Wildlife at Work

Where I sit in our office I overlook an enclosed quadrangle. We put seeds and nuts out for birds and so far we have had the following come and feed almost every day:

2 Great ****
2 Blue ****
1 Chaffinch
1 Green Finch

It's lovely to watch them coming and going. The small tree we hang the feeders from is only about 6 feet from my window so get a really good view of them.

I've put feeders up at home to attract birds, but I think we have too many cats living locally.

I always put lots of bird food and nuts out in our back garden and despite having two dogs we get lots of wildlife. Including hedgehogs, woodpeckers, pheasants, foxes, robins, black squirrels, herons and once we even had a deer. I love gazing out of the window, it's so relaxing.

We put a bird feeder out, but the squiral took the lid off and got in it, causing it to break.

Sounds lovely Tim:) In the early hours at work coming to the end of a nightshift I have seen a family of deer and a family of fox. We also have very large hares, nearly the size of dogs :)

Isn't it funny the way the birds names are blocked out... :)

We've just had our garden done, so I've ordered a couple of feeders and one specially for squirrels. We still have the red squirrels here and one has come into our garden every now and then so i hope he'll come back.

I love watching the birds, we get **** and finches and a lot of robins, but we also have some turtle doves and quite a few of rooks and magpies, which chase the smaller birds away :(

How lovely, we live oposite a conservation area so see lots of wild life,tons of birds,squirels,foxes,deer,hedgehogs and rabbits

its very pretty but hard work as we have 3 cats and they try and catch a fair bit of the wildlife and give to us as presents :headache:
