I bought the calligraphy collection cart last night at Michaels. Has anyone used it? Do you love it? Are they all very thin like Jasmine? I find those harder to use and prefer 'thicker" letters. I don't want to open it until I know I will love it! I checked the cricut board and could not find it listed....
Thanks!

i also bought it at mike's today, and was thinking the very same thing.
great minds think alike! i bought it because i loved the look of the letters on the back but then when i got home, i thought they might be way too skinny!

I will be the guinea pig. I bought it specifically for a wedding album I am making. I don't know if I will open it up tonight, or not, otherwise it will probably wait until Sunday. We are going shopping tomorrow. :goodvibes

I bought it and used it yesterday at a crop. I have Jasmine too and only used it once since I couldn't get the letters off the mat because they would rip. In Calligraphy, the letters are skinny, but I put it on shadow so they come thicker and it worked fine. At first I tried to make the letters at 3/4 of an inch, that was way too small!! When I did them again at over an inch, it was ok. I love the look of the font, so I will be keeping it!

I used the cartridge a bunch today, in my cousin's wedding album. I used the "Matrimony" version, which does not come with a shadow option. I used it to cut letters 1 1/4" - 2", I used both patterned paper and Bazzill Bling. I had a little trouble with cutting out the "a" on the smaller sizes, I had to decrease the pressure.

The font is very, very skinny. But except for the "a"'s I didn't have any tearing. They are a bit difficult to glue. I would say this cart requires a higher degree of patience than most other cartridges. There are some pretty flourishes and stuff though, and I am happy with how the letters look.

 I need yall to help me. I have the original Cricut and it only makes 3" envelopes. Anybody have any ideas what I could use these small envelopes for?
thanks

If you're worried about tearing, you could weld the letters together in the Design Studio Software. That's what I do with Jasmine.

Hi, Hope love the cards! You gave me some good ideas. I use double sided tape for my letters, cuts down on tearing. Plus, I love glitter and double sided
tape keeps the glitter on. I'll post my cards when my little boy takes his nap.

I have been making cards with this cartridge, the last few days. I cut with Bazzill, size 1.5", and while it's not ideal, it's not impossible. I also cut with cardstock, and that worked better. But what worked the best, at the small sizes, is Text Weight, metallic paper. I got mine from Archivers, its mostly for wedding invitations.

"Thanks", "Thank You" are cut with the shadow feature. Happy Birthday didn't have a shadow option, I think that was 1.5"

"Eat, drink, be married", "You are in my prayers", "many thanks" "with sympathy" are all from this cartridge. Also from this cartridge, are the flourishes on "many thanks", "best wishes" and the elements on the 2 yellow sympathy cards. Other images/fonts are from other cartridges.
