2010 Destination Discussion thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1931478

& some rumors about 2010.... From the Dis team... but SHHHHHHHHHH it's secret!!!

2010 SAILINGS - RUMORS, RUMORS, RUMORS

We want to "dish some dirt" about the 2010 sailings. Keep in mind, these are just rumors, but that's how most of this begins.

It looks like the Wonder will be doing 5 and 4 night sailings in June, July and August of 2010. They won't alternate, it will be two 5's and a 4 night. No idea of where it will be going, but it should "ease the pain" for those wanting to sail while school's out and want more than 3 night sailings when the Magic is expected to be overseas.

We already got the glimpse of the Magic being scheduled to be in the Baltics. However, there appears there's a twist to this as it may not be heading there straight away.

From what we've heard, on April 10, the Magic heads on a 14 night Transatlantic voyage. It arrives on 4/24 and begins with an 11 night sailing. On 5/5 there's a 10 night, on 5/15 an 11 night and on 5/26 a 10 night.

Here's where it gets interesting. On 6/5 there's a 7 night. Hmm...could the Magic be traveling from say, Barcelona to England? Are those 10 and 11 night sailings in April and May in the Mediterreanean? It would appear so.

From England, the Magic is scheduled for four 12 night sailings starting on 6/12. These are rumored to be the Baltics, including Copenhagen, Oslo and Warnemunde, Germany.

On July 30, it appears that there's going to be an 8 night sailing. We're speculating this is back to Barcelona. The schedule from there is an 11 night on 8/7, a 10 night on 8/18, an 11 night on 8/28, and a 10 night on 9/8.

Finally, on 9/18, the Magic should be heading "home" on a 14 night Transatlantic voyage.

Again, none of this is confirmed, these are "rumors."

Shh....let's be sure this is kept just among friends.

Ok... so my nephew went to WDW last week for his VERY first trip there... first airplane trip also...

Of course the kid (and my brother) went with the "Aunt Shell's Guide to Surviving Disney" tips.. they stayed offsite at a friends house - Jack works at V&A's at the GF...

So... it took 3 calls (my sister in law is such a ditz sometimes... love her but she's a ditz...) to get through to him and to see how he liked it..

Poor kid... I think I grilled him like and interrogation... debriefing has never been so tough...

He had a great time... road all the biggies at least once... bought a goofy hat... ate a caseys dog... Hit Spectromagic, Fantasmic, ROE and Wishes in 4 days (I don't think I've been able to do that...) DID NOT RIDE THE HAUNTED MANSION :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: (my only failing...)

But he does want to go back... I think I have another convert...

He after all... my godson...

If I ever get pictures... I'll post some... but that may be a few years... they never send them in time... :upsidedow

 Good morning. Still have a few pages to go on the last thread. Have to hit the shower in about 15 minutes...gotta go get my hair cut and will color it when I get home. Peg has screamed at me the last few times I've seen her as the roots and grey are pretty darn bad! As long as I'm doing the beautifying...gess I'll get a pedicure this weekend too! :lmao: I only work three days next week, then have a four day weekend to play with ex-sister-in-law and Peg. After that it's Thanksgiving....where has the year gone?

Molly is with her friend at a neddlepoint store, eek Molly and neddles!!!!

Wil and I are watching cartoons.

Paul is at the hardware store. When he gets home we are attacking the bathroom tub/shower caulking.

I think we should take the Halloween decorations down today. Not sure if I'm putting up any Xmas. Since we will be gone, kinda nice not to bother. Wonder if we will even bother with a tree, most likely not. I don't like it being here when we are gone, so no tree I just decided. We have one on the lawn. Our nieghborhood has done them for the past 4 years, they look neat. We all stick them in the center of our lawns to look the same as you drive down the street. Lots of neighborhoods do that here in San Jose.

I got a new external hard drive for a double backup of my pictures, I should work on that today. And getting the kids computer table cleaned up. We have old Mickey Mouse computers (got 'em from Disney 3+ years ago) and they are terrible stuff, but so darn cute that I haven't gotten rid of them. Maybe the screens can be used for something???? Willie got his laptop back last night (we rebuilt an old one of ours for him to use) I'm sure he will be very happy soon to have his own computer (again)

ok time to get busy....

Hey Nan!!!

Molly will be fine... just have little bandaids for her when she gets home!!!

Is she working on her sewing badge?

When we are away we put up a little tree in our house. We got it at CVS a few years ago.. complete with ornaments and such. We may go that way this year also seeing as we will be away in Jersey too... But I do love the smell of a fresh tree... :lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc

Got lots of stuff done. Hair cut, pedicure done, stopped at the dollar store to start gathering supplies for my Christmas stockings for wounded soldiers, had lunch, made some long distance calls, drove through the parking lot of both the super Walmart and Target and did NOT go in.....WAY too crowded. I'll save that shopping for early tomorrow morning, or later tonight. Have a load in the washer and another in the dryer and am thinking about a NAP!

Also feeling good about making a $1,000 visa payment! :thumbsup2

allrighty, got the computers all set up and printing and even got my scanner re-hooked up, I've been seeing lots of '80s photos lately on Facebook, have the need to add mine to the collections.

I was thinking about getting Wilson on the DIS. What is the age that is required? I think he would like chatting here, maybe with us, maybe on the Repo thread. I'd suggest it to Molly but her computer skills just are not up to the level of his, also I think his interest in talking online is greater than hers. I think the age is 13 and he for sure can pass for that in an online circle, with wit and scarasm :rolleyes1

I also got my new hard drive installed and downloaded the pics from my laptop to it. Now to move the ones from my desk (in the office) to the new hard drive. It's never a bad idea to have lots of back-ups. For some reason in my mind I have this irrational fear of our house being broken into and our computers being taken and my pictures being lost. I would be crushed it this happened. I also have discs of pictures as backups, but I guess I also have this silly fear that those would also be taken. Not sure why I'm concerned like this, but I am. I might leave a set at my moms or sisters that might rid me of this fear.

Paul is in the tub with a razor blade and scraper working on removing the old caulk. Wilson headed to the park to play baseball with a friend and dad so I'm here doing nothing much useul and dising. I should be putting the laundry away, but just not in the mood. Shame on me. :sad2:

more mindless dribble from me. Paul finally had a chance to talk to his boss (she has been out of the country on business for weeks on end) and he is able to take our anniversary off from work. He of course won't get paid, as it's an hourly gig, but since I've prepaid for the room glad that we won't be wasting it. So we are set to have our anniversary weekend at:

Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa

Wow, we are on part 8 :upsidedow You guys all must have been very chatty the last few days :)

It is winter here today! Started out raining, but by the time I got off work my car was covered in snow. Sure wish I had worn a winter coat and taken gloves with me this morning, it wasn't supposed to snow until tomorrow. It has been thundering and lightening. It always seems so strange when it does this during a snowstorm! Our city has it's Christmas parade tonight, so I guess the weather is fitting. I would much rather watch a Xmas parade in the snow than in the rain. Actually, I'd rather watch it with the "snow" on mainstreet at MK ;)

Hope everyone is keeping well.

What part of Spain is Monica visiting?

Ian, thanks for the info. I've never heard of the automatic set up. Very smart!!! And your menu looks great.

Deb, How are your legs.

Shannon, please tell me it is an indoor pool!... it is 94 here today :scared1:

I went out to dinner with my friend Rich tonight. It's been ages since I've been out to dinner.

I had to walk a whole 2 blocks.

We have not seen each other for quite a while. I was trying to explain to him the whole wedding we had in California.

"You met these people on a cruise and they decided to throw you a wedding?"

It was difficult for him to grasp how this came about. It was even more difficult to explain it to him.

Mine's a Seagate, I've had good luck with one on my desk, so that's what Paul got me again for my laptop for my house play stuff. And yes it is permanately connected, just like an extra drive really.

