get you a cake, I know the GF bakery will deliver, but they charge a fee to do so. Planning is so much fun, isn't it!?!

Oh yes, planning is so much fun. I really would love to be a Disney travel agent. That would be the best job, at least I think it would. You lucky lucky girl...I want to stay at Poly so bad but right now we can't afford it. It's my fave resort along with AKL. I wonder how much the GF bakery charges for delivery. Maybe I'll just get a cake from the AKL bakery to be delivered after our anniversary dinner and we can just take it back to the room. I wonder if their cakes are good. Probably not as pretty and yummy as GF and Poly though.

Thanks! :yay: I'm pretty excited. We're going on a smaller vacation now--1 night in a hotel about an hour from home, 3 nights in a honeymoon cabin in the mtns nearby, home for Christmas, then another night in "the city" (can you tell I'm from a small town?!) and hanging out and doing winter stuff. But since it's scattered around and we're not spenging much on it at all, we're taking our Disney trip in Sept.
I LOVE all of the pics you're showing of your family. Tyson is adorable :) and you and your DH are such a cute couple  I can't wait to follow your trip!
Smart--the 4/3 deal will be GREAT!!! :thumbsup2 As far as renting goes, just go to the DVC section on the main DISboards page. Click on "Rent/Trade" and either search for something that would work for you (different people post what they have available--some are points for rent, some are actual reservations) or you can make your own post and try to see if anyone has what you need. They have charts to tell you how many points you need. I don't know where to find these online...I have some if you'd like me to email them to you. And then the DVC owner makes the ressie for you, and you can add DP or ME. It's working GREAT for us bc we couldn't afford to stay in a Deluxe otherwise! :cloud9:

I'm so sad and mad! I don't know if I'll ever buy another bag from them. The bag lasted 5 months. I talked to the manager and I'm taking back the bag tomorrow. Thanks!! I'm almost positive I made an A in the school improvement class and a B in instructional design. I don't do well in online courses. I need someone to lecture and discuss the material for me to truly soak it in. I'm a visual/auditory/linguistic learner. I do best when I hear the teacher explain it, see visuals like a power point and take notes. LOL I'm so excited to be done with my first semester in graduate school. Yes! It drives me nuts when he doesn't fall asleep until 11 or 12 and then wakes up at 6 or 7 am. I'm wondering why he just won't sleep like he use to. I am proud of him though. He's been sleeping in his crib for 2 weeks now and he even took naps in it this week and slept for at least an hour or more each time. I'm a very happy person to have my bed back and free time while he naps instead of holding him for two hours. Can you tell I give in to what he wants? Not anymore I'm going to keep on chugging along and doing what is best for him instead of what he cries for. I did like having him sleep with us but he's too big now and it just scares me that something will happen during the night like him suffocating. So I rest so much better now knowing he's completely safe.

Hi! I'm back! I got a HP Pavilion dv5-1125nr notebook computer. I love it. It's so much faster and lighter than my other computer. I got it at Best Buy for 799 but once you add the 2 year accidental and maintenance plan and taxes it ended up being 1,135. I know it's really expensive but all the HP computers I wanted were in the 675 to 800 range. So there was no way to keep it under 1000. I got the coverage plan because Tyson is clumsy and also cranky. He'll get mad and throw his sippy cup or something. If he cracks the screen or spills a drink on it, it's covered and they'll fix it. I think it's worth it since he's so young and he always has access to the computer. I'm trying to get him out of throwing things. He randomly throws trucks and stuff in the air. I'm so scared he'll crack his head open, bust the tv or my computer. I used my stafford loan money to by it. I'll worry about saving up money to pay OOP for my last semester later. I'll try to start saving it up so it doesn't creep up on us. I'm going to look and see where I left off on my TR and post more pics.

When I left off, we were leaving Animal Kingdom with plans to come back for EMH. Unfortunately we were all so tired that we slept later that evening than we planned and didn't return to the park.
The next day we went to Epcot!! This is DH's and my favorite park. I really love it. We made it to the park around 10:00 am and went straight to Soarin. Tyson fell asleep in the stroller by the time we got to Living with the Land so Brad stayed upstairs. A nice CM let him bring the stroller inside and he sat on those benches located right inside the door. I ran downstairs and tried to get a baby swap ticket for DH to use after I was done. The CM gave it to me but let me know that next time he needs to actually see the baby. LOL I didnt think about that. But Tyson was asleep and there was no way I was going to wake him up. I'll remember that next time though. I stood in line for about 30 minutes and then got on the ride. It was so much fun. This was my first time but I love it so much! It's my new favorite ride. By the time I got back to Brad, Tyson was wide awake and angry. I gave Brad the baby swap pass and I went to walk Tyson. We strolled outside and looked at birds. Then he had a bad diaper and conveniently there was a family bathroom right by the sign that says all the wait times near living with the land. Here's a tip from me to you..if you have a child in diapers, it is easier to take them in the family bathroom because DH or who ever is with room can come in to help. Then you can put baby back in the stroller and go to the bathroom yourself. I preferred these bathrooms over taking him to the baby care center (which was also a great place to change him)
Brad found me and we headed over to the Nemo ride. This was the first time on this ride for all of us too. It was wonderful! I think during the whole week we rode this ride 3 times. When this family in front of us was getting on the ride, the grandma almost fell on that moving belt. She didn't realize it was moving when she stepped on and she kept trying to grabbed the wall and get back to the solid floor. It was horrible and funny at the same time. I felt bad for her but I felt like yelling, "just stand up. you'll be ok!" LOL
After that it was time for our ADR at Garden Grill. We were seated after waiting about 15 minutes. The room was not rotating when we were there. I guess they were having problems. The characters there were Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale. Tyson was in a foul mood. I have video of him crying at Pluto and throwing food on the floor. My plan next trip is to have sit down meals around 7 pm instead of lunch. We'll eat at CS for lunch when he's usually cranky. The food was good but nothing special. The CM asked if I wanted nuggets for him. I told her no he could eat from my plate plus I brought jars of gerber foods. She brought it anyway. I accepted thinking she just brought it to be nice. Tyson didn't touch it and Brad ate most of it. We got our bill and guess what? You guessed it.. a child's meal was charged on our bill even though I didn't ask for it. :scared1: :headache: We were paying OOP and I was so angry. But I felt like I couldn't say anything since DH ate it. I probably shouldn't have thought it was just part of our meals but I really did. Other restaurants have done that at Disney. What makes me angry is that I said no and she did it anyway and charged us. I won't be going back there. I have a few pictures of Tyson coloring at Garden Grill but no characters because we just videoed instead.

After we left GG, we went over to figment. I love this ride and I miss being able to take a pic with figment. I think Tyson liked it too. After that we toured the countries. First we went to Canada. Brad took a random pic of me and Tyson by the waterfall.

Looking at this pic reminds me that we stopped at shop and bought Tyson that little phone. He loves it. It turns out they sell it at Walmart so I bought another one and then I found one as a stocking stuffer for christmas from Target. He breaks them so it's good to have back up.
Then we met Mary Poppins and Alice. I love them! We decided to go in the shops and guess who we found...Pooh, Tigger, and Eeyore. I gave Tyson a bottle while sitting in that little sitting room by the room to meet Pooh and friends. If you've been in there you know what I'm talking about. It's like up three little stairs and looks like a little book room. He fell asleep. I still wanted our pic with Pooh. I told Tigger that he's Tyson's favorite but that Ty was sleepy and couldn't wait. Tigger got Pooh to crouch near the stroller. It's one of my favorite pictures.

Alice was great. She was running through the garden and calling for the white rabbit. I think she was also being evaluated by a Disney manager or something. The older CM was standing there with a clipboard and writing things.
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y95/Victoria83/HPIM1742.jpg
A very bad storm started coming up and we knew it may be time to go back to the room for a while. I have a pic of the storm behind the big fountain.

