Countdown calendar

Anyone have any good ideas for a countdown calendar? I want to make one for my daughter so she doesn't ask everyday how much longer. I'm not the most creative person so any ideas are welcome.

Cut out some mickey heads with youre daughter, get her to decorate them and put the number of days you have left on each one (i.e 30 days, 30 mickey heads labelled 1-30) then stick them up round the room and each day she gets to take another one off the wall.

Worked a treat with my neices.

We started out countdown with around ninety days to go. We bought a light blue posterboard and then I printed out the calenders for those months. Glued them to the middle of the posterboard and then my daughter decorated it with princess stickers all around. I counted from the day we leave (zero) to the current day (ninety). We then went out and bought a couple packages of stickers and each day my daughter put a sticker on that day. It is very cool looking and my daughter loved designing it..

We do a "countdown chain" using strips of construction paper. On the outside of the strip of paper we write how many days we have left...on the inside I write a little "disney trivia" question that the girls can answer either by memory or we have do do some "research" online to answer it. They also decorate the outside of the strip with a sticker, a drawn picture or glitter/sparkles...my girls love to do this and it's easy to "customize" for your family.
