Food and Wine 2009 - Disneyland

I was just listening to this week's roundtable podcast and Pete was talking about having a meet at Disneyland during Food and Wine.

I may be in Maine that time of year (or might still be in FL) but either way, I'm sure I can find a flight.

I'm sorely tempted, but we're going on the PodCast Cruise so I doubt we'd be inclined to fly to the left coast the week before.

I went in April, had a fabulous time, wrote about it (the FESTIVAL! report in my signature) and would go again. I was really impressed with it.

Unfortunately, I can't go to both WDW and DL, and I put my points down for WDW in May. But I think it's worthwhile to go to the DL food and wine festival.

I actually thought DL's festival was better than WDW's in certain ways.
My advice is to book the dinners if you can, but stay away from the Reception event.

I'd love to go! I can't say for sure -- I barely know what I'm doing next week, let alone in a couple of months -- but I haven't been to DL in over a year, and this sounds like a great reason to go.

We're always there for it anyway (being only 45 minutes up the freeway), so coming to meet the Crew would be fabulous.

I would love to go, and definitely would, if we were not planning a huge trip to WDW for Spring Break. We only go to FL every few years, but I already have all our plans made.

So sorry to miss this (unless the economy gets better, but I dont see that happening). We usually go to DL in May or June each year, and it's a really nice time to go there.

So bummed that the one time you're doing something in CA I wont be able to go...:headache:

OK, so maybe if there was a really really good deal... but my DH would kill me...

Pete, count us in! We are also going on the podcast cruise, but getting to Anahiem is a breeze from Seattle! We did the Food & Wine in Epcot for the first time this year and had a wonderful time!

Okay, I'm going to move forward with planning this - I'm going to put together a few options (with hotel and without) so as many people as possible can join us. I'm working with the folks at DL now, and should have something to 'announce' on our first show in January !

I'm not sure if I can swing this or not because I am also going on the podcast cruise, but I am definitely interested. I haven't been to Disneyland since 2001 and really want to go back. I will be waiting to hear the details and then I will decide if I can afford to go.

After hanging out with the crew at Mousefest, I am SOOOO in for this. Disneyland is only an hour flight for us as opposed to the cross country trek to Florida. :)

We plan to visit DL in March and WDW/DVC Cruise in Sep, but I may be able to convince my Desperate Mousewife to attend. DIS Unplugged is the only podcast she'll listen to with me, so she may not want to pass up the chance to meet the Podcast Crew.

There is some preliminary information on Food and Wine up on the DL website. It looks like they're really expanding this year!!!