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y95/Victoria83/HPIM1746.jpg
By the time we got to the parking lot (we drove that day) it was pouring. Brad was holding Tyson and I was pushing the stroller. I put my poncho on the stroller to keep our stuff dry. It was so scary. Lightning was striking all over the place. When we got back to ASsp we had to sit in the car for 20 min and finally just ran to the room. We waited and waited for the storm to pass but it didn't severe storms were right over Disney and the orlando news said that it's uncommon for it to hover over Disney like that. We even had tornado watches. We ordered a pizza that night from the ASsp CS restaurant. It was very expensive for one pizza. To our disappointment, it tasted like a DiGiorno (sp?) frozen pizza. The crust was great though so I think they make the dough and then use frozen precut veggies. I won't get it again.
Up next, breakfast at Ohana, rope drop at MK, and a great day at MK.

That sounds like fun. I want us to be a Family of the Day! Don't you have to be there at rope drop for that? I loved the catfish. I asked for seconds. Of course, I'm a country girl and that's something I eat at most restaurants around here.

BTW, guess what? We get to go to Disney on Ice next week!!! Yay! and even better its free!! My FIL is the lead anchorman for the local television station. They are the sponsors for Disney on Ice and get free tickets. So he's giving them to us. I asked if they wanted to take him (secretly hoping they didn't) and they said no we could go. Yay! I wanted to be nice and ask since they are giving us the tickets. I'm very excited.

Hey! Well, I'm going through torture right now. I'm having a colonoscopy tomorrow morning so you can guess where I've been all evening:rotfl2: ..yeah I know TMI. I'm finally laying down resting now though. Hopefully I won't have any polyps. Dad had colon cancer at 34 so this is something I should have had a couple years ago. My brother who's 21 had a colonoscopy and he had a precancerous polyp that would have been cancer in 2 to 5 years. Scary stuff!

Hello everyone! All is well here in GA! LOL Sorry I've disappeared. I love Christmas but it wears me out. I'm more laid back and don't like having plans everyday and every weekend. The colonoscopy went well. I have diverticulosis, which is pockets in your colon from not eating much fiber. It's ok though. I'm going to do better.
So I'm thinking about doing Nutrisystem. What do ya'll think? I use to be 145 and gained a ton while pregnant. Tyson's 20 months old and I weigh 220. I want to be a cute size again. I have no self control on my own and will cheat easily. At least with nutrisystem I know we're spending a lot of money and cheating would just be wasting it. So I'd probably stick to the plan. What should I do? My goal is to lose 8 to 10 lbs a month. So in May I would be between 180 and 170. By August I would be my old self again.

Yeah! You're back!! Glad you are doing better! I hear ya on the weight gain. I gained too many extra pounds with DD! I don't know anything about Nutrisystem though...Sorry!
I was thinking about setting up a small photopass share for a few of us that are going to be in WDW that same week. Kara's interested in sharing too. It's a great way to get all of those great photopass pics at a fraction of the cost! Let me know!
Let's here some more pre-trippie stuff!! I might have to jump on the band wagon and start my own pre-trippie!

Glad to hear all is well after the check-up. :thumbsup2
I have weight to loose too, more than you do. I havn't looked into Nutrasystem. I have a co worker who lost 60 pds on Weight Watchers this past year. I may decide to do that or just exercise and eat better on my own. I'm going to WDW in August so I'd like to get started right after Xmas. I put on alot of weight after my marriage fell apart. I'm finally ready to get rid of it. I'd love to be healthier and slimmer in 2009. We could be encouragement for each other. ;)

Yes! I'm finally back. I have finished my Christmas shopping! So I'll be slowing down now and enjoying the rest of the holidays.
I wish I could join the photopass share but I already joined one like a month ago and since she went ahead and bought the CD I paid her. Bertegirl is running that one. I'm sorry!! :sad1:
I wish I could plan more but without knowing the May hours I'm at a stand still. I do have park hoppers but I still want to use the EMH to schedule where we eat. It does seem we will be eating at Epcot more than any other park. Also, I don't think we'll eat at a TS inside MK. IMO none of them are good enough to waste my TS credit on. However, I'm sure CP is good for breakfast. Dinner was nasty. Here's my new list:
Saturday: Arrive, go to Chef Mickey...then to the park with EMH
Sunday Mother's Day: Going to Epcot, CS for lunch, Le Cellier for dinner
Monday: Ahona breakfast at Poly, MK, Cosmic Ray's for late lunch, eat at Pop that night OOP
Tuesday: Hollywood Studios, CS for lunch maybe ABC Commissary, Mama Melrose for dinner Fantasmic package
Wednesday: Animal Kingdom, Pizzafari or Flame Tree BBQ for lunch, Boma for dinner (Anniversary)
Thursday: MK, Pinocchio Village Haus, we may go to Coral Reef for dinner
Friday: Epcot again, CS for lunch, Tappen Edo for dinner
Saturday: Go to all four parks and ride our fave rides, no clue where to eat
What do you think?

Thanks! I'm glad it went well too. That's awesome that she lost weight with WW. I don't like counting points. We need to lean on each other and help encourage each other to lose weight. I'm definitely starting nutrisystem. My mind is set. I just have to save money to afford it.

Ugh I know how you feel about the weight gain. Pre Rylan I was around 115 lbs, maybe 120 max. After I had him, I was 160lbs for almost a year after he was born...I lost about 30 lbs all at once then when my ex fiance and I broke up I gained about 20 lbs back. Depending on which scale I step on, I weigh between 140-150lbs. Its all in my thighs and belly. I am lucky, because most people can't tell I weigh that much...but I REALLY want to get down to at least 135 for Disney. This past summer I felt great in my bikini and want to feel that way again. I have to figure something out. Starting January I am working on a new me! We will have to cheer each other on :)

Well you look beautiful but I know what you mean. When you find a weight you are comfortable at, you want to stay that size and any gain is bad. It's like I feel like I'm not me anymore.
So I have stupid bad news. I'm an idiot. I pet a stray cat and it bit me. I have two puncture wounds on my right pinky and ring finger. I washed it with soap and water, put alcohol on it, and neosporin. I'm going to the urgent care at 8 am. I've had a tetunus shot but I'll need antibiotics and probably rabies shots. I'm such a dumb sucker for a pretty cat or dog. Ugh!!:headache: My fingers are hot and kind of throb. I hope one round of medicine fixes it. I read about people being hospitalized from cat bites but maybe they waited to long to see a dr. This happened at 9:40 pm so I'll see the dr. a little over 9 hours after it happened. Any of ya'll have experience with cat bites? Oh I also found out I have to call animal services and they will try to capture the cat and quarantine it.

