How much room do you have to hang clothes? Is it like the tiny space in hotel rooms or do they allow more room? Seems like I read something about a closet on a old post but can't say definitely. I am trying not to overpack but with all of these shoes and misc items I'm wondering how on earth I will get everything to fit. I have never tried to roll clothes before in order to pack. How effective is it and please offer a few tips.

It's fair. There was only two of us and it was tight but doable. We left a lot of stuff in our suitcase and hung up the evening cloths.
I tried rolling cloths once and didn't like it. I found not to over pack is the key after two cruises.
I also make sure now that I bring evening cloths that all go with ONE pair of dress shoes it helps. My first cruise I had to bring black and light color shoes now I pack everything to wear that will go with the light color shoes just one little tip I learned the hard way.

When my family and I traveled on our two seven day cruises we had more than enough room for our "finer things" in the closet of our Cat. 10 stateroom. On one side the closet extends to the bottom and on the other half you have the safe, two shelves, and storage for the life preservers with more hanging room (for shirts and shorter items, also plenty of room for all of our shoes). We have only 1 child who at four doesn't require much closet space. We actually kept our luggage in our closet but I've read on this board that if you ask your stateroom atttendent they can store it for you elsewhere on the ship. Good luck and enjoy!
We always overpack. However, on our cruise we found that the suitcases fit quite nicely under the bed. We had plenty of room in the closet without having the suitcases in the way.
