Was wondering if anyone knows about any Dolphin excursions that the islands might have. I will be going in July on Eastern/Magic leaving June 28th-July 6th

We are sailing in august 2003 only, but i read a lot on
the cruises and i know that the wonder have the
"dolphin encounter" were you go waist deep in water
and interact with a dolphin.I want to take my 9 years old daughter, so if someone did actually took the excursion, please give us your feedback:)

I had the same question, and searched the board for "dolphin encounter" with good results. We're adults with no kids, so we are doing the "swim" in Nassau, which is deeper water and has more time with the dolphins. It has to be booked by you or your TA; Disney only does the short "encounters".
The website for the Nassau company is http://www.dolphinswims.com . It's the same company that does the Disney-scheduled "encounters".
We'll let you know how we liked it :)

Princess. There is a place near St. Martin! http://www.dolphinfantaseas.com/ I just e-mailed them (info@dolphinfantaseas.com) and got a cool brochure and picture download from them. You want the Anguilla location. Dave hooked me up to a site about them http://www.news.ai/ref/dolphins.html and Ginger has done this. They told me that they are working with DCL to make it a DCL excursion, but for now, you need to book it thru shoretrip.com.
Here are the directions that I was given in the e-mail from Chris at Dolphinfantasea, (who seems very nice)!
"It is really very easy to do our program in Anguilla from the cruise terminal is St Marten, in fact we are negotiating with Disney to sell our programs directly on the ship, but no guarantees yet. There are two ways you can do this, one is to visit the Shoretrips.com web site where we will shortly have a program for individuals all inclusive (transportation to and from our facility, port taxes and the dolphin encounter), we currently have this on line for groups. Secondly you can do it on your own: take a taxi from the cruise ship terminal in Phillipsburg (Dutch side) to the ferry terminal in Marigot (French side), approximate cost $20.00, then take the ferry from Marigot to Anguilla, $10.00 per person for the ferry + $2.00 pp departure tax, YOU WILL NEED YOUR PASSPORTS, then a taxi from the ferry terminal to Dolphin Fantaseas, $13.00. You do the opposite on the return. Transportation should take you about 1 1/2 hours each way. Plan on spending some time on the beach next to our facility Meads Bay - it is gorgeous, see attached. I have attached our brochure in PDF format for you. I would book the 11.30 AM program, this will give you plenty of time."
Sounded pretty involved to me, but I think it would be worth it. The cost is $105.
Hope this information helps. Tell him I sent'cha ;)
Would love to hear from Ginger about this.
Oh yea, the brochure shows three types of visit.
1. Dolphin encounter - waist deep, pet them, learn about them.
2. Dolphin Swim - deeper water, swim with and feed them, etc.
3. Stingray Encounter - feed and pet them, etc.

DreamsDoComeTrue, "Ginger" didn't do the dolphin swim at Anguilla, but she and her party did go to Anguilla, so I'm sure she could supply you with first-hand info about the taxis, the ferry, the departure tax, and the passport check. You can follow this link send a PM to "Ginger".
