I was hoping to get a Canadian Dismeet worked out for the time we will be there. Looks like sometime between the 13th and the 16th would be the best. Personally, we will be in DHS on the 13th, Epcot on the 14th, and the 15th and 16th are still up in the air.
Anyone interested in a meet??
Anyone have any ideas??

We are in Epcot on the 14th. We love running into fellow Canadians in the world. I can usually spot my fellow Canadians a mile away since we are the only ones dressed for summer! LOL We would be in for Canadian dis meet!

Thats great Nicolem05!
Anyone else?
There is a Dismeet in Epcot on the 14th at the Christmas tree in World Showcase at dusk (will figure the time out later) with the podcast team as I mentioned above, so that may be a good start, but if not, maybe we can work something out earlier in the day.
Will get a general consensus as more (if any more) people are interested.
I will probably update the first post as time goes by, I have already edited the title.
This will be my (our) first year of Dismeets....:dance3:

Well we will see you at the Toy Story Mania Meet. :goodvibes
We are also going to try to make the tree lighting at Epcot -- we are seeing the 5pm showing of the CP so we'll see how that goes.
We are there from Dec 13th - 17th.
We probably won't be hard to miss as we will have my mom in a scooter and my niece (8) and my nephews (6 and 4) with us.
Can't wait.

Our plans....... We are doing arrival on the 13th at about 2pm with resort touring and DTD in the afternoon/evening. character brekie to celebrate the almost 9yo's bday at Beach club on the 14th in the am with more resort touring and MCMCP at 4pm. Epcot on the 15th - hoping to do the candle light processional. Golf in the morning of the 16th then who knows what.... flight leaves MCO at 7pm.
We only have a 1 day park hopper and the cmas party tickets - not doing a whole lot of park time!! Getting the boys (14yo and almost 9yo) new roots hoodies for the trip so I'm sure you won't be able to miss us!!

Are you flying from Buffalo? We are flying down on the 13th so I figure by the time we get to the Toy Story Mania party we are going to be tired. Our flight leaves at 7:45am and we get in at around 11:45am (we change planes in Baltimore).
2 weeks and one day of work left. :goodvibes

We are flying from Buffalo - We got a great deal of $109 return all taxes in for Southwest which is the only reason we are actually getting to go. We fly out at 9:30am and land at 12:15 direct flight! First time with Southwest so I'm hoping it's as easy as everyone says it is!!

You'll love Southwest (hopefully!). We haven't flown anyone else from Buffalo and have never had a problem. We actually got the fly from Buffalo for half price so we got $36 flights -- the only problem being that going down we have to connect in Baltimore - we could have gone nonstop for $53 and in retrospect we probably should have but couldn't resist $36 each way. We have a nonstop flight coming home though.
Can't wait.

We are flying out of Pearson on the 11th, Air Canada, Non stop.
It was a last minute decision, and I'm not into driving to Buffalo.
Too many weather factors.
As it is we get a room at the airport hotels for the night and shuttle to the airport, and parking is included for the week.
Arrive MCO @ 1pm.
Oh yeah....
We paid a lot more than $109...

No - dh recieved an email with great prices - played around with some dates and found $36 each way non stop - helps that our dates were flexible.

We are staying at All Star Sports - actually couldn't get any rooms anywhere else since we booked so late. Where are you staying?
Hope to see you Saturday night! Since we fly out early Saturday morning I'm really hoping we aren't the ones with the kids having a meltdown! We are taking my niece (8) and two nephews (6 and 4). My Mom is going also so we have 3 kids and 3 adults.

We did not sign up for Mousefest so I think we may be avoiding certain parks/areas on certain days as I know this group is big.
Personal plans right now include Epcot evening of the 13th, Hollywood Studios on the 14th, Epcot probably on the 15th and of course Magic Kingdom on the 16th.
Let me know if we can work something out with anyone??? :thumbsup2
Forgot to mention we will be staying at the BCV.

Fiona - We'll be staying at CBR (never stayed there before - have you??); but really, it doesn't much matter WHERE you stay, you're hardly ever in your room, right?!
I think it's really great that you're taking down you niece and nephews - they're lucky to have a loving (and might I add brave) aunt, uncle and nana! Maybe we'll catch you at Mousefest! Hopefully we'll actually get to ride Toy Story!!

Tasha - we've have actually stayed at CBR and really liked it. Actually over the years we've stayed at all of the moderates and all of the values. CBR was actually the first onsite resort that I stayed at so for me it's kinda special. We like staying in Jamaica which is just over the bridge from Port Royale where the food court is.
Really looking forward to this trip even though it's short.
We've never actually taken the kids away so it should be interesting although they are excited. We'll ride Toy Story hopefully as that's what the kids are looking forward to.

I dont think we will have much trouble riding TSM at the meet.
I read on another thread that TSM moves about 120 people every 4.5 mins, so with only 500 people, that means we should get on every 19 mins if everybody is riding and no one shmoozing with the team or eating.

I'm not really worried about being able to ride TSM - I'm more worried about having tired kids. :goodvibes
We are hoping to get into our room early enough so that we can convince them to have a little nap.

Hi Fiona - it's good to hear that you enjoyed CBR! Last year we went concierge at AKL (we figured it would be a trip of a lifetime, the kids' first time there, my first time back since I was 10 - we planned it since before DD8 was born!), but I fell in love, and badgered DH until he agreed to go back this winter!
It's a whole different feel with kids - you'll love it! I think it makes you want to just sort of let loose and act like you're a kid, too. Sort of like Christmas with kids, it makes you see it through their eyes!

We've actually stayed at AKL for one night and would love to go back and stay for longer next time.
I was actually there a lot of times when my DS was little (we went every year from the time he was 2 til he was 14 and then he wouldn't go back again til he was 21 last year!). It's been while since I've gone with little kids so I'm looking forward to that part. Just hoping that they don't get too homesick.
Is it time yet?????

I believe around 5:45.
If you are doing the Candlelight Proccessional I would imagine you will be going to the 6:45 show as the 5pm might be a little tight with your 4:10 Chefs ressie.
It looks like most will be in Epcot on the 14th so that may be a good day for a meet, although I realize not all people on this thread will be able to make it.
The 13th in DHS may be a good one also, or both!
So lets start with the 14th in Epcot.
How does 2 or 3pm sound?
Maybe earlier if BitsnBears wants to walk over after their BC breaky ressie.
If that would be OK, we just need a meeting spot.
Just to check, in Epcot on the 14th will be...

Well since cdnmickeylover has ressies at 2:15, how about 1pm - 1:30pm at the fountain in front of France?
That way they can just jump over to Japan at 2.
This gives easy access to BitsAndBearsMom from the International Gateway from their BC breaky if they wish.
from that point we can decide if we want to hit some food stuff or head back to Future World for a ride, or just part ways and be on our way.

This year will be our first DisMeet's as well, so I'm just flying by the seat of my pants here.
A lot of meets hit a ride or two, others just tour the park and talk.
I'm open to suggestions.
How about we all grab Soarin fastpasses earlier on, or something?
I could also PM my cell # for interpark communications if anyone wishes.

I also want to add that there is a Dismeet on Sat at DHS for a ToT ride before closing and then the TSM meet after hours.
