The Great Resort Restaurant Showdown 1-2

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello, and welcome. Every 3 days I will give you two restaurants that are inside a Dsiney Resort, and all you have to do is label the better of the two. The winner moves onto the next round (The Great Eight), and then more round will pursue. Then, the final four move on to the finals, where the two best will go face to face to name themselves "Best Resort Restaurant" If you have been to both restaurants, pick the best from personal experience. If you have been to one and no of a review for another, base it off of both your experience and the other's. If you have reviews of both, base it off of them. If you love one restaurant and no nothing of the other, pick that one, while if you hate one restaurant, choose the other. If you have heard nothing of either, pick which one sounds better.

Round 1 Results Victoria & Albert's-Chef Mickey's

Having never eaten at either, I have heard the Boma has some great food. I am from New England so eating at Cape May does not appeal to me.

I know a lot of people rave about Boma, but we had a terrible time there. Way too crowded (long, long lines at every station....like 25-30 people in line at all times we were there at each section. Waiter told us "there's no lines, just go to the section you want...but then when you try & do that, all the people in lines yell "there's a line here, we've been waiting, go to the back of the line" Place is set up poorly to handle large crowds. And the food is, shall we say...oddly seasoned (or not seasoned at all:rotfl: ) We found it to be over-spiced (like red-hot cinnamon BBQ ribs?) or totally tasteless. JMHO...you better be interested in very different flavor combinations & large crowds if you try Boma for dinner.

We liked Cape May.

If you were talking breakfast I would say Boma all the way (although Cape May breakfast is a very close second) but for dinner I had to go the other way and pick Cape May. We tried Boma dinner for the first time last month and we didnt care for the food at all.