I'm so sorry to hear about your cat bite. I hope it goes okay.
I just wanted to say hi. I stumbled upon your PTR as I am waiting for my DD to fall back to sleep. We are going taking our first trip May 1-10 at the Poly. My DD is 17 months old and I am a SAHM. I absolutely get what you mean about getting out of the house. I'm having a much harder time now that it's cold here. I also have my degrees in elementary and special ed. I want to get my master's but right now we are saving for a house. You have to keep us posted on Nutrisystem if you do it. I, too, am at 220 after having DD and I so want it to be gone. I think staying home is a big part of my problem. I'm making myself a Disney poster to keep track of food and exercise after Jan 1st, so that by the time we go I'll be happier with myself. I don't want to go on my first trip to the world and hate all the pics.
Can't wait for your next update. What are you planning to have DS sleep in? My DD will not sleep in a PNP, so I'm trying to decide what to do with her.
Oh man, that sucks about the cat bite! Hopefully it doesn't turn into anything big.
Weight wise- I totally get it! I feel like I am not me sometimes, too. I am not ginormous by any means...and a lot of people here at home try to tell me I don't need to lose anything, but they don't have to see me in a bathing suit! It BLOWS fluctuating from size 5 to 11 all year long! Oh well, we are hot mommas anyway!
Also- not to hijack, but a PP had a question about sleeping arrangements. I just wanted to say I arranged for bedrails at our resort. DS will sleep in a pnp by himself, but not when he is in the same room. We will share a bed and just have the bedrails. Although I dont have a DH to squeeze in there as well :lmao:

Hi!! I'm so glad you are reading my PTR. I'm sorry I haven't written more but this week is just crazy and I don't have enough time to sit down and post pics right now. I'll finish the info from the June trip next weekend or next week.
The cat bite is fine. My pinky hurts a little bit but the dr. said it will be fine. My fingers did not swell much at all. I'm on antibiotics now and I already got a tetenus shot for school in Aug. The dr. doesn't think I need rabies shots since it's a neighborhood cat that we've seen around before. I think we are going to capture him and take him to the pound since he does not have a collar and none of the neighbors claimed him. I know it's my fault for petting him, which was my choice to do, but Tyson doesn't know better and i don't want the cat biting him. I mean of course I would be watching Tyson while outside but who's to say the cat might not sneak up on us? Anyway, I just can't have him around the house anymore.
Thanks for sharing with me that you are going through the same struggles with staying at home and with weight. I think one problem I have is I sit for too long. I find it so difficult getting ready while Tyson is tugging on me and crying. He will watch TV for a little while but right when I'm blow drying my hair he gets bored and goes nuts.
I'm starting nutrisystem in Jan. so I'll let you know. The poster is an awesome idea!
About the sleeping arrangements, Tyson slept in between DH and I when we went in June. He was 14 months at the time. He will not sleep in a PAP. We requested a king bed, which they did not give us and we had to request again when checking in. They will give you a king bed if you have only one child which is under 3. Bed rails are also a great idea if your child will sleep in a new bed without you. Tyson won't.
Welcome! Stay with me and keep reading. I love new friends.

Thankfully the cat bite will be fine, but I definitely learned my lesson. :rotfl:
I definitely see where your coming from about the weight. To me, going from a 5 to 11 is just as frustrating as going from an 8 to a 18. It hurts and you have to deal with the fact that your body has changed. The difference is that my health is greatly at risk with being 220 lbs because of high blood pressure. I think at this weight I'm clinically obese so it's definitely an eye opener that something's got to change. The other day I didn't take my BP pill and that night my face and arm went numb. It scared the daylights out of me. I'm too young to have a stroke.
The bedrails are a great idea.:thumbsup2

Plan looks good! I think we'll be at the same parks on Wed. Thurs. & Fri! Of course, my plans are tentative until the hours are posted. UGH!! All of your dining options sound good too! We have eaten at all but LeCellier, that's on our list this time around. Your DS will enjoy Teppan Edo. We have taken DD to Benihana's and she had fun watching the chef.
GREAT! Let's hope our plans don't change once the hours come out. I'm so upset that we won't be able to make ADR's until January. It just stinks. So did you like all the restaurants I chose? I think that I am going to take Tyson to a local hibachi grill Japanese restaurant to see how he reacts. Should I go for early dinners? Like 6 or 7?

I think most of the deluxe resorts have daybeds. Last time we stayed at the BC & this time we'll be at the Poly. Emily will either sleep on the day bed with a rail or one of the queens with rails. DD has slept in her own bed since she was born so it's not an issue for her. She started in a PNP in our room for the first week. She slept in her crib/toddler bed until she turned 2 in July. Now she has a full size bed with bed rails.
I'm bumbed about the ADR update too. I'm also peeved the hours for May haven't beed posted. Maybe Disney started lay offs and the calendar updater was the first to go!:rotfl:
I like all of your resaurant choices. I know sometimes you read reviews on these boards for specific restaurants and start to second guess your choices, but I can honestly say, I have never had a bad meal at Disney. Maybe I'm just easy....well, that's another story!!!:rotfl2:
As far as dinner times, I'd stick to what is normal for you. We normally don't eat until around 7, so my ADR's are usually between 7-8. We are not morning people, even on vacay, we struggle to make it out the door by 11am!

Ohhh, I want to see it! Mom got me a very cute black leather Coach purse and my Tom Ford sunglasses. DH gave me a gorgeous diamond necklace, my burberry scarf that I've already been wearing (haha) and the Brookstone Be Digital Pocket Pix. MIL gave me a $50 gc to Sephora, a Brookstone Nap pillow, an anna lee doll, and laptop lap table. Plus I got some fun little stuff in my stockings including the unofficial guide to DW and the Birnbaum pocket parks guide.:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
Thanks! I hope yours was wonderful. What did your DS get?
He got so much...and most of it was from me LOL. My dad bought him a Circo train table and bought a crap ton of Thomas and Friends train cars and a track. He got tons of books, and a floor alphabet train puzzle thing. I bought him a Diego doll, Handy Manny doll, Yo Gabba Gabba/Wonder Pets/Handy Manny figurine sets, coloring books, dinosaurs, hot wheels, hot wheels tracks, LOL. He made out. I am now trying to sell some of our old stuff! Did Tyson get way too much stuff? Rylan saw clothes as presents and just tossed them to the side while he ripped through another present. Now, every morning, he tells me he wants to open his presents :headache: I have created a monster!
That purse is super cute and that's awesome it is discounted that much!!
I posted on my PTR that I extended the trip and changed the dates to the 9th-19th...so I believe we arrive the same day now? Woohoo its almost 2009!

Wow! It sounds like Rylan and Tyson got a lot of the same stuff. Tyson got a few Thomas DVDs, a Thomas phone, Thomas Train, Thomas boat for the bath, a bounce and spin pony that hooks up to the tv, a wiggles book with a music player that plays alot of the songs(he carries the music player everywhere) a power wheels atv, a mickey mouse bean bag chair, an alpaca bear (love him!!), a big stuffed animal sheep dog, a vtech laptop, the little people plane and town, bunches of little people, books, clothes, blocks, wooden puzzles, and so much little stuff. I am actually using money from DH's grandma to buy some cubbies to categorize this stuff. I was planning on printing out pictures and the name and laminating it with contact paper, like a pic of cars and then the word cars. That way I can teach him to clean up and to associate the car with the word.
Isn't the purse cute? I'm glad ya'll think it is.
Yay! We're arriving the same day! I'll talk more to you about that on your PTR.

Well, we did really good on the necklace. Whitehall jewelers is going out of business and all stores were marking down all the jewelry. My necklace was originally $700 and we got it for $240. I'm glad you like the bag too. I know it's loud but I just think its so fun!!

Yay!! We decided that we could afford it by taking off the dining plan for now, then last minute (at least three days before the trip) adding on the DP and paying for it at that time. That way we have an extra month and a half to come up with the money. I'm so excited. We honeymooned at AKL so I'll probably cry when we get there!! It just has such a homey comfy atmosphere. I love sitting at the fire pit too. I'm happy with our decision. This is going to be our dream vacation.

Yay!! We're going this year!!! Awesome!
I had to figure out a way for us to afford AKL so this is the only way. It still makes sense to have the DP of course because, depending on how you eat, it does save money. I like to look at it this way, yes I could eat for less but with the dining plan I can pick any entree I want on the menu without worrying how much it cost. If I want the $30 meal at Le Cellier, I can choose it instead of the cheeseburger. LOL Does that make sense? It lets me choose what I'd like instead of what is affordable. Plus I can use the snack credits for Tyson's meals, like fruit and stuff from the CS (Mara) at AKL.
Can you believe we got that necklace for that price? I really look for good deals. It's so pretty. I'll post pics when I can.

Oh my goodness, its been a while since I posted!! How did it go? I hope that it went well!!!
Hey girl!!!!! I hear ya! I am still tired from Christmas!
I had thougth about joining Nutrisystem. Have you started it yet? If so, please pm me what you think and all!

