Got home yesterday afternoon around 4ish.
We are sooo tierd but we had an AMAZING time.
Sorry i didnt come on DIS boards yesterday, i was sooo excited and was on facebook most of last night, adding 4 albums of photos :rotfl:
Im looking forward to writing my trip report, will need to add my photos to photo bucket first.
Its my daughter's birthday tomorrow so having a very little party for her so got some things to do today, but will get round to my trip report, hopefully on Tuesday.
Our 5 days in Disney was truly amazing and magical.
The Enchanted Candlebration was stunning and the Xmas atmosphere, snow on Main St, Xmas decs and music was brilliant.
The parades were fantastic, both Once Upon A Dream and the Fantillusion were both lovely.
5 days was perfect, we got to see shows, and go on rides a few times and take our time to soak in the atmosphere without rushing.
Mon & Tues was quite busy, as tues was a french holiday. But it was nothing really bad, the most time for a queue for a ride was 45mins.
Wed-Fri was very very quiet and we were able to walk on IASW, Peter Pan, Buzz and all the other popular rides, which was great as we got lots done in one day.
Mickeys Winter Wonderland was amazing, we went twice as it was so good.
Loved the stunt show, Wild West Show was fantastic!
Animagic was my favourite and Hannah loved it too.
Hubby went on TOT and come off looking green :lmao:
He said he was glad he went on to try it, but wouldnt go on again :rotfl2:
We ended up eating our main meal at lunch time as on our 1st day we went straight to Cafe Mickey after arriving for my daughters birthday lunch, and then got a snack in park later in evening for dinner.
After park closed we went to Disney Village to look around shops and we were put off by the resturant queues, so decided on our 1st day to eat our main meal and lunch time, which we found worked well and was more relaxing.
After all bad reviews on Toy Story Tea Party, i was a bit worried about booking it, so i didnt.
When i was there, Hannah was obsessed with the Buzz ride, she went on 6 times and when she saw Toy Story in the parade she went crazy! (she does like toy story)
So on Thursday i thought ''what the hell'' i went to City Hall and booked it for our last day.
And i am sooooooo glad that we did, cus Hannah enjoyed this much more than Cafe Mickey, her face was a picture when she saw Woody, Jessie, and Buzz.
It wasnt busy and it was a calm atmosphere, the characters interacted really really well with the kids, Jessie was playing chasing games with Hannah and Woody was spinning Hannah around :woohoo:
They even went into the play area with the kids.
Chip & Dale also came out wearing chef outfits, it was brilliant.
There was a nice selection of sweet things and lots to drink.
Although i think it would be nice to have a nice balance of savoury and sweet, as all sweet was a bit much.
Hannah enjoyed the freedom of running around in play area, and playing with characters, as there was lots of space and no where for her to escape so me and hubby had a chilled out snack and drink, it was so relaxed and i loved it! Im so glad we did it, as we have got some amazing photos and Hannah hasnt stopped talking about it!
For 30 Euros i think it was a bargain! :thumbsup2
So that was our highlights, and im so excited about writing my trip report to tell u all about our trip :yay:

Thanks so much for that report :goodvibes . So glad you had a great trip.
I loved hearing about the Tea Party too. I have booked this already for our trip and was a bit worried about the reports but thought I may as well book as my DS really loves the toy story characters.

Emma definately take Kyra for the Tea Party if any of your kids are Toy Story fans then its a must :thumbsup2
I think it was a brilliant experience cus it was not busy and such a relaxed atmoshphere and because it wasnt busy the character interaction was FAB!
I just wish that there was some savoury food aswell ... we managed to eat 3 small cakes, fruit salad and a cookie with a hot choc and that was forcing it down hahaha :rotfl:
Not sure when our next trip will be, i would like to go every year but it depends on money.
Might persaude hubby to book another trip when he gets his yearly bonus nxt year :thumbsup2
It was quite expensive there, i was worried about the spending money we were taking, we came back with 30euros change, only cus i went mad in the shops :lmao:
But the food is very pricey but now i can see that it is possible to do it on a budget, cus theres Mc Donalds and Pizza Planet and various other takeaways that is cheaper than the table service resturants.

