We didn't receive any pins either, and we collect them as well. In Dec. we had to buy one that was for DVC members only (stored behind the counter), and we got carded to prove we were members! That was at OKW and the next day we were at VWL and they had them out for anyone to buy. Would sure like to get one for free!

We got our pin today for WLV. Just wondering though, how do you get pins for the other DVC resorts? Do you have to buy them at the resort? And is the pin we received in the mail the same one for sale at WLV?

According to DIZPINS, all DVC owners are supposed to get the VWL pin. I hope mine comes soon as I collect pins too. I was shocked to hear that the special "DVC members" pin that we had to show ID for was out for general sale at VWL. We got ours at Boardwalk and definitely had to show proof of membership there. Hopefully they have rectified that situation.

I was thrilled to receive my pin yesterday, Valentine's Day. Hubby ordered flowers for me that had not been delivered by the time he arrived home at 6pm(so that's why he kept calling me all day!), but the USPS ran right on time! Pins are better than flowers, anyway! I really like the words "Member Exclusive" on the back...

Our pin arrived today!! Hooray. We are pin collectors so we will enjoy adding this to the collection. Ours didn't have a back either, but when I took everything apart and shook a bit, the back popped out from some hidden little spot. Hope you find yours too. They do sell packages of extra backs at the pin stations in WDW, but unless you actually collect pins you probably wouldn't want an entire package.

Yeah, my pin has arrived!!!! I was feeling a bit blue here in New Jersey, it is raining and my DH is in WDW for a business meeting. He called to tell me how beautiful the weather is there and I was a bit annoyed to say the least. Well anyway I just went to the mailbox and I had this wonderful package with the very nice pin. I guess that makes up for not being there but I will be arriving at VWL on April 10th.

Not only is it the first weekend of Mardi Gras but my pin arrived today :D :D
Cool looking box... great package all the around.Awesome :D Now, back to the music, parades, bands, floats and throws....but I would trade two weeks of Mardi Gras for two weeks of a DVC vacation. May 20 (my first as a DVC member) can't get here quick enough.

Very nice. If you want to look at a picture, there's already someone on *Bay selling one. The item number is 1113420367. I only post this because someone has gone to the trouble of scanning an image of the pin and it is posted with this auction. It is not my auction and I don't consider this an advertisement.

UPDATE: Upon closer inspection, I noticed that our pin was missing its back and that the pin is bent. Since the pinback was not in the package, I can only assume that it was damaged before it was packaged. A bit of a disappointment, but still a very nice pin

We received the pin in the mail on Feb. 14th. I think these are being sent to all DVC members notwithstanding whether or not you brought a resale. We closed on our resale in October, 2000. The pin is very nice, my son took it back to school with him. I thought it was a nice touch by the disney folks!!

We just returned on Monday 2/19 from a vacation and found our gift in the mail. Part of our vacation was a day with family staying at the Wilderness Lodge Villas in a 2 bedroom. Folks, I am NOT impressed ... the living/kitchen area is so small, only one sofa (so who sits on the floor for tv?), a not overly large round "dining" table with 2 chairs. In the 2 queen bed room, I thought there was much wasted space where the sinks and closet are. The "master" suite is your basic jacuzzi/shower separation. I must say, however, that the decor is wonderful. Very warm, inviting and cozy. But my family was on the FIFTH floor, one elevator bank and you had to walk a real long way to the rooms at the back. So, I still feel the first is best - OKW is larger, lighter and easier to access and has that "home" feeling vs. "hotel" atmosphere. But, this is just my feeling. If you are going, I wish you a great time and enjoy!

there was a small advertisement flier enclosed in our box mentioning the VWL DVC property being for sale and also the usual disclaimer/notice that this was being used to solicit timeshare sales. We live in Ohio, maybe the solicitation laws vary by state. Also, not a big deal but the bar that fits into the clip was about bent sideways.

We stayed at this resort in early Feb. and we thought it was a fabulous place. More Disney than OKW, less big city hotel than Boardwalk, which sort of gives folks a 3rd type of property to visit at WDW when it comes to DVC choices. If they were all a carbon copy of each other then it would be kind of boring after a while.