Joining in!!!!!!!!!:surfweb: We kinda, sorta talked on the cake thread last May. I had the nasty cake and you were thinking about ordering a cake for Boma for your anniversary.
We will be back May 15-22 this year. We are staying in the Cabins at Fort Wilderness since there will be 6 of us this year.
I am loving your report and Tyson is such a cutie.
I also have to comment on your diet plans. I started my diet in September and so far, with a little help, have lost 32 lbs. I started at 210 and I still have a long way to go. I only wish I could be back at the 125 I was at before I started having kids............:rotfl2: :lmao: Good luck and maybe all us dieters can encourage each other.
Anyway, I know you are excited about staying a AKL again. I would be too.

Hopefully I'll come back from Disney with some tips of handling a toddler at Disney.
Are your toddlers getting very moody, finicky, and developing little tempers? When Tyson turned 18 months, he magically became very difficult to take anywhere with a short temper. LOL

The colonoscopy went fine. I only have diverticulosis and have to up my fiber intake. It's still scary though having to do have the test. I was anxious. I haven't started nutrisystem yet. I'm eating lean cuisines and soup. I've cheated a few times so I haven't lost any weight yet. LOL
How are you doing?

Please don't tell me it was the zebra cake. :sad2: I didn't get the cake at Boma because we had an hour drive back to Daytona. I may get one this time since we are already staying at AKL. However, I think I'll have them deliver it to the room. Mmmmmm cake delivered to my door. Yes!!!!!
You are going to have so much fun. I want to stay in the cabins one day.
LOL Tyson cracks me up! Yesterday he took off his diaper, ran around the room with just a UGA football helmet on and yelling Yay!! Then tried to put his diaper back on by himself. Cracked me up!!!
Congrats on the weight loss! Can you share with me exactly what you eat? LOL what do eat for lunch, dinner, snacks? I'd greatly appreciate it. Also are you exercising? Man I'd love to be 32 lbs lighter!!!

Ok so I have a few things that have been running through my head this past week.
First of all, I want a cake from the AKL bakery. I read that the zebra cake, in one person's opinion, tastes like a zebra dome. That's our all time favorite dessert. We go to Boma for that one reason (and the fact that the food is awesome LOL) So I read that I need to order it no earlier than a month in advance. In room dining will deliver it once we go to our room. This really isn't a surprise though. DH knows I want to do this and said go for it. LOL
Here's a couple pics of cakes I found on the cake thread that gave me ideas.
Zebra cake

Marbled cake with mickey and minnie on top
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y95/Victoria83/DSCF5307.jpg
I'd like the zebra cake with the mickey and minnie topper. I think the total price will be around $50. Is it worth it?
Second, I want to make a surprise backpack for Tyson. I will go in the room ahead of Brad and Tyson and lay the bag on the bed. Then I'll say something like Mickey left you a present. This was suggested on a thread I made on the family board. So I'm going to try to find a cute toddler Disney backpack. Walmart has them all the time. Then I'm going to fill it with goodies.
List of suggested goodies I like from that thread and some of my own:
Disney mini magna doodle
bubbles
Disney PJs
little cheap disney toys from dollar store
coloring book
small disney plush, probably stitch
Disney sippy cup
Disney hat
glow sticks and necklaces
Third, I worried about Tyson wondering off from us at the parks. Honestly, I don't see this happening because we make him hold our hand if he's walking and we always buckle him into the stroller. But to be on the safe side I want to have something on him that has our cell number. From another thread, I found some websites of things for Tyson to wear that contains our info. Here's the sites:
http://www.familyonboard.com/angelalert.html
http://www.amazon.com/Whos-Shoes-Velcro-ID-Tags/dp/B000E48QO4
http://www.sayitbands.com/sizes.htm
Which one do you think I should choose?
I'm going to post the remaining pictures from our June trip. These are from our day at Magic Kingdom and maybe one of our last day at Epcot.

Notice Tyson's busted top lip? He fell while walking around the Poly lobby outside Ohana. Brad had him and I was paying for the bill.
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y95/Victoria83/HPIM1758.jpg
LOL My smile was definitely forced on. Our Ohana ADR was at 7:30 so you can imagine how Tyson was acting by midday.
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y95/Victoria83/HPIM1765.jpg
Brad was on Test Track and I decided not to do baby swap. I just rested on a wall, let Tyson sleep and called my mom to chat! LOL

I still might do the tink gifts too. I just don't know. But I was thinking about if she does leave a gift, I will put mickey confetti or glitter on the table and putting the gift on top of it. He can't read so a note is not necessary but you might want to have tink write a not to your kids about their day. If you know what park you are going to each day for sure then you could prepare the notes ahead of time on tink stationary. If you visit the fairies at MK make sure you say to Tink when you first walk up, "Tink, thank you for leaving the gifts this morning in the hotel room. We loved the glow sticks." Or whatever the kids got that day. That way Tink can play along because now she knows that the kids got gifts and she knows what was left. Depending on your kids age, they probably won't realize you just gave her the info she needed to play along. It will add a ton of magic to the gift giving!! LOL

Well, it's good to know it's not just Tyson. He is getting better. He's 21 months. But his temperament depends on the time of day, how much sleep he got and if he's had a good nap. Taking him out to dinner is still hard right now. He will not stay in a stroller for any length of time and when he's mad he tries to bite or hit me. I mentioned this to his pediatrician and he said from 18 to 24 months is rough and then it happens again at 3. He acted like 3 is really bad. :scared1: How can it get worse than this?:confused3

Great! :sad2: It doesn't get better? LOL UGH....these tantrums are getting to me.
So I found out from an AKL thread that the standard room faces the parking lot or bus stop including the smoking area. Umm no. LOL I'm not going to start hearing those buses at 6:30 am or smell smoke. It was $44 dollars to upgrade to pool view so I went ahead and upgraded. I'd so much rather have a balcony that overlooks the pool or trees than the smoking area or parking lot. It's worth the little extra.
I found an animal kingdom lodge pen on ebay for 2.99 and free shipping. I bought it for DH so it could remind him of the upcoming trip while at work. I told him I bought it and he beamed from ear to ear. LOL  I did good! He's just as obsessed as I am. He just lets me do all the planning and he likes to hear about it.
My purse was delivered the other day! It's so gorgeous. Not as big as I thought though. It's borderline being a carry all or a big purse. But since I'm a bigger girl, right now I can get away with using it as a purse even without DS. It's justifiable when I have him because it will also be a diaper bag. Also, it's very heavy so I wouldn't take it on a shopping trip or something. Overall I still love it!!!
Question....when did your child stop taking a bottle? Tyson is obsessed with his. He calls it his botte (long e). He does like a sippy cup for juice, water or sweet tea but milk has to go in his bottle. Should I just take it away cold turkey? That seems so sad to me. What should I do?(Remember he's 21 months.)

I HATE the smell of cigarette smoke so I would pay the little extra for the upgrade too! YUCK!
I took Emily's bottles away when she was 1. She was using a sippy or cup with straw by then anyway. She didn't fuss about it, but if she saw a bottle in the cupboard, she would want it so I packed them all away where she wouldn't see them. The ol' "outta sight, outta mind" trick!! Maybe try the same with Tyson. If he wants milk bad enough, he'll eventually drink it in a sippy!
I'm so frustrated with Emily right now. Back in Nov, we started potty training and she was doing great. She would always let me know when she had to go and would sit on the toilet. I bought her big girl panties and she was only wearing a pull up at night and when we would go out (she didn't like public potties yet) Anyway, this last week, she's refused to use the potty and has gone on our new couch twice (we just got it last Tuesday) UGH! I don't know what to do! I'm gonna post on the families board for advice and possibly call her pediatrician.
Kids...what are ya gonna do?

