Hi All,

DLRPMagic's guide to OUAPD says:

A world-first is the addition of real scents for each float, taking you into the worlds as they pass you by - from candy for the first float to burning embers for the Villains and tropical fruits for The Lion King.

Now I can't say that I picked up on this when we saw the parade November 2007. As we will visit again soon, can anyone tell me if this 'world-first' still functions please?.

Thanks

Iain

Yes - there are definitely unique scents for several of the floats. I've noticed it on one or two of them, although I do often find I have to be "looking" for them to notice them.

We noticed when we went in April. Just concentrate;)

Concentrate! - I think when we went last year (Nov '07) I'd forgotten that this was a feature and so wasn't looking for it.

When we go again, I'll be on the looking out (or should that be smell out) for it!.

Thanks all

I find the Lion King float the strongest beside where Timon and Pumba are - I am sure it does not smell of tropical fruit :lmao:

| found the strongest scent to be the Pinoccio and the villens float. I did notice them.. but not on every float

We didn't notice them. Having said that, Robert can never smell anything unless its inserted directly up his nostril... I think I was too busy being excited about the characters! Lol! Shame as its one feature I was quite looking forward to!

Can't say that we noticed this to be honest.

I'll look/sniff out for it in December

I noticed this too, each float definately had a scent, some stronger than others.
Nice scent when there was bubbles floating around too.
And did anyone notice smells on the clothes that the people in the parade where wearing? When they danced passed us, it smelt really nice.
Not a purfume smell, i cant describe it.. kind of a sweet , candy smell. :lovestruc

Ooh I didn't know about this. Must remember to do some 'sniffing' in December - if my nose isn't too frozen, that is:rotfl:

I noticed them the first time I saw the parade and I was so impressed lol. The villains float (my fave) had like a musty/deep kind of smell. It's hard to explain but was great and perfectly fitting for the theme! The princess float had a nice sweet smell. I didnt notice a smell for each float but a few of them.

I think the Villains float smells like christmas joss-sticks - its a spicy smell.
I can't say I notice all the floats smells, but they all do still have them.
