The Dumb Question of the Day....

Another question from a newbie, please bear with me---------

Any such thing as having a room on hold without actually borrowing the points? If I call and there is availability, will they hold a reservation for me without making me actually borrow the points? If I borrow them for July, and we can't get the airfare, then I would have to use the points by the end of August--a month later. I don't want to borrow to begin with, but the time is really close to our use year, so it would not be too bad.

Any suggestions?

Unfortunately no. In order to make a reservation, you must commit the points.

I would get the best airfare you could, then put the AIRFARE of hold for 24 hours and see if you can get the DVC ressie. Good luck!
