It is finally going to happen. I have booked our 1st cruise for June 2003. Yipeeeeeeee!!!!!! Now the questions are starting to pop up in my head.

1. What is the driving distance from WDW to the cruise port?

2. Should we get there by 11 and how long will be waiting in line?

3. How many suitcases per person are we allowed?

4. How much is car parking at the port per day?

5. Are the showers full force showers with hot water or trickle water with lukewarm water?

6. Will we need to bring beach towels for the ship pools and Castaway Cay or are they provided?

Thanks everyone for all your help!!!!

I can answer some of your questions.....

1. It took about 45 minutes I think... we used the Disney transportation and I highly recommend it. They show you a little film about the cruise..... adds to the excitement!

2. You don't have to be there that early(but you certainly can).... we hardly waited in line at all..... to check in or to board!!

3. I don't remember any limit on luggage.... but someone else may know if there is one.

4. This I have no idea about!

5. The showers were fine!

6. Towels are provided!!

What cruise are you taking? I took the 4 night Wonder last January.... I loved it!!

You are allowed to check 2 suitcases per person. You are only given 2 luggage tags per person so you have to carry on everything else so keep that in mind when you pack.

Parking at the port was $8/day and had just gone up when we sailed in Jan 02. It may be higher when you sail. Keep checking the boards closer to the time you cruise and someone who just sailed can give you the exact amount at that time.

The gates to the terminal open at 10:30- no need to be there any earlier. Boarding starts around 12- 12:30. There are cartoons playing on TV's in the terminal to keep the kids entertained. They continue to board until 4:30 - 5:00. So it is up to you when you want to arrive.

Hi Snowball! My first advice is do NOT miss Disney Dreams!! We went to the matinee at 3 pm and had great seats! It was a great show. Spend some time in the RainForest room..... that was pretty awesome. If I think of anything else I will let you know..... I had the best time of my life those 4 days.... next time I want to take the family on a 7 night.

5. Are the showers full force showers with hot water or trickle water with lukewarm water? The showers are better at the Vista Spa... more room and better water pressure.