I do think it's a shame that when they moved the tea party from the plaza gardens to pizza planet, they removed all the savoury food, as from what was said by other people regarding the old tea party, you could get yourself a reasonably complete meal (some savoury plus cakes) for the same amount as you pay for the new tea party, where you now only get the cakes.
Plus, from a person point of view, I prefer the old range of characters to the toy story ones, although that will vary from one person to another, plus I don't think toy story suits a tea party theme too well.
Personally I think I'd rather they'd moved it somewhere like Auberge or similar, then used the Winnie the Pooh characters who I think would suit the theme far better :)

What time did you eat there Sarah?
We ate there at 5pm, i think its only a 5pm sitting now.
Thats why Hannah enjoyed it, cus it was sweets and cakes and also the big space to run around and the play area and of course the characters.
She had freedom! heeheehee!
Cafe Mickey was very expensive, food was ok but not as good as Anettes IMO.. Hubby had lasagne and it was tiny and not so good, i had pinnocho pasta which was quite nice.... and the price of the food i was forcing Hannah to eat her pasta but she wouldnt GRRRRR! Bill for 2 adults 1 child and bday cake was 88 Euros :scared1: thats including the cake! (which we didnt eat, took home in box)
And it was hard to keep an eye on Hannah in CMickey, i had to keep bringing her bk to table cus she wanted to chase the characters.
But in the Toy Story i wasnt bothered if she ate or not cus we didnt pay for her although she did eat quite a bit, as like u say all kids eat up their cakes and sweetys :rotfl:
Also she could run around and play and meet characters while me and hubby relaxed and chatted, it was FAB!

I found the Lasagne very small when i had eaten that previously, also the kids food Kyra isnt keen on. We go really just for the atmosphere and interaction lol.
I still need to actually eat inside Annettes lol.

Your right, the atmosphere and character interaction makes the shock of the food bill seem ok :rotfl:
It was a brilliant place to celebrate Hannah's birthday, and her face was a picture when her cake came out.
You must eat in Anettes oooooh Yummy! We had a steak bagette with onions and tons of melted cheese over it, with chips and a milkshake.. ooooh it was sooo yummy!

We were really lucky with weather.. it was cold but very sunny and only one day it was wet but not pouring, just a little shower, so ground was wet but nothing bad.
Hannah did well with late nights, there was so much for her to see to keep her going. Although she often fell asleep just b4 the parade, so i would let her have an hours nap and wake her for the fantillusion parade.
Money wasnt as bad i thought it would be as i was worried before we went, but infact we had too much.
Food is expensive in the table service resturants but there are nice little takeout resturants, plenty to choose from for a cheaper alternative.
I think we took a bit too much, we took £600 for 5days and had plenty left over to spend in the Disney Shops and we even went to the shopping mall called Val' Europe (cant spell it) and got hubby a GUESS wallet.
Hannah got some lovely things and i got lots of xmas tree decs and a nice mug, and even had enough to bring back friends a keyring ;)
We were going to go on the hot air balloon but didnt bother cus it was gona cost 24 euros :scared1:
And thought we would rather spend that in the shops, and i ended up getting hannah a dancing cinderella that plays music, so lovely, but not to be played with as its breakable, so i have put it up high in her room and she keeps asking for me to wind it up to listen to it :rotfl:

Forgot to mention about the buggy and parades... well the first 2 days Mon and Tues was busy so we ended up taking Hannah out of buggy and putting buggy beside a shop wall in Main St while Parade was on.
(that was on Mon, Tues we didnt watch parade aswe went to Wild West Show)
Wed, Thurs was not busy so we found a spot and kept buggy beside us.
Tip.... Find a spot to wait for the parade at LEAST 30mins before, otherwise it is total madness!

:rotfl: no probs ur not spoiling my trip report, i cant wait to tell u all but got Hannahs bday party tomorrow so got loads to do, so will hopefully start it on Tues.
The queue for Santa was long and we waited but then Hannah saw Woddy there and wanted to see him instead and she wanted to play in the Toy Story area. So we ended up leaving the queue, as santa seemed to take alot of time with each child causing a long wait, so we just looked around instead, took some pics of the snow scene and Hannah played in the Toy Story area and she did post her letter to Santa at the Post Office.