Sad to hear of how bad the fires are. I hope they can get them under control soon. This has jsut been a terible year for California fires :sad2:

Yes very dry here too. I think we set temp records around here today, might have been up to 80+ All the windows are open and ceiling fans on. It's really way to nice to be Nov. We might head to the beach tomorrow.:woohoo:

I had such a wonderful day today! I'm exhausted and my body is like jello, but I really had a great time, lots of laughs all day. Left home at 7am to go to my friend Libby's house. Libby is the mom of Tyler's best buddy Hunter. The boys have been friends since they were 3 years old in day care. I rode with her to Owosso, a town about 1/2 hour North of Lansing to help her parents move to Lansing. Her dad had already picked up the rental moving truck.

Libby's sister Dani (Tyler's kindergarten teacher last year) and her sister's partner Beth were there, 4 teenagers from the high school where Beth teaches were there to help, Libby & Dani's brother Aaron and his girlfriend Bethany were there, Beth's mom was there, and Pastor Glenn (from our church) and his wife Nancy (who are Bethany's parents). There were also a couple other people, but I never figured out who they were. There may have been more too. Oh, another kindergarten teacher was there too with her daughter. We all filled the moving truck and did the drive back and forth 3 times, plus all the cars were filled each time with the smaller items too. It was pouring rain the whole way, really high winds so the drive on the highway was scary, deer crossing the highway left and right like crazy because today was opening day for hunting and they're all running scared all over. BUT.....we all had lots of laughs and fun the whole day! Doesn't sound possible, but it's such a great family and group of friends. :goodvibes

I wasn't able to help unload the 3rd trip because it was time for me to go pick up Tyler. I took him straight from his dad's back to Libby's parents' new house to help unpack boxes and arrange furniture and stuff. They are renting their daughter Dani's (and Beth's) house because Dani & Beth just bought a new house. The parents were foreclosed upon and the timing worked out right for this arrangement.

After the house was basically all set up with the exception of non-essential items which we just kept in boxes in the garage, Pastor Glenn wanted to treat EVERYBODY to dinner! So we all headed out to eat and had a wonderful meal with lots of laughs. Then Dani (Tyler's former teacher) had us follow her back to her and Beth's new house to give us a tour. VERY NICE. You walk out her back door onto a really nice, big deck, big enough to have a great party on it, there's a tiny lake back there that you can fish in or ride in their paddle-boat, and you walk down a few stairs to a small strip of sandy beach. Tyler was so thrilled to see a little beach right in her back yard, and I suspect he'll be a regular visitor next summer. ;) We hung out there until about 9pm and of course Tyler fell asleep on the way home.

:rotfl2: My mom has officially gone nuts. I just spent an hour on the phone with my her. She was recently in Miami for a couple weeks dog-sitting for her uncle and his partner while they went to Brazil, she came home for one week and left for Chicago on Thursday and just got home tonight. (That explains why she wasn't answering her phone at home. ;) ) Well, she went there with 2 friends for a shopping trip and the hotel they were staying at had a tattoo convention going on. She paid $500 to get the eyeliner tattooing done! :scared: She never planned on this, it was just one of those "I'll do it if you do it" things between friends. :lmao: One of her friends was curious, so they asked questions, then my mom told her friend "I'll do it if you do", fully confident that her ultra conservative friend would never do that. WRONG! Her friend said, "Deal!" Neither thought the other would go through with it, and neither really wanted to. That's just CRAZY! She used to have long black straight hair. Well, she also had it chopped off and died PURPLE!

It's a HUGE deal in our city every year. My mom has come every year I've lived in Lansing to join me because it's so much fun. It's always on a Friday night, so Tyler's never been able to go since he's at his dad's. My mom asks every year if Tyler will ever be able to join us, but I always forget to ask his dad. Well, this time I remembered, he said yes, and my mom's coming to town too again. It's sad that he's never been because almost every kid in Lansing and from other cities goes every year, or at least a few times. His dad has lived here his whole life and has only been TWICE. :sad2: It's an awesome parade, then they light the State Christmas tree, then they shoot fireworks off the Capitol Building right after. You can see Santa and live reindeer, guys walk around with giant containers of hot chocolate on their back to pass out free cups of it to everybody, you can buy a pack of roasted chestnuts for $1, there's live music everywhere, just lots of fun stuff! OH, and the best part of the parade is the end, of course, when Santa comes, BUT in our city, he rides on a FIRETRUCK that's completely covered in Christmas lights with a Christmas wreath on the front. :cool1:

I work until 5, and the parade starts at 6, but you really have to be there at 5 because of the crowds. People come from all over the State for this. So my mom will pick Tyler up from school (provided she doesn't get lost) and will meet me down there. I'll tell her where my friend Libby and her family will be standing and saving a spot for us, and Tyler will help my mom find them, then I'll join them all as soon as I can. :yay: I CAN'T WAIT!

Hi guys, well, it looks like the apocolypse here, but I'll bet it is much worse at Gaylean's house. She is right in between all the fires, but not inside them. our sky is dark and smokey:scared1:

Freeways are shut down and evacuations like crazy.

What part of Spain is Monica visiting?

Ian, thanks for the info. I've never heard of the automatic set up. Very smart!!! And your menu looks great.

Nan, I'm using the Maxtor external hard drive. Instead of moving off of my desk the way I had done before I have it set up permanentaly next to me now. Are you guys as dry as us?

Deb, How are your legs.

Shannon, please tell me it is an indoor pool!... it is 94 here today :scared1:

Hi Kelly!
Yup, its an indoor pool! It was a balmy 35F today;)

Well, I'm pooped. I wanted to go to bed long ago, but I had to send my mom a map to Tyler's school and then directions about where to go in the school to find Tyler. She's pretty good at finding her way around my city just from visiting me often over the years I've lived here (unlike my dad & stepmom who've been here only a handful of times. Maybe 6 times and I've lived here 7 years). But she's never been to the area where his school is. Then I had to send her another map telling her how to get downtown from his school. Then another map of the parade route to tell her which parking ramp to park in, then also try to show her on the map where my friends will be holding a spot for us, and that's where I'll meet up with her and Tyler. :thumbsup2

Whew! I'm about to fall asleep here at the computer. GOODNIGHT ALL! :cloud9:

Actually, we have plenty of room. We just move the dining table into the living room. We have had as many as 16 people for dinner in the past.

I get the garage with Mrs F!!!

By the way, I hadn't realized there was a new thread. Were you people trying to lose me?

Nah... I only mentioned it about 3 times.. you must stop skimming my friend!!!

You didn't tell him how lifelong friendships can be made on the open seas???

By the way, missy, if you and your sister are not at our house next year for Thanksgiving, you are going to be in BIG trouble.

Am I in trouble too???

I get the same shocked and confused reaction from people when I try to explain this amazing group.

I stopped explaining us ages ago...it's our secret society and I'm keeping it that way...

Well all finished here in Winnipeg. Get to fly home tomorrow morning and see the girls (oh yeah and work on the kitchen again!!).

In the old thread Nan made a comment about the pink wigs ("Oh no!") and used the "scared" blue smilie.

Got me an idea from it.

Here is the "pink wig" version (hopefully this works):

I LOVE IT!!!

Glad you had a good day and that you have plans for Friday... I think our Holiday parade is next weekend too... supposed to snow on Thursday maybe... I have to get the foot warmers out...