I might take away his bottle and just replace them with sippy cups. That's what I thought I should do but battling him is not going to be fun. He likes his bottle in the morning and at night. I want him to be weaned before his second birthday in March.
I have no clue about potty training. Tyson is just now answering me if I ask him if he stinkied. LOL so I think I have little way to go. Gosh, I'd be upset too if I were you. Maybe you could ask your dr.

Thanks! Happy New Year to you! Yes, I'm so excited about AKL! This will be our first time back. It does seem a lot closer now that the holidays are over. My next thing to look forward to is my birthday!!! Yay! I'll be 26.
Thanks so much! I know I haven't really updated much or finished the June pics but I'm getting back into the groove of things. I have more stuff to report on tonight. I'm so glad that you are enjoying the posts. I hope they help you with ideas or tips. If you have questions or advise please don't hold back. You're going to have a blast in Oct.
Hey!! I'm so glad you're coming over to read my PTR. Where did you get your nasty cake from again? I forgot.
We got our nasty cake at The Plaza. I know they didn't bake it. The box had a note on it to deliver it there.
http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b130/racefanof88/DSCF1265.jpg
It was a very pretty cake...:rotfl:
I can't wait to stay in the cabins. I think we will have a good time. I wasn't that pleased with our trip last year for some reason. It just didn't have the "magic" for some reason. Now you are the one staying where I would love to stay.
Tyson looks like an angel. Little boys are so sweet. My youngest loved to run around the house naked when he was little.......lol.
Thanks on the weight loss congrats. It hasn't been easy, but very worth it. I have so much more energy. For breakfast I usually eat a bowl of cereal, any kind, lunch is a sandwich or a Lean Gourmet by Michelinas and sugar free jello, and for dinner I eat anything I want as long as I stay within my 1200 calories. I do cheat every once in a while. I love margaritas so I have one about 2 times a month when we go to Pensacola and eat at our favorite Mexican restaurant. I snack on veggies, I don't use dressing on my salads anymore I just use garlic salt. For exercise I do Wii fit, park way out in the parking lot, and take the stairs at work. I use a web site to keep up with my progress and calories. Kinda like a journal. Getting started is the hard part, but once going it gets easier.
Good luck and keep this great report going.

The cake is pretty but it looks like one I'd get from Publix. I'm sorry it tasted horrible. I'm still trying to find info on the zebra cake. I don't want to call AKL yet because it's still 4 months away. :rotfl:
I know what you mean about the magic not being there. I'm guilty of letting one bad thing that happened on the trip ruin the rest of my day if not week. I want everything perfect. Yes, I'm slightly anal about things but I do not schedule which rides to do first or when to go to the bathroom. I just schedule what park to go to each day and where to eat including making ADR's. Then we just decide what to do when we get there.
Aww thanks for the compliments about Tyson. He is such a sweet loving child. He comes up and hugs me and says "Mmm, mmm, mmm" while patting me on the back! He also randomly comes up to me and says "Hey, mommy!" He said Disney World today while I was watching Season of Disney on the travel channel!!! I'm raising a fanatic! Yay!
Your diet sounds pretty easy. I mean it will be hard to start but it sounds doable. I've been eating frozen egg patties and a couple sausages for breakfast, a lean cuisine for lunch with sugar free chocolate pudding, and then usually eating bad stuff for supper. I have got to stop that.

I've got great news for everyone who likes Jiko and Boma at AKL. I found out from the DVC thread that the new restaurant Sanaa pronounced sauna, at the Kidani Village, which is the new AKV resort, will be opening on May 1st along with the resort. A restaurant has to earn signature status with high attendance so for now it will probably be one TS on the DP.
:dance3: :dance3:    :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
Can I just say Yay Yay Yay Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so excited I get to try a new restaurant. Jiko and Boma are my faves and this place is suppose to focus on the islands of Africa with indian flavors. I'm too excited for words. Now I have to stay on top of things and make sure I know when I can book an ADR there. I'm thinking they'll open them up a few weeks in advance or they'll have a soft opening for a month or two then start taking ADRs. Isn't that what the T Rex cafe did?
I got Rylan off his bottle before his 1st birthday. I was terrified of baby bottle mouth lol. I had him on a Gerber Transitional Sippy Cup and after he saw other kids using normal sippy cups he switched. I honestly would take it away...but I have no advice other than cold turkey :( He really does need to be on a sippy cup or regular cup.
Yay for the upgrade though :) I don't blame you. I admit, I AM a smoker...but I hate smelling it (how weird am I) and I refuse to have Rylan smell it too! I am already trying to think of ways to quit so I don't have to feign for a smoke while I am there, because I obviously cannot smoke with him and we will be together the whole time. I figure I might as well quit!

Not to hijack (Sorry Brandi!) but I had the same problem with Rylan. Right around his 2nd birthday I started to potty train and he was doing AWESOME. I mean standing up like a man to pee into the toilet lol. Then all of a sudden he started purposely peeing on my bed and my floor so I ended the potty training. I don't know why he did it...but I figured he just wasn't ready for the bulk of it all you know? I plan on doing it after he turns 3, but I will probably wait til after Disney since I like the comfort of no peed in pants while we are there!

I thought so. I know he needs to be off of it. I'm going to Atlanta tomorrow to get my Burberry back, use a gc to Sephora, and a gc at cheesecake factory. So grandmama will be watching Tyson for me. I can't take it away tomorrow so I'll just start Saturday. DH will be home to help me. This is going to be torture.

You're not going to believe this....My new hayden harnett bag has a hidden mickey on the inside tag. I'm not joking. I keep looking at it thinking am I just seeing it because I'm obsessed or is it really there. I don't know what else it could be. I've turned the tag in different directions and I still see Mickey. We did the DDP last May and I think that is why some of magic was gone. I felt so rushed to meet my ADRs that we didn't even get to DHS. Now, we did go to a water park but still I didn't like the DDP. I too plan and I am flexable enough that I don't plan every ride at what time, but I do like to wake up and know what park I am going to today and not have to worry about how long it is until my next meal.
Little boys are so special. My boys were, and are, much more loving than my daughter. She has always been so independent, not a bad thing, just not much of a mommie person. My youngest, Dallas, is my Disney partner. He has taken up where my older kids have decided to back off :scared1:.
The diet is pretty easy. No food restrictions, just portion control. I do run into days that 1200 calories seem to fall about 1200 short............lol. I am not a big fan of sweets but I do love real food. You can do it, if you can take care of a baby boy, you defiantely have the patients.........lol. Keep us updated. Contact me in PM's if you want.

My DD was 21 mos when I got rid of her bottle; I wanted to do it at her 1st bday, but exDH wouldn't have it. She only used it at night so one night I just said no bottle. She cried for an hour and I distracted her with stories and puzzles. Finally she settled down and went to bed. Next night, I did the same and she cried for 20 minutes. By the third night - she didn't even ask for it, but what we did do was go out and buy the insulated sippy cup that she has milk in after dinner but before bed. It was her special "big girl night night cup" Now, she uses the cup all the time but then it was a great transition reward.
DS, on the other hand, handed over his bottle to me and spit the formula/milk combo when I was switching him to milk at 11 mos. He never looked for it since. Now, the pacifier is something that I still need to get rid of, however.
I started WW last January and I have lost 50lbs so far, I have another 20-25lbs to go. I liked the idea of being able to pick what I ate and actually prepare it so I learned how to eat properly. I also learned that my problem was that I won't eat all day then have a huge dinner. I've been on 'maintenence' for a few months to get my thyroid levels under control again and have been given the ok to continue by the doctor.
Ahh I admit DS is still on the paci. 3 is the magic number for us!
Brandi and Wendy- would you guys mind if I sent Tyson and Emily a Disney gift? I am getting so excited about us going and wanted to send some cool "supplies" for them if its ok :) (I'll have to go and post this on Wendy's PTR too haha)

I asked DH about the cake today and he made a face and said he didn't think we needed to add one more dessert to eat off of the entire week. Since we have the dining plan we will probably be bringing desserts back to the room. I guess that's one last thing for me to worry about. :rotfl: :confused3
I completely understand about feeling so tied down to your ADRs. In June, we went to every one of them, even if Tyson was angry and sleepy. It is not a fun meal when you are pacifying an angry 14 month old. I'm going to plan my times better now that he has a steady schedule.
I thought that a lot of boys were probably more loving than most girls. I don't even know if I want another one. Is it unfair to Tyson if he is an only child? He definitely won't have only child syndrome because I was raised to be thankful, respectful, and polite to everyone I meet and he will be raised the same way. I believe it's more about how the child is raised and taught to act, rather than being an only child and getting everything they want. Even little children can be taught to help pick up around the house and when they get older, you can make a point chart for their daily responsibilities. Everyone keeps raking me over the coals saying I shouldn't make him an only child. :headache:
Gonnachek if the new restaurant is on allears menus !!

Oh, you don't have to do that!! You have the trip to pay for and supplies for Rylan! That's so so so sweet of you and if you really want to I think it's the the nicest thing ever but I just know how expensive Disney is and that every little bit helps pay for your trip. I did see some adorable little stuff at Walmart that I was thinking Emily and Rylan would like though. Pft hush :) Believe me, it won't break the bank! I will have $2500 for SPENDING money alone LOL plus a lot more left to sit in the bank for when I get home lol. I should be fine. I know I don't have to, but I am such a goodie and present person I would love for them to have something! I have found some cheap stuff so now I am going to buy it :)
And about being an only child...I know I may change my mind in the future since I am not married, but I have no desire to have more children. Before I had Rylan I didn't even want kids! I adore him but I am satisfied with just him and would not mind if I had no more, so I definitely don't think its unfair to Tyson. And about being an only child...I know I may change my mind in the future since I am not married, but I have no desire to have more children. Before I had Rylan I didn't even want kids! I adore him but I am satisfied with just him and would not mind if I had no more, so I definitely don't think its unfair to Tyson. Hell, I am afraid to go through this age all over again, not to mention waking up in the middle of the night with an infant :scared1:
You're so sweet! I know he will be thrilled to get a gift! I read on Wendy's PTR that you said Rylan likes Handy Manny so I think I'm going to go look for some little Handy Manny stuff. I read Emily likes Snow White, Aurora, and Cars. There were two other characters you mentioned Rylan likes..what were they again? Or I can just go and look at Wendy's PTR LOL

haha! He likes Mickey and Pooh as well :) I hope Tyson likes Pooh, because the main thing I got has him on it! There will be other stuff as well. I know Rylan's eyes will light up if he gets something! He calls Handy Manny "Manny Manny" LOL. Aww yay I am excited, I can't wait to get the "mail" together.

I think I want to go to Savannah, GA for my bday. Should I spend the money to go on a little two night trip with just DH?
It's MUCH needed!! If you know what I mean:rolleyes1 ....Tyson has unfortunately got back into sleeping in our bed!!:sad2: :sad1: It was so nice having freedom and being able to sleep on the bed instead of on the edge of the bed. LOL
I wanted to go to Chattanooga, Tenn. but it is just too expensive. If I went there I'd want to go to Lookout Mtn., Ruby Falls, the Incline railway, and the Tenn. Aquarium/Imax theater. Just the aquarium alone for the two of us is $50. The package deal for the other three is $43 for each of us. So that would be $136. Plus two nights at a hotel. I don't like staying at rinky dink hotels either. They make me feel gross..LOL That's way way to much! So in Savannah we could stay at a nice hotel and just window shop and go out to eat. I want to go to Paula Dean's restaurant. I LOVE her! I wish she was my MIL. Don't tell DH but those Dean boys are HOTT! I love a southern boy that's good mannered and knows how to cook!

Gosh that's just weird. I'll post a pic tomorrow.
I can believe it. My doxie Daisy has a hidden Mickey on her back :rotfl:. And the funny thing is Dale (DH) found it. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b130/racefanof88/DSCF1442.jpg

By all means take the time to spend with your husband. You will not be doing Tyson wrong to take time for your marriage.
It is very hard to get them out of your bed once they get use to it. I know from experience. Dallas still tries to climb in my bed and he is 10.........lol.
I have never been to Savannah and I really want to go. I am afraid of heights so Lookout Mtn would not be an option for me :scared1:. I use to love to go to New Orleans for the weekend and go to the aquarium there. I don't go to NO anymore :scared1:. Sorry any LA. people but the news reports of late have me .
But, back to the trip. Take it, have fun, renew why you and your husband got married in the first place :lovestruc . You will be glad you did :cloud9:.

Weird...I thought I posted on here the other night, but now I can't find it. Hmm! I think staying to your schedule is a great idea. My kids our on a routine and we find when we get off it...the world ends. We are planning on being in our room from 1 to 4 each day. Thats when Austin naps...and Jenny normally does, too. My kids love to sleep! Except in the morning go figure. They are almost always in bed by 8, so that would be late for us to eat. Hope you enjoy Epcot that day! It will be so fun to celebrate Mothers Day at WDW!!!

There is no way I would step foot in NO. The crime rate just sounds like it's really high in certain parts. I don't know if I'd feel safe. Actually Macon is really bad now. There is very few places I feel safe anymore. Scary.
I really do think I should take the time to go somewhere. I want to go to Savannah but the hotel we want to stay at is booked for my birthday weekend. I'm very sad.
DH mentioned going down to Disney for two nights.....:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:
Can you tell I like the idea? We'll see. But we definitely couldn't afford eating any TS and we could only go to the park for one day. I wish I could go on my birthday but its on a wednesday and I have class. DH has to work wed and thursday so we would leave Thursday afternoon and arrive late around 11 pm. We would stay until maybe 4 pm Saturday. Maybe go to the boardwalk or DTD. I could even stock up on the things I want to put in Tyson's backpack from Mickey. If going to a park is too expensive, we could just go to DTD on Friday and then Boardwalk that night. Maybe go to citywalk Saturday. Actually it would be fun to go to Universal for the day instead of Disney. Then we wouldn't feel guilty leaving Tyson home. If we go to Disney than Tyson WILL come with us. I just can't leave him home.
OK, what should I do?

Dale and I went to Disney for the weekend twice in 2005. We actually went down to go to Daytona for the races, but we had unused days on no expire tickets and we used those. We went to DTD and MK in February, then when we went back in July we went to Citywalk, AK, and Epcot. It was really nice to go without the kids and have some us time. We enjoyed eating at Margaritaville at Citywalk. We ate at San Angel Inn too, but wasn't so impressed. If you drink coke or coke products you can save up the codes, get your family and friends to help, and for 1000 points you can get a US one day ticket. You get 10 points for a 12 pack, 3 points for 20 oz and 1 liter, and 20 points for the new cases they are selling. You probably don't have time to get all the points you need for 2 tickets, but it would be a nice weekend trip later on in the year ;)

I actually found a really pretty hotel in hilton head for 119 a night and its on the beach with a mini fridge, microwave and dining room area. It has a balcony and king bed. It would be nice to stay there. Hilton Head is one of the first places DH and I visited when we were dating. Actually that was a very fun spring/summer. We went to Universal in March, Hilton Head in June and Disney in July. We haven't been back to HH so it would be nice. Plus there is this great Jamaican type restaurant that I'd love to go back to and I love Harbor Town and the light house. I'd be happy with a weekend there too.

