Life...nope, Ok, Gather round...already taken, Ya'll aren't gonna....shoot :worship: Just a little shout out to some of the great report writers out there.
Since we are at the one year mark, I decided to start my pre trippie. Actually wrote one back in May for our first cruise but never finished the actua report.
There are many decisions to make once we know for sure whether Grandma will be able to travel with us. So, instead of driving my family and friends crazy, I will subject all of you to my crazy planning with pics of my cute kids  :yay: And of course if you know me from the meet thread, there will be plenty of
Stay tuned for a recap of our first cruise and pics of the family.

Lets introduce the cast, shall we??
Me:cool1: Mostly SAHM to 2 crzy girlies, lover of all things Disney and compulsive trip planner.
Dh :cool2: Accountant type, homebrewing, poker playing daddyman. Loves to roll his eyes at all my planning but gets into it at the end
DD 4:yay: Princess loving girly girl who asks almost everyday when we are going back on the Disney Boat
DD 2:banana: Loves here "dancing nanas" and tries to name all the princesses. She insists that Mulan is "cokenannas" and Pocahantus is "Moooolan"
We took our first Disney Cruise back in May with my inlaws. Had a great time! Here are some pics

Some resized better than others. We rebooked onboard for the Nov 09 Double Dip. Since we did the west coast ports we did not see Castaway Cay. Living in Az we do not see much of the beach so it was a no brainer.
Up Next, Grandma wants to go???

So, the planning starts. Since we are in Az we need to fly in a day early. Where should we stay? Having booked transfers I decide on the Carribean Beach Resort. :beach: :Brand new pool, fun themed rooms looks good. Then I read about MVMCP. :santa: The earliest we could get to Fl would be 4 in the aft, and the added $$ may be a little to much for one day. I check with Dh on the vacation days and we decide to fly in on thurs. :worship:  And since we have 2 princess loving little girls what do you think I thought of?? Thats right smart reader, The Bippity Boppity Boutique! And if you look like a princess you have to eat with one too!! princess: princess:
Sooo to recap 2 nights at CBR, BBB, CRT and MVMCP. Check me out droppin the acronyms left and right. Word. G'ma after being privy to the planning-like she had a choice-:jumping1: decides to give us the "extras" as an early Christmas present. :worship:
At sunday dinner a few weeks ago I am showing G'ma all the fun things. She is looking interested. She is talking staterooms and things to do. A little background. G'ma was a smoker and is paying the price. She is on oxygen 34/7 and cannot walk long distances. I say let me do some checking but with Disney and a little pixiedust: anything is possible......
Up next upgrades, hotel research and waiting for the Dr to say OK.

We did that for our cruise in March. We had 2 nights at POFQ, the Pirate & Princess party and 1 day at AK before we boarded the ship. It was a lot of fun.

When I last left you G"Ma was thinking about going with us. Since I have known her all my life :) I know that once she has a chance to think about things she often gets cold feet. Sooo the next morning I was on the phone bright and early with Costco travel. We were booked in a Cat 6 but taking all things into consideration decided connecting cabins would be our best bet. Cat 6 was anow gty only so that was a no go. Cat 5 had rooms close but not connecting. Cat 4 had connecting aft rooms PERFECT:cool1: Can you say upgrade!!
G"ma saw her pulmonologist today and her was all for the idea! Yay!! Now the planning begins. We are booked at CBR but I think that is to spread out for our needs. I think the Contempary would be a good fit since it is a monorail resort but the $$. Oy. Off to the resorts thread to check out all the info.

Since I last wrote, DH and I enjoyed a "adults only" trip to Vegas. Played me some hold'em and did ok. Not much to add to the cruise fund but fun was had.
I think we have decided to switch to the Contempary. Being a monorail resort right next to Magic Kingdom kinda seals the deal. G'Ma can "roll" from hotel to MK at will. She has also gracsiously offered to pay the $$ increase. :worship: :worship: We can also do a character breakfast at Chef Mickey's! The only downside is that the transfers we booked will not work from the Contemp. No DCL pickup. And there is no way I or Dh are going to schlep our bags to another resort that would not be a pretty picture. A lovely member of pur meet thread (shout out to mrp) is coordinating transpotation from WDW to the ship and then from the ship to airport. Riding in style I say. :cool1:
Found out today from the lovely lady at Costco Travel that our fuel surcharge is likely to be dropped if oil prices stay down around Dec 18th. Bonus-more drinks of the day or a massage.
Lots of Disney princess loot for the girls this year. Disney store was having some good sales :santa:

Speaking of massage, on our last cruise, the Magic had a 20% off any spa services of $100 or more for the embarkation day only. Definitely take advantage of that! I squeezed in an hour of deep tissue before the mandatory drill and it sure started the vacation right!

Hmmm, I will have to keep that in mind. Though with all I have "planned" for the first day.
I am currently awaiting quotes from DU and AAA on rooms at the CR. I plan to be sitting down when I look at them.

Happy New Year!!
Sadly, a change is plans. Grandma has decided not to go. :sad2: We are sad but not surprised. We have opted for a family trip to Disneyland instead. Sooo, there goes my Cat 4 upgrade, it was nice while it lasted. Will call Costco tomorrow and drop to a Cat 6 gty-can always hope for an upgrade right??:worship:  We will stick with the CBR and DCL transfers.
We hope to get to the new T Rex restraunt at DTD the night we arrive and then MK and MVMCP on fri. Also have started looking at excursions. Would really like to take the ODD on a dolphin swim. DH is also interested in the sub tour. It is all going to come down to how much $$$ we can save.
Thanks for reading-there are a few of you :)

Hi I am pretty new here (but not to DCL!)
We are also going on the Double Dip in Nov '09! This will be our 8th Disney Cruise! Dh & I were actually on the Maiden Voyage of the Magic for our Honeymoon back in July '98. We then took a few years off and started back in 2003 & have gone every year since then. we are a family of three with myself, Dh & 8 (almost 9yr. old son, Gavin).
Take care! I look forward to chatting it up with all of my fellow cruisers for the next 10 months!
