VWL to Boardalk?

Is there a bus that goes from the VWL to the Boardwalk? DH is going to meet me at the Boardwalk after he plays golf. He'll have a car, but after we meet, we'll spend the rest of the evening at Epcot til it closes. So I don't know if he can park at Boardwalk and leave the car there until after Illuminations, then walk out through the International Gateway and drive back to VWL. Actually, we might prefer to take the bus at night, but then how does he get to the Boardwalk?

There is no direct bus from WL to BW. You would need to either take the bus to Epcot and then walk through Epcot and out the back International Gateway exit to BW, or take the bus to MGM and then walk or take a boat to BW from there. BW has two parking lots--main and overflow one across the street from main lot. As to the main lot, they check at the gate and do not allow you in if trying to park to go to Epcot (you must be going to the BW for its activities). The overflow lot is open to anyone.