Thanks! You're exactly right. I'm holding on to his baby years. He actually hid his new sippy cup in the tv cabinet while I was in the restroom today. I came back to the living room and couldn't find it anywhere. I started looking in the cabinets and there it was. I asked him if he hid it and he started laughing. The little squirt didn't want to drink out of it so he hid it. He is so smart. :rotfl:

I don't want to get my hopes up, but DH said he would like to go to the Bud Shootout in Feb. in Daytona. He said "we can leave Friday morning, go to the ARCA race and Shootout Saturday and Disney on Sunday". I am hoping. I have to ask for the time off work. Keeping my fingers crossed

I definitely think you should go to Aunt Catfish!! OMG it's so good. I wish it wasn't an hour drive from Disney. I would so go there to eat on our way home from the May trip. LOL It's that good! But then again I love fried stuff and they have an awesome salad bar. LOL
LOL I hope you get some good sleep tonight!

It wasn't bad at all compared to when we've been in July previous trips! The only big waits were for the obvious rides, but really they weren't bad at all!

Ok, so the AKL pen I ordered on ebay on the 5th has not arrived yet. The seller has not contacted me at all. I emailed him yesterday and today. I'm giving him until Thursday to respond and if he doesn't I'm going to try to get my money back through paypal. I'm pretty upset at him but we'll see. I'm not upset about not having it. I'm just upset because there has been no communication. What do you all think?

That stinks! I hate it when you buy something on ebay and they don't communicate with you. Hopefully you can get your money back and find another one. I know your DH was excited about the pen!

If he didn't answer me back I would start the process through paypal too. I have only had one really bad experience on ebay and it was for a Coke sign I ordered(I collect Coke stuff). It was coming from a seller in Japan, I didn't pay any attention to where it was shipping from when I ordered it. Not only did it take forever, with numerous emails on my part, to hear back from the seller but when I got the sign it was bent . I was able to get it back in pretty decent shape but I will not order from this person again. I left him a nasty feedback and he had the gall to say we could have settled it with communication...................
I hope you get a good resolution.

I got an email from the ebay guy today. He said sorry that he hadn't emailed me and that it had been sent. I should get the pen soon. Yay!!
Ok now for some great news!!!
   I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
We decided it was just as expensive to go to hilton head or chattanooga because the room rates are so high. Most moderate range rooms started at $120 w/ AAA. With the winter room only deal at WDW I got two nights at AllStar Music for $148.
Just Brad and I are going!! Yay!! We will leave when he gets off work on Thursday Jan 29. We should arrive somewhere between 10 pm to 12 am. Friday we are going to our favorite park!! EPCOT!!! :woohoo: Looks like I'll get to try the Grey Goose slushie and my fave snack..the shaved ice in Japan!!
We are going to eat CS mostly. But I got an ADR for Tokyo Dining on Friday night.
Here's the added bonus. That happens to be the night of EMH for Epcot!!! That means I can sleep later in the morning and get to the park around 10 am.
Saturday we'll check out. Go to DTD and maybe eat at wolfgang puck express and I want to go to Goofy Candy Co. We'll leave to go home around 3 because we need to be home by 10 or 11 pm.
I'm really excited!! The only down side is that is Superbowl weekend and UG puts the crowd levels at a 7. But I think that's the day people will be driving down so maybe not as many will be in the park.

I am so glad you got a reply from ebay guy :thumbsup2 . My ex does ebay and he warns me all the time to be careful.
CONGRATS on going to Disney :dance3:. How did you find a room at Disney? I have been looking online and can't find anything for our weekend, Feb 6-9. I guess we will be staying off property because I am not going to pay 125.00 a night for that weekend. I found a 71.00 price at the LaQuinta where we usually stay so that is probably where we will stay. I would go with 100.00 a night to stay at Disney.
We will go to MK as that is Dale's favorite park and SM will still be open. I have got to price it all out.

The onlyvalue available was movies. Everything was booked. I checked your dates on hotel.com and orbitz. Orbitz had lots of deals on the DTD hotels. A couple were 30% off. They are good hotels and you could walk to DTD. I think one of them was $115 a night. You might want to check them out. Plus keep checking disney.com because people cancel. Maybe there is something going on that weekend.
I just checked UG and the crowd levels are only 5 and 6 and no event is listed. :confused3 I don't know. You'll still have fun though!!!:woohoo:

I can't wait until EMH are announced..this will help us so much in planning our meals. Although we'll probably spend most of our time at MK and Epcot. I wasn't impressed with DHS except for ToT..don't get me wrong, I liked it and all. We are going to AK as I've never been there, so we'll see how that goes :)
When will June ever get here? :)

I am with you about DHS. Last June, we didn't even go to it. Instead we spent an extra day at Epcot. The first day at Epcot a bad storm came up and never left so we went back to the room. Then we all took a very long nap that evening and never returned that night. It's our favorite park and we didn't want to miss out because of bad weather.
I know it feels like so far away. I've never gone for eight days either so this is going to be a real treat!! Add on the fact that I am now going to my favorite resort AKL, what more could I dream for? It's going to be a great vacation. I just pray that I don't get a virus/food poisoning like I did on our honeymoon. Let's just say by the end of what ever I had, I should have been in the hospital. But I toughed it out. I think it was food poisoning. :crazy2:

I like DHS but it's not my favorite..We'll go for the simple fact of RnR and Sci-Fi theater and ToT but that's about it. :) I prefer MK and Epcot since those two were my first parks. :)

I know that there is a specific number for tours. Let me see if I can find it. Here's the number: Call (407) WDW-TOUR or (407) 939-8687. Here's where I got the info: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/tours-and-experiences/

So I got bad news from my grandma today. My great uncle (her brother) probably had a stroke. He was feeling bad and told his wife he was going to the car while she shopped. When she got to the car he had passed out. She took him to the hospital.
The only thing I've heard is that he can move his arms and legs but is slurring his words and makes no sense. Another aunt of mine never regained her speech after her stroke many many years ago. She passed away this summer.
I really hope he's going to be ok. My grandma lost her oldest brother 3 years ago and this brother is the next oldest. He has a pace maker, had open heart surgery, and has diabetes. He had lots of things working against him. Please keep him in all your prayers. His name is Dorsey, pronounced door-see. Thanks!

Update about Dorsey, last night my grandma called from the hospital. She said she was able to have a short conversation with him and he was understandable. We don't know why he wasn't making sense in the beginning. She said he seemed better. They still don't know what happened. The good news is that his doctor is also family. He's my cousin. So I think that you can't get any better than having a dr. who loves you. My grandma has been trying to get in touch with someone this morning but none of the family will answer the phone. My immediate family including my grandma live about 2 hours from the extended family so we can't just go up to the hospital. :sad1:
Thanks again and I'll keep ya'll UTD about how he's doing. :grouphug:

I like to get up earlier than Brad and Tyson since it takes me about an hour to get ready. Brad takes like five minutes to be ready and out the door LOL And I always pack for the next day each night. So I think we'll be in the parks around 11 am. By doing this we might make it until 5 or 6 before Tyson needs a nap. Then I plan on having dinner around 7:45 or 8.

Saturday

Lunch Which ever park we are at
Dinner DTD
Look at shops at DTD then go home.
For your dinner on the MK Monday, I would consider doing Kona or 'Ohana. I think the food at Kona is a little better, but 'Ohana is a little more child friendly in my opinion. We've eaten at and enjoyed both of them! Also, if you have a later dinner ressie, you can watch Wishes from the Poly beach which is just magical.
On your Tuesday lunch, I might consider going to a nearby resort for CS. We just aren't really a fan of any CS in DHS. You can take a boat ride that's about 15 minutes and it will take you right to the YC/BC, Boardwalk, Swan and Dolphin and you're right near the entrance of the WS. If that's too much trouble, I would probably head to Toy Story Pizza Planet in DHS. We ate at Backlot Express in Dec. and weren't too impressed.
If you're looking for a CS in the World Showcase, Tangierine Cafe is our HANDS DOWN FAVOURITE. If you like Mediterranean food, it is absolutely delicious. The fish and chips in the UK are also quite tasty. My DDad's favourite in Epcot. You will love Teppan Edo... one of my family's favourite meals in all of WDW.
Looks like you have some great ADRs made!!:cheer2:

First of all, I'm so sorry to hear about Dorsey! I'll be thinking about him and hoping for the best! And now here's my thoughts in pink about anything I can think of for your schedule:
Saturday May 9

Lunch Sunshine Seasons Yum! I love the sushi here and I love the huge variety of choices of food!
Dinner at Le Cellier Another Yum!
Monday

Lunch at Cosmic Rays Another great choice. Don't forget to check the tables outside if the inside is packed. We've found great tables outside facing the Castle!