Hi everybody!
It was a lovely evening. After doing some more painting in the kitchen, I had was given a performance to High School Musical by the girls, complete with the crayola marker microphones. Tonight they linked a bunch together so they could have their microphones reach the ground :lmao: For the grand finale I was given my own blue crayola marker to join in! :lmao:

Now I'm enjoying some nice mango lime salsa with whole wheat tortila chips while watching "Must Love Dogs". All in all a good night :goodvibes

We are off down south to visit John's mum, and also for John to make a couple of business trip. I will shop then hopefully.;)

So, I will no doubt be gone before you all get along here, apart from Deborah anyway, or Deb, Nan or Michelle if they are awake in the night. Or Ian if he is awake very early after his lie in yesterday!!!:rotfl:

Anyway I will be back on Tuesday evening so will pop in then.

Just watching about the fires on our news - it is the headline news today. Very bad for the folks involved, and everyone else suffering with the effects of smoke etc. I hope they are contained very soon.

Good Morning all Gentle Creatures (and Nan)!

I have only 1 WW meeting this morning, because then I have to go out to the distant burbs for our national meeting. They will be introducing the HUGE program changes to us. Otherwise, I wish I as home.

When I do get home, Sukie and I will need to go out to do our grocery shopping and the first part of our Thanksgiving shopping.

I had a nice quiet evening on my own, and actually fell asleep in front of the television, which was crappy, because when I woke up it was time to go to sleep and I couldn't.

I ended up going to sleep at about 11PM (unheard of for me) and of course now I'm tired.

Thanks Nan, me too! I read the reports that were in Tyler's backpack that came home Thurs & Fri and his 2 good days were by no means perfect, there were some rough spots and lots of his usual issues, but he managed to stay in the regular classroom most of his scheduled time there, so that's why we were told they were great days. It's an improvement for sure and nobody got hurt, so that's really good news.

Only one glass of champage was included and it was really too sweet for me. I still drank it, but then I needed more and wanted the kind I like.

So THAT's where you got the name Cindy?.....hahaha.....just kidding. We had to pay extra for the bottle of bubbly, but that's ok coz we got to keep it. It will be empty very soon.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Nope that's not where I got the name but it did help us become friends. The champagne we usually get is sweeter too which I think is weird. It seems like most people wouldn't get more if it were dry. Well except people like us that like it. I'm glad you are having fun. We are doing chores. I did poor a glass of wine but it seems to be getting warm because I am working soooo hard.

Hi everyone,
Gee, I'm all caught up...on this thread!:lmao:

Happy birthday, Deb! It looks like you had a nice birthday brunch. Hi to everyone else (I won't name names because it's very likely I'd leave someone out accidently and I don't want to slight anyone!).

I was just reading about the wildfires this morning. I hope everyone continues to be OK. Isn't the smoke bothering you, though? We have controlled burns up here, some more coming this week, and the smoke is very aggravating to lots of people (including me).

Today is gorgeous, bright blue sky and in the high 60s, maybe even 70 by now. You can't beat AZ for beautiful weather! I'm mentally sending some sunshine and warmth to all who need it!:goodvibes

Last week was my youngest sister's 50th birthday. Her friends had a dinner for her so I went down. I was also asked to make a video/DVD for the party, which I did. It was fun to go through the old photos. Interesting that some are talking about backing up photos. I, too, have an external HD always connected to my computer and just last night updated the backup of my photo library. I have some of my photos also backed up to CD/DVD, but not all. I don't have my PC photos on DVD because there's almost 10 GB of them and I haven't taken the time to figure out how to divide them up and burn them. Bad me...

The external drive also holds my iTunes, since it's so big. So I'm having a bigger hard drive put in my computer next week. It has a 250 GB but I'm having a 750 GB installed. I was looking at 500, but the price for a 750 was what I thought the 500 would cost so I went for it.

My cruise/WDW trip is just over 2 weeks away! 3 weeks from today we'll be on board the Wonder! I can't believe it's so close. It's like our PC trip, it seemed so far away for so long and now here it is! I think it's going to be so fun to experience the ship with my friends who haven't been before. On the other hand, I'M going to experience WDW for the first time!

There's so much I want to see and do on this trip and I know I won't be able to do it all. I can start to get a little crazy if I let my mind start running...

Economically, this is not such a good time to be taking this kind of trip, but OH WELL! Who knew, even a couple of months ago, what it would be like now??? The cruise is paid for, most of the rest of the trip is paid for now (just got my WDW ticket in the mail the other day). Good for you, Jackie, making the big CC payment! I'll be doing that this month, too. My sisters and I have agreed to not exchange gifts this year and I can start economizing in 2009!:thumbsup2

As I was going through my photos, preparing to back them up, I was overwhelmed by all the blessings I have! Just in this last year, our wonderful TOAL, the DisMeets, Ian & Sukie's wedding, the camaraderie of all of you...I'm getting teary thinking of it. It's coming up on 2 years that we've known each other! Sept. 2009 will be here before we know it! And hopefully I'll get to see some folks when I'm in FL next month. *sniff*

Guess I'll post this now...hope everyone has a beautiful Sunday. I'm going to see the new James Bond movie in a little while.

Happy Early Birthday Brunch Deb!! You really looked beautiful!!

To Cherie, Jackie and Lisa (And Kathe too if you are listening), you guys including me at your table on the WB repo really made the cruise for me. I looked forward to seeing all of you every day! I wish I was going on the Sept. cruise but because of my teaching schedule, I can't. But if I could, I would be there so quick!

Thanks so much Tammy, so sweet of you to say. I really enjoyed myself today.

We wish you were coming on the Sept cruise too. You will be greatly missed. Even though we didn't sit together on the PC cruise, we would be sitting together on the Tortola cruise if you were coming. Sorry I'm going to miss that. Some other time, I hope.

What a show!!! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: Did you tell them that they will have to take it on the road???

La, la, la, la, la .... Oh, pardon me? Did you say something?

You? If you don't come, you'll be in big trouble. Also that cute one who lives with you.

The cute one was sold with the menu... also if she doesn't have to cook... and she'll leave the green beans and the wire hangers home... ;)

THESE are the memories you'll have all your life! What a wonderful night.

I'm meeting a friend from 5th grade for lunch today at Ruby Tuesday's and we're dining on the patio. It's going to hit the 80's today (a bit warmer than normal for November) and is bright and sunny. Anyway, if your ears are burning, it's because I'll be telling stories about you all today!

The building we had brunch in:

Another building on the grounds. It was a huge place with many buildings, but not all the pics came out clear.

http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t310/EllaEnchanted00/bdaybubblybrunch022.jpg

We didn't take pictures of food, but I had a scone, fruit, quiche, bacon, turkey croquet, hashed brown potatoes and a vanilla cake with coconut cream frosting. I brought the cake home with me because I was full. I also brought home a half of a bottle of champagne. Cake and bubbly are my snacks for football today. Ummm Good!

Busy day today doing stuff around the house. Tyler de-cluttered his bookshelves in the living room, I did dishes and laundry, put the boxes of Halloween decorations that had been sitting on my kitchen floor since the day after Halloween into the attic, put up a few Thanksgiving decorations, moved my computer into my bedroom because I just got a desk yesterday so my computer no longer has to live on my microwave cart in the kitchen, moved my microwave onto the microwave cart, moved toaster and can opener over to where the microwave used to sit, de-cluttered the kitchen, went grocery shopping, played a couple games with Tyler at some point, watched a Scooby Doo video at some point, and am now finally sitting down to relax.

Now I'm off to watch the rest of Extreme Makeover Home Edition and then Desperate Housewives, so you'll see my disappear. Since my computer is now in my bedroom, I can no longer see the TV in the living room while I'm on it, so I'll have to settle for checking during commercials. :thumbsup2

Hi All....we're back from brunch and had a wonderful time. The atmosphere and food was perfect....but the bubbly was the best part! Here's the pics.

The building we had brunch in:

Another building on the grounds. It was a huge place with many buildings, but not all the pics came out clear.

Here's the scenery from up there:

Our national/regional meeting yesterday was really inspiring. It was probably about 2000 people.

