View Full Version : Favorite off site activity other than the theme parks???
This will be our first trip to Orlando where we will not be staying on Disney property.
We're looking forward to our stay at the Marriott Grande Vista and exploring Orlando.
We have booked a day at Discovery Cove(w/ the dolphin swim) and will go to US/IOA.
Other than the theme parks, what would be fun for a family with teenage boys???
Thanks.................:bounce: :bounce:

I like Sak Comedy Lab. It's like a live version of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" Wayne Brady got his start there.
Check them out at: www.sak.com.

I don't know if you have considered the water parks or not, but they are AWESOME! It is the perfect day to relax and have a good time! We like to go to Typhoon Lagoon after 2 days at the parks, to take a break. We took our 7 m. old DD 2 weeks ago and she even had a blast! :D Poor thing even fell sound asleep in the wave pool...

Discovery Cove includes a 7 day pass to Sea World, so you may want to see that. Plenty of Kitschy things such as Mini Golf, Ripley or Guiness museum.... Don't also forget there is CityWalk at USF and Pleasure Island....
If you are going for only a week, you will have no time to do 25% of what you want.....

My son got hooked on the go karts at the Fun Spot on I-Drive www.fun-spot.com
We went there with his friends parents on New Years Eve. There were loads of teen boys and adults going on and off. I ended up rear ending someone...

Do 15 year old boys still enjoy bikinis and beach volleyball? :D
To the beach, we saw Kennedy Space Center, then kept going and found a beach near Cape Canaveral. A great day.
