can you add dining when you get to Hotel

I purchase a package deal air flight hotel. Was not sure on the Disney dining plan was wondering if would could add it when we sign in at POP century.

Also the 200.00 gift card we get for going in February. Could we use that to purchase part of the dining plan? I have seen that you could but when I read the fine print it says can not be combined with any packages.

No, you cannot add the DDP upon arrival. I think it has to be added at least 3 days before arrival. I have also seen posts where people were told 6 days, so a week before would probably be safest.

As for the gift card, I don't know for sure. I would think not, since I assume you get that at arrival. But I believe you could use it to cover tips if you decide to add the DDP.

You can use the gift card to purchase meals while in Disney, say you are hungry and want to stop at a TS, you could use the gift card for your meal. Again, depending on if the restaurant accepts the Disney Gift card. It can not be used to pay for your package and you can not add dining when you get there. I think I read up to 72 hours before you go but not totally sure on that. I agree that one week would be a safe bet to add at the last minute.

The dining plan must be added to your reservation at least 72hrs prior to arrival.