They showed a video of some members who lost more than 100 lbs and it was really inspiring. People who's lives were transformed.

One woman told how she had collapsed on her stairs and could not walk up to her bedroom and how desperate she had become. She reached her goal and lost over 120 pounds.

A guy who lost over 100 pounds talked about how when he started he couldn't walk and now he runs marathons.

Another older woman lost 140 pound THREE times. She finally figured out that she needed to keep coming to meetings to keep the weight off.

It was remarkable and inspiring.

Hi Michelle, I'm here. I just got in. I was out all day today. Had a mamo scheduled and it's an hour away from the house and I had to go to my GP's office first to pick up the written order. So John stayed home and drove me and we were gone most of the day.

The mamo tech lady really hurt me a lot. I used to get 4 pictures taken total, but today they did 9. The lady that used to do them was very gentle, but not this lady she just grabbed hard and hurt, then the machine hurt too of course. Anyway I'm glad that's over with. Next week I have to see the GP for my annual check up and then see the woman doctor in his office for another annual check up. I always do all my routine appointments in November near my birthday so that I remember to do the appointment and to get a clean bill of health for my birthday.

Newsflash, the woman in the office today was verifying my info and it reminded me that it's been ten years since I had my last hot flash. WOW did that make me feel old and used up. Then she asked if all my pertinent inside parts were still in there. Oh, that just makes me feel like a used car ready for the junkyard.

We want to try to get everyone together sometime. I think we are pushing for Sept now. We thought it would be nice to do an anniversary party of some sort. Deb said she'll come and we are just trying to see if anyone else from out of town would want to come so we can set a date. I think it is hard for everyone financially so we wanted to make it far enough out so that everyone can save. I guess it wouldn't be much of an anniversary without Ian and Sukie.

Ian, I'll be reserving Thanksgiving vacation time. :thumbsup2

.

We love having a big crowd, and we have a blast.

We used to have a Boxing Day tea party (I might have mentioned it). I used to start baking and freezing the day after Thanksgiving, and continued baking (nearly every night) until Christmas.

There were sweets and savories, one 6 foot table of each. And nothing but tea to drink.

The last year we had it, we had over 180 people. I remember just sitting in our bedroom in the basement, exhausted. It finally got to be too much for me and we stopped.

The only remnant of it now is how we go all out for Thanksgiving.

Yes I have because Jon's parents live in the mountains and it snows there. Plus it snowed here last year :lmao: and it even stayed on the ground for a few minutes.

It would be wonderful to have you and Miss Jackie. Should I start planning now?

You're going to have to put an extension on Eastwood Manor with everyone who is coming next year...

& Sukie's gonna have to start peeling veggies in March... ;)

Now that sounds like fun! I can bring my own Aerobed, sheets and towels. (I'm a low-maintenance guest). I'll even bring an apron and a paring knife!

It would be hysterical to have an anniversary party without us!

Hysterical, but not impossible!

I could always drag some heaters out to the garage, and set-up some tables out there. We could turn it into the Road Trash Holiday Cafe.

That's the room where you could serve the green bean casserole!:thumbsup2

Scuba diving Wii game???? Sounds cool!

The way I understand it, an iPod Touch holds music and video like an iPod, but in addition it is capable of connecting to the internet anywhere there's a WiFi signal. That way you can buy and download music, etc. directly to your iPod. You would also have all the capabilities of a regular internet connection, which I don't know if you'd want a kid to have (unsupervised)...? A regular iPod is synced with one of your computers and you add music and videos to it from that computer; no internet connection.

I think she will really like the scuba, I let ya know how it is. Did I tell you she did a scuba thing at Monterey Bay Aquarium? I've been rethinking my desire to make her wait to get certified. We let Wilson have his dangerous racing passion at a silly young age because I guess we aren't scared of it ourselves. Alot of my thoughts on Molly not diving are because it scares me, which is a silly reason to not let her follow her heart. So....I might just offer her the chance to take lessons next year for her bday. We'll see :rolleyes1

I guess I'm being naive about thinking it's ok for Molly to have internet access without me being around. Her on her own misusing it isn't my fear but she has friends that would pressure her to use it to no good. I think I will talk with Paul about that point and perhaps lean to the classic for that reason. Thanks for offering the advice, even if I knew it was internet connection I just wasn't thinking of it as one.

OH HOW VERY PRETTY......thank you all so very much! It's very festive and I love everybody's birthday wishes.

I woke up during the night and then saw a present and a card sitting on my laptop waiting for me to open. I was born at 4am so I'm awake and waiting until then to rip this card and present open.

While I was waiting, I went to all the birthday horoscope sites for today's birthday and read all about my upcoming year.

Now I have just under 15 minutes to wait. I'm so excited and anxious to see this gift. I know it's my Mickey name necklace, but I haven't seen it up close and personal yet, much less being able to wear it.

John wrapped it in beautiful hot pink shiny paper with a sparkly hot purple bow. It's georgous. I took a pic for you all to see, but photobucket is down right now....so you'll have to wait until it comes back online.

Eight minutes left. I'm really getting excited. It's getting close.

Hi everyone, Michelle coaxed me to drop in again and say hi as I have been very busy with the boys. I want to wish Deb a very happy birthday as we scorpio's need to stay together. The boys took me out for a nice dinner and a beer (of course, could not be a LBB without one) on the 16th for my b-day. We have signed up for the Northern European Capitals (NEC) trip on 12 Jun 10, so we hope to see everyone again. I know a lot of you folks are planning for the Trans-atlantic and it is an absolute fantasitic trip.

Hope to poke my head in every so often.

Hugs to all.

I remembered....

I got some Wii games on sale at Toys R us yesterday:

mario kart
indiana jones lego
sim city (kid version)
scuba diving

I think I'm almost done with Xmas shopping. I need to get Paul a sweater and I think that's it. Short lists for the extended family this year, since we are travelling together, we are foing to do a gift card or something like that.

Oh yeah, one more thing, we are getting Molly an ipod. Trying to decide between the touch and the classic. She says she wants the touch, so she can check stuff online, but I'm not really sure that is what she will use it for internet, but more for video and songs. Anyone have any info on this????

Santa doesn't visit our house.

Now that sounds like fun! I can bring my own Aerobed, sheets and towels. (I'm a low-maintenance guest). I'll even bring an apron and a paring knife!

That's the room where you could serve the green bean casserole!:thumbsup2

Then we can all hop on the El and bring the Obamas a pumpkin pie.

Good Morning all Humanoids (and Nan),

It is cold here. Right now it's 26F though it supposed to go up to 35F. Later this week, Thursday, it's supposed to go as low as 20F. This is unusually cold for this time of year. It's usually in the 40's and doesn't drop like that until January. This does not portend well.

This is going to be another stressful week and I'm worried because I'm supposed to take 2 days off next week before the holiday. We have so much to get done this week.

Hi Lisa. Have you been reading about us trying to get a reunion together? Would you guys be interested?

I have been - our DL AP's are still good thru March 09 so Feb would be our choice of dates (plus Darrell can't take off anytime in Sept)

Steve, Joe, & Dan.

Hi Steve,
Happy belated birthday!!

A bunch of us are on the June 12th cruise too:thumbsup2

Hi Holly. You're up late ....or maybe you're gone now, IDK.
Nope, last night was an early night for me. I just checked and I posted that at 8:15pm. ;) I did go to bed early though, around 10pm. I've been just really worn out the last couple of days. Probably from the whole day of moving over the weekend and then cleaning all the next day and moving furniture around at my own house.

Hello

I am not happy today my computer got the virus.

I opened one email then opened youtube then suddenly full virus as all my friends texted me that they concerned that I send them email. I told them that I have not send any emails. They quickly deleted it straight away.

Grrrrr to Bebo (similar to Facebook) which had damaged my PC.
