There is a "Member Guidebook Survey" on the www.dvcmember.com site. I cliked on Member Offers and it took me to this survey instead. It asked questions concerning which options you had used, how to improve the web site, etc. Asked if you would like the ability to see your member point balance on-line, bank points on-line, make payments, etc.
Just wanted to let everyone know so you can go vote!

Thanks for the info. I just completed the survey. I truly hope that they add the ability to check points, bank and especially check on availability and make reservations online. That would be wonderful. The members part of that website could surely use some updating!

Thanks for the notice. I just completed the survey. The on-line capability to check availability, points, make reservations etc. would be great.
Hope they follow thru with this.

Mission complete. It would be nice if they let us access our point information, including banking and borowing.

Glad to see the survey, but I noticed there was no space for additional comments. Hummmmm....Qwinky Dink!! Keeps away those unpleasant commments. ;)
I would have liked to indicate the structure of the guidebook was the main problem, not the content. Also, would have loved to add my $0.02 about the points for the DC/DCL. I noticed there was no box to check for....."Would love to stay at DC, but don't like getting point gouged."
Hope they get some type of on-line account balance/reservation look-up. That way I could obsessively check my bookings to make sure MS doesn't accidently drop my reservation. (one of my DVC nightmares  )

Since I never got a guidebook this year I had to say I was extremely dissatisfied with it! Requested a new one 3 times now......

Thanks for the link. Completed the survey last night.
I had to laugh at the choices for "How often do you consult you Guide Book?". I checked "9 or more times per year" because I couldn't see an option for "every day - because I'm always trying to work out how I can fit in another trip on points" ;)

The website says the survey is about the 2002 - 2003 Member Guidebook. Are we supposed to have that one now? The last one I got is 2001 - 2002. When did the 2002 - 2003 come out??

Thanks for the heads-up! I completed my survey and, like everyone else, I'd love to see point balances & reservations online.
DVC MANAGEMENT, ARE YOU LISTENING??????

Count me in for wanting as much available online as possible. HOWEVER, if they do this I would also like to see their site security redone. Having one universal userid and password is ludicrous is this day and age! I've been doing Web design for almost 10 years now and for a company as large and exposed as Disney, their online "security" is laughable.
If they're going to give me the ability to check my point balances and book online (which I hope they do - they're about five years behind the curve on this one), they better make sure that I'm the ONLY one who can get in and do it! I think it would be only logical. At some point you would have to provide your member number or some sort of information to identify your account and pull up the information. To do so at login makes the most sense.

I am total agreement with you WDWguru. The site needs to have greater security if our information is accessible on the website.

I've just received an e-mail from DVC telling me that there is a survey on the website and asking me to complete it!
A few days ago I had to e-mail MS to ask for a replacement membership card because mine was stolen when my bag was taken from my car last week . At the end of their reply was an invitation for me to submit my e-mail address for inclusion on their mailing list for any communications they may send out by e-mail. I guess this is why I got the notification about the survey. (I'd already filled it out yesterday, anyway!).

I got the e-mail as well. Had to restrain myself from voting again! Although, seeing as we have two different member numbers...:smooth: Nah! Hard to tell your kids to obey the rules when the adults don't!

When we were completing paperwork, we were told that the entire Disney reservation system was going to be revamped, including DVC. I think they said it would enable booking online and checking point status. Suppose to be a big bucks project.

I noted the need for online access to more personalizaed account information. It would be wonderful to view the status of your points account.

I wasn't thrilled seeing a question asking about if I would like the "guidebook" to be online. I hope they don't go in that direction!! It's hard enough getting information from the website as it is imagine if all of us had to use the guidebook online!! Also, what about those members who "don't have" access to a computer? I still prefer the old 3 ring binder as it was easy to take out pages and replace only those that were updated. My first book arrived looking like it had been through a major war and barely survived and I was told by MS that they might charge me for an "additional" one! I told them I would be happy to send the envelope and book to them for inspection and they could see the damage for themselves and they said they would make a "one time" exception and give me a new one free of charge. Guess what! This one arrived damaged too but not as bad as the other one as I could see the inside pages and the points pages are the ones I needed the most. I hope DVD Management sees our comments as we weren't allowed to put them in the survey!!
