I know I read about this somewhere about a year ago. Where can you get the wine package? What wines are included? How much? we are on 7 day. Has anyone done this? Is it worth it? My parents like to drink wine with dinner

We purchased the wine package on both of our seven day cruise. Although I don't recall any certain wines listed(check www.***************** to see if Barb has a list on her site) I can give you the general information. There are two packages, a regular package and the premium package. We purchased the lowere end package for about $150.00, which allowed us seven bottles to be used with dinner at our discretion. There were many choices of reds, whites, and two or three champagnes. If we didn't finish a particular bottle we usually took it with us to have at the noghts show or up on deck. You are given a list of the choices in your package and your assistant server will assist you each night with the selection. My husband and I enjoy wine with dinner and we found the package to be a bargain!!! Hope this helps!

Try here for the standard wine list (don't think the premium is listed anywhere, I have looked and asked and cannot find a link for it).

I know that you register for the wine tastings, but how do you secure this wine with dinner package? Do I handle this on board or in advance? We have a lot of reserverations to make (spa, Palo, wine tasting etc. . .) so if I can handle this in advance, it would be great.

We always enjoy wine with dinner and if its really a bargin, I want to take advantage of it.

Thanks!

As for handling or ordering the wine package, you can take care of this at your first dinner. They also have one or two wine displays near Lumier's on the Magic if you want to see the wine inventory before you order the package with dinner. On the two occasions that we ordered the package our assistant servers(who handle all of your beverage needs at assigned seating meals) have been helpful and knowledgeful on wine selection. Once again if you and members of your party frequently enjoy wine with dinner this is a very worthwhile investment during your cruise, and don't worry if you only prefer reds or whites, we have never been restricted in ordering a certain amount of either on the regular wine package.

We chose the premium wine package and were very pleased with the selection. If you do not find a wine you like on the standard list you can simply get a credit (approx. $32/bottle) toward the purchase of any wine on the wine list (that is not on package). We found lots of good choices and our preferences were mostly cabs and merlots. The were also several excellent white wines (dry or sweet to choose from). Go for it - it's worth it and very convenient! By the way the gratuity (18%) is automatically added to the package price.
