Anyone have any ideas of where or where not to go? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

When we were at Blue Lagoon Island we saw people snorkeling at the mouth of the lagoon, but I can't tell you if it was very good. Maybe somebody out there in internetland can tell you.

I did love Blue Lagoon Island though and I will probably go back in November on my $99 3-day cruise.

Highly recommend Stuart Cove's, located on the southern part of the island. They pick-up at the cruise ship docks. We had a great experience with them a few years ago when we stayed at the adjacent Clarion South Ocean resort - they take you to a few areas, spectacular coral & fish, and then stop for a shark experience that was very cool. Reasonably priced - we plan to use them again on our $99 cruise in Dec. website address - http://www.stuartcove.com/

I was leaning towards Stuart's Cove to begin with, but had never seen any feedback about them. Also, did you try that sub thing they have? I would also like to try that, but it was kind of pricey.

We did some snorkeling at the Blue Lagoon and really liked it. We had never done it before so we don't have much to compare to :) The beaches were really pretty and it was so much less crowded than Castaway Cay. Also..... We learned on these boards that you can keep walking farther on the path and find another beach area, we did this and there was NO one there!!! We had all the hammocks and tables to ourselves and had a really nice day!

They didn't have the sub when we were there. The snorkeling included a nice boat ride to get to the good areas. The crew was helpful - it was our first time snorkeling and they helped us to get going.
