Clumpy fabric softener?

I don't use fabric softener, except for during the winter. Today, while doing laundry, I discovered that my almost full bottle of Downy (at least a year old) is all clumpy. I gave it a good shake and used it anyway, but it left a lot of residue in the fabric softener dispenser.

Is there a way to salvage it, or is it ruined?

Water it down a bit and shake the begeebers out of it. If it freezes, it will clump up....I found out when I left some in the van and forgot about it last winter.

I would run it through the blender.