Tuesday

Thanks!! Welcome! Aw I wish you were there the same time we are. Where are you saying. I didn't check your sig to see it it says. I'll have to check. You will have so much fun in May. Thanks for the well wishes. We are all hoping he'll be ok.

We like to sleep in too, but I think that we are going to try to get up earlier this time because the parks are closing earlier. We probably wont be at AK until the afternoon because we are going to Typhoon Lagoon in the morning, then Emily's nap, then to AK around 3-4pm for EMH. We are making an ADR at Jiko for 8pm. Hopefully we can work something out, the safari sounds fun!

I was excited about staying at POP but we decided to upgrade to AKL since this may be the only time we can afford it. Without the deal it would have been $3400 but with the deal it's $2400 and that's with room, tickets with PH, and the dining plan. So you can see why we decided to change! We actually get the chance to stay at our favorite hotel!! Yay!

Wow!! Thanks for the great suggestions! I was definitely thinking about Kona but I read some bad things about Ohana dinner. I loved Ohana breakfast so I was considering it OOP for one morning. I don't see it being worth a TS though. We'll just pay for it.
I love the beach idea!!
I think we'll leave DHS like you said and go to a CS at a resort. Which one do you recommend? ESPN is out on boardwalk. It's good but it hurts my stomach. Plus it takes away from the Disney spirit. It may be nice to go over to Epcot for lunch that day. How long would it take to get from DHS to Epcot?
I just hope I'm able to get the ADRs I want. :thumbsup2

I haven't been, but I definitely second the TRex restaurant. Rylan adores dinosaurs so this is one I definitely want to try out.
Glad to hear that Dorsey is doing somewhat better. Still in my prayers!

Honestly, I think T Rex would scare the mess out of Tyson. He runs from most toys that make noise. He doesn't mind Mickey or any Disney character but he gets scared of his trains, the stuffed animal christmas toys that sing carols, and a lot more. I think we'd be leaving the restaurant as soon as we walk in. On the other hand I want to go there. I was thinking about asking Brad if we can eat a late lunch there for my birthday.
Do you want me to ask a prince to be your date while I am Epcot in a couple weeks? I think Aladdin is in that park and the beast but well he's probably a good bit too hairy! :lmao: J/K I think that you will have loads of fun with Rylan and especially going solo when you get him a baby sitter. Think about it. No one to compromise with. You can do whatever you want!!!

haha. When people talk about how "hard" single parenting is, I just tell them that I get to make up all the rules and I have no one around that can argue with me on them! Rylan's dad lives in TX so I don't have to give him a say :rotfl:

I think I really want to go to T Rex when we head down there in a couple weeks but the dinosaurs would scare Tyson very badly. He's going through a very sensitive stage right now. He doesn't like for characters to get frustrated when he's watching a cartoon. He gets angry too or tries to hit me to show his frustration. I was thinking about Coral Reef because he loves fish. Maybe I'll do that!

April 3rd-12th..already made our ADR's--be sure to check out my PTR for the selections :) The main reason we're going then is b/c of the 4/3 deal. Plus the CM I talked to at Reservations said we could reserve the room now and call for a one time extension on the deposit which we'll pay on the 30th. And on Feb. 17th will be 45 days out!!! You can take the boat or walk to the YC/BC which will take 15 minutes-ish no matter which method of transportation you choose, and then the gateway to the WS is about a 5-6 minute walk from there. Quite doable IMO!

Hey! How are your classes going?
Can you believe I spent the day finding a preschool for Emily. Most of the 3yo preschools around here have wait lists, some up to 2 years. UGH! We happen to live in one of the best school districts in the state and the community with the most SAHMs! Fortunatly, she is in the 2yo Stay & Play (I go with her, 1 day/week for 2 hrs.) program in our school district so we get top priority for the 3yo program, but if I want to send her to a private preschool, I need to get her on a wait list NOW!

The classes are fine. It's going to be a lot of reading and work but at least they're interesting. One is children's literature and the other is about diversity in schools.
So did you find Emily a preschool? Tyson's on the waiting list at my MIL's preschool. She's the director and from the way she's talking, she's going to pay for him to go. Well, this is going to sound completely snobby and brattish but I'm a SAHM, he doesn't have to go there, so I'm not paying for him to go there when we only have one income. DH and MIL want him to go because DH went there when he was little. Don't get me wrong I'm very appreciative but I'm not paying when I don't need him to got there. That's like a waste of money for us when I can watch him at home. Does that make sense?

I think I'm going to stick with the school district's program. It's a little pricy, but it's a great program. There is a free program, but DH makes too much for us to qualify for that.
I can understand not wanting to send him if you have to pay for it. If MIL pays, then I would send him part time, maybe one morning or afternoon a week. Emily loves school and I love that she gets that socialization time. There are 8 in her class. She's learning to play with others and sharing (that's not an easy concept for the little ones!) The 3yo program I'm going to send her to is only 2 afternoons a week (4 hours each day). Honestly, I'm looking forward to the quiet time I'll have! Although, we're trying for another baby, so I may not have quiet time afterall! I guess that will be special baby & me time then!! I can live with that!

Ohhh That will be fun to san angel your last night. It's so pretty in there.
I didn't write that going to Epcot in 8 days :) I don't know who did
Oh that was me! I'm leaving thursday! I? guess the site messed up and quoted you.:thumbsup2
I know someone else had it done in the Disney font and it also allows you to preview it on the site before ordering and when I typed in what I wanted it was pretty legible! I think I will definitely be getting bracelets through them.
Oh good then I'll use them! It's such a good price.
I don't know where these quotes from me are coming from..but I swear I didn't post them :) There must be another Disneyfan71 other than me
The site just messed up or something.

I was begining to worry there was another Disneyfan71 on here ;)
Glad classes are going well and it's only one night a week. I took a screenwriting class last year and hated going once a week :( Eventually I dropped it.

Here's the awesome one that is categorized by restaurant. This is what I use.

Edited to add: The one that autumnpalm added is awesome because people are posting pics of food from new restaurants like T Rex Cafe and new menu items at different restaurants. I lurk on all of them!!

You're welcome!! I love the food porn!! :cake: :drinking1 popcorn::
So we are going to eat a late dinner at Raglan Road on Thursday night. I had limited choices because we are arriving later in the evening. Is it a good restaurant?
We'll go to Epcot on Friday. I'm riding all the major rides that morning, having lunch at Sunshine Seasons, going on the behind the seeds tour and then touring the world showcase.
For dinner we are eating at Tokyo Dining. Our ADR is 15 minutes before illuminations. Hopefully we'll get a window seat. That's an EMH night so we'll go do our favorite rides again. The park closes at 11 pm.
Saturday we'll check out and head over to DTD. I'd like to eat at T Rex Cafe and do some shopping at World of Disney. We need to leave Orlando by 3 pm so we can get home at a decent time.

Sounds like a great plan! I have never been to Raglan Road, but the reviews I've read have been very favorable! Take lots of pics to post when you get back! Make sure to take some of T-Rex, that place looks cool!

Thanks!!!! Ten times over. That second thread is great. You can actually pick the locations. The 1st thread was ok, but I spent an hour looking at food for places I didn't want to eat at....Thanks again!!!
