My dear friends,

My buddy, DJ in NYC, is attempting to organize a Gay Day at the Food & Wine Festival for the first weekend in October, 2009. Now, I know that the first weekend in October is also Gay Days in Disneyland, CA. My question is: Doesn't California do a mini Gay Day at some point during the year and, if so, when? I think DJ's idea is great but I'll need to convince him not to conflict with CA, especially if they don't conflict with us.

Hmm, I don't recall when the DL Gayday is. A good thing to remember is that Orlando Pride is in October as well (I think the 3rd week?).

That could kind of work though. Pride weekend, combined with FWF? Sounds like a wicked time!!! One day at FWF and one day at Pride.

Couldn't hurt to 'lively up' the Orlando Pride. It was a little low key this past October.

What weekend did they do Gay Day at Food & Wine this year?

It was one of the later weekends of the festival as I recall.

You mean there's an official one already? DJ told me this past one was on Nov. 8, the last weekend of the festival.

We haven't finalized our plans yet, but I'm pretty sure the wife and I are going to be there the first week of October, 2009. We'd love to meet some of you! :goodvibes

depending on school, I most likely will be there. Who only knows what class I will be taking in the fall.

I'll be going on a 16 day Transatlantic Cruise on the Carnival Dream starting October 27. If anyone wants to hang out one weekend before that at F&W let me know. F&W is soo much fun! :drinking1
