Just wondering about leaving your interest in DVC . . .

If you buy into DVC and don't make it another 40+ years - can you leave your interest to someone, like your kids?

I seem to remember something in some of the copius writings we got at the begining. I believe it is treated like real estate in terms of a will.

Yes, it is a deeded real estate interest that should be included as part of your estate.

It is my understanding that the DVC interest could be passed along to anyone you name in your will. I believe this is true with most timeshares. When we purchased I include my son on the deed and it is included in the will. This is important to know although it may not be a pleasant subject to discuss. Let's hope everyone can enjoy as long as possible!!!!

several months ago there were a fair amount of postings on how disney will have to make a lot of changes to the dvc resorts by the year 2042 to help us older "mouseketeers" get around in wheelchairs, etc. i can't remember the original topic/thread, but we had a lot of fun will all our "ideas".
