I have to confess that my mind always seems to wander during Julie's store tours segments. I honestly tried to pay attention, but for me shopping isn't a journey it is a destination.

So, when DW and I head to WDW later this week, I need help finding some nicer Mickey or Minnie Mouse earrings for DD17 (who isn't going due to school). DD17 doesn't like "dangly" earrings so I'm looking for posts (is that the right term?).

I recall a nicer jewelry store on Main Street but other than that (and maybe one store in DHS) nothing else comes to mind for good jewelry.

Can you shoppers out there give me some help? World of Disney is not out of the question but I can't find anything that gives me confidence they stock anything other than costume jewelry.

World of Disney has better than costume in the jewelry/pin area (in cases). I bet you'd find something there.

QVC has a line of Disney jewelry. I know I've seen Mickey, princess, and tink studs there. Just search disney earrings.

Mouse Gears in EPCOT has a fairly good jewelry/watches section.

The Contemporary Resort has a shop called Bayview Gifts. It sells some nice pieces of jewelry. :goodvibes

I've bought some very nice pieces at the Contemporary. My mom was a jewelry nut, so when we used to take her with us to WDW, we got our fine jewelry at the following locations:

Sunset Coture at DHS - where they do the custom watches
the Jewelry store on Main Street (they also have the expensive case)
MouseGears
one of the gift shops in the GF - I think a couple of them have the nicer jewelry
The main clothing shop at the Poly (the one on the first floor)
World of Disney

Hope that helps.

ETA - my favorite pieces that we bought were gold wire Mickey ears setting with white pearls for the head/face

Thanks everyone for the great suggestions. I now have a "plan."
